A block away from Kyoto Station. We loved its location, the 7Eleven on the ground floor and the staff was so helpful. The separate bathroom was heaven

Seriously, cannot say enough good things about this place! Within 4 minutes walk of Kyoto station so EXTREMELY convenient and walking distance to Don Quijote and Daiso (within 10 minutes walk) in addition to being attached to a 7/11 that’s open 24 hours a day!!! Also, the staff is lovely and so helpful! We needed to ship luggage the day we left the hotel to be delivered 5 days later to Tokyo (we were traveling with backpacks to Fuji and Tashirojima) and they handled everything for us for a reasonable charge and so much better than waiting in line/dragging the luggage to Kyoto station with us!!! The room itself was spacious enough for 2 people but the beds are standard Japanese beds (too firm for a bad back like mine) so that’s the only con I have to this hotel. Laundry machines were within the hotel (on floors 2,3, and 5) and cost ¥1000 for washing and drying of a “standard load” of clothes PLUS the coolest thing is there is a channel on your TV in your room that shows you the time left on every machine in the building as well as off ones are vacant! Very worth the money staying here for all the conveniences and, if you get the breakfast buffet, it’s good to try a bunch of traditional Japanese breakfast foods without feeling wasteful! Overall very happy with our stay!!!

The hotel location is in closed proximity to Kyoto Train station with restaurants all over, closed to shopping malls, and meeting points for tours starting from Kyoto. Very clean and well maintained hotel and will definitely come back and stay at this same place.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share it. The service level was far below what I would expect from a hotel in Japan. From the moment we checked in, the experience was unpleasant and poorly handled. Communication was extremely difficult, and when problems arose, there seemed to be little willingness or ability to properly understand, address, or resolve them. Unfortunately, my experience with the front office management was particularly disappointing. The attitude of the Front Office Manager, came across to me as rude, arrogant, and highly unprofessional. I also found communication with several members of management extremely challenging due to their limited ability to communicate in English. Of course, language barriers can happen anywhere, and I completely understand that not every hotel employee needs to speak fluent English. However, basic customer service, a respectful attitude, and a genuine effort to understand and assist guests should be fundamental. In my experience, those things were seriously lacking. What makes this even more disappointing is that we had originally planned to stay at this hotel for our entire visit to Kyoto. Instead, after just one night, we decided to check out and find another hotel. There are many excellent hotels in Kyoto that provide much better hospitality!!
