We traveled with our dog and the Kimpton is the perfect spot in Asheville. Centrally located and impeccably clean and well designed. The bathrooms were particularly nice. Only issue was that the hotel advertises as having EV charging, however there are only two spots shared with another hotel which means we were unable to recharge the car overnight. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay. The 5-6pm happy hour was a nice touch also.

The bar had a good selection and superb service. Although we did not have breakfast we did enjoy the coffee and tea bar set up at 7am. Beautiful presentation filling up a 10” table. Both big ceramic mugs and to go cups, several choices of milk and coffee served in large silver urns. Box of fine teas. Lovely!

We enjoyed the Kimpton for a week while we house hunted in western NC. The property is lovely, and includes a restaurant, bar, outdoor patio and easy access to everything downtown Asheville. Room service was excellent. Valet stand was very prompt and helpful. Loved the view from our room (north facing) and the refrigerator outside of our room for prepackaged bags of ice and filtered water. Doggie guests and their parents were everywhere, so very dog friendly. Only thing missing is a swimming pool and deck.

Hotel is modern and rooms are well thought out, reasonably spacious. We were easilly able to get adjoining rooms so our whole family could share space better. Location was ideal for strolling/shopping/dining nearby. Only complaint would be a lapse in housekeeping one day when we did not get fresh towels which were quite needed. Not addressed despite calling front desk. Despite this, would not hesitated to stay here again

I like how walkable the property was and how awesome the staff was. However, some minor issues came up for us. Our hotel room’s bathroom had urine spots on the toilet seat, how tv didn’t work, and it was hard finding a parking spot so you had to do valet. Overall the bedroom and was great but some minor things dented our score.

I really loved this hotel except for the lack of sound proofing in the rooms. The staff was amazing! I was genuinely impressed by the level of customer service and kindness. The hotel is beautiful as well, but I could hear literally every word spoken by the guests in the room next to mine. We might as well have been sharing one room.

We would give this spectacular hotel ten stars if we could! Our room (406 with 2 queens) was spacious and ultra comfortable, with careful attention to design and convenience. Super comfortable bed, fantastic shower, separate toilet, tons of storage and counterspace, and many other great amenities. What makes this hotel stand out even more is the service. The front desk was able to accommodate any request we had, even loaning us accessories we forgot! From them to the valet and restaurant staff, every employee was super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We can’t wait to come back!

Street noise is horrendous. Hear every loud car. Loud music playing past 11pm. Picked this hotel because “soundproof rooms”. Well the glass is not soundproof at all. Never been anywhere before so noisy.

Beautiful room with an amazing view of the mountains!! Amenities were top notch, they even had Epsom salts and bath oil for the huge soaking tub in our room. Definitely will stay here again when im back in Asheville.

Lovely hotel, very good location. All staff members we encountered were very friendly, kind and helpful. The only issue was with the hot water… on day one of our stay, the water was tepid at best, on day two it was somewhat better but still not good, days three and four it was fine but on the morning of the last day, we had to take showers with cold water! Whatever the issue is, it needs to be addressed. Other than that, our stay was extremely pleasant!

Good to stay. Modern and smart hotel. Well located, with a convenient and efficient valet parking. Two downer: First, Room service has to be charged to a credit card, not to the room. Fair, except that the software does not take credit card without a zip code, like mine (I do not reside in the US) upon calling, I was told I could come down and pay, then food will be delivered to my room. This defeats the purpose. Change your software supplier please. Second. The AC in the room is not really controllable. I called to ask how to raise the temperature and was told to put it on automatic and set the temperature 4 or 5 degrees higher than my target. Does not really works that well. At night I set it to 71F and it was 66.7F (I travel with a thermometer) at one point. Not very good. The Units are not powerfull enough. When raising it to above 80F in the morning, it took 35 minutes to go up.by 2 degrees F.

It's a very nice, new hotel where most everything is done exactly right. One caveat: No coffee in the room, so you have to get dressed and fetch it downstairs, which I always find annoying.

Overall, our experience at the Kimptom hotel was pleasant. All the staff and services provided was great. The area around the hotel was surrounded by variety restaurants to chose from and all walkable distance. Less desirable was the sirens from responders and other vehicles all throughout the night. Factor in these noises and lower quality of pillows , resulted in restless nights. We had higher expectations as we had stayed in several hotels before in downtown areas of multiple cities and I believe the soundproofing were better at these properties.

Can't say enough about ALL the staff! Seriously, all of them. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate and happily doing it. Suite was appointed beautifully and exceeded our needs. Reverse Osmosis water and ice available on every floor. Complimentary cold, bottled water, morning coffee & tea, afternoon refreshments, WSJ. A lot of little touches that add up to make a big difference, but again, the staff was amazing!

Room was great, but front desk guy on the morning of September 16, 2025 is a real piece of work and needs to be trained in customer service. Went downstairs to request toilet paper and his rude response was “housekeeping handles this”. Well I don’t know or care who handles it, or how to contact housekeeping, I just need my toilet paper. A better response would have been “No problem, I’ll call housekeeping to get this for you, what’s your room number?” I waited at least 15 minutes and had to make another call to the front desk before toilet paper arrived. Can this hotel keep some TP at the front desk like some other hotels do?

We had a wonderful experience! Jamie quickly upgraded us to a more accommodating room with the same great view, at no additional cost. We were welcomed with an anniversary gift of champagne and chocolate with a thoughtful note. The front staff were warm and professional, and the valet customer service was equally as professional. A must stay!

We just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary in Asheville and the Kimpton went above and beyond to make us feel special. From restaurant recommendations to the friendly service to helping me arrange for flowers in our room. Plus they made sure we had a great view from our room and wrote a wonderful note and gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly that we saved for our actual anniversary to have a toast. Bravo, Kimpton! Thank you for making us feel special and helping us celebrate.

Adam at check-in was phenomenal, very top notch employee! Berry & all front desk employees were truly a delight and hospitable. All the staff during the 5pm happy hour and the valet/doormen were kind. Housekeeping was very attentive. front desk

I had a nice view of the mountains from my room, and I was impressed with how many amenties the room had. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is in the downtown area, so you can easily walk to a bunch of different restaurants and shops. The art museum is caddy-corner to the hotel.

We had a very nice stay. The rooms, including the beds, are comfortable, and the bathroom is large with a nice, hot shower. We enjoyed the hydration station and being able to get iced when we wanted it. The on site restaurant was excellent, both regarding the food and service. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Apparently "Room Service Food" is a thing of the past. Are full meal ordered from the in-house Bargello restaurant was delivered as a take-out order with all plastic utensils and small paper napkins. No rolling-table was set up for eating in our room. Nice service people & nice facilities.

The staff, ambiance, and property were very nice. Check-in was easy and they even offered us a class of wine for happy hour that had just ended. We dined at District 42 the first night and I was even surprised with a couple scoops of ice cream to off set my order taking a little longer than expected.

Tastefully decorated, modern and ideally located within walking distance of everything downtown. Our room was very nice for a 5 night stay; we did note that the bathroom seemed to lack a fan. Otherwise clean and serviced every day. Breakfast was excellent and the service on all levels was friendly and efficient.
