Bay Hotel Tokyo Hamamatsucho

Nice hotel in a very convenient location, particularly liked the roof top seating area with beautiful view of Tokyo tower. Also very useful was the lobby area with the kitchen facilities

Bay Hotel is in a very convenient location, only a short walk from the train station, and a short walk to the monorail station for Haneda airport. There is a great little area in the lobby with a washer & dryer, tea & coffee and a kitchen sink & microwave. The beds are comfortable and the shower is good. Overall we were very happy and will definitely stay here next time we're in Tokyo.

Das Hotel liegt in perfekter Fußnähe zur Station "Daimon", von der aus man eine sehr gute Anbindung an ganz Tokyo hat. Die Station ist in nicht mal 5 Minuten erreichbar. Außerdem gibt es eine riesige Anzahl an Supermärkten (7 Eleven, Familymart, Lawson) in unmittelbarer Nähe, genauso wie eine extrem große Anzahl an Restaurants, die wirklich alle super lecker sind (zumindest die sieben, die wir dort probiert haben. :)) Der Check In hat problemlos funktioniert und die Hotelangestellten waren hilfreich und sehr freundlich. Das Housekeeping ist alle 4 Tage, was für uns persönlich voll und ganz ausreichend war. Sollte man neue Sachen, wie zb Handtücher, benötigen, so kann man ganz einfach beim Personal anfragen und bekommt diese auch. Handtücher, sowie ein Föhn und Duschzeug, Zahnbürste etc wurden vom Hotel gestellt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und modern, eine Klimaanlage war vorhanden. Die Dusche war sehr schön und geräumig. Einziger Kritikpunkt: ein Schrank o.ä. wäre perfekt gewesen, so musste man schauen, dass man die Koffer am besten aufeinander stapelt. Es hat aber auch mit 4 Koffern pronlemlos funktioniert. Das Hotel verfügt über eine Lobby und eine Dachterrasse, die man benutzen kann. Die Dachterrasse bietet eine super Aussicht auf die Umgebung und man kann den Toyko Tower super sehen. Dieser ist ebenfalls ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hotel aus erreichbar. Das Parken und das Essen kann ich nicht beurteilen, da wir dies beides nicht in Anspruch genommen haben. Es war sehr schön!

Väldigt bra kvalitet versus pris ratio. Ligger centralt och nära två stora stationer. Vi har önskat oss att bo högre upp och hamnade enbart på 5e våningen så det var dock det enda minuset. Annars jättetrevlig personal, utsikt mot Tokyo tower från rooftoppen och mysig lobby med kaffe och te samt gratis toalettartiklar.

Great stay! The hotel was a short walk from the train station and surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores. Staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. Loved the free amenities in the lobby, clean and well-equipped room (hair dryer, iron, shoe dryer), and the spacious bathroom with double sinks and a separate toilet. Having a washer/dryer on our floor was so convenient. Perfect for our family— we’d stay here again!

Although the room is quite small, but the lobby has seats and tables for people hanging out and there’s a small kitchen as well.

Handy monorail access to Haneda Airport. Not a lot of shopping in the surrounding area. Roof top access at the hotel is a good feature. Room in general is on a small size by western standard. Toilet is a reasonable size. Kitchen and laundry facilities at the foyer are handy and accessible.

The hotel itself is good and the location is great with 2 train stations within a few minutes walk. There are numerous kombinis nearby (Lawson, Family Mart, 7/11). We stayed in a Hollywood twin which had an ok amount of space for a room in Japan. The hotel doesn’t offer daily cleaning which is the same as most hotels in Japan now, due to environmental policies. The room had a form of air con however it is centrally controlled and at some times was blasting hot air. We did have a window in the room we could open a bit but it was a bit of an oven at certain times and really uncomfortable. You can put your rubbish outside your door for collection or bath towels but you don’t get replacements, like at other hotels who hang a replenishment bag on your door handle for you to take into the room. Cleaning staff are lovely. We asked for new bath towels at the reception but the staff gave us hand towels. Japanese staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful, European staff members weren’t and were unhelpful at check-in where they just assumed we knew what to press on the self check-in screen and hiw to sort our own room key. They were quite patronising when they did show us what to do. One lift in the hotel which is fine for quiet times but if you need to use it to get up or down in the hotel quickly at busy times you’re stuck. One washer and one dryer at the hotel which smelled quite damp. Roof terrace does have some great views of the city and Tokyo Tower.

Though we didn't utilize it, this hotel had a kitchen and table area on the first floor available to guests who might want to prepare their own meals.

Clean & new rooms. Spacious bathroom. Great lobby area & rooftop seating. Very helpful staff. Gracious storage of luggage b4 checkin or after checkout.

The location was very convenient to mass transit. We were disappointed that there was no air conditioning for our room. The hotel had changed over to central heating. Therefore our room for a hot a 24.5c before we had all HVAC turned off. We had to open the window. During the day/ closed at night due to the noise, cutting off any air circulation. Also, it was advertising daily cleaning. This did not happen. Instead it was every 4 days.

Spacious room and very clean

10 min walk from hamamatsucho station. Small room, but okay for the price. Roof top access with cool view of tokyo tower. Overall good stay for travelling, dust in corners and switches should be cleaned once in a while though.

親切で助けてくれるスタッフがいます。ドラッグストア、レストラン、コンビニエンスストアの近くにあります。 唯一の難点は、トイレとシャワーが同じ部屋にあり、すりガラスのスライドドアで仕切られていることです。4人の友人で滞在するには、もう少しプライバシーが欲しいと感じました。 部屋のスツールには汚れがついていましたが、それ以外は部屋は清潔でした。 スタッフは、チェックアウト後に友人の荷物を数時間預かってくれました。最近はこうしたサービスが難しくなっている宿も多いので、利用者がこの親切を悪用しないことを願っています。 Kind and helpful staff. Located close to drugstores, restaurants, and Convenience stores. Only downfall is the toilet and shower are in the same room which is separated by a fog glass sliding door. Not ideal for 4 friends who want more privacy than that. The stool in the room had stains all around it. Other wise the room was clean. The staff let our friend store their luggage for a few hours after check out. I hope people don’t abuse this as a lot of places aren’t able to do this anymore.

I paid an extra fee for cleaning when I booked the room. Upon check-in, the staff provided me with a guideline stating that the cleaning time was from 10am to 4pm. On the first and second days, I put the cleaning sign on the door during the 10am to 4pm timeframe, but no one cleaned my room. I then asked the reception, and they said they would follow up on it the next day. On the third day, when I returned to my room in the evening, I found a large A4 size notice on my door that mentioned the cleaning notice needs to be placed on the door by 10am. This information was not provided to me during check-in. I went to the reception to explain that the cleaning guidelines were not clearly communicated to me during check-in, and that putting up a large notice on my door was impolite. However, the manager (a man) who came out had a very rude and unprofessional attitude. He insisted that there was no problem on their end and that I was in the wrong, despite the lack of clarity in their cleaning policies. I absolutely require an apology from the hotel, as well as clear and transparent cleaning guidelines, to avoid such issues for future guests. The poor service attitude displayed by the manager was unacceptable. The hotel needs to improve its communication and customer service standards.

入住時沒有幫忙確認房間是否準備好， 直接拒絕在入住時間前提供房間。 雖然是沒有清潔房間的方案， 但也沒有協助清理垃圾， 入住七天只提供一天的房間清潔， 毛巾/浴巾也只有房間清潔的那一天提供更換。 房間空調為中央控制，無法變更， 所以房間會有悶熱的現象。

Das Zimmer war zwar sehr klein, aber top sauber. Es war ein Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und Fön vorhanden - ebenfalls sehr sauber und in einwandfreiem Zustand. Die Kissen war mir persönlich zu hart. Die Dusche war spitze - toller Wasserduck inkl. Shampoo und Duschgel. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen.

Our room was small, but very clean. The bathroom was the best part! The shower was very comfortable. From our room on the eighth floor we could see the Tokyo tower. There’s access to the rooftop as well where you can see the Tokyo tower even better! Overall a nice experience although a bit small.

Quiet area. There are food options and coffee shops very close by, a 24 hour drug store within walking distance, and it is close to the train station. I especially like how large the rooms are. Lots of space for luggage and walking around.

Conveniently located near hamamatsucho station. Only issue we had was that our room got very hot in the evening. Can’t change the temperature in the thermostat.

The room size is very very small. There’s barely any room to open one bigger luggage. The chairs were more in the way than useful in my opinion.

Our second time staying at this hotel. Rooms still feel clean and well-maintained, with strong water pressure from rainshower. We enjoy the well-equipped and cosy lobby, good for enjoying food/drinks any time or for freshening up before/after check out. Reducing a star as the new policy does not allow guests to pay to extend check-out hours, which makes the 10am checkout timing seem really restrictive.

I am very disappointed by the check-in and check out times. The check in is at 4PM and I reached at 3:30 PM. The staff didn’t even bother to check if the room was ready. Just a nonchalant, you will have to wait till 4. This attitude really pissed me off. This check in time is as it is quite late. On top of that, they want us to check out at 10 PM. Overall I am very disappointed at the customer service. This is probably my worst experience over my stay all over Japan.

Awful experience. Do not waste your time and money at this property. The photos are taken very close up to disguise what this place really looks like. Completely does not match what we saw in images. Amenities are blocked off for staff use only, vending machine is malfunctioning (takes your money and doesn’t dispense anything), laundry room is not a room, it’s a single machine.. behind a pillar… IN the lobby which is already tiny and PACKED with other people held luggage. Check In machines don’t work. Our check in took 40 minutes or more. We stayed at 4 other hotels and took no longer than 5 min for check in. We booked another hotel and decided to leave this one, staff was EXTREMELY rude and started an argument about our “preferences” for another hotel, rather than owning up to the obvious issues this hotel has.

I don’t understand why is it so complicated to check in. They have a screen that you have to put your name in it. And can’t even check in using booking number Just the name, and it has to be exactly right. I booked using my English name yet it was registered as katakana It took them 7 minutes to figure that out. Hotel’s room etc is nice but check in service was just horrible…

共住宿六天，有安排第四天讓房務人員簡易打掃（因環保理由，是可以接受的），check in 時櫃檯人員有特別說明我們離開房間後才會進去打掃，當日因前些天的行程太累決定多休息一下再出門，房務人員敲門要求我們離開，跟他溝通說我們需要點時間準備40分鐘後離開，他卻說不可以只能15分鐘，態度不是很好，離開房間後他也還在打掃其他間房間，唯有這部分感受不好，其他都不錯。

Very close to the local train station making it easy access to the rest of the city. Hotel was very nice and the room was very good for the price.

Fantastic location. Close to train station. A walk to Ginza/ Tokyo. Fast access from Hamamatsucho Station for Haneda Monorail for airport.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. It was right in the heart of WTC. The room was very small, but we were expecting that. The hotel was a little far from the main attractions, but it was very quiet. Only a 3 minute walk from the train station.

The best part of this hotel is that it is very closely and conveniently located to the JR Hamamatsucho station. This station is also directly connected to the Tokyo Haneda Airport monorail so very easy access from the airport.

Excellent location for first night's in Tokyo. Super easy to get to using monorail from Haneda. Located near multiple stations. Walkable to Tokyo tower, team lab borderless, and Hamarikyu gardens.

It’s close to 2 railways (JR and Subway) which easy to travel to other places. However, we can walk to the pier to see Odaiba bridge or we can get on the boat to Odaiba or Asakusa. We can also walk to Tokyo Tower as well. Overall, this is great location for traveler come to Tokyo Haneda Airport.

Property was in a great location with very easy access to the train within a 5 minute walk. The room was spacious and had enough room for our party of four. The hotel does not have any food accommodations however there is plenty of options within walking and even the corner bakery. Simple and easy and would definitely recommend to any family coming to Tokyo.

Excellent location - very close to the station. Fantastic bakery just on the corner for delicious pastries and great coffee also nearby. The only issue we had was that although there are many restaurants in the area, they were almost always full with locals/workers and it was tricky to find availability. Could not fault the hotel, the staff, rooms, cleanliness though!

Location is Superb!!! Lots of Izakaya around, no need to worry where to have dinner and alcohol.
