Centennial Plaza Resort Gulfport

Loved the lazy pool, staff was nice. Was put by elevators and had to deal with loud children running up and down the hall and the loud elevator everytime it came up. Light from ac was positioned so that it shined in my eyes all night. Only had one barteneder working on a sat afternoon and had to wait almost an hour for two drinks. Hopefully things can improve for next time bc overall i did enjoy my stay.

Great property with a great pool area. Lazy river is open until 9 which is great. Definitely need more bartenders at the pool bar and maybe bartenders with a better attitude. Also update speaker system. A lot of the speakers around the pool area are broken.

Great place to stay. 2 places for food, arcade, put put golf, water park, lazy river, ice cream shop. Service was great, staff extremely nice, very clean. Only thing I wouldn't give 5 stars is parking but our room was next to the water park so maybe the whole resort isn't as bad.

Great time with friends. The pool area and lazy river are very nice and a lot of fun. The Bloody Marys are delicious. Will definitely be back.

We love coming to Oasis. It has a great waterpark for both kids and parents.

Booked 2 rooms , both rooms had no tv service .they switched us rooms and still no tv service. They do not restock their bars esp pool bar. And only 1 bartender , took 45 min to order a drink.

Had to go to a complete different building to check in.

Only issue I had was parking was limited and we had to walk a distance to our room.

We really loved this stay. This hotel is a historic location and was most recently a VA Hospital. The grounds are clean and walkable with a view of the Gulf. The large trees are especially beautiful. We stayed in the Grand, but there is another option for families at the Oasis on the same campus. When we stayed, off season, there were no breakfast options other than the Wine Bar’s bagel offerings with coffee - complimentary. There is a water park on the Oasis side, but was closed when we were there. The elevator was super quick and music played in the hallways. That’s kind of unique in hotels from my experience. There is a historic fountain at the entrance of the Grand. With colored lights, the water dances to music while guests can sit on benches that surround the fountain.While breakfast was limited, lunch and dinner was available at the Hippie Fish restaurant on the campus, along with mini-gold and arcade. Free Parking was easily accessible. One thing that stood out was the fresh scent that greeted us in the lobby and hallways. The beach is across the street and just East is a large beach parking lot. There are multiple Waffle House restaurants and iHop on the strip to makeup for off season lack at the hotel. Walmart is also nearby for essentials. Good location and great stay. Highly recommend.

Property was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Lazy river was very nice, took you directly to the bar!!

All areas were clean and well kept, was able to order towels via text messaging, pool was well supervised. Enjoyed our stay.

We thought this would be a fun little stop with our kids on our travels but we was wrong. We checked in and brought our luggage to the room which smelled We couldn’t place the smell. It was a rainy/stormy day and the pool had just reopened so we just changed and went to the waterpark. When we got back I noticed the filth. Mold in the shower, something slimy coming from the bottom of the toliet, a piece is someone’s hair on the bed that we hadn’t even touched, not to mention the smell we finally figured it out - it smelt like cig smoke (were non smokers and with 2 small kids this wasn’t acceptable). So we changed and packed luggage up and brought our room keys back to the front and let them know about the smell and told them we had pictures (they didn’t even care enough to look at the pictures). The waterpark was the only nice thing about it aside from the fact that they “ran out” of towels and so we had to walk back to our rooms cold and wet. We noticed an additional charge on our card from them the next day and called to talk to the manager on duty who also couldn’t care about our problems with the room. I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews but def will not stay here again. I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels that were way nicer.

Bathroom in our room is dirty with hair and needs mopped. Gave us wrong room keys had to go back. The beach is wonderful and very close. Beautiful property

After checking into the Centennial Plaza late on Friday, April 4th, we were disheartened to find that the carpet in our room was visibly unclean. Concerned about potentially being charged for the large stains, I called the front desk. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a wait due to a high volume of patrons. Despite this, I managed to pass my message along, but later that night, I decided to drive to the front desk to request extra blankets. Later on, I walked down to the wine bar to grab something to eat. When I arrived, the bar was empty, but the bartender came over within minutes. After I inquired about the menu, he denied me food service, saying he expected a larger crowd later that night. I was the only person at the bar at the time, and his nonchalance about the situation was frustrating. He suggested that I walk to the Oasis in Building Six for food. I would have preferred to drive because building six isn't close, and the parking lot is poorly lit. I drove to Oasis, and no one was at the hostess podium, but I waited patiently. I ordered from Oasis, and my order was prepared wrong. The fries were hot but soggy, and the tomatoes and lettuce were incredibly soft. I have attached a picture for your review. Is the quality expected? I checked out early. The service wasn't as expected, which left me disappointed. I've debated on posting my review on Yelp. Other patrons should be aware of what to expect during their visit.

Very clean & nice! Friendly staff! Great location

We have loved this place and have been visiting 1–2 times a year. Unfortunately, during this stay, we encountered several serious issues that need attention. Our room had a strong mildew smell, with warped closet paneling and visible mildew on the ceiling. The odor was overwhelming. The toilet seat was broken, and on the second morning of our two-night stay, we woke up to fire ants in the bed. Additionally, the door did not lock and required no key, which is a significant safety concern. I reached out to the hotel directly while there but did not receive a response.

Carpet had stains in it staples sticking up out of it empty soda can wedged on the side of the fridge but everything else was good

Had to change rooms due to unclean sheets and my 2nd room the heat didn't work..So were cold

Hotel itself was very clean and staff was polite. We did have to move rooms due to the tv/cable/internet not working after the first night there. It would also benefit the hotel for guest experience to hire more staff as we were unable to have breakfast Sunday (we did enjoy a nice breakfast Saturday but were one of the first guests to arrive at 7;00am) morning at The Grill even after waiting an hour for service. We eventually left and went to another restaurant off property. Any issues that needed to be discussed with front desk also took a bit long as the front desk was also understaffed. Thank you.

The beds are literally concrete!! Pillows were small and flat. Definitely needs an upgrade.

Our room was very spacious with comfortable beds. The major drawback was such poor ventilation from the bathroom fan that the tile floor in the bathroom and room entry stayed puddled with water. We showered in the morning and when returned to our room after 8pm the floors were covered in water despite us having used our towels to dry the floor prior to leaving

We was put in a room between 2 elevators. No sleep at all. Noisey. Loud.

When connected to wifi Google sent a warning the router had been used in a ddos attack and may be infected itself. Called front desk and they said they would have maimtenance take a look at it. Not sure what they could do. Followed up the next day and same respomse. Also contacted they by FB and their website. No action taken. Otherwise ok though it took a week to get a receipt.

The room was very large and spacious. The bathroom was large and equipped with a spacious walk in shower.

I absolutely love the Oasis but the room was super hot, I spent most of my time in the lazy river it was amazing and very relaxing

Love the lazy river! Very clean & great water flow! Just wish it was open later than 8pm during the week to avoid the sun. Nice rooms! Wish there was a microwave & more storage though - both drawers & shelves would be helpful. Like having a small fridge at least. Will say that the in-room safe is a bit of a joke since it's not attached to anything & someone could just take the whole thing. Felt safe on the property so not a deal-breaker. Pretty property & are standard go to when visiting family in the area during the warm season. This was our 2nd visit & we'll definitely be back.

Beautiful grounds. Rooms are climate controlled so bring a portable fan if you are a person like me who gets hot. 3 stalls for bathroom area at poolside for women & very hot in bathroom with no soap. Not enough umbrellas at the poolside & not allowed to bring your own. No sitting areas around the grounds for people with disabilities who need to sit. Bathrooms in centennial have a latch to a sliding barn like door so you can still see someone in the bathroom bc there is no door lock. Other than that & the parking being a little congested, beautiful place at the centennial. Beautiful lit up fountain at night in the central location of the park. Very spacious room with several outlets for usb plug in. Towels provided already at poolside. Overall nice stay for someone with small kids or relaxing trip.

Our air conditioning went out and when I texted for more towels at 6pm they didn’t answer until 6am the next morning when we were checking out

Front desk staff was great, got checked in quickly. Told us about the dining options and amenities. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bartender was was great very personable. Great experience overall.

I have stayed in lots of hotels and the staff at this place are better than any I have ever stayed in. They go above and beyond what you would ever imagine. They are so nice, so friendly, & bend over backwards to make your stay excellent. I highly recommend this hotel. The next time I am in Biloxi, this is absolutely where I will stay.

Warning do not stay at this property. There is no one in charge we were forced to check in at 4 PM after arriving at 3 PM and being told our room was ready but it would be a $25 an hour early check in penalty fee. Just as luck would have it in June on the Mississippi gulf coast by the time 4 o’clock rolled around there was a huge lightning and thunder storm. There were many people in the same boat as me being forced to wait even though their rooms were ready and we all ended up getting soaking wet Checking in at 4 PM. Just stay away from this property no one cared. It wasn’t that busy? It was one of the Premier properties on the coast when it opened but not anymore.

The stay and everyone I met at the resort was excellent. The only bad in this stay was the resort double charged me. I have tried to deal with the resort but was referred to my bank. So I had to dispute the charge. After several phone calls to the resort this could have all been prevented.

Check in time late 4:00pm… only 1 receptionist for check in that why take so long . 1:30hour for check in.. I don’t like that

Our hotel room and the pool area was the best part of our stay. We ordered a pizza that was only suppose to take 15 minutes. Turned into 2 hours.. the guy bartender did help us get our pizza and would check on us pretty often to see if we’ve gotten it (we ordered it with the girl). The breakfast restaurant was horrible. The food was okay, but the service was horrendous. The girl that served us, didn’t bring what we asked for after asking 3 times, and getting up to ask her a fourth time. After bringing us a check with everyone’s stuff on it. We asked her to spit it (like we told her to) and she came back with receipts for us to sign , with no pen. We waited 15 minutes after asking for a pen, she walked by plenty of times, she would stand around talking. We met her at the front where you get seated. And asked for a pen, she blatantly looked at us and walked away. My husband grabbed a pen for me off the desk, we signed and left. She was completely unapologetic and seemed like she could care less of customers wants/needs. I’m not the type to say the customer is always right because that’s not always the case, but from server experience, her service was horrible. I do not remember her name but I’m sure cameras from date and time could tell the establishment who she was.

Hotel was an A plus for me. I’m big on first impressions and the hotel guest was phenomenal. My room was very clean and it smelled great.

Nice and open property. Water park was nice but gets very crowded. Parking situation needs to be better. No place to really unload and load up without blocking the road.

Loved the classic Southern style and architecture of the Centennial Plaza! Not much around when it comes to shopping or restaurants within walking distance of the resort, so renting a car or planning to use a ride share service is recommended. The pool is beautiful but if choosing this resort for that, note that doesn’t open until March which I hadn’t seen in the advertising on Expedia. I was bummed to find that out, however, the resort is right across from a beautiful beach so I was able to still enjoy the water and sunshine! Expedia also says that there is a fitness center on-site, but I was not able to find that either. The fountain was one of my favorite places to sit and relax during the day, and at night I loved watching the fountain light up and dance with the music! All of the staff was incredibly kind and made it such a memorable stay! Thank you for a lovely trip!!

This Hotel property is very beautiful to stayfor a couple. The layout can be confusing and may take some patience to navigate. Parking in some areas are not easily accessible and may require walking a short distance. The room is very nice and clean but a little plain in decor. My room was well equipped except for the lack of a Microwave. I would suggest bringing your own pillows, the one's furnished are too soft. We did run out of towels and requested replacements, but we never received them. If these issues are addressed, it would be a lot better experience.

The property was beautiful with the beach right across the street. Rooms were large and clean. It is in between the casinos in Biloxi and downtown Gulfport, so dining options are limited in the walkable area, but a very close drive. It is very quiet in the area.

Very quiet, well kept hotel. Friendly staff. Local to several attractions. Facilities are located on a large lot. Plenty of parking and expansions are ongoing for more entertainment.

Perfect for a quick trip with the family. We were traveling with our 6 and 4 years old. The restaurants were reasonably priced and the food was tasty. The water park was perfect for the little ones. We will return!

Took a family trip for a couple days Aug 13-15, 2023. We had family photos the 13th so we didn’t arrive until 7:30ish. We stayed in the Centennial Hotel. The evening front desk receptionist was fantastic. She was very friendly and accommodating with our requests. We rushed to get changed into our suits to go to the pool/lazy river since they closed at 9pm. We got over there around 8:10pm & went right to the pool bar to experience the rudest bar tender. My daughter-in-law asked about the jalapeño cucumber Margarita and he told her it sucked. She asked if he could do an Orange Crush. He held up two different bottles and said you tell me what I’m missing. He was a complete jerk! Day 2 this same jerk closed the pool bar 2 hours early and went and hung out in the arcade area. When we asked the young kid who was working the gate he told us the bar tender told him he wasn’t making any money so he was shutting it down for the night. We experienced several times being told food or drinks weren’t available because they ran out. The Oasis cafe had zero beignets which was a major disappointment. The daytime pool gate guy on Monday was very rude and sarcastic as well. This is supposed to be a resort. It does not feel like a resort nor do they treat you as if you’re staying at a resort. The lazy river/pool area is the ONLY thing good here. We paid $1300 for 4 rooms for 2 nights. Wayyyy tooo much for what you get. Can’t get a manager on the phone either.
