My wife and I were very pleased with the hotel stay. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with our stay. The security service in the elevator was very good you have to used your room key to get to your floor.

We almost couldn’t get a place to park when we checked in. There was only one space available when we arrived and a sign indicated that it was restricted, but the desk person kindly allowed us to park there. Things worked out for us, but it seems like more parking should be made available for guests.

Check in is at 3 PM. I get there at 2:30 and I'm told my room will be ready in 15 minutes. I give them 30 minutes and go back to the desk. I'm told it's still not ready. I have an event to be at at 5PM. I finally get checked into a room at 4PM. No, I'm sorry for your wait, let us make this up to you. Nothing! The shower had a long black hair on the shower wall. Holiday Inn Express is usually top notch. This one wasn't.

The corners of the bathroom had not been cleaned in some time. There was hair on the shower floor when we arrived. The large signs at the entrances made me wonder if it was a safe place. Signs about rude patrons were unprofessional. I will not stay here again.

The hotel was fine. I was under the impression it was a newer hotel but it did not look that way as our bathroom had a little dirt and mold buildup in the corner by the shower. The rest of the hotel was great and I thought the free breakfast was very adequate. I would stay here again.

It was dark outside, but inside was delightful. Clean, quiet, Easy to locate room from the lovely staff’s directions. Room was SUPER clean. Amenities were great. Breakfast was more than adequate. Checkout was simple. Staff was excellent, explained EVERYTHING, very courteous and efficient. KNOWLEDGEABLE.!!!! WOW!!!!

I booked this stay as just a stop point, but I chosen a Holiday Inn Express because I had stayed at one in Hillsborough, NC the week before and it was perfect. Here, I’m pretty sure I bruised my knee on the rock hard mattress. My large LED TV turned on by itself at 2am and woke me up with a message screen thanking me for my stay and showing checkout options. But, my room was very clean. Only one elevator was working, and right when I arrived a little after 10pm there was a dominoes delivery that the desk person had to escort to its delivery point because the elevator requires a key for use, and it took him forever to get back because only one elevator. I was in a lot of pain because I have orthopedic issues, and there wasn’t a handicap spot available, so I parked where I could and unloaded so I wouldn’t have to go back to my car. But I was given a parking pass to put on my dash, which I ignored. It’s not a populated area, but there are an awful lot of security measures I didn’t encounter at the other hotel in Hillsborough… And the breakfast was uninspired. No waffle makers, just a rapid pancake machine that was having issues working correctly, no steel cut oatmeal and toppings, no biscuits and gravy, just eggs, sausage, bacon. They had Quaker oatmeal packets and hot water. No thanks. The coffee also tasted very burnt.

We stayed here on 7/17 on our trip south. Check in was a breeze , reservations were made in advance. No changes in price , no surprises. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean , plenty of hot water and towels. Breakfast was good and had many choices. Check out was as simple as dropping the room cards off. Can recommend.

Very clean, spaceous room and not cluttered with dark furniture, refrig tucked out of floor or desk space, and clean bathroom. only small issue was the thermostat was difficult to operate/didn't respond as simply as it should, would blow hit air if you want it to cool. Otherwise a great stay and will book again when in area.

Check in took about 10-15 minutes, me being second in line. Manny was busy checking his phone, texting someone and not even acknowledging that I was standing in front of his window. His colleague was checking in another customer when I got in the building and about 10 minutes after I got in. When it finally was my turn to get to Manny’s colleague’s window, he was able to check me in in less than a minute. Someone needs to take a look at the front desk customer service.

Not in the best area for starters. Front desk staff at checkin was very rude and had comments to stay about members checking in. Refused to offer any assistance with questions about extra charges. Expedia nor this Hotel mentioned there was going to be an extra $191 hold on your card before checking in and also no where did it mention you would have a $50 charge also added. For two nights/king beds our Expedia total was $398. Upon arrival the $191 was being held on our card plus the $50 plus the $398 for a grand total at checkin/day of $639. That’s a $241 difference then what we were expecting to pay/be charged. That’s outrageous for a mediocre hotel at best. Minimal breakfast options, AC unit was nothing short of overbearingly loud, bugs were located in our room, rock hard bed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Most of all how unfriendly the staff were from start to finish. Check in process/check out process was awful! I will be following up with management. Take my advice for the amount you’d pay at this awful hotel, just use that money on a much better hotel that’s worth it!

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. They denied us to stay there due to age restrictions. That is understandable, although still let me book the room and took my money. The manager, Catherine, was extremely rude, and even began name calling and threatening. Additionally, the front desk employee, who made me stand outside and give her all of my information before ordering me inside, delivered eye rolls and smart remarks at questions I had about the area, to simply find another place to stay. Stole my money, and treated me like a dog. This hotel is a scam. Worst travel experience.

For a one night stay travelling south this was a great option. Affordable, just off the highway and clean and comfortable. Not the greatest walk to dinner options but it an option. Find good dinner options 1/2 hour walk away along a busy Main Street. It was nice to not have to drive.

The hotel is good. If you're like me, you read Civic Center and thought it was a little closer to Downtown and where the action is.....it is not. The downtown and all the restaurants and bars are a mile away and it's an unfriendly walk along a very busy road to get there. The free breakfast was quite good though and the hotel is fine, so if you're not interested in walking to shops and restaurants it could be a good option.\

Room very comfortable, but the complimentary breakfast was not good. The scrambled eggs were brown on the bottom and the fresh fruit was anything but. The bananas were so bad, they look like they had been in a battle. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, I was apologized to but told “yeah we get them from Walmart.”For guests that does not eat a lot of processed foods, fresh fruit is the only option when you stay in a hotel. Very disappointed.
