The property was worth the money. They had daily breakfast which was delicious, staff was kind, friendly and efficient. The room was very clean. Fitness room and fire pit were nice additions. There's also a computer you can use in the lobby. I will definitely stay here again.

This was such a nice property, but I had a little one who was very disappointed because the pool was closed. When I asked the front desk about it no explanation was given. She just stated yes it’s closed. We chose this hotel because it had a pool. Other than that disappointment with no explanation, the hotel was great. We had no other problems.

Pros: Located near freeway, near different shops and dining options, near Carowinds Cons: plumbing issues (both tub and sinks did not drain quickly, tub would have huge puddle), did not know that the policy was to request housekeeping and if that is the standard, then it needs to be stated during the booking process. When we did ask for housekeeping, only our trash was taken out and towels replaced, however beds were not made/linens changed. The toilet and the tub are in separate rooms, both that have a frosted glass sliding door. However, when you turn the light on, it illuminates the entire room. So, if you need your room completely dark while sleeping, that won’t happen if you are staying with someone who needs to use the restroom in the middle of the night.

Spacious room with 2 comfortable beds plus a full sized couch with twin trundle bed, included sheets. Room overlooked Carowinds, great view! The tub had some kind of stain, some washed away, not sure if it was hair dye from a previous guest? The doors to the shower and toilet are translucent and the shower room door did not close fully. Breakfast was included with plenty of choices. Did not use the pool, but it looks well maintained. Gated parking was also included. Friendly staff. Exercise room was larger than most & well maintained.

Room 218 had bed bugs, and we were moved to 318 which was right on top of 218, which didn’t make sense to begin with. Checked the beds in room 318 and there was food and yogurt behind the bed. The maintenance man even said it was bad and took pictures and sent them to me. Housekeeping is not doing their job, especially when my other room was dirty behind the bed. Front desk and maintenance team were friendly and understanding. It’s not the front desk fault, it’s housekeeping not checking. Looks like they were there for a while as some were big and dried out and plenty of small ones. Had to do laundry 1:00 am in morning and left at 4:00am because we couldn’t sleep

Amazing location to carowinds (10 min walk) , very comfy bed and excellent shower and decent breakfast. Sadly found a bug in our bed on the first morning and there were stains on the trundle bed for my daughter but staff allowed us to move rooms. I wish they would have made up the trundle bed for us in the new room though , save us having to do and go back to reception to find a new sheet becuase the new one they gave us didn’t fit 🙈 but all in all a great stay.

Staff was friendly, breakfast was delish, room was mainly good. As we walked up to our room there was trash on the floor right outside our door. There was some moldy spots in the shower and on the ceiling. The shower leaked on the floor and made a slippery mess. One day we returned and the carpet just outside of the shower room was soaked, and it never dried out. I don't think that was from our showers either bc the water from those was on the other side of the room.

The bathroom needs a ventilation system. Family members slipped when going in the bathroom twice. Our items placed in the bathroom were damp. The wallpapers is peeling off in several places due to moisture. This will eventually lead to mold!

I love the updated SpringHill suites so this choice was a no brainer and did not disappoint. We asked for late checkout and we’re given it so it was very nice to have a slow morning. The only thing that was not my favorite was the bathroom and shower being separate, just not a preference of mine. Would definitely stay again!

They have crazy amounts of power outlets and charging station , you can charge your devices everywhere in the room. One other thing I want to mention is outside lamps are too bright , but who cares, after a whole day driving, I can even sleep with lights on

Overall it was a quick stay here and everything was enjoyable with the hotel itself as well as the very courteous staff. Only thing that was a turn off was the amount of noise coming off the highway at 4:30 in the morning. Should have known better being so close to it.

I thought the room setup was a bit strange. The sliding door for the bathrooms gave no real privacy. The bathroom toilet area was also lacking a vent and that led to a very smelly experience.

I recently booked a room at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte at Carowinds. I wasn’t able to check in until 5pm! Check in is normally 4pm and check out is 11am. Staffing issues was reason for the delayed check in according to the receptionist at the front desk. That delay ruined my night! If I’m paying you over two hundred dollar per night I expect my room to be ready! 4pm to 11am is already a short turnaround!

The front desk clerk was very rude and unfriendly. Tried to state that Expedia booked my room wrong when I was able to show her my reservation and then proceed to accuse me of her of lying about my room and told me all I had to do was ask her to move my room. Then placed me on hold because she had another guest as if I wasn’t a new guest. This was very disappointing being my first time at such a nice property.

Check in was horrible. At 3:35pm we arrived and I said we’d like to check in. Knowing check in begins at 4pm, I still thought at the very least, we could store bags and get a text as to when our room is ready as ALL OTHER MARRIOTT PROPERTIES DO. Not to mention we are only 25 min early. The front deff so k employee said “check in is at 4. All the people in the lobby (which was now packed) need to check in, the man in front of you just now needs to check in so you need to wait until 4pm.” He said it with attitude and rudeness and again didn’t offer anything up as far as bag storage etc. Other guests in the lobby says they experienced the same and were floored because they have stayed in numerous hotels and never experienced such a strict rule without any customer service.

We loved our stay here, and Pauline went above and beyond every time for us. We drove 15 hours to get there and she got us in our room a little early. All the staff was helpful and super kind, but Paulina was extra special to us, and she is DEF an asset to your establishment!!!!

The hotel was excellent. We arrived early to go in the amusement park and the desk clerk gave us a free parking pass for the park. That was a nice surprise. The hotel is within walking distance to Carowinds and we loved that. We left mid day and came back to check in then walked back to the park. It’s a very safe area and the hotel was super clean. Breakfast was also hit and delicious with many options to choose from. Grits would have been another nice option as well. Nice little “store” inside with chips, cookies and drinks. Desk clerks were very informative and professional with no playing around or saying ugly words as we’ve heard in the past with some. I’d definitely stay here again.

Great property. It’s secluded so you have to drive to restaurants or enjoy a longer walk. In season, it’s. wry close to a massive roller coaster park. Easy access (2minute) to IS77. Just a note for maintenance. Check out the ceiling in 209. May have been a minor leak above. And the tub spout is loose. The bar staff was a lovely young lady. Front desk folks were great too.

Clean. Spacious. Cose to the theme park. I liked that it had free breakfast and the night bar. The only down was the entrance is dark and spooky. Wemissedi twice and had to go around the theme park and back. The gps also throws you behind Cabela's which has an old blocked road

Perfect location if you’re going to Carowinds! It’s right next door to the theme park. Rooms are big and the beds are comfy. I like that the toilet is separate from the shower area, which makes getting ready easier for a family. Not much immediately bear the area as far as other entertainment or dining. Plenty of parking.

I had the greatest stay ever here! My family really enjoyed the hotel! And the breakfast was great! We stayed for the Scarowinds event, it was such a short walking distance to the park! Will definitely stay here again when we go back to Carowinds!

Stayed here for media night to cover opening night of WinterFest at Carowinds! This property was PERFECT for my husband and I to be so close to the park. After the evening at Carowinds, my husband and I really enjoyed chilling at the bar with our friend. Natalie was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The waffles at breakfast were AMAZING!! The sidewalk that took us straight to Carowinds was awesome. We were only 20 minutes away from SouthPark Mall. Everyone here was so friendly. I liked the layout of the room (with 2 separate sinks). Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Carowinds.

One night stay for our family of 5 as we travelled down from asheville to florida. I'd imagine the only reason for anyone staying here is visiting carowinds. For this it is ideal. Nice large room. Free parking and a 5 minute clearly marked walk to the entrance. Enjoyed a drink on the terrace before heading to bed. Only downside was the sub par breakfast which was very limited. Would stay again.

It was so clean and quiet . The breakfast was not good. But hotel was clean , quiet and fresh smelling. The have a firepit at night and a bar to purchase drinks. And theftont desk were extremely nice. Our flight got in early and we were able to go inside at 1pm instead of 4 pm. And carowinds is in walking distance .
