First, Dimitrios K. provided wonderful service to us and suggested different outings and restaurants to try. He arranged transportation pickups and dropoffs, and arranged last minute in-room facials and massages for my friend and I. The hotel was close to Fira shopping and restaurants. The views from the hotel were beautiful. Each of the suites have their own private balcony and hot tub. The only “con” of this stay was the temperature of the hot tub, could have been warmer, but that might be an American preference. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

It was a convenient location. Hot tub in the room was a tick. The town is walkable with lot of dining and shopping options. Limited parking space was an issue . No proper property signage on main road makes it hard to locate the property.

The room was nice, clean, and very spacious. I loved that each room had their own jacuzzi outside of the room. Staff was friendly, love that they offer to help book activities, massages and they also have transportation to and from airport. The area was quiet, walkable to the shopping area. Great food around the area. I highly recommend

This is a wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It does not have the Caldera vibe or sunset view but you get to watch the sunrise from your bedroom/ patio or even private Veranda (if you are lucky to get the pent house like we were). It is 10 min walk from Fira bus station with many nearby restaurants on the main road or Caldera. Each unit has its own private jet tub which luckily wasn’t very hot durning the heat of August. There is a small main pool to cool off but we didn’t use it.
This is a wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The location was quiet and just off a main road on the east side of Fira. The property and grounds are well kept. Our suite was large, very nice bathroom and shower. Bedroom and living room large also. Minibar area with sink, coffe maker, toaster, refrigerator. Bottled water and coffee replenished every day. Parking area is small and limited. Short walk to anywhere in town. Dimitris was wonderful, very helpful with, making reservations for us for sailing trip and restaurants. Suggestions for things to do and see.

We had a really good time at Altemar Suites. We rented an ATV and it was very nice that the hotel has an area for parking the vehicle. Right next to the hotel is also a really good restaurant called Tholoto. At Altemar Suites, housekeeping was amazing. The outdoor jacuzzi was great for relaxation at end of the day!

Overall a good stay. Good communication. Altemar Suites provides transport to and from airport/port for a fee. Spacious and comfortable. About 10 min walk to the city center. There is a pretty good restaurant, Tholoto right around the corner. Only con is that the hot tub isn't that hot. Only set to 33 degrees celsius and is not adjustable.

The Altemar suites is in a nice quiet part of Fira, off the main strip with a beautiful sunrise facing view off your balcony in the morning. The hot tub is not hot, the hot tub is warm. But otherwise everything else was fantastic. The concierge helped arrange excursions and they were all amazing experiences. Highly recommend.

I received an email the day of checkin at 1pm saying reception is closed at 5pm and I need to call the emergency number on the door and someone will accommodate us directly to our room. My booking receipt clearly states checkin is open til midnight. After a day of traveling from Canada, my flight arrives at 7pm so when we arrive at hotel I use my phone but the number doesn’t work because I don’t have a Greek SIM card. After 30 mins I am able to borrow a kind passerby’s phone and call. No one comes to help, I’m told to go to room101 and the key is there. Someone else is in 101 so my wife, son and I decide to check all the other rooms to find the open one. The suites are all over but we find it(30 mins more). When I explain the situation in morning to Dimitri, he says we give no apologies and explains the govt only lets him work 8hrs(so hire someone to cover it, right?) Another thing to note is the ‘hottub’ is only allowed to go to 33 degrees and they won’t raise it so don’t pay extra for it if you like hot tubs that are actually hot. And lastly, there were lots of small bugs all dead outside our entrance when we arrived and after the room was cleaned the next day, they were all still there so attention to cleanliness is almost as low on the priority list as customer service. When I asked Dmitri the next day if he had spoken to the owner about me, he replied “for what?” Come visit Santorini but don’t stay here.

Good place to stay right outside the noise of Fira. Only issue is bathroom sink was clogged. Host got a plumber right away to unclog it but next morning sink leaked water underneath. Plumber came back and fixed the leak. Could have used more than one coffee pod per person per day and some extra towels to wipe up the floor coming in from the outside hot tub as the time floors were very slippery.

We were a group of 3 and had a big room and big bathroom. Comfortable beds and modern bathroom. Excellent shower. We had 2 steps up to the bathroom, which wasn’t a problem but is worth asking about if that’s a concern (though Santorini is full of steps all around.) Each room has a small hot tub outside. Views of the ocean ( though not the side with caldera). AC works great, which is good bc Santorini was hotter than we expected. Temps in the 70’s felt more like 80s. Hotel is close to restaurants and shops and where the main action is in Fira. Dimitri at the front desk is very helpful and fun to talk with. I would stay here again.

GREAT hotel stay and experience! The suite was way more spacious than we pictured. It had a nice size bedroom with a connected living room (dining table with chairs couch with coffee table) and big bathroom. Housekeeping came every day and kept the whole place incredibly clean. The view was pretty nice especially at sunrise and the private hot tub on the private balcony was amazing. Its location in Fira is perfect - walking distance to Theotokopoulos main square, Firostefani square, the cable car (and steps) down to the old part, the starting point of the hike to Imerovigli/skaros rock/Oia, the three bells of Fira and the public bus station which can take you pretty much everywhere. But the best part of the hotel, by far, was the manager, Dimitrios. He always made himself available, was incredibly helpful and super personable. We enjoyed checking in with him every day just to talk about how our days were going. (Also as a side note, the bus is the cheapest option to get to the hotel from the airport but a bit of a trek if you’re first getting there and don’t know where you’re going. Next to that, booking the car service through Altemar Suites is a much cheaper option than any taxi you’d pre-book or find there.)

This is a great property that is in a great location in Thira, just on the very edge of the central shopping and restaurants so it is quiet but only a 5-minute walk to everything. The accommodations and views are great but the best part really is the manager, Dimitris, who helped us maximize our time in Santorini. He gave fantastic recommendations which never disappointed, made us reservations to impossible places to get into and guided us on where to catch the best sunset views away from the crowds, beaches, restaurants, etc. Thank you Dimitris! Our family also loved there was a cat, Lula, that belongs to a neighbor that comes by to visit and she is extremely friendly which the kids loved.

The hotel staff (Dimitris) welcomed us with a bottle of wine and great recommendations of things to do while on the island. He was very helpful and checked us into our incredible room with a great view from the hot tub. The hotel is walking distance to many shops and restaurants, perfect location. I would definitely stay here again.

Altemar was incredible. Dimitrios at the front desk was super helpful with anything we could ask for, and has great suggestions for things to do. The location is great, just out of the way of the super busy Fira streets, but close enough to where you can walk to see the sunset. Would definitely visit again.

Dimitrias greeted us with a friendly handshake and welcome immediately upon arrival. Rooms were very clean and well thought out - and exactly as depicted in advertisements. Dimitrias was always available to help and offer suggestions. We felt like we were staying with family. Was hands down the best service and stay we had since arriving in Europe. I would give more stars if I could. Highly Recommend!!

Dimitris met us when we arrived & let us check in at 9:30 am! The room was massive, very clean & comfortable. Dimitris helped us get a last minute island tour with an amazing tour guide (Ted). We only had 1day in Santorini, & the tour was a perfect way to see the highlights of the island. the hot tub, & view from our room were both great as well.

I received an email the day of checkin at 1pm saying reception is closed at 5pm and I need to call the emergency number on the door and someone will accommodate us directly to our room. My booking receipt clearly states checkin is open til midnight. After a day of traveling from Canada, my flight arrives at 7pm so when we arrive at hotel I use my phone but the number doesn’t work because I don’t have a Greek SIM card. After 30 mins I am able to borrow a kind passerby’s phone and call. No one comes to help, I’m told to go to room101 and the key is there. Someone else is in 101 so my wife, son and I decide to check all the other rooms to find the open one. The suites are all over but we find it(30 mins more). When I explain the situation in morning to Dimitri, he says we give no apologies and explains the govt only lets him work 8hrs(so hire someone to cover it, right?) Another thing to note is the ‘hottub’ is only allowed to go to 33 degrees and they won’t raise it so don’t pay extra for it if you like hot tubs that are actually hot. And lastly, there were lots of small bugs all dead outside our entrance when we arrived and after the room was cleaned the next day, they were all still there so attention to cleanliness is almost as low on the priority list as customer service. When I asked Dmitri the next day if he had spoken to the owner about me, he replied “for what?” Come visit Santorini but don’t stay here.

The property is conveniently situated within walking distance of all the renowned landmarks in Fira. The hotel manager, Dimitrios, is exceptionally amiable and accommodating. I almost felt like I had my own personal assistant throughout the stay. He provided assistance with directions, dining suggestions, and transportation recommendations, which was truly fantastic. Location was great because it was walkable to all the things but on the more quiet side of the island, we were able to get a driver to take us right to the hotel so we didn’t have to carry our luggage around the crowded streets, rooms were spacious and clean, showers excellent, views were great even though it was not the caldera view, staff was friendly and helpful

This was a sparkling clean, absolutely beautiful place to stay. It was a quick walk to Fira's center square and bus station, and even though Santorini is a pretty popular place, it felt like we found a quiet little corner away from the crowds. Absolutely the best place I've stayed in Fira.

The room was nice, clean, and very spacious. I loved that each room had their own jacuzzi outside of the room. Staff was friendly, love that they offer to help book activities, massages and they also have transportation to and from airport. The area was quiet, walkable to the shopping area. Great food around the area. I highly recommend

Excellent value for the money and centrally located in Fira, a 10 minute walk away from Santorini's main bus hub. Demitri is a lovely host and provided a fresh water bottle and Nespresso pod every day for us, and arranged a ride to the airport cheaper than the local taxis. We will stay here whenever we are back to Santorini!!

Excellent property lovely apartment with our own hot tub. In quiet location but 2 minute walk to the Main Street. East to catch connections to other towns. Also able to catch excursions from near by offices. Cleaned with fresh towels every morning, would def recommend

This is a wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It does not have the Caldera vibe or sunset view but you get to watch the sunrise from your bedroom/ patio or even private Veranda (if you are lucky to get the pent house like we were). It is 10 min walk from Fira bus station with many nearby restaurants on the main road or Caldera. Each unit has its own private jet tub which luckily wasn’t very hot durning the heat of August. There is a small main pool to cool off but we didn’t use it.

Beautiful view of the sea (not caldera), overlooking a blue-domed church. The individual jacuzzi outside was beautiful and shaded in the afternoon. The location is a little north of the center of Fira, so it was generally quieter and required some more walking.

I would definitely recommend staying at Altemar Suites. The receptionist is super thorough and friendly. Location is near everything in Fira but far enough to avoid the tourist congestion.

Lovely place at a convenient location - just a few minutes walk from the town centre with lots of shopping and dining options. Dimitri was an absolute star and recommended and booked some nice restaurants and memorable activities for us. It was wonderful!

La chambre est composé d’un jacuzzi, ce qui est très agréable. Si vous êtes en voiture, scooter, … il est possible de s’y garer. Rien à dire. Merci pour tout. Si vous le pouvez, allez manger dans les deux restaurants au dessus de l’hôtel. Un délice !

Only thing that could be better is temperature of hot tub, ours was luke warm at best and hotel said that’s as hot as it gets? Maybe in the heat of summer it would be good? We were there in late September and evenings and mornings were cool. All in all great place
