Richter Pass Beach Resort

This motel is right on the beach and the view is outstanding. We were delighted that our stay coincided with a free concert in the central area by a local classic rock band. We didn't have to leave the property that evening for a great night of entertainment!

Right on the beach. Great place for family with little kids. BBQ facility is handy. Decent condition for reasonable price. Nice staff. Recommendable!

The staff are very friendly. The front desk staff was very efficient and organized. They explained everything in detail and answered questions about the area. The location is wonderful with a private beach. The hotel even provides beach towels. The room was very comfortable. The bed was fantastic. There is very clear instructions on how to work the tv, air conditioning and the door lock. They use a code for the door which is perfect so you don’t need to carry a key or card to the beach. The hotel recycles everything which is another positive. The only downside to my stay was some of the guests were loud and partied very late. I would recommend this hotel for families or solo travellers.

Parking for rooms was not sufficient for the day, not enough spaces to park in front of our room

We booked one suite through expedia, which was very easy but the problem came during check-in. We called the motel reception 5-6 times, but they didn't pick up phone and no call back received. After many attempts got text message about check-in. Same thing happened during checkout. No front desk staff to help during checkout. Location is good just close to beach and the lake and the area is walkable.

Beware if you plan on booking this property it is very antiquated with minimal to no amenities. We were mislead by the 8 star rating given to this hotel. I am sure the pictures used in the review are at least 5 to 10 years old. The location is great and the room was clean but there were a variety of other issues that made this a less than enjoyable experiece. First and foremost there is no ice machine so if you want a cold beverage to enjoy while sitting on the beach you have to go buy ice. The only ice we could find was block which didn't work well for us. A simple fix for this would be to put a few complimentary bottles of water in the fridge to get us started until we were able to make some ice. The room also had no hairdryer. We didn't discover this until early the first morning and since the office doesn't open until 10 a.m.there was nobody to ask about it. Since we were out touring the area all day and the office closes at 5 we missed the opportunity to inquire about it. A simple sign in the room informing us that hair dryers were available upon request at the office would have saved us some aggravation. Other small things missing were kleenex and decaf coffee. Both of these could easily be provided with minimal expensive to the owners. Overall this hotel was not worth the money we paid for it.

Right on the beach, great room view. Right across street from a boardwalk. Kitchenette basic but is all you need. Couldn't see bathroom sink area bc bulb burnt out, but window in bathroom provided some light. After office hrs. check in was easy and owner texted wme instructions. Will stay again;)

Property in poor shape. Little assistance for problems. Coffee maker didn't come with compatible filters and made a mess but no coffee. TV did not work but manager showed a complicated work around. Office hours too limited. Location was amazing though.

Had a wonderful stay with my family. Definitely will be making this a yearly stay with them. So convenient to have multiple bbq's you can use, and an electric air pump for your lake floaties. See you next year!

Room and property is in rough condition. No ice machine on property. Patio to room was covered in spider webs and bird poop on railing. Bathroom is super tiny and almost no water pressure for the shower.

The room was dirty, the table was sticky, floor dirty, patio was very dirty. Lights were burnt out and the television did not work. The "resort" looked nothing like the photos.

Location was great, and nice walking paths along the lake.. It was clean inside but outside was untidy. Bed was comfortable, and kitchen had all the essentials and everything worked. The cupboards had dishes, cutlery, coffee pot, kettle, toaster and all the basic pots and pans that we needed for a meal. All in all for an older motel, it had been renovated and well looked after.

We got a lot of hair from the bed at time of check in. We think they’re not cleaning properly after check out the customers

Lake front was nice. Bird poop all over the stair and corner going up to second floor.

Great views. Not super clean. Parking was awful. Never a spot available, had to park on the road for the duration of my stay.

Although it is an old facility, it is well maintained and clean.

Their staffs are great! Very friendly and helpful. 2 growth areas: 1. There are quite a few spider nets on the balcony, if they could clean that up frequently it would have been great. 2. We visited this place both in 2024 and 2025, it could use some renovations - noticed the cupboards colors are coming off. Apart from these two areas, they are absolutely fantastic. Would love to visit them next year.

Lock on door was tricky

Great location. Unit had problems with outside door. No freezer in fridge. Could have used an extra chair, (only one was provided for two people).

I stayed in a room on the upper floor right at the stairway so my window faced a wall. There is only a light curtain on the window so the bright light outside in the walkway kept the room lit so it was difficult to sleep. There is also paint peeling on the ceiling in the bathroom. It’s clean enough but a bit run down. Location is good, right on the beach.

Unbelievable beach access. The rooms could use better lighting and new mattresses. Lots of potential just needs the right management and motivation.

The customer service was great, but it unfortunately stopped there and the worst hotel sleep I’ve ever experienced. The hotel walls are paper thin, the fluorescent light outside each room shone through the very thin curtains making it difficult to sleep. There was a wifi booster with a very bright light on it placed right beside the head of the bed with a warning of $300 fine if unplugged. The AC unit was so loud and clunky unable to sleep with it on. Overall would not recommended unless these don’t affect a good night sleep for you.

It was a great location and the room had the most beautiful view of the lake. We could sit on the balcony or enjoy the beachfront area. An easy walk to the shops along the lake through a park across the road. Osoyoos’ Main Street is a highway, though, and there is a lot of traffic including heavy trucks. We were on the lakeside so noise wasn’t a problem. The place is a bit tired but it was clean. The beds a bit creaky, but overall comfortable. The price was very reasonable but does reflect the age of the property. A great stop on our way to the Kootenays that offered a great location and views and didn’t break the bank.

Easy check in and clean but dated room. Bedroom did not have AC so that made it pretty warm at night. Also the blinds on the window were all broken so we had to put up a towel in order to not be seen from the parking lot out back as this was a partial lower, basement room.

We were told when we checked in that we had been upgraded to a better room and were delighted by the beautiful view from the balcony when we opened the room door. There was plenty of room in the bedroom with a small kitchenette and dining area inside as well as outside. The air conditioning cooled the room as it was very hot outside. The only things which were not so good was that the stove rings took a very long time to heat so cooking was quite difficult. The other thing we didn't like was the tiny wash hand basin area. When the bathroom door was opened the other person had to move away from the sink.

One of the staff members was extremely rude, especially when I asked for additional towels, treating me as if I was going to steal them. Additionally, the balcony door latch never worked, and the room had an unpleasant smell.

On arrival we were given the wrong code to our door but luckily they were there and gave us the correct code. Staff were very accommodating and cheerful. Rooms are old but kept very clean. Plenty of parking and steps to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and will come back here.

Booked the night before at an amazing rate, really not expecting much. Was met with super nice and accommodating owners. They made parking for my RV work, gave us a pet friendly room (without even asking, just noticing i had a dog) and the queen room had a pullout so whereas i planned to sleep in the RV, i got to sleep in the room with my son. Quick stay, much needed shower. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Room was ok. Not super clean. Manager was complaining about my kids being loud just after 7pm. We just arrived and telling me we should be considerate to other because shes living underneath us. When I booked the room the picture showed its in the bottom so that wasnt clear at all. Was not happy about it but I let it go. But the fact that manager was texting me and complaining that makes me upset. They are the one who assigned us the room, they know theres 2 small kids with us. They should know better. I dont think I will be back in this place. 2 months ago we stayed here and was happy. But the fact you have to clean the garbage and everything. Its not worth it to stay here. Cleaners looks annoyed when you asked something.

A good, clean, easy stop over on a long road trip. A very economical option. Lucked out with a beautiful lake view- thank you. Unfortunately, the online self-serve check in App did not work, so i had to wake the manager when we arrived (late) to gain access. She was very friendly and helpful, in spite of having been woken up by a tired and cranky customer. The rest of the stay was perfect.

Love the location and right on the water. Staff are always friendly. I know what I’m getting when I book here and have done so multiple times now with friends.

Nothing fancy, but was exactly what we needed. Easy to walk into town and to the local Bar. It was lovely sitting on the deck with the lake on either side, we would stay here again for sure!

Great location, organized friendly staff. Good Wi-Fi. Needs a little tlc but great value. Recommended breakfast at Ambrosia, a 4 min walk away, was great.

This place has the best location with the best beach. It's great. The staff are excellent as well. It's a motel, not a five star resort but otherwise it's great.
