The staff is terrific. This is one of the few properties with beach ocean access and if you dive they now have a newly opened dive shop, to take the place of the previous shop. Snorkeling all day. Great drinks and pool side snacks

I go to Cozumel 2-3 times per year and usually book through Expedia at various places. Totally befuddled by this one though. Expedia sells you breakfast at a dive resort where the restaurant opens at 8:00 and the dive boat leaves at 8:00. No bueno… Also, the restaurant closes at 4:00 in the afternoon so you need a taxi for dinner. They will only give you one bottle of drinking water. Front desk told me to take a taxi to the store if I wanted more. ??? Decent property, terrible service.

The property was in need of many repairs and the restaurant has no set hours. Posted online and in person are different times. It wasn't open at all the afternoon we landed, and we were directed to hotel b unique, next door. That hotel, both restaurants, staffing, amenities, and scenery blew us away, and that's where we'll be staying in our next visit. We did find the hot tub and the rooftop area, and it was out of commission. I wish i could post the pictures. The time have no deadbolt for the doors, and there's a 3" gap between the door and the floor. There's a 6" g drop from the room to the balcony. Everyone was really nice, though. Paying the spa took repeated transactions, as they "forgot" to include everything in the initial transaction.

The hotel itself is in very poor condition. The restaurants were never open in the afternoon and evening. There was no place to get a drink for sunset. Huge hotel and have nothing open for sunset. Staff was really nice especially Jesus

Great hotel! Ask for a fridge in your room they have a few extras they can put in there if they’re free. There is a coffee machine in room but you have to buy the coffee. It’s about a 20-30min easy walk to town or $100MXN taxi ride. The snorkeling off hotel is pretty good. The pool and beach area is lovely, lots of loungers and umbrellas. The dive shop on property is the best!! Great place to stay if you like quiet.

Really enjoyed the stay, my only issue was, and it maybe because it was end of season, the bar restaurant did not open and the pool bar restaurant closed by 5pm meaning heading elsewhere for dinner every night.

Our favorite thing about this property is the snorkeling right offshore! Great fish and eels, and so convenient. (For comparison, the second half of our trip we went to a hotel down the island that is a "dive resort", and the snorkeling was terrible!) Also really liked that this hotel was about 30 minute safe and easy walk into town, or 75 peso/5 minute cab ride (always ask how much the charge is, they will try to rip you off; also always have pesos, because they will convert it in into a much higher rate in US dollars). Cons were that the hotel breakfast was pricey ($15 for full buffet, $7 for continental breakfast buffet with fruit and bread), and the restaurant was not usually open for lunch/dinner, nor was the bar open at night. There was a pool side bar open throughout the day though. Overall nice relaxing convenient place to stay, and awesome snorkeling!

Been staying here for 20 years, and unfortunately this will be my last. We had multiple issues during our stay that were maintenance related ... namely, an AC unit that wouldn't cool, and then the same unit that wouldn't shut off. Condition of furniture is degraded. Issues with the safe. Shower that is an odd design where the water pools up (not clogged, but just the design). TV remote randomly stops working (and terrible picture, not watchable). AC controls randomly stop working. Screen door pops right off when using. Internet access stops working randomly (had to sign in probably > 100 times). The staff is A+, and the facility location on the water is A+. You can snorkel and see a variety of tropical fish, rays, and much more right in front of the hotel. Very clean. But it just needs updating, period. If this hotel does a remodel and gets the rooms updated with new AC, new showers, new Wifi, new TVs, ,etc., then I absolutely would not hesitate to return. But until then, unfortunately I will be staying at other properties that are similar in price but have much nicer rooms. I truly wish the hotel staff the best of luck and hope the owners can invest and turn this ship around.

The property was very clean and quiet. Our room cleaner was amazing - she was excellent. I feel that the restaurant options could be beefed up and have something opened later - a bar with maybe bar food. Also have a souvenir shop to buy some trinkets or more of a variety of snacks. This place is great for adults, but not kid friendly. We will be back.

I went only for one night for a business dinner, i arrived around 8pm with my colleague to get ready for dinner and went out pretty quick, everything seemed OK until that moment except for the shower that clogged inmideatley as soon as I opened it, after dinner we came back around 1130,pm and got ready for bed i discovered the inside of my supposedly clean bed dirty, the sheets of the bed were used they were crumbles, sand hairs, and dirt and both of the beds had the same problem, . I went down to the reception but it was nobody that were able to help me change to a clean room, the security guy was able to pull out a couple of cleen sheets so i were able to do my own bed at midnight.... and i got freaked out when i realized that there was a comunication door with the room next door that was open and not able to close.... next morning the neighbors door opens and a bunch of little kids screaming at 6 am they want to go to the pool as soon as possible... making noise and running in the ailes was not my favorite thing to wake up for this. View is amazing but i was there just for a night that went really wrong, i went down to do the check out and the guy in the reception was already with an attitude, i was trying to explain my situation andthe guy ssarcastically answered that they were going to get the cleaning lady fired and i told him that that's not the solution because the problem is not her but the wrong supervisor that do not check and that having communication doors thatdon'tcloseandnothavinganyreceptionistduringthenightforhelpwasdisappointing

Dining room was not open evenings. Very inconvenient. There was no beach to walk on. Too rocky & caters to divers rather than bathers. False photos of a beach were shown instead of a real one. Room was not clean under beds. Microwave & fridge should be provided in all rooms. There are always left overs that shouldn't be eaten cold or stale. Drinks need to be cold. Restaurant had short hours. Should be open till 11. Bar wasn't open all week. Should be open all week. People enjoy drinking & dancing. When bar was open it should not close at 10 but stay open till 2 at least. Front desk should never close. Most are open 24 hours for emergency. 10 is ridiculous time. Hard to get a taxi many times. There is no Uber which causes less availabilities. Front desk should have more service for exchanging money. It is not always possible to get to a bank. Spa staff doesn't speak much English & should. Extremely expensive services as well. Some security didn’t speak any English & at night it was inconvenient.

Great view from balcony. Inexpensive taxis to town, and airport. Good snorkeling right from the hotel. Warm Ocean to swim and snorkel in. Nice warm pool to spend time in. Decent exchange rate for cash, right at the front desk. Enough lounge chairs and umbrellas to be comfortable right at the hotel's ocean front. Friendly service from hotel staff. Easy to watch Sunsets right from the room, or the top floor viewing area.

No dinner restaurant on property and basic for the price. AC smelled moldy. Was a slightly dated hotel but just not worth the price in my opinion. Also a lot of banging at all hours which we could never identify. Sounded like large doors being slammed. Happened every night and morning. Food for breakfast and poolside was not very good.

The place is ok, it's just very outdated... the balcony had a big crack in it almost makes you wonder if it will hold. The room itself was OK just super old and outdated, the safe was from the 1900's... The biggest issue was the bathroom. Our bathroom was constantly clogged and refused to flush, we had to ask for maintenance 4 times because it refused to flush. The shower wasn't sealed well either so when you take a shower the water would leak into the rest of the bathroom and we'd have to wear flip flops at all times otherwise our feet or socks would always be wet. If you plan to stay here make sure to have a car because it is a far bike ride or even farther walk from the actual town and restaurants.

Been staying here for 20 years, and unfortunately this will be my last. We had multiple issues during our stay that were maintenance related ... namely, an AC unit that wouldn't cool, and then the same unit that wouldn't shut off. Condition of furniture is degraded. Issues with the safe. Shower that is an odd design where the water pools up (not clogged, but just the design). TV remote randomly stops working (and terrible picture, not watchable). AC controls randomly stop working. Screen door pops right off when using. Internet access stops working randomly (had to sign in probably > 100 times). The staff is A+, and the facility location on the water is A+. You can snorkel and see a variety of tropical fish, rays, and much more right in front of the hotel. Very clean. But it just needs updating, period. If this hotel does a remodel and gets the rooms updated with new AC, new showers, new Wifi, new TVs, ,etc., then I absolutely would not hesitate to return. But until then, unfortunately I will be staying at other properties that are similar in price but have much nicer rooms. I truly wish the hotel staff the best of luck and hope the owners can invest and turn this ship around.

Great hotel! Ask for a fridge in your room they have a few extras they can put in there if they’re free. There is a coffee machine in room but you have to buy the coffee. It’s about a 20-30min easy walk to town or $100MXN taxi ride. The snorkeling off hotel is pretty good. The pool and beach area is lovely, lots of loungers and umbrellas. The dive shop on property is the best!! Great place to stay if you like quiet.

The hotel is very outdated. The photos do not reflect reality. The room had a bad smell, was old, small, and unpleasant. The staff is nice, but this is a very, very basic hotel. Even though we had already paid and the reservation was non-refundable, we decided to leave the hotel and pay again for another hotel because it was impossible to stay there.

We had a wonderful stay at the Coral Princess! The entire staff was warm, friendly, and very accommodating. Although the resort was undergoing some construction during our visit, everything was still clean, quiet, and comfortable. The water was absolutely perfect—crystal clear and ideal for snorkeling right off the dock. We also went scuba diving with Island Divers Cozumel, located conveniently on-site, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our dive instructor, Joel, was phenomenal—an excellent teacher who made us feel confident and safe the entire time. We can’t wait to book our next adventure and would absolutely stay here again!

I go to Cozumel 2-3 times per year and usually book through Expedia at various places. Totally befuddled by this one though. Expedia sells you breakfast at a dive resort where the restaurant opens at 8:00 and the dive boat leaves at 8:00. No bueno… Also, the restaurant closes at 4:00 in the afternoon so you need a taxi for dinner. They will only give you one bottle of drinking water. Front desk told me to take a taxi to the store if I wanted more. ??? Decent property, terrible service.

We understand that because we had booked a non-refundable stay, that we couldn’t get a refund; but the hotel would not even let us push the dates out when my husband got sick. We gave them plenty of notice. Surprising that they would treat a return guest that way.

I think the reviews here are unfair. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel is reasonably priced and as such one shouldn’t expect an all inclusive resort experience. The dive staff are amazing, and led spectacular dives. Thank you everyone for a wonderful 5 days.

I went only for one night for a business dinner, i arrived around 8pm with my colleague to get ready for dinner and went out pretty quick, everything seemed OK until that moment except for the shower that clogged inmideatley as soon as I opened it, after dinner we came back around 1130,pm and got ready for bed i discovered the inside of my supposedly clean bed dirty, the sheets of the bed were used they were crumbles, sand hairs, and dirt and both of the beds had the same problem, . I went down to the reception but it was nobody that were able to help me change to a clean room, the security guy was able to pull out a couple of cleen sheets so i were able to do my own bed at midnight.... and i got freaked out when i realized that there was a comunication door with the room next door that was open and not able to close.... next morning the neighbors door opens and a bunch of little kids screaming at 6 am they want to go to the pool as soon as possible... making noise and running in the ailes was not my favorite thing to wake up for this. View is amazing but i was there just for a night that went really wrong, i went down to do the check out and the guy in the reception was already with an attitude, i was trying to explain my situation andthe guy ssarcastically answered that they were going to get the cleaning lady fired and i told him that that's not the solution because the problem is not her but the wrong supervisor that do not check and that having communication doors thatdon'tcloseandnothavinganyreceptionistduringthenightforhelpwasdisappointing

My 10-day stay at this resort was amazing. The property was well maintained. They provided daily bottled water at no additional charge. The property sits right on the water with amazing views. The staff were friendly and helpful the entire time. I interacted with no less than 12 different staff members and they were all great! The only reason I omitted 1 star from service is that the resort does not offer dinner. A few days there was heavy downpour and high winds making a trip to town unadvisable, the ability to have dinner on site those days would've been great. Otherwise the food was top-tier. Just a short 30-minute walk to town with clean, safe, and scenic walk ways. Highly recommend staying at this resort!

The rooms need to be updated. Once you’re inside your room it doesn’t feel like a four star hotel anymore. There is only one restaurant near by. There are several hotels in the area but there are no restaurants, coffee shops, bars, convenient stores, etc. This location is isolated and you need a taxi or a rental car for everything.

No dinner restaurant on property and basic for the price. AC smelled moldy. Was a slightly dated hotel but just not worth the price in my opinion. Also a lot of banging at all hours which we could never identify. Sounded like large doors being slammed. Happened every night and morning. Food for breakfast and poolside was not very good.

Beautiful beachfront with great snorkeling, pool, great people. Take a taxi there from the boat or airport. Restaurant open for breakfast and lunch til 5 great food. Drinks around the swim up pool. Our room did not have a microwave or refrigerator but did have a great ocean view and a/c. Will definitely stay again for longer.

Really enjoyed the stay, my only issue was, and it maybe because it was end of season, the bar restaurant did not open and the pool bar restaurant closed by 5pm meaning heading elsewhere for dinner every night.

Our favorite thing about this property is the snorkeling right offshore! Great fish and eels, and so convenient. (For comparison, the second half of our trip we went to a hotel down the island that is a "dive resort", and the snorkeling was terrible!) Also really liked that this hotel was about 30 minute safe and easy walk into town, or 75 peso/5 minute cab ride (always ask how much the charge is, they will try to rip you off; also always have pesos, because they will convert it in into a much higher rate in US dollars). Cons were that the hotel breakfast was pricey ($15 for full buffet, $7 for continental breakfast buffet with fruit and bread), and the restaurant was not usually open for lunch/dinner, nor was the bar open at night. There was a pool side bar open throughout the day though. Overall nice relaxing convenient place to stay, and awesome snorkeling!
