Sleep Inn - Salisbury I-85

People were outside playing loud music up until about 1:30 AM making it very difficult for my husband and I to sleep. It was pretty clean and decent. Pool was closed though

It's a really good location and the staff was very nice but the property showed it's age heavily. We had to request a different room since the first rooms bath had a leaky faucet. The hallways were dark and everything smelled like weed and cigarettes. But the staff was trying with what they got

AC unit and drapes were caked in dust. Large gaps in pipes in bathroom. Drunk folks at sitting/smoking area.

The property was nice no major complaints. I will say the grounds around the hotel leading to restaurants and stores is not conducive to walking. Otherwise, decent place and I appreciated the continental breakfast.

The hotel seems to be renovating, which is good. Our room #252 was recently renovated. It was good except for the AC vents were COATED in construction dirt and grime, as well as the vents in the ceiling of bathroom. The tub was painted, which is not a problem, but the tub faucet was not stationary…it moved a lot. The shower head was low, so anyone taller than 5’4” (my height) would have to crouch down. My husband is 6’4”, so it was difficult. The bathroom door had a very noticeable patch for a big hole. Again, not a real issue for our stay, it just looks bad. The floors were vinyl and that was perfect. The beds were comfy, alto a tad high. I literally had to climb into it. But they were nice! The bedding was great too. No noise to speak off either, even tho it was near a highway. It was comfortable and would stay here again. The price was good.

Great stay, coffee wasn’t good and not enough parking

The facility was absolutely horrible. The term “Smoke-Free” obviously is misleading. The carpeting in our building was torn out and there were doors off their hinges and stack against the wall. Informed the front desk manager that the obvious smoke odor was going to work for us as my wife has lung issues his reply was “OK, you can check out”. He said that there are no refunds. We it wasn’t easy but we did finally get a refund from Expedia. Simply put….Stay Away. Sleep in your car!

The room we had offered no bathroom door..it was noisy smell of weed garabage all on grounds broken dangerous pinic area for smokers ice machine threw ice all over floor ..bed was super comfy room was small but cute

Very clean and the staff was great, but the pool had not been inspected yet so it was closed and that was why we had chosen that hotel

Room filthy when checked in. Had bottom floor room. Took half hour to get new room on 2nd floor and no elevator.

Staff were very friendly upon checking in. We were assigned 223, in the second building. As soon as we walked in, it smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and perfume like someone tried to mask the odor. Our non-smoking room itself smelled clean. While the bed was comfortable and clean, mostly everything else was not clean. The brown/gray bedspring cover had white stains, the shower floor was disgusting, the bottom of toilet wasn’t cleaned, the coffee/microwave station was covered in dust, but the most disappointing aspect was the bath linens, they were stained and looked very filthy. The hardwood floors clearly had not been swept/vacuumed. There was a very wide gap under the door that allowed light, odors, and noise in. We awoke in the middle of the night to the smell of cigarette smoke. It smelled like someone was smoking inside of the room. When our neighbors turned their water on, it made a terrible high pitched noise. We didn’t sleep well at all. Since we arrived late, around 11pm, we didn’t contact the front desk, we were exhausted from our ride and just wanted to sleep. Because everything was just so disgusting, we decided to skip the breakfast and leave early so no opinion on that. Overall just a very disappointing stay. We’re not very picky people and don’t have high expectations but we won’t be staying here again. And we definitely do NOT recommend it.

I was eaten alive by bed bugs. Left early and tired.

The rooms and sheet were not clean. The staff did not have replacements. Cleaning is a bare minimum, and they didn’t even do that. This place is so gross is pathetic. Absolutely vile. Good ok the ground. Hair and other crumbs in the beds. Staff is an embarrassment. They shouldn’t be in customer service. They did not understand human interaction.

There were roaches in my room.

I did totally like the step in shower! My bed was comfortable, the HVAC worked well. Cigarette smoke was/is very heavy. One reason I booked this place was "Smoke Free Campus". Lungs, eyes and nose irritated. I got charged a different rate than what I booked for. Sent an email to Cindy Dixon, Manager upon check in for resolution and haven't received any response to date. Worse, very worse thing? My towels, washcloths and hand towels were not only stained but actually streaked with dirt. The team member who checked me in wasn't professional AT ALL; pleasant but looked and sounded like she was in recovery. With that in mind, and not having heard from the manager, I did not call the front desk. The outside parking spaces were covered with ice as were the stairs and ramp to my building. I remarked upon it to the front desk person who checked me in. "Yeah, it's all over." That was it. Sunday morning they started salting the property but when I arrived this evening, the stairs and parking area were still icy.

This was an overnight stop for us. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice. Glad we stayed here.

The bed was so horrible I couldn't get to sleep the first night. They have them so high up off the floor that you basically have to jump up on them. They also don't rotate their mattresses so the mattress was all sagging on one side and it felt like I was going to roll out of the bed. So I finally managed to tuck myself up in the corner so I wouldn't be rolling off the bed. Also it's so close to the interstate and the walls apparently are so thin you can hear all the cars. The walls are so thin that my brother in the next room heard me asked my sister about her glasses. He shouldn't have been able to hear my conversation in the next room.

Too many doors slamming in the middle of the night.

The only issue I have with the property is the shower fan lights not having covers. This is a pretty big safety hazard for getting shocked. Otherwise it's clean, bed is comfortable and quiet.

We paid $85 and it wasn’t a good experience even though just for 1 night stay, soon we opened the door, it had pretty strong musty smell and it was like that at all time we stayed. The air conditioner hum all night, the exhausted fan in the bathroom was noisy. I had to find the extension cord that was fallen behind the table to plug in the microwave. Not only the noise from the hotel location that is next to the highway, but also at 2-3 am people still walking, running in the hallway, open-close their door loudly and many times. I know this part is uncontrollable but it surely caused us sleepless. For us, the bed & pillows were too soft. The room was clean, staff was okay, breakfast was good but we won’t return to stay here again.

The bathroom door was a sliding door instead of a regular door, and it was hard to slide. The handicap bars on the toilet were situated where it was hard to get off the toilet. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and not so high that it was hard to get into. Breakfast gave quite a few choices that was nice. We did have trouble both nights we were there with someone trying to get into our room because they got our room confused with theirs, but our room was secure and they weren't able to get in.

Plumbing bad. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Water in sink drained very slow. Overall feeling was needed updating. Couldn’t close bathroom door.

What I liked was the price for 2 Adults and 2 Kids.... What I didnt like - The place was clean, but old- The sink was clogged, bathroom way to small for 4 people. Room was small as well. Breakfast was very limited.

Went and gave 200 in cash for a deposite which i had no problem with. But when i asked about getting my money back before 6am i was told yes by the lady i can... due to me having to go to work. But when i got to the front desk in the moring i got a lazy man rude as can be still sitting and said no and pointed to the sign. No good morning no nothing. Just arms cross mean mug and being lazy. Never again will i be going here. Toilet was making a noise the whole time to. The tub paint was pealed off.

Ordered room online as I've done many times before. Get to the establishment and check in, everything is great until the guy tells me I have to leave a $100 deposit in cash which I'll get back at checkout in the morning. An inconvenience but ok. I ask are you sure I will get my cash back at checkout and he said I would. Ok fast forward to 6:30am the next day I go to the front desk to checkout and retrieve my deposit. The new desk clerk tells me he can't return my deposit until after 9am (because the maid has to check the room) and I politely told him I'm leaving town now so that won't be possible. I asked if there was any other way for me to get my deposit returned and he say no. I asked if he could check my room which was right down the hall from reception and he said no. I asked if I could speak to someone over him and he said there wasn't anyone. Now in my experience, hotels usually have an 1-800 number for customer complaints but he offered no number or solution to rectify my problem. To me he came off a little bit racist due to his demeanor towards me but I can't say for sure, however I can say I will no longer book this hotel due to this experience ...

Required to pay for room when checking in. Was charged twice for the stay causing my checking account to be overdrawn. Money has not been refunded. Will not stay at this hotel again.

After a long day of traveling we arrived late at night. When I booked with expedia I paid in full for two rooms and added protection to avoid any other expenses. The front desk ask for a credit card once we checked in. I had no working card as my bank flagged it for using it out of state and the desk attendant said we would not be able to get our rooms even after explaing there was no ideati. Luckily after 40 minutes of trying to call my credit card company and searching the car we found cash in one our bags, the desk attendant then told us that since we were paying in cash that we would have to wait for house keeping in the morning

Tony at the front desk was extremely rude to us. Customer service means taking care of the customer not shouting and being an ass. If you stay here, watch out for Tony. He is very impatient.

Was charged $100 for security deposit and 14 days later I needed to call the bank and dispute. Not worth my time. I will be back in Salisbury, but NEVER stay there again.

The staff was wonderful, the hotel itself was beautiful,. the problem is the I85 traffic. I could not sleep at all. I think if you invest in some noise cancelling windows it could cut down on the outside noise from the traffic flow. I would have stayed longer but the traffic kept me up.

Area was a lil sketchy

We needed a place to stay for the night because we had to be to the airport by 9 am. This was close and priced right.

It’s a step above red roof inn or other properties where in this case the entrance to your room is inside the building. room was OK. It was clean, though top latch was missing a piece and you had to flush toilet twice. hot breakfast was pretty decent, bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage and waffle makers. located close to 85, but wouldn’t stay there again.

My husband and I stayed here for the reason they said they had a Pool. The Booking Site didn't say it was an outside pool. So we were disappointed. The Breakfast was slim. Flat Eggs, No Meats of any kind, coffee was Gross. As soon as we walked in the Hallway to our Room we smelled a Strong Amount of Weed and this was a No Smoking on Property Hotel. Told Front Desk and he said he would let someone know but the smell was still there. The Bed was Hard. Our View was a Brick wall of Hotel behind us. The Parking was Very Small and Tight and we had Construction Vehicles blocking us in. There was a Food Truck parked in a One Way parking lot. We were not greeted when I walked in to check in. We will Not stay here again.
