Resort Haven

I was hoping for a great stay, realised when we arrived we have stayed there before - a few years ago and it was pretty average back then but we were hoping to see some great changes. If I realised it was the same villa I would not have booked.On entry the villa still had the same bad smell and as we looked around you could see why. Place really lacked a thorough clean and attention. Dirty, smelly dishes in oven. Dirty grease filled bbq. Every window frame was dirty/mouldy, couch is grotty (I had to put covers on it), place not dusted - top of fridge and cupboards covered in thick hard to clean dust. Stained doona provided for the master room. Really disappointing.They did send a cleaner through again when I contacted them about the state of the villa but again the cleaner did a pretty poor job. It was a much needed break so we just tried to make the most of everything else. They did clean the oven, bbq and provided a cover for the doona but they only cleaned one window frame and did nothing about anything else.I had hoped it would have gotten better because the facilities are great but the villa is a real let down.We had friends staying in another villa own by someone else at the same time and the difference between our villas was night and day. I was so embarrassed of ours!

We had an amazing stay! The house is spacious, well laid out and felt private despite being in a resort. Great facilities to keep us entertained and the restaurant/cafe was so handy with great food options. Property owner was very helpful with great communication. Would stay again.

Safety was a bit

There were maggots on the floor.

Our 3-bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. There are fantastic facilities onsite, and as we had fanily from overseas with us, the Ramada Resort was in a great location close to Cowes and the Fairy Penguin attraction. We also visited the wildlife park just across the road, and our guests LOVED it. There were a couple of things that let us down, the main one being the buffet breakfast. We arrived towards the end of the dining time, and had to ask for plates, cutlery, and even if more food would be coming out, as all the trays were empty. It was a well priced breakfast....but not if there's nothing to eat. A few items were topped up, onky fir guests who had already eaten to stack their plates high and a few in our group missed out again. Staff were very busy (and friendly) and I felt that we were hassling them and so just managed to eat a few items that were topped up. Would highly suggest going when the breakfast opens so you have some choice of what to eat.
