The Inn at Charles Town / Hollywood Casino

The staff at the desk all very helpful. Room very clean, and comfortable. Very nice stay however, they shouldn’t advertise free WiFi, and complimentary breakfast daily and then charge a $10 a night amenity fee.

Property is just ok. For a property that’s this close and almost a partner of the casino, it should definitely be updated. Sad that the bar is closed with such a nice lobby. Best thing about this place is the shuttle to the casino.

The hotel was okay. The check-in was a bit rough. The desk person was having a bad day. She later apologized. There is a Sheetz, a convenience store, with hot food right next door. This hotel did not have a bar. We came back from a concert, expecting to sit and have a few cocktails, the bar was closed. They said they were looking to outsource it to another company. So, I would call before you stay if this is important to you. They offered alcohol for purchase behind the front desk. The breakfast is not a hot breakfast. It was oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, bagels, danish, etc. If you’re looking for a hot breakfast, you’re out of luck. They charge a $10 per day “amenities fee” for this breakfast and the use of the fitness center. My husband and I bought take-out food from a local place to eat in our room. The restaurant did not give us utensils. The hotel did not have any plastic forks. And the staff is not willing to accommodate anything. They simply were not very helpful. As long as we kept to ourselves in our room, it wasn’t bad. The location is very close to the casino. There is also a shuttle available. The casino is in the same vicinity as the Inn. If you are looking for a place to lay your head, the Inn is fine. If you’re looking for better accommodations, it is not. There is no room service, nor is there housekeeping. We had food containers and water bottles overflowing the 2 trash cans that are in the room.

My husband and I checked into this very nice hotel. Upon checking in, we realized we were assigned a room that was directly beside where demolition was taking place just outside our hotel room. When we asked for another room, we were advised the only room available was on the first floor. We were also advised that we needed to pay a $10.00 room amenity fee. I asked what this fee covered: morning breakfast, bottled water in our room and the shuttle service to the casino. We didn’t need the shuttle service for the casino, and the Grab N Go continental breakfast was lack luster to say the least. Our room was very nice and clean.

LIKED THE 15 MINUTES BUS SERVICE TO THE FRONT DOOR OF THE CASINO AND DIDN'T HAVE TO DRIVE AND USE THE PARKING LOTS. THANK YOU!

No bar, no cooked food in rest ur aunt

The shuttle bus to and from the Casino was very helpful and timely. The room and bathroom were well appointed but lacking in a few minor details. The breakfast was OK but not great. The bar in the Lobby was not in use during my Friday night stay. I was charged an unexpected $10 fee and $100 damage deposit (that was refunded). I don't like unexpected charges like this - and certainly did not understand their necessity before booking. This was a one-night stay for a conference the next day, and I could saved money while enjoying a comparable stay at another nearby hotel. The convenience of staying at the hotel where the conference took place was worth the difference, but not by much.

Very clean which is what I really care about. Also it was quiet. I plan to stay here again. I like how to an easily walk to sheets. We never went to the casino, but would like to one day. Both of the ladies who ran the continental breakfast were so nice and helpful.

I have stayed here several times over several years. The only positive about this property now is its proximity to the racetrack. Everything appears to be less now, for example, less clean bathrooms with mold and mildew in the shower and several burned out light bulbs in the bedroom. I will not stay here again.

the staff was friendly, and the room was nice, however, the entire hotel smells strongly of cleaner (likely to mask the smoke smell, BUT its a casino hotel, smoke is to be expected) the real issue was the cleanliness of the room was sub-par. the shower had mold/mildew in the edges and grout, and there was remnants of food from the prev. occupant under the bed (just at the edge of the bed visible from standing next to it.)

We booked a non smoking room but it smelled like smoke hard to sleep

The room was clean but no cleaning or fresh towels until you check out. We had to ask for clean towels at the front desk. You don’t have to clean my room every night but please leave fresh towels!! Breakfast was strictly continental.

I had a issue with the cleanliness of the shower. I addressed it in the morning at checkout with no resolution

We stayed for 4 nights & did not receive a room cleaning - even after we requested the room be cleaned. We took out our own garbage, asked for fresh towels & did not complain that they couldn’t schedule us for a room cleaning. We enjoyed our “track view” so we could watch the horses working out each morning & it’s a quick drive to the track for watching the races.

Our room was dirty, stains on the sheets , candy wrappers and food under the bed. Floor wasn’t vacuumed very well, could see water spots all over the surfaces. Not very happy for a $300 room

Having the trackside room is great. Looks right over the backside of the track. Quick shuttle ride over to the casino and track.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very nice people! Continental breakfast was good and plentiful. There was a $10/day fee that wasn't disclosed anywhere! The staff allowed homeless people to come in and take items from the breakfast room!! Our 1st room had a non working refrigerator. We moved rooms and the lampshades were dirty and broken and the curtain didn't close completely or correctly. For $150/night, this is unacceptable.

The bed in our room was not comfortable. When you layed in the bed there was a hump in the middle and we both were slanted on each side. We mentioned it to the front desk, but they said because we booked through expedia there was nothing they could do about it. Didn't sleep well because we felt like we were falling off the bed on each side. Not comfortable

The bed was like sleeping on a concrete floor. I complained to my front desk and they said I had to go through you . So I am recreating a refund

No microwaves in rooms... Big inconvenience

One of the best Beds I have ever encountered in a Hotel Stay.....5 Stars.....My only complaint?.....The Continental Breakfast could have included either Sausage or Bacon (and maybe potatoes) with the Boiled Eggs.....Kick that Breakfast up a notch and this is a Destination Location!

Outdated but clean and friendly staff. No problems checking in and out.

First off, we had to wait past 4 pm for our second room we reserved months ago. Then both the fitted sheet and the duvet cover were stained. Stained linens should be retired. The complimentary breakfast was subpar. Worst hotel breakfast I’ve EVER had! My one and only compliment… Our rooms overlooked the horse track and we watched the horses be exercised when we woke up! That was great!

I was not happy when got there at 330 There was at least 20 people there trying to check in the lady at desk said check in was 400 everyone could check in then. The next day people were allowed to check in at 200. The water in shower was so bad that you had to stand under shower head to get wet. I'll stay somewhere else next time.

There is a whole lot to like about the hotel, but a special shout out to Brooke at the front desk. She is a sweetheart and makes everyone feel welcome with her smile and kindness to all guests.

We were very happy from the moment we arrived till we left. Monique greeted us and checked us in. Very big smile, very pleasant. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Willie the bus driver was very friendly to all that entered his bus to the casino and back. Food in the dining room was adequate. I had a nice chat with Chuck at the front desk on departure. All in all, a great experience. We will be back and tell others.

From the get go, it was a pretty terrible experience.The front desk very unfriendly, very unhelpful. We were made to feel as a source of annoyance. Fast forward to the room with a wonderful view of the air conditioner unit outside the window. Surprise we didn't get charged extra for that. Considering they had four cars in the parking lot, they probably had a nicer room that they could have given us. The breakfast a very limited it had bagels which were stale. Not much else. We would never ever stay there again.

Check in wasn't all that good. Check in at 3, the first clerk said rooms are not ready til 4. I understand that. Went back at 3:50 ask 2 clerk was rooms ready. She ask for ID and then she put my ID and keys in my face. That didn;t go well at all. She didn't tell me about breakfast, the hours,where it was located. She said nothing except make a right and the room is down there. Check out wasn't any better. I have stayed here many times and always had grat service til now. Don't like dealing with the public get a different job

Night staff was very unfriendly. He could not explain why my card was charged twice for the security deposit and treated me disrespectfully when I questioned and behaved as if there was something wrong with my card. This guy with dark glasses could do better if he put a smile on his face when people come in.

The hotel staff was very accommodating to all our needs..the place was very clean..the staff very friendly..and I liked that they offered shuttle service back and forth from the casino..

the check in process can be very slow with long lines of people waiting due to the new 4:00 pm check in when everyone now arrives at the same time. Can you change check in to 1:00 or 2:00 pm because 4:00 is late to check in and why charge that extra $40 for early check in Ive never heard of that before in other hotels.

This was our first time to Charles Town and the Hollywood Casino. Hotel was very nice and convenient. Would stay here again

It is convenient to the casino and racetrack. The continental breakfast was average at best. For a tremendous breakfast try the Charlestown Family Diner across the street from this property.

This hotel is next to the casino with a shuttle( the nicest drivers anywhere) and it was nothing short of a great experience!! The beds are super comfortable and the hotel is very clean! If you stay on trackside you can watch the horses work in the morning...maybe next time.

For the amount of money this hotel cost, thought it would be in nicer condition. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, the door would scrape the floor, preventing it from closing. Employees were very nice and the convenience of the shuttle to the casino was good.

Easy to get to, close to casino. Dining options nearby. Staff is friendly, especially the ladies that handle breakfast.

A very nice hotel, nice casino. I was surprised that there’s nothing else there. There are no restaurants except in the casino and most of them were closed. No shopping are stores? A nice hotel and casino, Nothing else!

Very quiet. Free shuttle to casino ran frequently. Very limited free breakfast- no hot food. Bagels, muffins, hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruit and yogurt. But that’s enough to fill you up. Would stay again if we were in that area.

Stayed here for two nights in mid september. Check in and out was quick and easy with friendly staff. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast had a good selection and the coffee was lovely. Area was clean and well stocked over the breakfast time. Would recommend this hotel
