I LOVED my stay. I took my daughter for a quick over night stay, and was blown away. We were steps away from the ocean, we got to swim, read on the beach, search for shells during the day. We had a snack at the Little Pub that afternoon and it was delicious. I love how the outside bar is facing the water, you really feel like you’re on vacation. At night we went next door for seafood, and it was wonderful (Reilys). That evening we took a bike ride (bikes provided) and went for homemade ice cream at the local market, then went sight seeing up the sea wall. The next morning we walked across the street and had the most amazing coffee from the coffee cart while swinging and looking at the ocean. I left so relaxed and really enjoyed the room. I look forward to returning and making this a tradition.

Lovely spot. The rooms have a hip but comfy feel. Right on the ocean (Sound). Decent little gym and free coffee bar. Some negatives: Coffee bar has only dairy (boo and welcome to 2023). Bath tub did not work. And the set up is wonky where you can only turn on shower and get wet, due to unmovable glass wall. Little problems. We will go back next time we see a concert in Bridgeport

Cool place on the beach! Loved the decor and or room. Beds were comfortable and the coffee bar was awesome complete it’s own beach balcony. We were only there for one night so can’t say about the restaurant, but it looked like a nice place to eat.

To say this is a hidden gem is an under statement! It was a wonderful seaside getaway with lots of little detail including nautical decor, a coffee room, gym, old fashioned bikes with a beautiful landscape to ride, and wonderful, friendly people - not to mention little pub right next door. I can’t wait to return!

My wife and i had stayed here in the past before it became The Surfside. It was a nice place to stay but the hotel itself needed a lot of work to be a nice comfortable stay. I think they did an excellent job in every aspect and i'm looking forward to going back for another few days. Very clean rooms and the entire building is as inviting as can be. The staff was friendly, courteous and engaging.

Overall good but the hotel was almost empty off season in late march . I wonder how noisy is the room during the season because the sound isolation isn’t good… Very good beds and the bathroom may need a remodel but was very clean.

Coffee was hot when not empty. Beach walking was great and surrounding neighborhood is beautiful. Limited front desk support (not full-service) staffed by teenagers. Overall great spot for a short stay. We would come again.

I had originally booked a room with a beach view. However, when I checked in I found that the room had somehow been changed to a standard room without the beach view. Not sure how this happened but was very disappointed since the beach view was the primary reason for staying here. Otherwise, a very nice hotel with friendly staff.

The property was nice, clean and convenient to Hartford Amphitheater. The staff, when staff was available, was very disinterested. I called at 10:10 to ask if it was possible to get late checkout and the answering service told me to call back because the desk did not open until 10. When I said it was 10:10, I was told they must be running late. Then a friend staying at the same time went to the desk because she was having the same issue and wanted to request late checkout and the two staff members who had just arrived were complaining about another guest who had requested extra towels. Cmon. The hotel is not cheap. If you want to keep specific front desk hours, so be it, but please make sure that 1. Staff is there when they are supposed to be and 2. They are courteous. We liked the room and restaurant but strictly because of these staff issues, I probably would not stay again.

Great place to stay for Sacred Heart event. A quiet retreat with a restuarant attached. Communication with the hotel was excellant. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet, clean, updated boutique hotel.

This boutique-style hotel was everything we needed and more. We were only passing through, so we only got to stay one night. The Surfside was so cozy and charming. You walk out and boom, you are on the beach. The walkable restaurant choices have great food. The room was spacious, the bed was huge (and so so cozy!). I loved everything about it. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Fresh, clean, and fun. Great little area, wish we would have brought scooter for son to ride around great area. Little Pub was delicious but busy. Great atmosphere with lots of windows to see the water even in the cool weather. Easy uber to total mortgage arena events.

On return, post concert, we had to wade through a flooded road due to significant rainfall. No issue of the hotel, but apparently a problem in that locale as there is a flood measuring post planted roadside, at the end of the seawall. Front desk girl was courteous and efficient. Bartenders were spot-on. All in all, a nice spot.

Beautiful location. The staff in the restaurant is absolutely great. We showed up late after a show when they were about to close but the gentleman working took our order, and delivered it to our room. Great food, great service. I wish the girl checking us in told us about coffee in the common room. Would have made the morning brighter! Lovely place.

It was a perfect beach vibe , great food at the pub, but they should open at 11:00 am , the coffee station is perfect , and the ice water and ice machine are great extra accommodations, I recommend 💯
