Great Hotel. Excellent Service. Amazing Breakfast. Nice Thermal Pools. Nice Fitness Facilities (unfortunately closes early - 21:00hs). Very good location in an incredible nice Island (full of green parks)

Lovely pool and spa with helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent though it was difficult to find a free table. Check in was a disappointment as I had to wait over an hour for my room to be available despite arriving at the stated check in time. The rooms are fine, general decor of the hotel is a mixture of the very modern and areas in need to an update. The fridge in my room suddenly stopped working midway through my stay.

The whole experience was positive from a warm reception and voucher for a drink at the bar . Our room was also upgraded to a spacious nicely designed room on the top floor . The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice . The thermal facilities were very good and kept spotlessly clean . Excellent public transport connections by bus in behind the hotel to the city’s metro network . Will return to this hotel in next visit to Budapest .

Not very happy with the hotel overall. The spa was always overcrowded. Some staff were nice but some were not. The gym equipment is out of date, the running machine made my back pain as it could count off the impact of my steps, which never happened to me. Very very old running machine. The gym mat was very dirty and old.

I had a 4-night stay and used all the facilities they offer. The exterior of hotel is a bit outdated as well as the SPA centre, but all other areas including the rooms are full renovated, extremely clean and well maintained. I have also used some of the chargeable treatments such as Salt Cave, massage, mud treatment and all was good, hygienic and served by friendly staff. Buffet breakfast was also good with many options to chose from. The food served at the Bistro was also good. Overall, nice experience and I would like to return in warmer and greener month

Pros Swimming pool, thermal baths, sauna and steam rooms are fantastic and you don't need to pay for these facilities which saves you going to one in the city centre Location is very quiet and Margaret Island is very peaceful Margaret Island has running track going round which is great for runners Staff very friendly Plenty of choice for breakfast Rooms lovely and well kept Robe and slippers supplied for when you want to go to the pool Restaurant and bar were not outrageously expensive and very reasonable for a drink All rooms have balconies with views over the river Cons Location is quite a distant from most tourist spots meaning you have to walk or catch transport Evening meal has a lot of choice but was luke warm One of the two lifts was out of order for the whole time we were there meaning we had to constantly wait for it Smoking area was right by the front door meaning you had to walk through a haze of smoke at times Overall though I would use this hotel again

Receptionist were efficient and great, all issues were solved within minutes and nothing was impossible: changing shuttle reservations, booking a cruise or a cab, asking for extra amenities etc. The location is calm and pleasant and although there is only 1 bus service, it's easy to get to all attractions as the buses run frequently. Everything was clean, breakfast choices very broad. If I understood it correctly, there was only 1 thermal bath (children under 14 were not allowed to use it) and the other pools were just heated to different temperatures, which is totally fine. I can imagine that during the summer it's even better when the outdoor pool is in operation, because the hotel location makes even more difference by then. The only weak point is the WiFi as it was quite slow in our room so that my daughter couldn't watch her YT videos without frustration.

Great location in relaxing setting on Margaret Island..Hotel clean but showing signs of age in the indoor pool areas. Good selection at breakfast. Rooms are exactly as advertised & A/C worked well keeping us cool in the extreme heat. Fridge in room was great & much needed for cold drinks

Previously we had a more spacious room, but did not object too much as we were still facing the Danube. Bathroom was too small for us and disappointingly the shower gel and hand wash dispensers were not refilled. Top of window there was a spider’s web full of old flies, net curtain had a dead moth and table lamp had cobwebs and dust on the top. Breakfast was up to usual food standard as was the Baroka Bar.

Ensana hotels on Margaret island are our regular stay. Ensana Thermal's rooms are renovated and all are with a balcony. Our room on the 5th floor had a view of the Japanese garden and the Buda side which is great but could hear slightly the rumbling of traffic on the nearby Arpad -bridge. Nevertheless, we always enjoy our stay , the generous breakfast büfé, the spa, fitness classes and the attentive service

We stayed at Ensana Thermal Margaret Island for a night 4 family trip to Budapest with our 6 and 8 year old children. The hotel is situated on the north of Margaret Island, which is in the Northern area of Budapest. The Ensana Thermal is a lovely modern hotel, we were welcomed by a friendly reception team who took our bags and stored them for us until our room was ready. Our family room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed; separate room with sofa bed, desk and toilet for kids. Large bedroom with king size bed, large bathroom, lots of storage. Fridge/ mini bar, kettle, nespresso machine, toiletries, hair dryer, robes and slippers. The balcony was large too, with table & chairs and sunbeds. The only negative was that the balcony needed a good sweep, there was lots of dust and cigarette buts on there. The spa area to the hotel was great, it contains an outdoor pool with sunbathing terrace, indoor swimming pool, spa pool, thermal pool, sauna, steam room and aroma room. The children were welcome in the pools, but it’s worth nothing these are relaxing pools, so not for games and splashing etc. If that’s what they want, the Palatinus Strand outdoor pools are on Margaret Island and only a 10-15 min walk away. Breakfast was served buffet style, in a large and light restaurant with options to sit in or outside. The staff were attentive and helpful. There was a good selection of food to choose from to suit all tastes.

This is a spa hotel. I enjoyed staying there. I also enjoyed the city which is famously beautiful and friendly. The hotel has a lot of options for healing and fun. I it located on island that is a huge park. The spa is good for muscular and skeletal problems, however, you’d need to stay at least for a week. The breakfast is an abundance of any possible choices you can only imagine. The only disappointment was a TV. There is only two news channels in English. I had to watch movies on Hungarian.

Overall a good mony/value hotel. Great shower and location is decent in daytime but at night its limited due to public transportation schedule. Air conditioner was not the best and on high speed made a terrible noise. Also the usb sockets didn't work. room cleaning could have been a lot better and the bed is not as comfortable as one would expect from a resort hotel

Another perfect experience! Excellent service by all the staff. Especially appreciated the wine, fruit and chocolates for my birthday, it was a most pleasant and greatly appreciated surprise. The breakfast was delicious with such a varied selection of food and the coffee shop food was also delicious and always beautifully presented. Looking forward to our next stay!

The hotel is old, room was pretty clean but the staff is not friendly at all. I understand there may be busy term but check in was sharp 15:00. And autopark they informed 15 Eur daily, we stayed around 22 hours and paid over 30 eur. We follow the instructions mentioned. The live music at bistro was cool. Far from the town, used taxi.

Check in was a disappointment as I had to wait over an hour for my room to be available despite arriving at the stated check in time. The whole experience was positive from a warm reception and voucher for a drink at the bar . Our room was also upgraded to a spacious nicely designed room on the top floor . The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice . The thermal facilities were very good and kept spotlessly clean . Excellent public transport connections by bus in behind the hotel to the city’s metro network . Will return to this hotel in next visit to Budapest .

Totally loved this hotel. We had read so many reviews complaining about miserable staff (miserable Hungarians in general) and poor service, but this was not our experience. The staff at the hotel and indeed everyone we met in Budapest were absolutely lovely. The rooms are massive, the breakfast superb, spa facilities incredible. Margaret Island is beautiful with fountain displays, floodlit gardens and a great range of places to eat. The 26 bus takes you to tram and metro stations and you are in the city centre in a matter of minutes. I honestly have nothing negative to say about the hotel, the staff, teh food, the island or Budapest

Good place to stay, just that is not convenient to go downtown, you’ll have to use bus 26, and metro. The island is nice, If you have a car is excellent. We called Bolt and Uber . Around 6-7000 Forints one way to the Wheel. Thermal bath is excellent, also the breakfast is excellent.

The breakfast buffet and the diner/cafe offered several safe gluten free options as there are several celiacs in my family. The food was tasty. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. This wasn’t our first stay at this hotel and we enjoyed our stay again.
