Dog friendly oceanfront escape at Lewes -WiFi & AC

This is absolutely perfect to stay with family, kids and dogs. It was just my husband and I and two dogs. The view is amazing, so close to the beach and the dogs loved it. They have an outdoor shower to wash the dogs and rinse off sand. I would definitely stay here again. It was perfect!!!

Even in November the screened in porch was perfection! Just grab a blanky and enjoy.

We liked the layout and space of the unit. The kitchen was well-stocked and all the house necessities were supplied. LOVE the screened in porch and the upstairs deck. It's a short walk through the dunes to get to the beach. It's private but right next to the public beach, so you have the option to be close to people or not. Recommend!

Had trouble with the front door lock. Had to call for help and second code did not work. Had to use lock box key. The master bath shower hand held sprayer leaked. Tried to keep it from dripping but could not. There was no carafe for the coffee maker was found. Used the French press. The screen on the porch had several holes and flies and gnats got in. Also one of outside steps was loose. This is more a county/state problem. The beach had dead hermit crabs which drew flies on the beach. Talking to others on the beach we found out this time of year there is little beach maintenance done. This makes it difficult to stay out there more than an hour and we had to keep moving to avoid them. This made the beach experience unsatisfying. The house itself was fine and a good location for exploring the area and shopping.

We stayed here for a long weekend and everything was great - the location was close to shops and restaurants but set back in a quiet little condo complex. The beds were comfy and we really appreciated the extra towels and the blackout curtains so we could sleep in. The beach chairs were nice and accessible and the house decor was kitschy and fun. Would definitely recommend for a family with kids!

Pluses of this property are location, view, access to beach/bay, roominess, and being pet friendly. Minuses are maintenance issues such as very heavy and broken/stuck sliding door to the screened in porch that overlooks the dunes/bay. Guests have to be very strong to wrestle the broken door open far enough shimmy though to access porch. Wrestling with that door several times a day was very difficult and affected what is an otherwise nice stay at this property.

We loved every minute of our stay here. So fun and funky and the location right on the beach was amazing! The place is a great combination of fun & eclectic and to every modern convenience. New and well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. We LOVED the screened in porch where we spent most of our time! The walk to town was about a 20 minute easy walk, or a 5 minute drive. Loved this place and can't wait to return!

Down rt 1 and jump on rt 9 before u get into all the traffic and back up. Takes u right to this place. Amazing sunsets from your bedroom balcony and great inclosed porch below to just sit and enjoy sounds of the ocean. Easy walk to the beach. If you looking for a place with easy parking and privacy I highly recommend

Beautiful property and a great place with beautiful view from screened in porch. It was a little tight with all the furniture but we really enjoyed it

This townhouse was in a great location- right on the beach and close to stores, restaurants, etc. The state park is just down the street which is really nice. The townhouse had all the necessities including cooking essentials, beach chairs, outdoor shower to get the sand off, etc. The townhouse community was very quiet at night so we didn’t have to worry about being kept awake from noisy traffic. I highly recommend!

It was ok but wasn’t great. What I loved the most about this place was the direct beach access behind the house. Super convenient and the balcony off of the master bedroom was nice too. \r \r But the master bedroom had a strong smell, possibly animal urine (looking at the previous review). The kitchen also had a smell. The place could use a lot of updating/reno in my opinion. It seemed really dated.

Great location and great place with quick access to the beach. The main negative issue was the cleanliness of the property. There was a bag of dog poop left on the back patio area. Another recent had the same issue. I hope it wasn’t the same bag!

Clean house with great views and very convenient beach access

I realize that this is a pet friendly listing but the large area rug in front of the back porch was damp and smelled of urine-we had to move furniture roll it up and put it on the porch, making the porch unusable. I had a toddler and we couldn’t let him play on the floor. Huge, dangerous whole on the front deck. The clothes washer leaked and water ran out the front of it-could not be fixed. The frying pans had visible grease on them. Dishwasher was full of dishes on arrival. Powder room toilet leaked at the base. I was hosting my family for my son’s wedding that weekend and it was embarrassing. Very disappointing. This is the only rental either from a third party or directly from the owners that I did not, cannot give a great rating for.

It was perfect and accommodating for our dog - who was visiting a beach for the first time (she had a ball!). We would book this property again!

Very clean and beautiful townhouse on the beach. Great place to decompress! Calming and peaceful. I loved waking up in the morning to the amazing view of the ocean.

3rd stay at this location for a reason - it's a great location, allows a dog and has a fantastic view. Kudos to the cleaning crew, the place was immaculate, and the addition of the Vacas kitchen cleaning supplies was a very nice touch.

Deck has nice views but housekeeping not great, heavy musty smell. Vacasa refused my late check out request even though no one was checking in the same day.

This was a very nice beach condo. The first I noticed is it was CLEAN!!! All I care about is safety, cleanliness, dog friendly and beach access! This exceeded my expectations.

The property is right on the beach which allows you to hear the ocean day and night. Very clean and comfortable, makes staying there cozy and relaxing.

This home is conveniently located on the beach and close to the state park. Easy access to Lewes and surrounding areas. The home is cozy and eclectically decorated.

Great views from the second floor balcony off the master bedroom but not on the main floor. Townhouse is on the sand which is fabulous for walks and going over to the ocean. I go to the beach off season in April and Oct 1 so it is not really busy with people. All decorating and furniture and kitchen dishes and silverware are very old and seem to be from the Goodwill. Bright colors that don't go together so pieces just thrown into this house. I rolled up the main floor rug that also felt old. It feels really neglected like the owners never go there and they only rent it. I brought my own sheets and glad I did. The towels are hard. There was sand inside the screen porch still from the winter winds and not cleaned up yet. Same with the small patio in the back where they have a picnic table, sand covered most of the patio. The only back door is the sliding glass door and that would not open easily I had to tug and pull. I saw it was filled with sand maybe from the winter blowing. This is the only door out to the back so a fire hazard if you need to get out quickly. I dug out some of the sand and it would open better but this needs to be fixed or replaced. It feels like a unloved house but it could be beautiful. But you are right on the sand and it felt safe so I will go again.

Hoping this is a one off and still waiting to hear about reimbursement for that evening atleast. The furniture is eclectic, a little random...good for a lot of guests during in season but not for a family in the rain to be cozy. The thermostat downstairs controls the whole house and it made it too hot upstairs, we had a baby with us so that was a bit of a concern at night. Great beach access and very clean home.

Location and views can’t be beat. Like many rental places, the furniture is a mixed bag as is the kitchen. Lewes is a lovely little town—Hallmark movie?—and Cape Henlopen is gorgeous.

Great Stay! The home was located in a private setting, with easy access to restaurants and shopping on Second Street. Our visit was over Thanksgiving, and we are grateful for crab cakes and a secluded stay.

The house was nice and had everything we needed! The location was perfect for everywhere we wanted to go, too! We come to the area as often as possible because we are from Milton - and, we would love to stay here again!
