Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Denver Airport at Gateway Park

PROS: Room was very clean. Bathroom decent size. Mini Fridge, Microwave, and coffee maker. Black out shade & privacy shade. Work desk with rolling chair, two built in wall nightstands. Housekeeping was great. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was awesome. Plenty to eat and drink for everyone. CONS: Room was very small..I even upgraded on Expedia & still had a small room. For two adults for a week, it's was not easy to hang clothes. TINY closet space and could barely get the ironing board out of the closet. I like to live outside my suitcase but there were no drawers to put underclothes in. Perfect for a single person. It says to use the AC Control on the wall but it did not work. The old unit was what we had to use, and it was noisy. The indoor pool was tiny and the bleach smell was awful. Didn't know if they meant it to be green or not. The gym was bigger than the pool. Overall a nice place to stay if it's just one person. Or if you aren't going to be there for a long period of time.

Great stay after 2 long weeks on the road. I was dissapointed in the very small pool that was freezing. My kids LOVE water and they only lasted about 20 minutes. For the money spent on the rest of the property, they really went the cheap way on the pool. Also, the tile close to the pool was extremely slippery. The family leaving as we got there said 4 of their adult family fell in the same spot. So I put down pool towels to make sure we didnt fall. Great stay...skip the pool. Unfortunatly you still pay for it in the rate for the room. Such a bummer!

The hotel stopped shuttle service from the airport and failed to notify guests who were already booked. This was the one feature I looked for when booking. I found this out only when I called to tell them our flight had been delayed and we were getting in at 1 AM and find out if the shuttle ran 24 hrs. They said they would note the account for the late arrival and informed me about the shuttle no longer running. Our flight kept getting delayed and we arrived at 5 AM. Instead of being understanding and accommodating, the receptionist gave an attitude telling me they could’ve released our room since I didn’t notify them. I told her I did call when our flight was first delayed. That shift never notified the next shift and she still insisted it was my fault. The receptionist in the morning shift was much nicer and very helpful which is the only reason I gave this hotel a 2 star.

Food was decent but breakfast closed sooner than it said it was closed. Bed comfortable but cleaning was not good. No washcloths, know shower step out towel. Put the exact same mints on the bed that we had since the day we got there. Garbage not emptied. Pool closed for cleaning 3:00 in the afternoon.

Really enjoyed by stay! We really liked the spacious room and the gym!

Apart from the location the reason I chose the hotel was because it has a pool but it was freezing cold and the staff could not get the temperature above 71 degrees my son was so upset that he wasn’t able to play in the pool

The gym had all the stuff that a person is looking for on day to day basis.

The hotel and staff are excellent. NOTE: be prepared though, you have to pay for parking, including the night you stay as a guest. And there is a service fee for the parking company. A one night stay cost an additional $17 for parking for less than twelve hours. Other hotels in the area do not charge you parking for the nights you are staying.

The rooms were amazingly clean and quiet. The gym was fantastic, as were the pool and breakfast. I was able to shuttle right to the airport and back. Very happy!!

The gym was well equipped and the property was super clean. The breakfast buffet was perfect and had a variety of things to choose from.

The dining area was very clean and the good choices were great. The bed was comfortable and it was nice that the maid service made the bed and gave us clean towels between nights. My dislike was the bathroom. The towels seemed old and worn. There was hair on the floor by the toilet. The shower drain was clogged so I stood in standing water in the shower. Yuck!

No cold water in the room. Called front desk 3 times and spent more than 1 hour to get it fixed. After housekeeping, hairs can be found in bathtub and sink. Can't believe it's Marriott quality.

The fridge in the room didn't work at all, there was no lounge chair or sofa, only a hard desk chair, the shower mechanism was partially dysfunctional. Overall deficient rating. And no restaurant.

Great location, cleanliness and comfort

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, Special thanks to the woman working the breakfast area Saturday morning and the woman working the front desk Sunday morning, they were amazing. The room, however, had its issues. AC made a bad rattling noise, hallway light only worked part of the time, light on headboard was broke, and internet was down the whole last day of my visit. There also was no shower liner, just a thin curtain that allowed the water to go through and soak the bathroom floor.

Very comfortable rooms. Soft bedding and pillows. Large TV. Spacious bathrooms. Good breakfast.

There is construction happening that started around 6:30 one day and 7am the other day. The air machine in the room is also extremely loud and if you use hear smells like burning. The finishes are nice though and brand new. The pillows are terrible.

I liked how close and convenient it was to the airport. The breakfast was wonderful. I liked the personal touches of being welcomed on the TV monitor. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was aesthetically pleasing. The bed was comfortable. The shower was nice. I would highly recommend it to my family.

We really liked the hotel, it was clean, comfortable and convenient. Unfortunately, the woman who was working at the front desk was incredibly rude, disrespectful and the exact opposite of gracious, kind or helpful. At 12:30 in the morning after a long day of travel when we arrived to check in to our 2 reserved rooms, she said we only had one, that there was nothing she could do and that’s what happens when we book with a third party. I showed her my Expedia confirmation showing two paid rooms with two different names, still said there was nothing she could do, that this happens all the time with third party bookings and her attitude grew increasingly disrespectful. When we asked to see the list she had with all the reservations we pointed out our other room with the other name. She never apologized for her behavior rather acted as if it had never happened. The next morning when we went to get coffee we noticed the carafe was empty. We went to the front desk to ask about more coffee, the same woman was still there. She told us that the lady was in the kitchen and to go ask her. The shuttle driver overheard the conversation and immediately said he would go inquire about more coffee. I can’t imagine anyone would want this woman to be the face of their business and the person in charge of setting the tone for their guests.

We checked-in on the night of October 12 and whoever was at the front desk was SO RUDE! There were 4 of us but there were only 3 towels in the room so I called the service desk and housekeeping couple times but the phone was always busy so i went downstairs to the front desk and asked for one extra towel and a pillow. The front desk staff rolled her eyes on me and said she’s not supposed to leave the front desk and gave me an attitude so i said nevermind forget it! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Two of your staff, Vivian and Montse who both work as a receptionist were able to handle any situation that arose and were more than accommodating. These two are a major reason for your success. We will be back.

As I walked into the loony I was greeted with a warm and sincere welcome to the Fairfield. It really made me feel at home and the kind person was name Leann and she made it very easy to check in. The night executive was also very professional and polite but I unfortunately didn’t get her name. Will recommend Fairfield to friends and colleagues. Thanks. Eric

Fantastic hotel but only downside is charging $12 per night for an empty parking lot. I requested the front desk staff to waive it but denied right away by angry front desk staff.

Typically hotels are supposed to take care of you, but that this one, you take care of them. AWFUL EXPERIENCE! Expedia was amazing and refunded some of our stay, when this hotel didn’t refund us the difference of putting us in a double bed room versus a king room. We ended up having so many other issues here as well. We even had to watch the front desk while hanging out in the lobby one night. We had to assist guests & answer questions. Marriott has gone so glare down hill. One of the beds in our room was covered in dog hair too. The front desk person at night was soooo rude. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, but thankful that Expedia did what they could to help us!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Fairfield! The hotel was clean as was our suite. I liked the inclusion of free breakfast, with dining yards away for lunch and dinner options. Staff was very pleasant. I stayed in April 2025 and I was a bit tense given the political climate in the US right now, but guests were super friendly, too! The only thing is that I came for a conference at the Colorado Convention Center and I was driving, but that commute in traffic was tense. So, if you are looking to attend to business in the downtown area, this hotel might be too far away for you. Otherwise, this is an excellent (and very reasonably priced) hotel to take in some of Denver.

Newer hotel. Good location. Close to resturants, airport and shopping.

Very close to the train which is the best way yo get into town.

Great gym. Room is comfortable and the location is convenient to the airport. Only negative would be the breakfast was limits and everything was cold, even the hot water.

What would make it better is a better breakfast. The bacon was paper thin and flavorless. Only one waffle maker (need at least 3) so people don’t have to wait 3-4 minutes per waffle. Breakfast was below average. A drawer in our room was off the rails. The pillows were below average compared to other hotels.

The hotel was conveniently located near the interstate, which allowed us good access to different locations. The room was very clean, and breakfast was excellent. I would recommend it if you are traveling or sightseeing in Colorado.

At check-in, Monica was very friendly and helpful. Every time i saw her, she smiled and waived. Hotel was clean, breakfast area was well maintained, and food was good. Especially loved the waffle maker that made 4 small waffles!!
