In my opinion this is the best hotel in Santiago. Rooms are large with stunning views of the Andes mountains. Well kept facilities, well trained staff and a terrace/pool area that’s a true oasis in a very busy city with warm temperatures 9 or 10 months of the year.

Very pleasent stay indeed!Very kind and helpful club lounge staff , unfortunately the club lounge was at all times rather noisy due to the presence of noisy children; whereas the club lounge should be a retreat of quietness and a relaxing and peaceful environment.The lack of a steam bath and dry sauna at the gym area is very disappointing.Please do improve the variety of available pillows.

Absolutely unsurpassed service - from the moment we reached the hotel to departure, seamless customer first service that made us feel so valued. Beautiful room with huge windows, thoughtful turn down service with touches that I hadn’t experienced in other hotels, one of the best hotel breakfasts that I’d ever seen, gorgeous communal spaces and a well-equipped gym. Most staff are absolutely superb. The pool area is without doubt a gem and an oasis in this beautiful city especially in the summer months. Rooms are huge and well furnished with lovely high pressure showers. Huge windows complement the rooms with amazing views of the snow capped Andes mountains. Breathtaking! Just two aspects let the hotel down from excellent to good. On check in, rather than provide a room immediately, the reception staff seem (as in many hotels) to wield too much power and make you wait until official check in time or even later! The hotel was definitely not full and these staff could easily have provided a room for us. In fact they stated they would e Mail me when our room was ready. They did not and when I asked about our room after the 3pm deadline, they manufactured a lame excuse about not contacting us! The other problem was carpet in our room(s) For a beautiful five star property, they were really dirty! We actually moved from one room to another because of this reason but the second room was as bad as the first! Please wash / clean the carpets. It’s not right or fair to your guests. Thank you.

An immaculate and friendly five star hotel. Rooms are large and really well appointed, with USB plugs, nice toiletries and really comfortable beds, plus space to work. All the staff are so helpful and really looked after me as a solo traveller. Lots to walk to nearby, although there are alsoa lot of big roads. Both restaurants are really good.

Great location with lots of walkable restaurant options. Pool is nice facility to have in the very hot summer. Rooms are spacious with nice bathroom. Air conditioning was NOT working well, which made sleeping miserable. I asked the staff to address several times to no relief. They also need more front desk staff working at peak hours as lines can build up.

La habitación estaba bien, grande y cómoda pero imposible dormir dado lo ruidosa que era. Las ventanas no reducen el ruido de autos, buses y motos en la noche. Es una tortura dormir si la habitaciòn está hacia la calle. No tiene el spa habilitado hace mucho tiempo, tienen una solución temporal en las habitaciones que no tiene disponibilidad para nada. Very poor front desk experience, 85 degrees and pool closed despite being advertised as a key amenity I booked hotel for, all restaurants and bars close at 11:00 pm, gym in a meeting room, primary restaurant under renovation and experience terrible in alternative location, great rooms and room attendants, staff friendliness and helpfulness extremely low, many many many better high end alternatives in Santiago, this hotel is vastly overrated on the internet

As every other Mandarin Oriental, the hotel is fine, no complains. The only problem I had is: Today, around 10am, me and my wife left the room, I went straight to the garage, level -1 to put the bags in the car and my wife went to front desk to proceed the checkout. I forgot a white purse/bag at the room and went back to front desk to get a new access card key. Back in the room, the door was open/not locked and I searched for my item and on the bed it was, but once I opened, there was only a pair of shoes inside and my swim shorts from Vilebrequin brand was missing. It was on that white bag because it was still wet from yesterday’s swim at the Hotel pool. Since 10:30 I’ve been waiting for the Hotel staff to check CCTV footage/camera images to confirm who went to the room between we went down with the bags and after I came back. The only answer I got is that they are trying to reach the laundry to check if it was in the middle of the sheets and blankets. It’s a three day trip and now we are at Vik hotel and I don’t have swim shorts to goto the pool

Zero upgrades offered. I asked hotel check in occupancy and was told “less than half”. I asked for a high floor; I was told any and all upgrades are saved for guests that book directly with the hotel. Sad, as I lived the brand. But felt like I was told “I am not good enough for them”. But hotel was well maintained. Food options were above average. The best part of the hotel was the bell staff, as they made an amazing first impression.

Tivemos a oportunidade de experimentar vários vinhos gentilmente servidos por Alexis com auto conhecimento sobre os mesmos .Quarto impecável com uma linda vista dos Andes. Toda noite colocavam chocolates e água além da máquina de café que era sempre reposta . Meu óculos em cima da bancada recebeu uma flanela para melhor cuidado , os fios dos carregadores foram todos presos com um lacre do hotel ! Fui embora com vontade de voltar !!!! Super recomendo

Modern and exceptionally comfortable hotel Quality of service generally is excellent although service on the terrace and around the pool was slow. I stayed six nights and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and particularly the pool area and gardens The food in both the bar and the Italian restaurant was good value and excellent The elegance and facilities plus the fact that there is a large mall with quality shops only five minutes walk away help make up for the fact the hotel is some way out of the downtown and historic centre

Very comfortable hotel with lovely grounds and large pool. Specious rooms, excellent shower, quiet and very clean. Great food in the hotel restaurants. A very enjoyable 4-day stay. Note that the hotel is not centrally located, so it's a taxi ride into town, but it's quiet for that reason.

The Mandarin Oriental advertises (and prices) itself as a top luxury hotel. Essentially a remodeled Hyatt Hotel, the rooms were nice but nothing special to justify the high costs. The staff was top notch; however, the onsite food was mediocre. We ate at both restaurants and the pool area, and the food just wasn't good. Small sizes and high prices were included. Much better to walk (10 minutes) to the Parque Arauco and eat at one their dining establishments. If you're looking for a truly 5-star hotel, this is not the place for you. We did arrive in the morning but couldn't access our room until 3:30 PM.
