The Lodge at Pilot Knob | Private Pool | Lakeview

Long weekend over Labor Day. We had family and friends come during the day to swim and have fun. We enjoyed the size and the history of the house. Great weekend would stay and recommend it.

I wish I had more time to go into detail about how amazing this place is. We were fortunate enough to book the big house for a few days and nobody was staying at the other two houses on the property. The big house is like being inside a museum - you immediately feel like you have stepped back in time as soon as you pull up, and even more so once you enter the front doors. This isn’t just a unique property - it is an experience. We had some friends suggest the house was haunted just because it’s so old, but honestly, we all felt very peaceful here. We wanted to stay longer! Beyond that, the house and property are well-maintained and modern where appropriate, but the house is mostly original and has been preserved incredibly well. The kitchen is the most modern part of the house and worked really well for us when we had some guests visit for a day. The large dining room is perfect for gathering, but the back porch and pool out back are where we spent most of our time visiting with everyone because the weather was absolutely perfect. The kids loved all of the rooms upstairs, it’s amazing how big the house is when you’re walking through. You keep thinking that’s the end and then you open another door and you’re in another unique room. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We will definitely be back and next time we’re planning on renting all three houses for extended family to stay near us! Thanks!

Clean, LARGE, house. Pool was very nice and kept clean. Nicely quiet and secluded, but grocery, fast food, etc right around the corner if you need it! Host is very friendly and attentive.

This was an amazing place to stay! Our group loved how open and historic the home was. The hostess was always there to answer questions if we had them. Our group looks forward to staying at the home again sometime in the future!

We stayed at the Pilot Knob 2 bedroom cabin in January 2023 and the Historic Home in February 2023. Both stays were great. The cabin and house were both exactly as shown on the website. Rachel was a wonderful host, very attentive and helpful. We would definitively stay again and would highly recommend this property for small or large groups or families.
