Grand Hinckley RV Resort

When i arrived parking spot wasn't plowed out and deck was not shoveled off

Only complaint was giant puddle in parking space for our room-I couldn’t get out of our vehicle!

They were quick at check in, Very polite, We had a little oops on our reservation on our end and they glady fixed it for us quickly! The only downfall is they don't have shuttles running during the week so we had to walk to the hotel from the chalets which isn't to far normally but in the winter when it's freezing outside it sucks, Also the pool is awesome at the main hotel and open to adults till 1am but Absolutely no beers or alcohol allowed at all which takes away the fun of being there until 1am. All in all great place to stay.

We were pleasantly surprised that we had a stand alone unit on the end of the row, right next to the walking path to the casino. The unit itself is actually a manufactured house, not what I would call a chalet. The rooms were spacious. Does show some wear and tear. We had the unfortunate experience of a Robin flying into our window at 7:00 am, thumbing over and over on the glass. We believe they saw the tree reflection in the window. Also bird droppings on the railing of the deck and door threshold. Picnic table could use a pressure washing. Did like we were just a short walk from the casino. They do have a shuttle to the casino that comes through about every half hour. Over all we were happy with our choice to stay here, even though check in was kind of hectic, they seemed fluster. Not sure if was the number of people checking in or training someone new?!

A little worn down. Some mold in the cracks and corners of the shower stall Some updates needed. Like decking on porch is needing a facelift.

Place was clean and well kept I got pet friendly chalet didn't smell like animal

Staff are always smiling and friendly! Check in is extremely quick and easy! My chalet is always nice and clean just an amazing experience all the way around!

Nice clean and well maintained

We had a nice, mostly private place to stay in one of the Chalets. It was very nice to have the kitchenette in case we needed to cook. Next time I might bring pans and dishes to do that! The one thing that caused a lower rating of cleanliness is the bird mess in the doorway and the windows. We had to step over a lot of bird doo doo so as tonot drag it inside and the windows were very dirty where the bird had crashed into its own reflection. They do this at our home too so I recognized the markings and its a constant thing to keep cleaning it up. Overall, it was near perfect! We stayed there due to the proximity of where our son is at so we could visit him. We appreciate the RV resort and will stay again! Thank you!!!

No sheets for pull out couch, blanket on bed was stained/dirty.

was excited to stay in a chalet due to the fact I heard so much about it, well I hate to say it was more than a nightmare you will see on the photos"s the place was really under par for the 159.00 i paid for the room, the towels in bathroom had hair on them the refrigerator was dirty/ on the seal and the coffee pot was filth/y, but the topper was the throw-up on the sofa bed was there for concert, which we didn't enjoy because of the uncleanness mold in shower concert was a blast thank you KYGO

I like how cute and plenty of room the cabin had. Only complaint was the fridge. Did not smell good.

Property is not luxurious but it’s exactly how described. Easy check-in. Clean and well maintained. Kitchen is fun well functioning but bring your own plate wear, utensils, cookware etc

We checked in online and noted we would be there late. The RV Resort front desk has limited hours, so we had to go to the hotel and check in. Instead of getting my keys and paperwork, I had to sit at the gate and wait for security to let me in. Security went to the RV Resort check in desk, where my keys and paperwork were sitting ready to go. Why couldn't this packet have been waiting for me at the hotel, since that's where I was going to have to check in. The chalet has a stove for cooking, but every kitchen cupboard was empty (No silverware, plates, cups, pots & pans etc.) What's the point of the stove if you have nothing to cook with.

The beds and bedding are substandard. Otherwise it was a pleasant, quiet stay, just a very uncomfortable night’s sleep.

No WiFi in living room. Phone on wall did not work. Key card did not work the 2nd time we tried to enter the facility. I called the 800 # & was on hold several minutes before a live person answered. I Explained the problem & he put me on hold to find someone else to try to help. She finally did help by sending a security guard to give us a new card. In the meantime my son was trying to get help at the front desk at the main casino. They said they would send the guard also. All of this took over 45 minutes as we kept trying the card over & over to get in. The 2nd night there were people shouting & fighting in front of our cabin. We got very little sleep. All in all a very disappointing experience. Won’t stay there again or recommend this establishment to anyone.

Love staying away from casino. Coukd use updates. Decks need painting. Overall, nice quiet place to stay.

Have a kitchen but no pans dishes, etc.

This was a great option close to the casino for half the cost. Full kitchen, large deck and spacious bathroom. TVs were really small for the space but didn’t really have time for TV anyway. It was great!

Simple and very clean. Staff at desk very helpful. Quieter stay than Casino lodging. Could have used more coffees and creamers in the room.

Great customer service.

Didn't like for many reasons! Charged us more than advertised, gave keys that didn't work (got locked out in -40degree windchill weather with dog for over 20 minutes), got stuck in driveway- (never plowed our small driveway), RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL maintenance/security workers, miscommunication between employees (cost us more money), and charged for new key that was taken by employee. We asked for discounts because of their negligence (could've been deadly) and ruined a one-time vacation in 3 years with family we haven't seen in years! The supervisor said that they could not do this because we went through Expedia! Being locked out of our chalet with our dog because the key did not work could've killed us if a good Samaritan hadn't come along 25 MINUTES LATER! Minus degree temperature and 40 below windchill was VERY, VERY dangerous! We should never be charged for all the trouble, horror, danger, and major inconvenience we were put through for 4 days! We stayed at the chalets at Grand Casino in Hinckley, Mn. because it welcomed pets. Playing at the casino was the only good thing- we went 1 time the day before we left. Never again will we ever go back there, and we will tell as many people about this nightmare!

This place has become my favorite spot to stay while I'm off the road! Everyone is always smiling and very friendly

Absolutely awful. I rented two, never received my deposit back for neither of them called several times it was hung up on. Never ever stay there

Cute little place, clean and comfortable. Check in was a bit slow, and we were double charged because of the online pre check in and again when we arrived.

Great place To stay with pets. Many activities nearby, golfing, casino, kennell club WI FI could be better.

Went up for my buddy's birthday and with a bunch of friends property I haven't stayed at since I was a kid and it was fantastic. Exactly how I remembered and I recommend anybody who's looking for a less crowded area to reserve in this resort

Their chalets allow dogs, so we have stayed a couple of times when traveling with our dog to see family in northern MN. They are dated but clean enough to spend one night. The shuttle to the casino is convenient. We booked online through hotels.com which really created confusion at check in. Apparently they are not used to people booking indirectly through the app, so it took 3 employees and a great deal of time to check in both times. In an area with limited options, especially when traveling with a pet, this is a good option. I’m sure the main hotel at the casino is much better, but it is not pet-friendly.

Stories restaurant is closed for evening dining. Ended up getting a nasty luke warm piece of pixxa. Coffee was warwews down, tasted like colored water, what has happened to the Hincjley we knew and loved??
