We enjoyed everything about our stay at Southport Tree Escape. Beautifully designed to fit everything needed into a charmingly comfortable studio. The kitchen was thoughtfully provided with enough essentials to prepare a small meal. Everything was sparkling clean and Ginga was most accommodating and available to answer questions. Thank you for your gracious hospitality.

Ginga Cox’s studio apt. over her family’s garage is a delightful getaway place. Tastefully decorated and with good soundproofing, it is comfortable and relaxing to be there. It is well stocked with dishes, towels, kitchen utensils, spices, blackout shades, etc. It even has a washer/dryer and dishwasher to complete the appliances. And Ginga was an excellent host. She was having a housing emergency that developed the day we were en route, which might have required us to stay elsewhere. However, she was already planning for alternative accommodations in case that needed to happen (fortunately it didn’t). Despite this crisis, she let us into the apt. early to store freshly picked strawberries in the refrigerator; this was above and beyond for a host! She was also very thorough in providing all the information needed about the apt. and the Southport area, which made our stay seamless and most enjoyable. While it was a mile or so away from downtown, this was not a problem for us at all. I highly recommend this property as a lovely getaway for a few days.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at Tree Escape. The property is as described. Comfy bed, well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the deck and fire pit. Hosts were very accommodating and communication was great. Would highly recommend if your looking for a place in South Port.

Ginga, Oz and Roxy,Thank you for a delightful stay in the Southport Treehouse. We immediately felt right at home. I loved sipping coffee on the deck and playing frisbee with Roxy.There was not one thing lacking - the attention to detail was impressive. From the well-placed notes throughout the home, to the app, to the aesthetics. You won’t need to bring anything except a beach towel. There’s even an umbrella in the closet! I loved that we were able to walk to town (much to the complaint of my husband, lol). It was the perfect, quiet, relaxing stay for which we were hoping.

No detail was left undone. If there was a question, it was either in the welcome app or a QR code for the answer. The only problem is that there is so much to do in the area, we really didnt get to enjoy the space as much as we could have. But after a long day of sight seeing and activities, it was the perfect place to come back to and decompress. We had a great conversations with the host when we arrived, even played a little game of fetch with their pup. A wonderful trip and wonderful hosts.

Modern, up to date, cozy, extremely well stocked, very clean, very comfortable bed, relaxing deck with rockers and gas fire pit. Couldn’t have been better. Check in and hosts were very easy and accommodating.

This is the perfect place for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle. Set above a garage is a little oasis with cathedral ceilings, super comfy king size bed and a large kitchen. This place had everything we needed and even things we never expected to find. Ginga has stocked this small space with all the essentials, plus added things (i.e. tons of hair product, plenty of towels, spices, extra blankets etc.) We only stayed 2 nights but I can see staying there for a longer amount of time. Beautiful outdoor deck to catch the rays and eat a leisure meal. Thanks for a very relaxing time and I appreciate the added communication...

My husband and I were in the area for a wedding. The location was great to be able to walk and explore or drive. It was a nice getaway and had everything we needed. Our only wish would’ve been that the balcony with fireplace didn’t face the main house.

This loft was fabulously designed with an ample kitchen and huge bathroom….the host was very accommodating and responded promptly. I recommend this quiet retreat to anyone rather than a hotel room.

This is a perfect option for a couple's weekend getaway to Southport. We enjoyed 3 perfect nights in the Tree Escape. The location is within a minute's drive of many options for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. We really enjoyed watching the Witches Ride and watching as they moved from spot to spot. The Tree Escape was newly renovated and is being well maintained. It is spotless. This is a good choice.

The tree Escape was absolutely wonderful! Our Hostess was delightful, responsive and just over all very warm and friendly. The tree Escape provided everything you could possibly want and more for your stay! everything was Modern, updated,super clean and I can't even begin to tell you how comfortable that bed was! My husband and I suffer from terrible bad back pain, and it is literally the most comfortable bed we've have ever slept it in our lives. We reached out for the information, so we can order one when we get home it was that great! Southport is a cute Waterfront town and I would highly highly recommend this Airbnb. Reasonably priced and literally one of the best places we've ever stayed! Thank you for everything Ginga!

This was our third stay at Tree Escape. It is very well maintained and beautifully decorated. We love being among the trees and the quiet setting. For a “studio apartment” it is spacious and airy. It is always very clean, and the owners generously provide an array of coffee pods, sugar and creamers, as well as bottled water. We stayed for a week, exploring the area. I highly recommend this great little getaway.

First time staying in Southport fora short weekend. Tree Escape was a good location, just a mile away from downtown and very walkable. The studio apartment was clean, well appointed and had updated decor and amenities. Communication was great. The only thing I would change was the apartment had a strong industrial bathroom cleaner smell reminiscent of a fire station or school locker room. Not a huge negative, but definitely there if you are sensitive to smells. Otherwise, it was very nice and I would recommend highly.

Tree Escape was very quiet and secluded. Everything was just so clean and the bed was very comfortable! Town was just a short drive away and is walkable during daylight hours. We would stay here again!

Absolutely beautiful!! Open and spacious, impeccably decorated and completely stocked with everything anyone would need from kitchen supplies to bathrooms supplies and everything in between. Quiet, wooded lot and large deck.. just perfect. The owners were so friendly and welcoming truly made us feel at home. We highly recommend the TREE ESCAPE for the perfect getaway!!

Enjoyed our Treetop stay. If you are in the area, you must try this one. Nicely appointed with everything you need. The location is excellent & host has thought of everything. Have one comment.. might consider bedside lighting. Highly, highly recommend this one!

My wife and I came to Southport for a 4-night stay to celebrate our anniversary and this place, as advertised, was fantastic. The space was very comfortable for two, clean and fresh with attention to detail. Well done! We would definitely stay again.

First of all, thank you Ginga! Your place was elegantly designed and a super comfortable base for our weekend. Every last detail considered, from labels on the light switches to a thorough welcome book with a digital version. We couldn’t afford lodging on Bald Head island and “settled” for Southport. Turns out, it was the right choice! We enjoyed our stay and will be recommending to friends. All in all a “fair dinkum” stay!

My hubby and I came to Southport for a 3 night getaway and this was the perfect place to stay! Well constructed and great floor plan, this loft is a great studio apartment. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. We rented bicycles which was the perfect way to get downtown (0.7mi away) and wander this historic area. Clean, comfortable, and inviting. A great place to stay! We hope to be back!!

The tree Escape was absolutely wonderful! Our Hostess was delightful, responsive and just over all very warm and friendly. The tree Escape provided everything you could possibly want and more for your stay! everything was Modern, updated,super clean and I can't even begin to tell you how comfortable that bed was! My husband and I suffer from terrible bad back pain, and it is literally the most comfortable bed we've have ever slept it in our lives. We reached out for the information, so we can order one when we get home it was that great! Southport is a cute Waterfront town and I would highly highly recommend this Airbnb. Reasonably priced and literally one of the best places we've ever stayed! Thank you for everything Ginga!

Ginga Cox’s studio apt. over her family’s garage is a delightful getaway place. Tastefully decorated and with good soundproofing, it is comfortable and relaxing to be there. It is well stocked with dishes, towels, kitchen utensils, spices, blackout shades, etc. It even has a washer/dryer and dishwasher to complete the appliances. And Ginga was an excellent host. She was having a housing emergency that developed the day we were en route, which might have required us to stay elsewhere. However, she was already planning for alternative accommodations in case that needed to happen (fortunately it didn’t). Despite this crisis, she let us into the apt. early to store freshly picked strawberries in the refrigerator; this was above and beyond for a host! She was also very thorough in providing all the information needed about the apt. and the Southport area, which made our stay seamless and most enjoyable. While it was a mile or so away from downtown, this was not a problem for us at all. I highly recommend this property as a lovely getaway for a few days.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at Tree Escape. The property is as described. Comfy bed, well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the deck and fire pit. Hosts were very accommodating and communication was great. Would highly recommend if your looking for a place in South Port.

We are absolutely in love with the Southport Tree Escape. This was our third time staying here with them and we plan to stay many many more times. Location is great and walking distance to many bars and restaurants. The owners are amazing and very easy to contact if you need them. Their dog Roxy is very sweet and we love playing frisbee with her outside! Inside the room is always clean and neatly organized. We could say sooooo many more good things. We highly recommend staying here for your next couples getaway!

Beautiful! No corners were cut when they designed and decorated this place. Lovely! So comfortable and great a/c on very hot July days. Owners were the nicest and always inquired of our needs and even invited us to join their family to watch the parade! And those seats are prized on the Fourth of July! We will come back, but we may wait for cooler weather so we can walk through the lovely areas and appreciate the historic homes at a slower pace. We definitely recommend the Southport Tree House!

The Southport Tree Escape was just as advertised and the quiet surroundings were a welcome surprise. This was a lovely space to stop and slow down for a bit! Easy access to restaurants and shopping and my favorite spots downtown!! Ginga was a delightful and efficient host! Would definitely visit again!

No detail was left undone. If there was a question, it was either in the welcome app or a QR code for the answer. The only problem is that there is so much to do in the area, we really didnt get to enjoy the space as much as we could have. But after a long day of sight seeing and activities, it was the perfect place to come back to and decompress. We had a great conversations with the host when we arrived, even played a little game of fetch with their pup. A wonderful trip and wonderful hosts.

This is a perfect option for a couple's weekend getaway to Southport. We enjoyed 3 perfect nights in the Tree Escape. The location is within a minute's drive of many options for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. We really enjoyed watching the Witches Ride and watching as they moved from spot to spot. The Tree Escape was newly renovated and is being well maintained. It is spotless. This is a good choice.

Everything looks new and very well maintained. Great attention to every detail. Everything we looked for something we found it! An excellent retreat that's close enough to walk to the north end of town very quite. We'll be back to stay here again!

Tree Escape was very quiet and secluded. Everything was just so clean and the bed was very comfortable! Town was just a short drive away and is walkable during daylight hours. We would stay here again!

Loved the Southport Tree Escape!! The location was perfect, about a mile walk to the beautiful downtown of Southport. The hosts were wonderful and gave us great recommendations for dining and exploring. Would definitely stay there again when we are back in Southport!!

Ginga, Oz and Roxy,Thank you for a delightful stay in the Southport Treehouse. We immediately felt right at home. I loved sipping coffee on the deck and playing frisbee with Roxy.There was not one thing lacking - the attention to detail was impressive. From the well-placed notes throughout the home, to the app, to the aesthetics. You won’t need to bring anything except a beach towel. There’s even an umbrella in the closet! I loved that we were able to walk to town (much to the complaint of my husband, lol). It was the perfect, quiet, relaxing stay for which we were hoping.

My hubby and I came to Southport for a 3 night getaway and this was the perfect place to stay! Well constructed and great floor plan, this loft is a great studio apartment. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. We rented bicycles which was the perfect way to get downtown (0.7mi away) and wander this historic area. Clean, comfortable, and inviting. A great place to stay! We hope to be back!!

It was fine for us because we went before Memorial Day so finding parking wasn’t a problem but think this could be a problem in the busy summer season. Overall, a great place and very relaxing as it’s tucked away from the downtown but very close to everything!
