Loved that we were able to get food in the hotel up until 10:30pm. Beds were comfortable. We had a room 2 beds and a pull out sofa and we had enough space for a family of 4. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. They service took the experience to the next level. I have stayed in some high end hotels and the service wasn't at this level. Even the housekeeping were pleasant. We were disappointed with the pool. It was dirty. I didn't need to beg my kids to get out of the pool. They were out in less than 15mins.

The hotel had spacious rooms, very good breakfast, nice bar/restaurant area. The service could’ve been better in the bar/restaurant area as getting waited on was a little slow. Although the food was delicious. The main downfall was the coffee maker in our room. It was really nasty and dirty, we put through 3 cups of hot water and there was still gross stuff coming out into our cups so needless to say we did not use that.

Pleasant lady at front desk upon arrival. Quick checking. Wasn’t able to connect to hotel Wi-Fi. Shower door wouldn’t stay shut unless I put a face cloth in the floor railing to keep it from running open. Noisy air conditioning would blow over our heads and faces above bed. HUGE lineup for breakfast ran into lobby hall. Very poor design to go get breakfast items. ‘Traffic jam’ and really not efficient. Very chaotic. However, staff did their very best to replenish food items as quickly as possible when they ran out of them. Ran out of scrambled eggs which were replaced by what appeared to be ‘fried’ eggs.

Breakfast and parking was included which was great. We were placed on the first floor next to an elevator two entrances and the oooland it was really noisy and loud late through the night. We asked to be moved the next day due to the noise. Also the front desk staff was asked specifically to charge our stay on a specific credit card and they charged the card used to book the hotel instead which was inconvenient. We were disappointed there was no streaming services such as Netflix and Prime which is usually standard in hotels in this price range. Hotel is located next to main roadway and construction was going on everywhere so traffic flow was horrible. Overall not happy with our stay and would not stay here again 👎

I thought long and hard before posting this but I’m still frustrated and angry about my booking at this hotel. I was travelling as part of a party of 5, we had booked two rooms each with 2 beds. The booking was made 4 months ahead and paid in full at that time. 15 minutes before we arrived at the hotel after a long flight we were called and told they did not have the rooms we booked and instead offered to “upgrade” one room to a king room with a sofa bed, in other words 3 beds and a sofa bed. I asked for what I had booked and was told they had been over booked and could not give is the 4 beds booked. I received no substantive apology and the staff kept hammering away that we had an “upgrade”. Had I had more notice I could have booked another hotel but at such short notice there were few options. Worst hotel experience for a long time!

The Hotel is conviently located close to the highway but far enough to not be noizy. Check-in was quick and courteous. The breakfast buffet is good, alot of choices and pretty good food. My only concern is also a warning, housekeeping will still enter your room even if you have the do not disturb sign, we were staying only 2 night and on the first afternoon, having gone to bed late, we slept in in the afternoon. Housekeeping still tried to enter our room, fortunately we had put the door stopper otherwise they would of barged in while we were in bed. Definitely unprofessional.

We stayed for 1 night and unfortunately there was a hockey tournament staying as well. I've stayed in all the Bells Corners hotels while visiting family over the years and I have NEVER had such an awful experience with hockey tournament guests before (or the inaction of the hotel staff). We were placed on the 2nd floor and pre-teen boys were permitted to run up and down the hallway, yelling, and slamming doors until 1am. We called the front desk a couple of times who said they'd "send up security", at which point the noise would stop for a few minutes and then resume (presumably after the "security" left). I won't spend time here complaining about the selfish and ignorant parents who permitted such behaviour from their kids in a public hotel space, but I'll focus on the hotel itself. Hyatt, I'm not sure it takes that much to PLAN for these events and STOP placing regular guests on the same floor as hockey tournament families. Or, have "security" (or someone) posted on the floors permanently for the evening hours to ensure this behaviour doesn't happen. I realize it's all about the money and packing as many people in as you can, no matter what rooms are available, but you've lost a member here and with our friends and family who also choose Hyatt. It's an insult to have had to pay what I did for the pleasure of little sleep and alot of disturbance.

The team at Hyatt Place Ottawa - West went above and beyond with my stay. I had requested they leave a small welcome note for my 3 year old who was travelling with us, just to make her trip a little extra special. The staff, especially Natalia, not only left an adorable note; but also some cookies and snacks welcoming Madison. She has told everyone about how the hotel was so beautiful and gave her gifts. She was absolutely elated. I cannot recommend this location enough

The hotel is close to 417 which means you are never too far from downtown. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Washroom was large and bright. Complimentary breakfast was very good but extremely busy. They weren’t kidding when they recommended getting down there early. The pool looked decent but we didn’t use it.
