Evergreen Lodge at Vail

The Evergreen Lodge was a great choice for our one night stay in Vail. It is an older property but has been kept up and has a contemporary look. It was very quiet (at least on our visit). It is in a great location to access East and West Vail by walking or picking up the bus at a nearby stop. The pool and jacuzzi areas were very clean and in great condition. It is right next to the hospital and very convenient if one is getting medical treatment.

The property is in an amazing location and was perfect for 4th of July weekend. Nice pool, spa and small gym. Two food options, one is a bar the other is pricy Indian food. Overall the room was a bit dated and we could hear a group a teenagers through the walls. Great for a summer weekend, wouldn't want to splash the cash here for what I can imagine they would charge over ski season!

This property turned out to be the perfect location in summer. With an easy walking distance of Vail village in one direction and Lion's Head village in the other. There's a gorgeous walking path along the rushing river. The pool is absolutely beautiful and warm. Large indoor hot tub with view of the mountain. The deck is divided into free space and restaurant space and is so inviting with flowers and the sound of the creek The Indian restaurant was superb. There is also a bar and grill on the property. Continental breakfast was available in the lobby as a nice surprise. Our room was a very good value and had lovely.aspen outside our window and partial mountain view Some rooms have patios and suites are available. The housekeeping staff was very good. You can rent bikes right on the property.free parking.

I can see why Evergreen has a solid 4-star rating. My first impression was that it was kind of shabby: the furniture and carpets are worn, and the bathroom looks like it belongs in a highway motel. But, I had an excellent stay. First, the location is great for skiing. It’s only a 10-min walk to the Lionshead Vail Square where you can board the Eagle Bahn gondola and Born Free Lift. (you could also take the free intown bus for 1 stop, which saves you about 5 minutes of walking but could be helpful if your feet/body are sore). The ticket office is there too, plus all of the village shops. Evergreen is considerably cheaper than the other ritzy hotels in Lionshead. The hotel has a terrific staff: everyone was courteous and helpful and friendly. They let me check out a little later because I had injured my wrist on the slopes. Even though it’s not a luxury hotel, it provides everything you need. My room with a king bed was spacious, with a balcony. They include continental breakfast. The mattress was firm and new, and the pillows were plump and cushy, so I had a great sleep. There is an Indian restaurant, a bar/restaurant, equipment rental, ski/board storage, swimming pool, hot tub, and exercise room. They consider the environment, so the bathroom heater is on a timer, and there is a water-filling station in the lobby. The hotel was packed, but it was not noisy at night since everyone is up early to ski.

A delightful lodge with a great hot tub, pool, and restaurant. Easy walking distance to Gondola 1 and Lions Head. Rooms rather large with plenty of closet space. Just off the Vail exit. Easy outdoor parking. Have stayed here many times. I think it is one of the best locations and most reasonably priced lodge in Vail.

Its very close to the gondolas and it has its own ski rental shop with great prices, best hotel in Vail

The lodge was conveniently located, a walk or bus to Lionshead. Could also take a bus to Vail Village. Room was clean with everything we needed. There was a bar/restaurant with pool tables, ping pong, and great music. Perfect for a late night meal. Got to use the hot tub and sauna to relax after a long day of skiing. Even a little ski shop in the lobby. All in all, exactly what we needed at a decent price (compared to other lodging options in Vail). Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating when we checked in. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Its a convenient location, easy to walk between vail village and Lionshead. The pool area is secluded and nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Evergreen lodge was quaint and convenient. It’s walkable to both Vail village and Lionshead village. The shuttle stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel if you choose that mode of transportation instead. There’s a 24 hour gym and hot tub. Loved that there was a ski rental facility in the lobby. Added bonus was the complimentary mini breakfast in the morning and snacks in the evening. It’s by no means a luxurious hotel but it has all the features that we were looking for (and more) without paying 900$ per night at other more upscale hotels.

We had a great overnight stay. The room was clean and close to the bus that goes through Vail.

There were beer bottles and garbage in our room when we got there and the front desk lady was so mean

This hotel is a little older however it is very clean. Within walking distance to Vail Village and there is a free shuttle bus up to the Amphitheater. Did not use the pool but it appeared to be in good shape The employees at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel that is beginning to show its age. Signs of mildew around the edges of the ceiling in the shower some carpet was frayed in the hallway. There were only two luggage carts for a very large hotel and we had to carry all of our luggage down to the car. TV was pretty small for a room priced as it was. Excellent location and the sports bar was a lot of fun! Enjoyed playing shuffleboard while we waited for our meals to come. Hotel needs to invest in some updating if they want to stay competitive with other hotels in the area.

I was here for a 4 day ski trip. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was good. The hotel was quiet at night. It was within walking distance of several attractions. The staff was friendly. The only thing that was inconvenient was that one day, the maid service did not give us enough towels, so we had to go to the exercise room to take some.

Coffee in the morning was nice, but the pastries were pretty weak with no healthy alternative so if you're looking for something more, you'll want to take a walk. Other than that small thing, the Evergreen is an excellent value, with friendly staff, clean, comfortable, and super convenient, right next door to the hospital and walking distance to Vail Village and all that has to offer. The Nepali/Indian Restaurant in the lobby is also excellent!

Popcorn ceilings… that always sais a lot. What is that coil heater in the bathroom wall? Carpet very dirty, should have been replaced years ago. Time for the scrape…

This hotel was in a convenient location. It needs to be updated. The pillows were lumpy, and it was very, very noisy. Make sure to bring your earplugs and your own pillow!

The only thing that dinged the stay for me was the age of the room itself: the only thing semi modern was the T.V. — For the price I expected a slightly more modern. Outside of that it was outstanding.

Hotel was beautiful, staff was extremely nice (specifically Jose at the front desk). The room was very hot though without AC and just one fan.

The room was very dated and being next to the highway was hard. The shower was VERY difficult to use and there wasn’t a full length mirror which was frustrating since I was going to a wedding and wanted to see my outfit (first world problem). The staff was friendly and the pool area was really nice, all in all it was ok.

There aren't many affordable options in the heart of Vail, so this was the best option for having everything within walking distance. The lodge is showing its age a bit, but overall it's still well kept and clean. Perhaps the biggest surprise to me was the lack of A/C. Fortunately I did not spend much time in my room during the day, and at night it cooled down with the window open and fan blowing. Aside from the lack of A/C, this lodging met all of my needs. It was clean and comfortable and did have plenty of amenities. More importantly, you can walk out the back exit and you're right at the trail and main thoroughfare that takes you both to Vail Village and over to the Lionshead area and gondola.

Property has no air conditioning in the rooms

The room was clean, the beds were a little uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in The mattress. Besides that, it was a good stay. The staff was excellent and very friendly!

I didn't like all the noise in the hallway as I was near the elevator doors. Also I paid extra for a mountainside room but my view was mostly obscured by the hospital building across form me because my room was only on the third floor and the hospital building was four floors tall. Perhaps if my room was on a higher floor I could have enjoyed the view that I paid extra for.

Staff was great! we came in late after the blizzard and their was “room at the inn”! but the kitchen was closed and food delivery was not happening due to the blizzard - SO. they opened up the kitchen again!!! fantastic service

Excellent care by staff

We did not have hot water on day 1, we called to have it fixed early in the day and nobody came until we called again after being out all day. By the time they came and we were able to clean up we missed our bowling and dinner reservation. (Both which had to be paid for and surcharges for). I was told no manager was on duty. Frustrated for sure! Otherwise room and property were clean, bed was ok. Pool and hot tub are clean. Location was great. Disappointed that my multiple calls for help while there and after have not been returned by managment.

The Evergreen Lodge was the perfect place to stay for our Vail, CO getaway! The location is perfect as it is right in between Vail Village and Lionshead with accessibility to everything we wanted to do! The property was well maintained and the staff was very friendly! We will definitely stay here again!

This hotel is a great place in Vail and is easy access to the bus system, walking to the Village or biking. We always choose this place when coming for a night or two.

A nice location with walking or quick shuttle to the center village, but far enough away to be out of the noise and crowd. Lionshead is a stone's throw away, and walk to the Gondola in 5 minutes. We took a mountainside room, and worth the extra $. North rooms will definitely see and hear the interstate. Recommend getting 4th floor or higher, since the big hospital is immediately to the south (and blocking view). The pool is a nice amenity. The hotel is very nice, albeit a little on the 'vintage' side. You can certainly find newer and luxury hotels in Vail, but easily twice the rate. Evergreen probably has about the easiest parking of all accommodations on the south side of the interstate

Location was great! 5 min walk to the bus line either direction in Vail. 1 stop from Lionshead Village.

We liked that the location of Evergreen Lodge Vail was in between 2 of the go pro events that we wanted to watch.

Evergreen Lodge is always a good choice in Vail. The room rates are reasonable, service is always very good and the location is perfect... midway between Lionshead and Vail Village. Easy, short walk to both, or ride the Intown Shuttle Bus. It's getting a little dated overall, but it is a very good deal for the rates. Again, service is always excellent and friendly!

Extraordinary service! Clean spacious room with workspace. The bed is sufficient but not as luxurious as comparable properties. It is a great value for the area and has multiple in property food choices. Annaparma is exception service with outstanding flavors.

Restaurant was good, the bartenders were fantastic. Beds were comfortable and clean. Can’t beat the price in Vail!

Had to have a surgery at Vail hospital and it’s location is right next to it so this was ideal for us to stay in as I had to check into the hospital at 6am. Staff was super friendly and attentive. The good at the Nepal restaurant they have was amazing as well.

Older but nice property with easy access to transportation, the village, and the amphitheater. Good food.

Would prefer better breakfast selection but other wise very convenient to skiing and both villages.

Evergreen Lodge continues to be a high standard, affordable accommodation option in Vail. Plus, the bar is vibrant, Annapurna Restaurant serves delicious food, the beds are comfy, and there is morning coffee and pastries in the lobby.

The hotel was clean. That’s about the only good thing I can say. This hotel is OLD and it shows. The front desk people we ok, but not a lot of “services” offered. We did not try pool, hot tub, or gym. The “restaurant” is average at best with a VERY limited menu and it’s only open for dinner. The “breakfast” offered in lobby were limited and of mediocre quality. They ran out of the pastries by 8:30 then just cold store-bought donuts. If you need a place to stay that’s near the Vail hospital (for surgery) this is super convenient, but don’t expect much, and you will not be disappointed.

Positive …. Friendly helpful staff very responsive…. Negative… They need to get up to standard on their breakfast …. It is lame …. No one only serves danish and coffee for breakfast ….
