Great for families. The staff were amazing, location was great and would recommend for others with children. Disappointed we could not dine at the Italian restaurant with children, which provided far less options for dinner. Would also recommend a more defined rule for Floaties. I was unable to float in a small ring (adult sitting floater that is 2.5 feet wide) while others were allowed sitting floaters with nets. It’s unclear how those two things are different and one is allowed while the other is not. For volleyball I would also suggest a longer playing time in the evening. All five times we played, by the time the staff arrived and the sand was watered down we started at 420/430 and were promptly stopped at 5 pm. The option to rent the ball and keep the net up until sunset would be great. Many other resorts do it this way as it is not an activity that needs to be staffed.

Don’t waste your money or time in this Resort, I’m rating this hotel one star out of five, this was the worse vacation experience I ever had for being an All inclusive I ended up dining outside the property. Property and rooms very old and outdated, two small elevators for every one, kids pool no heated water, big pool some tiles are missing this is a potential for your feet to get hurt, “wear pool shoes”. Food is limited with no flavor, snacks are very limited and can’t eat at pool area. Drinks very limited, if you don’t tip you won’t get good service, and you have to make a big line for a drink, not enough bar tenders and waiters for everyone. Pool towels are very limited for everyone if don’t make it for a round of towels you have to wait 20 mins for one. Beach chairs are very limited for general admission you have to be part of their VIP club to get a seat if not you’ll get kicked out by their security guards if you are seated in the VIP beach chairs. The beach is not private and it’s public so you will be bothered by vendors every 10 mins offering you any kind of service or food. Customer service is half and half, some of them are nice to you and the other half are very rude. WARNING, at the date of check in you will be greeted by a customer service of an agency name “Unlimited Vacation”, they’ll harassed you to offer you a ridiculous price package for you to sign up. Save your self money and headache, Motel 6 is better than this place.

Food is great and pleasant, staff are friendly and helpful. The only inconvenience is the elevators, specially in the morning the elevators are busy there is a long wait.

Property and amenities were as expected. Very family focused and friendly so if you’re into a more party like vibe this isn’t the place. My only issue was allowing guest to save places at the pool early in the morning but not using them until after lunch.

Elevators were slow, construction going on at night that got woke up to. Pretty good overall otherwise.

Too many weddings with loud techno music all night, every night. Jack hammers during the day. Not enough bar tenders. Sodas all flat. Food was the same and too much pork on the menu. Toilet leaking at base and they “fixed” it with thick caulk. Electric plug in bathroom falling out of wall, not functioning; they did not repair after we asked them to. Bad location near where river flows into beach, so red flags up all 4 days and could not swim in beach. Special restaurants not open every night. No air conditioning in specialty restaurants and they have dress code which made it for a hot miserable dinner. Could not take food poolside. Concierge kept bothering us about excursions. Horrible experience overall!

Pleasant helpful staff. Very clean both inside and outdoor areas, pool etc. Great atmosphere. Limited beach seating. Daily activity schedule. Buffet well presented, adequate choices.

We found that during our one-week stay at Sunscape, there were positives and negatives, as follows: Positive: • Friendly and helpful staff • Alcohol was of good quality and quantity • The pool was clean and a good temperature • Easy beach access was nice Negative: • Our room was right above the smoking area and too often we had to close our balcony door to avoid smoke • Our room was right above the outdoor nightly movie venue, and it was so loud, we could not hear ourselves speak without closing the balcony door • In general, there was too much noise, including unsupervised youths in the hallways late at night • The food was for the most part bland, and too often only warm instead of hot. The best food was in the Italian restaurant. • Our room was dated and somewhat shabby • There appeared to be no enforcement of any of the resort’s regulations (other than out of the pool at 7:00 p.m.) • The smell of the cleaning solution used by housekeeping was very strong and unpleasant in the hallway

Dirty, needs many upgrades and pictures make place look a lot nicer

This resort is in a great location and was kept very clean throughout our stay. It is an older property and could benefit from some updates, but as it stands, it is well maintained. The food quality was average, but there was enough variety to find something enjoyable at each meal. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff. No matter where we were on the property, the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—something we’ve only experienced elsewhere in Mexico when tipping heavily. Here, the service was consistently outstanding without that expectation. Overall, a pleasant stay with incredible staff that made the experience memorable.

Property is oudated. Leaks on the ceiling. Elevator is dirty. Washroom is cramped. Bedding is not well dried. Room odor is terrible. Not recommended.

Immediately upon arriving on Sunday we encounter issues with our room. It was not clean, counter was dirty, sliding door didn't have a handle to open it, our room was given to me under someone else's name, my name was under another room, our ac was not cooling down, our shower was not working properly, the pool had broken tile and my husband cut his toe, when he told the lifeguard he just gave him a band-aid, our backs hurt because our mattress was bowed. When asked if they had any channels in English the answer was you should’ve paid to stay at Secrets Resorts, they have English there. We kept calling the front desk for all this issues. On Thursday we were told we had to talk to Concierge, this is 5 days after we had arrived. Concierge exchanged the mattress, offered VIP lounge (not worth our hassle) gave us 4 chocolate covered strawberries and room service but when we called for room service, they told us we had to go to the front desk to pick it up. Since day 1 we wanted to be moved to another room but because I booked through Expedia, I had to request it through them. I also reached Expedia, they told me the hotel had offered me a Junior suite and when I tried to explained to them the situation about the mix up on the names Expedia wouldn't listen refused to helped me believing the hotel and even though we paid for insurance for our reservation, they said we have to take it up with our insurance and call them directly.

The pool area is beat up, water dirty, cracks and broken tile. The edges are sharp and worn out. The rooms smelled. The refrigerator leaked water. The buffet was crowded and unhygienic, as was the area to eat.. just dirty. The drinks were sub sub par. The lobby is a random condo. We left to another property after the first night. Never have I been as disappointed in a property. Still waiting for my refund of un used nights.

We enjoyed our time spent at Sunscape. The staff were friendly, the resort was lovely, the beach was nice, but the food options weren’t very good. We had trouble finding food to serve our daughter (11mo) and to eat ourselves most days. (And we also saw a couple of cockroaches at the end of our stay which was unfortunate). They seem to be on their way to catering to younger families. The location was also quite convenient.

The room wasn’t very clean, the lights in the bathroom were not working correctly. And when we would call to ask for more water it sounded like it was a bother.

Very friendly staff, the only down side was that the hotel smelt of mold. And the rooms are a bit dated. Food was great.

Rude Valet person. Coffee staff wasn't ever there and always slow even when no one is there. Room floor dirty. No towels. I had to ask to clean the room and finally it was cleaned the day before we left. The pool is old and need updating and fixing.

Most staff was friendly. Rooms are definitely not matching current pictures and ours in particular had small details that hindered the comfort durning our stay. The mattresses seemed outdated, several lights in our room were non functional and the room constantly had a damp smell which is understandable given that most people come in and out with wet clothes.

We liked the property was 12 minutes from the airport and was small so easy to walk around with our 2 little ones. The tacos at the Tiki Taco were delicious and room service breakfast was good too. We were bummed we couldn't dine at the Italian restaurant because of our kids age. Our daughter had a great time at the kids club with lots of activities each day. We upgraded our room to a junior suite bay view which had an awesome view! But the room itself was very dated and there were stains on the lamp shades and couch. All in all we had a wonderful vacation here.

The rooms we were in smelled musty and by the end of the stay you could see mould in many areas. The staff were amazing and that was probably the best thing about this place. We went in with an open mind because of the terrible reviews we had read. So if you’re looking for a resort on the beach for cheap this will do.

Great views from the room and very spacious, but the overall amenities were just okay.

Rooms were old, small, and needed upgrades. No clock, no fan in the bathroom, nor enough light. Food was substandard except the Italian restaurant. Even though there were many signs warning against grabbing loungers early and not used there was no enforcement. All were reserved well before 8:00 am but sat vacant most of the day. Minibar was not restocked the three weeks I was there.

Property itself was very nice however the bathrooms in the rooms need updating. Our shower was either scorching hot or freezing cold no in between. Staff were amazing and made the trip for us especially antemo in the buffet he was our favorite. Housekeeping was on top of cleaning they were awesome as well. Pool is nice and a good temperature food was good as well. It’s a great location and the beach is beautiful.

The property is definitely dated when it comes to the hotel. The hallways leading to the room are dark, the bathroom wasn’t the best- bad lighting, water temperature was all over the place. But overall it was fine. The pool area and restaurant were nice. Food was good for an all inclusive. The time share people are kind of annoying, I think they bugged us everyday, especially when walking out of the resort. Would I stay here again? No, but I got what I paid for.

I did not like the fact that I was charged a early (11am) check in fee and was not given a room until regular check in time (3pm). Hotel staff advised me that i only paid to eat and drink early and i did not pay for the room. When I finally got my room, I noticed it wasn’t the room I had booked. I brought this up to the staff and they advised they were doing this for me as a favor. When I walked into my room I noticed it was hot and the AC was not working. In addition, the room was next to the party pool, which is what i was trying to avoid. The staff then changed me to a different room, and advised they would rather me stay in this room instead of refunding me my money. The room was still hot and humid and the AC in this room was unacceptable. The food at this resort was poor and its not worth the high price I paid for this resort. I would recommend you avoid this resort unless you want a mediocre hotel. This is by far the worst resort I have ever stayed in while vacationing in Mexico.

Gran experiencia de servicio al cliente. Los felicito. Absolutamente todos los miembros del personal con los que traté fueron amables y siempre sonrientes. Si hay algún lugar al que regreses es a donde te trataron bien y este es uno de esos. Agradezco que aunque no tenía room service me ayudaron porque mi hija se enfermó y no podía bajar por algo de comer. De los puntos a mejorar, el check in fue larguísimo y me hicieron hacer fila dos veces, más de 30 min cada vez.

Check in was horrible. They took forever and there was a long line. I had to pay extra for my child because this property considers 12 and over adults. Which is not what orbitz considers when you do a search. They had one elevator working so the wait was long, and sometimes it wouldn’t work so I had to take the service elevator. The doors slam so your neighbors doors would wake you up. It’s also noisy. The cards deactivate if they are close to your phone so it was an inconvenience to walk down again for it. Most the staff was nice but there was a couple that were rude. There’s a dress code for everything and Food was blah. I go to PV often and I am definitely not staying there again!

DO NOT STAY HERE. The worst. Cheap food, cheap drinks. Beach bar everything taste like soap. Furniture in bedrooms extremely old and dirty. Terrible Check in experience (charged me additional for my partner in a 2 people stay) average 7.0 rate is still to high. I would go with 3.0.

Property needs some attention and updates. But the STAFF was great! Smiles and very courteous everywhere we visited. We also took advantage of the Explorer's Club (Kids Club) and the kids loved it. The girls there are super nice and very welcoming to our little ones. Gina, Nayeli Sandra and Diana need to get the recognition there. Great attitudes! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and really close to the Malecón(Boardwalk) and airport. Would definitely come back. Hopefully by then, some updates/upgrades have been made. But the staff alone make up for that.

No regresaría a este hotel me quedé con muy mala experiencia, mi habitación tuve que reclamar para la limpieza, no ponían agua diario, solo está lleno el frigobar cuando llegas se ahí en adelante ni jabón te surten, algunos empleados te tratan super mal pero ves como tratan a los extranjeros y es de pena ajena en tu propio país te traten mal, lo único que lo salva es el encargado del restaurante italiano, lo demás pésimo.

Lovely lots of things around

Staff was very kind and hospitable. The activities for the kids were good and easy to join and leave! They had a waterside area, pool with shallow part and tame spots along the beach for the littles to play. The entertainment was good and the food and drinks were also good. We have been to higher rated resorts but this one was everything we needed and perfect location along the beach and close to airport!

I really loved my get away in Mexico and I super loved staying at Sunscape! This was my second time staying at Sunscape and I will definitely be back! I felt really safe, it is kept very clean, and the staff were always so helpful and friendly! I was also impressed with the location as it is in a central area and only a few minutes from the airport and shopping malls! Best customer service I have ever experienced is here which made my stay exceptional!

The property is very well spread out and very convenience. I will recommend to everybody that is looking to have a great time in the beach.

Close to Malecon. Location is excellent. Food was very good with lots of choices. Pool was quite busy so bartenders were busy. Beach was beautiful with plenty of space 😍

Property was wonderful not much of a nightlife in the surrounding area. But over all the hotel it’s self is quiet charming.

The kids pool with multiple water slides was great! Our 3 1/2 yr old spent so much time there and had a blast. Overall the food is okay, the main buffet has a variety but lack luster. The lunch time snack shack is very basic. If you’re a foodie avoid this resort otherwise it’s fine.

Room was nice clean view was good what is showed staff and cleaners are nice 5 restaurants 2 open Food was bland all tasted the same went to Italian restaurant wanted extra money for wine and food was the same bland deserts where not bad breakfast was Buffett but omelette was made in front of you which was good not much for lunch until 130 before that food truck hot dogs and hamburgers and potato chips ehhhh need to get down to beach early if you want a lounger after 10 no space to sit by pool or beach booze was good whatever you want tasted good rooms are quiet

Food left much to be desired. Buffet line for breakfast was long. Went to Seaside Grill one night and got food poisoning. Hotel " credits " were not actually credits but coupons for overpriced items. $40 USD off a $200 USD massage is ridiculous. Shower would switch from warm to scolding hot and back constantly. Tiki Taco restaurant was extremely hot. $45 USD to restock the 4 beer in the mini fridge is ridiculous. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Da Mario restaurant was good. The cleaning staff were great to deal with and left the room spotless

The rooms were nice, they have shopping on site which is nice. The dining room is outside so the food is always cold, if you do not like fish your choices are limited. The Italian restaurant was amazing. There are not enough lounge chairs for the number of guest and they don't enforce the rule about leaving towels unattended for more then a hour. The lobby bar was messy and rarely appeared to be cleaned. The entertainment was ok.Some of the staff were amazing others could care less. We wont be going back. After noon you have to pay per hour to use the facility until your transporation arrives

Great resort with a lot of fun activities. The beach was clean. The staff is outstanding from the front desk to the servers and the cleaning staff. Everyone greets you entry time they see you. The 24hr cafe was fantastic. My main complaint was the food. It was not good at all. Breakfast lunch and dinner at the buffet were always lacking options and the options tasted awful. The only thing I really ate was the tacos at the Mexican restaurant other than that we had to keep leaving the resort to the mall next door to get food.
