The property was nice and had everything we needed. It could use a little cosmetic update but all the amenities were provided and worked well. Off the beaten path but nice and quiet. Thanks!

After reading all the reviews, booking then seeing the actual property, I feel like we were duped. Area around the house was a scary mess. You could tell the property had not been cleaned or deep cleaned in a long while. Dirty floors, cobwebs, thick dust everywhere, mold on the bedroom walls and the air conditioners. The porch lights didn’t work. The toilet did’t flush. The front door lock/latch was broken. We almost left but toughed it out knowing everything was booked due to the MS State football game/family weekend. Limited shower supplies and no hair dryer. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were cheap and flat as pancakes. Overall, horrible experience. I messaged the host, Mary Elizabeth, who responded quickly and apologized. She seemed to know nothing about these issues or the uncleanliness of the property. I sent her the pictures I had taken. She said the guest before us had left a five star review which I find difficult to believe considering the filthiness of this place. I find it really hard to believe that if you’re checking on your property or tell us ‘I will make sure the lights are on for you’ for a late check-in, how you don’t see two months worth of dust accumulated on the fans and a brown floor because it is soooo dirty. Would not recommend. Just filthy!!! The host did refund the cleaning fee we had paid.

Close to Starkville to get into town in 15 minutes but far enough away to feel like you’re out in the country. Very nice stay. Would definitely stay again.
