We had a fantastic 2 day stay! The grounds were beyond spacious, it was safe to walk to the river. The patio is huge with plenty of grills. The pool was clean and cool. I loved that the room had a front and back door.

The biggest selling point about this property for me was the huge, shaded patio in the back of the hotel that faced the river. It was very peaceful, quiet, and had beautiful scenery. The grounds had nice landscaping and huge shade trees with easy access to the river. The rooms were clean and decorated with a theme. The rooms were very functional to store several bags of luggage and coolers out of the way, and had a microwave and fridge.

Comfortable king sized bed, clean room, mini fridge with freezer, microwave, and Keurig. Office woman was kind and helpful during checkout. We bought coal and used a grill to cookout. Swimming pool on site as well. Will be back!

We have stayed here a few times, and it keeps getting better with each stay. The owners are hands on, hard working, and keep adding new amenities and upgrading the landscaping. The lodge is located directly on the Guadalupe River, for easy access to floating the Horseshoe and fishing. Newly added pool, propane griddles, and picnic areas make for an easy day/night of hanging at the lodge. Whitewater amphitheater is a 10 minute walk. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

This is a lovely place to stay. The rooms were very clean, well decorated, and stocked with basic amenities. Easy to find, with a lovely view of the Guadalupe river which is a short walk down a spacious patio area. The staff were all very friendly and eager to make our stay comfortable. Our only negative comment is that the property is located along a well traveled road. Road noises detract from the peaceful surroundings. That said, we’d stay there again.

Property was great, service was great, beds were comfortable, ac was good, location is great. My only two complaints are, room is small, couldn’t find a washer or dryer, and last but not least, the shower water pressure was not good. That kept me from giving five stars.

LOVED the back deck overlooking the river. The room was great except the bathroom. For a man, it’s okay. For women who have to primp it’s awkward. The location and back of the hotel make up for the awkward bathroom though. And it was clean. Internet didn’t work well either.

This was one of the best stays we’ve had in years. Immediately after checking in for our one night stay we looked around and requested a second night and the process was seamless. Wendy greeted me in the office and made check-in and the adjustment so simple. We met Vinny (the maintenance/cleaner) and he was the most polite, helpful and attentive hotel worker we have ever had the pleasure of meeting on a trip. The rooms were cozy, super clean, and the access to the river was an added bonus. Overall, this is a new place we will highly recommend to friends and family & be back over and over, and can’t wait to start planning our next trip!
