Great resort that is family friendly. I traveled with a group of 8 total, one being a child under the age of 7. There were many swimming pool areas. One of which seemed to be warmed, which was nice. There are also many Jacuzzis spread around the swimming pool area which was also nice. The resort has an inflatable bouncy house on the Ocean in shallow waters, which was a great touch for the children and adults. They offered kayaking and paddle boarding with life jackets at no additional cost. The food in the buffet was just OK. The "cuisine" restaurants were a lot better. Be advised, that if you have the all-inclusive, they give you "receipts" to sign. They are not an actual charge, but rather a paper trail for their internal purposes. My husband didnt know this when he went to grab a few drinks at the bar and ended up paying for the drinks thinking he was being charged. Just an FYI. Everyday, they placed snacks in your room at no cost and stocked it with refreshments and beer. This is a great family resort but lacks much entertainment for adults. It is also a bit of a distance from the airport compared to the Hotel Zone hotels, but you know this when you look at it on the map. They do offer shuttle service options to and from the airport, which we took advantage of for decently priced fee. Overall, a great resort.

The ocean view was perfect. Since the hotel has auto black out drapes you can lean over press the button when you wake up and look at the beautiful ocean. The spa was incredible. Expensive but worth it.

What an amazing resort experience! Everything from the food to the service to the rooms was top-notch. Our room was cleaned daily, and one of the best perks was being able to order lunch and drinks right from the pool. The beach is just steps away, and it was well maintained. They cleared the seaweed daily,ñ. We chose the all-inclusive package, and if you're someone who loves to eat and drink (like we do!), it’s 100% worth it. They still provide receipts showing what you would’ve paid without it, and every one of ours said “covered - AI,” which was super reassuring. We had no surprises at checkout. A tip: follow the advice in other reviews and book your dinner reservations early. The restaurants fill up fast. All are great! You can’t go wrong with any of them. I’ve stayed at two other resorts in Cancun, and the food here is the best by far. The steaks are not dry. The food has flavor. The drinks are not watered down. I also loved the free water activities. They offered paddle boards and kayaks, and it was such a fun and easy way to enjoy the water. This is a family resort. There is no nigh lot time entertainment but they do provide an itinerary of pool activities. They play some music on occasions but it’s not a party hotel. Which we didn’t mind at all!! This place is officially on my repeat list.

We have stayed at Villa more than a dozen times and have always been pleased. The only complaint is that they need more lounge chairs around ALL the pool areas as well as the beach. When the resort is anywhere near capacity seating is a real problem at the beach and pool(s) area.

Resort, Staff and Service were all Fantastic!!! They have got to solve the Pool Chair “Saving” issue!!!! You come down to pool at 8:00am and towels and books are everywhere with no people in sight. They need to enforce their own Rules, after an hour REMOVE people belongings so people who are actually at the pool can use the Chairs!!!!!!

Beautiful property. Amazing staff; Benito & David took excellent care of us bringing us things & drinks to make our time by the pool so relaxing. The downside to being poolside was that there weren't any umbrellas for shade for those of us that werent VIP & the VIP's had their spots reserved in advance with yellow towels. Never having been there, we didn't know it was an option or what the cost was for it. There are several dining options, however, there is only one option for breakfast and only a few for lunch; all dinner options needed reservations or you can join the wait list & hope that someone doesn't show up for their reservation. I strongly suggest that you go all inclusive, it's worth the cost. The patio & the suite were both very spacious & very clean with comfortable beds (w/down comforters) and the sofa & chairs were also great. Overall a great place to takea vacation.

We really enjoyed the room. It was very spacious with a king sized bed. Two large bathrooms. Great service. The resort is gorgeous and well maintained. Lots of pools to choose from with lots of palm trees for cover from the heat. Beach was great and despite lots of seaweed washing up on shore, the resort was quick to clean it up multiple times a day! Lots of loungers to choose from including cabanas. Can easily reserve a chair in the morning which was great. Very family friendly. The food was outstanding. The breakfast buffet was incredible. I would come back. Highly recommended.

The balcony was very spacious in the 1 bedroom condo. We enjoyed meals out there as well as the hammock. The condo itself was spacious and decorated well, with a washer/dryer combo which I really appreciated. Take note, this resort is in Punta Sam not Cancun as advertised. The weather was TERRIBLE and we were forced to spend most of our stay in the condo. I noticed little small bugs crawling around on the night stands in the bedrooms. And no, I wasn't eating any food in the bedroom. It wasn't a big deal, as I noticed these little bugs crawling around other areas in the resort. I did what I did with the others, killed them with my shoe and kept it moving. Well, it wasn't until I packed my suitcase that I realized these small bugs were crawling everywhere on my suitcase and throughout. The bellman noticed them as well and said they were small ants and they won't hurt anything. I called down to the manager Carlos and they sent him to my room. He insulted me by stating they don't have bugs and I'm must have brought them with me. It was unbelievable. There are bugs everywhere in Mexico. Between the biting flies, mosquitos and apparently ants, I was insulted. Once I showed my displeasure for being insulted the manager tried to say he wasn't trying to insult me while simultaneously telling me they don't have bugs. All this while I have video of the little bugs crawling throughout my bag which I had to unpack, shake and repack just minutes before leaving for the airport.

The property was very clean and the staff were very attentive. The food and the amenities at the resort were top notch. However, there were a lot of mosquitos in the resort; apparently it was due to the rain. Right behind the property (outside), there’s a residential area that can be a bit noisy.

Our stay was interesting . Beds did not feel comfortable, shower water had a smell, out of our 6 night stay only 1 time we had excellent service and the others was so/so. What really depressed us was the human feces we found on shore and the water everyday. Not fun when you have kids.

Overall satisfied-The only downside during our stay the resort was infested by mosquitoes. Our room had a leak on our first night coming from the AC vent, mosquitoes inside our room every time we ask to service our room-i believe they leave the room open the whole while they were cleaning the room.

We were pleasantly surprised with this property. We booked last minute and didn’t know what to expect. We loved how clean it was and the room set up was perfect for our family of 4. There were not enough chairs near the pool or beach. People were literally waking up at 4:30/5:00 to mark their chairs for the entire day. I can’t see why the staff allows this and I don’t understand why more chairs are not provided. The restaurants were ok but very hard to get reservations for. The food was very good quality. We did have an issue on the beach with human feces which I read afterward seems to been a problem because the island near might be dumping waste. We have stayed on this part of Cancun many times and never encountered it but it does not seem to be a problem with this particular resort it is a problem that happens sometimes when the island does the ocean dirty. Overall I would defiantly recommend this resort. The kids loved the blow up in the ocean and I loved sitting by the pool for the week.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel and would absolutely it! Pros: • The heated pool and multiple Jacuzzis made swimming enjoyable at any time of the day. • The hotel has separate pools for adults, families, and young children, which was great for different preferences. • Room upgrade—we were upgraded to a one-bedroom apartment, which was the best thing ever! We had a stunning ocean view, though the living room was a bit noisy due to the generators in the back. Fortunately, this did not bother the kids Helpful Tips: 1. Take the cargo ship to Isla Mujeres —It’s only $30 per adult round-trip and just a four-minute walk from the hotel. The ship is large, super stable, and you won’t feel the waves at all. It’s a much better experience than the smaller, expensive boats we saw sailing by. 2. Book restaurant before your trip—When we arrived, the earliest available dinner reservation was 9 PM for the rest of our stay. I recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. However, we got lucky by asking in person about cancellations and managed to dine at 7:30 PM one night and 8 PM another night. 3. Timeshare presentation—The hotel offers free gifts for attending a presentation, but it takes around three hours. If you’re not interested, just politely decline—they aren’t pushy at all. 4. Pool chairs go fast!—People reserve poolside chairs by 8 AM, so if you want a good spot, wake up early to claim one. There aren’t enough for the hotel’s capacity.

The property is full of lush greenery. Beautiful But the elevators were out of service in a few areas and the AC in the rooms weren’t working and the ceiling fans only operate on low. The restrooms in the bedrooms don’t have an air vent so your sweaty as soon as you step out the shower.

The air conditioning did not work both days. I stayed there and they would not put me in another room or refund my money or even give me compensation of any sorts. I was also placed next to the water tanks, which were loud all day and night. I would stay away from this property until they get new management.

The property is beautiful. The pools are pristine, and the restaurants boast delicious gourmet food. We were disappointed that our personal hot tub on our balcony did not work during our entire stay. We paid a premium price for the room we had and were not compensated in anyway for this. (we were told we could perhaps have a free night if we booked there again.) We also had trouble upon arrival paying our balance. We tried to use our American Express card and were told that the machines were having trouble processing it in USD. So, we agreed to allow the card to be processed in pesos, and ended up being charged $250 more than the agreed-upon balance owed. We received varying responses regarding this and never had it resolved during our five nights there. So, we filed a dispute upon returning home. It was unusual since we were able to use our American Express card on the property to book excursions in USD. The hotel charges a higher exchange rate, but this was not told to us at the time we agreed to charge the amount in pesos. Still, you would think the amount of pesos would be adjusted to match the balance owed in USD.

The resort is clean, with excellent facilities and convenient rooms. However, the biggest challenge is getting to the resort as they do not provide shuttle service for guests, which I wish they would consider adding. The food is fantastic, with a variety of options to choose from, but booking restaurants can be a challenge. For example, I tried to book the Italian restaurant a day in advance, but it was already full. Make sure to plan well in advance if you want to secure a spot at your preferred dining venue. The rooms are clean, and the service is excellent, but the TV facilities are disappointing. If you have kids or plan to use the TV, note that it’s not a smart TV, and you can’t connect your devices to it. Overall, we had a great stay, and I truly appreciate the service and amenities provided. While the location isn’t the most convenient, the resort offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. I made again, the typical mistake of accepting a mediocre breakfast for listening to a "membership" presentation. Despite telling them we are going to say no to any offer, they said it didn't matter, etc. Well, at the last moment, the inevitable hard faces were shown by the sales team, specially a not very nice supervisor who was impolite. What a bad experience! Because of him I will never return nor recommend any of my relatives or friends to go there. He won! :)

We stayed there for a great week early May but not sure we'd go back. Property, food, staff for the most part were great BUT too many rules!!! that are intrusive and interruptive to my vacation. We pay for AI to be able to come and go as we please and not to be bothered or interrupted by the "business of the resort". The worst one is this "have to sign the bill" rule every time is just plain silly, my signature means nothing to their records or tracking as they ask my room number everywhere (not a problem) so they can get all the info they need and they know we're AI. The only reason I can see is it's just another way to extract more money out of you as there is a TIP line, this was compounded a few times with having to find my server to sign so we could leave the area. I have no problem tipping, so its not that, preferring to tip per round and in cash. Also on checkout I needed the checkout slip before our shuttle could leave, why?? Couldn't get shots in my morning coffee - our waiter admitted he didn't understand English so well - go to the restaurant bar they tell me I have to go through my waiter aargh!!! - the bottle was literally right there can't just give me something I've already paid for without me having to get frustrated about it, it's not a licensing thing as they serve other alcohol.

My wife and I arrived on 4/11/25 and were breath taken by the whole resort. Services were beyond anything I could ever ask for. Additionally, it made us feel like a weight has been lifted and we could breathe and relax. The food was exceptional, the room service was perfect, and overall it was just perfect. We had help from lots of staff members, but the one who stuck out to me was David who over saw the beach area. The one who wore the red shirt. He made our seating experience go smooth every time we showed up. Thank you all for the beautiful experience!

Absolutely incredible! Best. Resort. Experience. Ever. If you are trying to decide where to go for your all-inclusive vacation, look no further. This is the place! From the moment we arrived, we (regular people) were treated like royalty. We were greeted with cold cloths, sparkling wine, and helpful guidance. We were celebrating a milestone birthday, and we communicated that to staff throughout our stay with incredible results. That initial amazing treatment and level of service continued throughout our four-night stay. Every interaction with staff was warm and responsive. Each day brought a new unexpected kindness. Every restaurant did a superb job of recognizing the celebratory event and adding personal flair to our experience. This experience exceeded expectations that we didn't even know existed. We are exceedingly grateful to the management and employees at Villa Del Palmar for making this occasion even more special than we had hoped. Many thanks to all who helped make this such a wonderful experience: housekeeping, wait staff, room service, welcome staff, restaurant workers, front desk, and literally every employee with whom we had the pleasure to interact. The food and property were great. Our biggest issue was trying to get dinner reservations at the different restaurants. We tried 3 weeks in advance and could only confirm 3 for 7 days. Two of the times were ideal for the family 5:30-6pm. Our other reservation wasn't until 9pm. Only restaurant we weren't too impressed with was La Casona. Food was great everywhere else including the room service 😊

Thats means either expedia is false advertising of both expedia and hotel is cheating. I took numbers of guest who were involved this will be in news in few days.

The staff was friendly but not very helpful. The maid came and cleaned out room she took one of the bags that was given to is as part of our stay and nobody would replace it. The front desk acted like they had no idea how to replace it. It is literally a Villa Del Palmar bag they put on your bed on your first day. I also lost dropped my workout gloves on the way from the gym. Someone probably picked it up as they were cleaning. There apparently is no lost and found the front desk said they would try to find it never reported back. My daughter forgot her toothbrush front desk says well go buy one. Im like wow, then when I got a madsage they gave them away for free there. Wouldve been nice to know before i paid $5 at the store. It was overall a nice stay but the front desk and staff are virtually useless when you have questions or needs. Also there is not a lot to do, everything shuts down early the food and drink service to the pool ends at 5pm. Then you have to go to a restaurant.

I want to give this property 5 stars. It's beautiful, it's fun, it feels like its own perfect little escape. But frankly I 3as absolutely outraged by the way we were treated. At least three times I attempted to call to have something minor fixed in the room . Ok, I thought, let it go. However, after spending 90 mins trying every number available on the phone (front desk, bellman, etc.) because three room service number was simply busy no matter what. Is no one working here? I wondered. So at 4 am, I got dressed and walked to the front desk. Yes! People are working. In this case, 3 people were right there at the front desk talking. When I explained that not one line anywhere on the property answers, not only did they not care, they responded with hostility. 'What do you want? We"ll get it from room service". Room svc is not the point. As a person who had a life threatening medical emergency, I thankfully survived, what would have happened if it occur while I was there? The truth is very scary. Not one person on any line anywhere in the hotel was reachable _on several occasions. Knowing how dangerous this, the response I got was rude, hostile, deeply unprofessional. Having traveled around the world, one thing is very consistent. When a classy place makes a mistake, the offer a gesture, and at minimum an apology. Not here.

An incredible stay! The staff was exceptionally friendly, making us feel right at home. This was our first long trip after COVID, and choosing this place made it all worthwhile. Villa del Palmar was an awesome family property. LOTS of families, so if you’re planning on coming to this property w a goal to have a an adult or elevated experience, I’d suggest trying their sister property nextdoor, Garza Blanca. We’re a family of 4 with kids ages 7 and 10, VDP was perfect. We only left the resort 2X for excursions but stayed on property for 7 full days. There are no “clubs” or evening experiences for adults aside from local musicians nightly at an open air stage-that’s at Garza. There’s Legends the sports grill that has a bar frequented by Millennials (40-60 yr olds). There is NOTHING around the property entertainment or restaurant wise and taxis are grossly expensive. (A 10 minute 8 mile ride was $65 USD) You can wait for the bus but it’s inconsistent schedule, often crowded & poor bus stand. Staying w/o doing All-Inclusive is a huge fail. We were all inclusive for the duration of our stay, but on our last we paid out of pocket for the ocean grill, Bites; 4 chicken tenders, a personal pizza & cheeseburger w beer = $74 USD. My biggest disappointment in the experience overall was the inability to personalize. It was a milestone bday trip for me & my husband asked for our suite to decorated, similar to what you see in photos (A towel decoration, rose petals, etc) After speaking to Concierge AND a manager he was refused. The resort was clean - from the rooms to the pool and beach ! The food was good , it just took a while to figure out what worked well for us. The breakfast was 10/10 , sooo many options & kid approved. It was noted to us that we came during a less crowded tourist time (mid August) so just a small tip. This is a more secluded hotel - not in Hotel Zone but you can take taxis around Cancun. If you’re looking for partying this may not be the right fit for you. This is a place to unwind, be with family & friends. We will DEFINITELY be coming back !

From our treatment upon our initial arrival, and the careful time and management our butler Pavel took, we had a splendid time in Punta Sam! The grounds were meticulously kept and were constantly being manicured and perfected in the early mornings. Our room was well kept, and the cleaning service was superb. Restaurants, and the breakfast buffet were good to great, and the kids and wife had a blast at the several pools and many hot tubs! Definitely consider returning!

We arrived excited to start our vacation, but the first thing we encountered was a wait of over six hours to get our room. When they finally assigned it to us, it was still being cleaned, so we had to wait outside with our two children. Rooms and cleanliness Once ready, the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and generally very clean. Amenities were fine and the beds were comfortable. Food and drinks The all-inclusive isn’t really all-inclusive: food options are limited and the buffet is only available for breakfast. There’s no buffet for lunch or dinner, and you have to sign a receipt for every item you consume, which slows everything down. At the steakhouse bar, we encountered some staff who were openly rude, which took away from the experience. Beach and activities The beach is beautiful, but there’s a lot of seaweed and rocky areas, so it’s best to bring water shoes. Daytime activities and nighttime entertainment are quite limited—if you’re looking for constant animation, this is not the place. The best part The Legend restaurant was a highlight: delicious food, excellent service, and a genuinely friendly team. Big thanks to Jorge and the manager for their outstanding attention. Conclusion If you prioritize a clean and comfortable room, the hotel delivers. However, be prepared for long waits, limited food options, and a lack of entertainment. The Legend restaurant and its team are the real strong point, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

My family and I have been to Mexico several times. This is by far our favorite. The resort has so much to offer. Their steakhouse and Italian restaurant are the best. The staff, the food, the quality, and so forth are the best. The pool areas are impeccably attended by the staff. The safety is noticed with how closed everything is relatively to the villas. We did make reservations for the spa, however, everyone we saw coming back from it was satisfied. No complains at all.

What an amazing resort experience! Everything from the food to the service to the rooms was top-notch. Our room was cleaned daily, and one of the best perks was being able to order lunch and drinks right from the pool. The beach is just steps away, and it was well maintained. They cleared the seaweed daily,ñ. We chose the all-inclusive package, and if you're someone who loves to eat and drink (like we do!), it’s 100% worth it. They still provide receipts showing what you would’ve paid without it, and every one of ours said “covered - AI,” which was super reassuring. We had no surprises at checkout. A tip: follow the advice in other reviews and book your dinner reservations early. The restaurants fill up fast. All are great! You can’t go wrong with any of them. I’ve stayed at two other resorts in Cancun, and the food here is the best by far. The steaks are not dry. The food has flavor. The drinks are not watered down. I also loved the free water activities. They offered paddle boards and kayaks, and it was such a fun and easy way to enjoy the water. This is a family resort. There is no nigh lot time entertainment but they do provide an itinerary of pool activities. They play some music on occasions but it’s not a party hotel. Which we didn’t mind at all!! This place is officially on my repeat list.

First time staying here and I was not impressed. Just another resort. The dinning options were good however they only have 1 buffet. This buffet is closed half the time I was there. It was annoying because for lunch I had to either make a reservation or eat from the snack bar. The snack bar did have a few items like salads, tacos, burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings and tenders with fries. Some wraps. For someone that wants to pick her own food I was not so happy. They clean the rooms daily and have a good mini bar and snacks free of charge. I was annoyed by the check I needed to sign every where including the snack bar. This check detailed what we ate at zero cost because its all inclusive but you had to print your name and sign. They do this so you can tip if you dont have cash with you. Of course additional tips are optional but its a bit rude. I wont be going back here, food was a 7/10 and staff was 6/10.

Even though it was all inclusive they wrote bills for each meal and solicited tips. The front desk told me tips were not included in all inclusive. There were no guidelines on tipping, but on our first day I hadn't noticed the tip line the waiter wasn't shy about complaining. After that I tipped everyone, so 7-nights, 3-measl per day family of 6 I ended up leaving $235 in tips just for meals ($5 for buffet and fast food-like meals, $10 for full service and $20 for the 2 ultra gourmet restaurants). Like I said I have no idea if they're all cursing behind me or pleased. If tips were supposed to be any higher than that I'd suggest it get written into the price estimate.

It’s a good property with quality food, rooms, great service & property. We weren’t fans of getting a bill with each order even on al all inclusive plan. It’s for the tip options, but unusual for all inclusive resorts

Good:Property was pretty overall. Pool volleyball was fun. Servers were nice. Bad: No swim up bars. Room never got below 76 degrees! Restaurants were small with few tables so reservations were difficult to secure. Best options on every menu cost extra. Time share push right after check in. Lots of seaweed on beach.

The food and property were great. Our biggest issue was trying to get dinner reservations at the different restaurants. We tried 3 weeks in advance and could only confirm 3 for 7 days. Two of the times were ideal for the family 5:30-6pm. Our other reservation wasn't until 9pm. Only restaurant we weren't too impressed with was La Casona. Food was great everywhere else including the room service 😊

We really enjoyed the room. It was very spacious with a king sized bed. Two large bathrooms. Great service. The resort is gorgeous and well maintained. Lots of pools to choose from with lots of palm trees for cover from the heat. Beach was great and despite lots of seaweed washing up on shore, the resort was quick to clean it up multiple times a day! Lots of loungers to choose from including cabanas. Can easily reserve a chair in the morning which was great. Very family friendly. The food was outstanding. The breakfast buffet was incredible. I would come back. Highly recommended.
