Excellent for the price. Exactly what i needed for a nights stay. NOTE* look at photos and read description prior to booking. This is an older style hotel with doors facing out to the parking lot and there is no elevator. Updated really nicely my wife LOVED the comfort of the beds you literally sink right in. If you like a stiff bed this isn't it. I personally liked that there was no carpet. More hotels need to get this concept. Breakfast was actually quite good. Lots of options from cereals, eggs, buscuits toast, yougarts, bagels, muffins. There were even microwavable burritos and of course the texas shaped waffles you make yourself. I would definitely stay again.

The staff's customer service was outstanding! They were beyond helpful with the accommodations we needed. The rooms were very clean and nicely remodeled. The entire hotel is updated and nice. Don't let the door opening to the outside trick you; the area was very safe and well-lit. Also, it was very affordable. I will definitely stay again when I come back to Port Author.

First, I wish I had known out was a MOTEL hot a hotel. I went to HOTS.com not MOTELS.com. I am a single disabled woman that was traveling alone and to have no assistance with luggage was difficult. For me to drive up to my door (if there was a parking spot available) unload and try to carry my things through a parking in one trip, then put everything down to unlock the door wasn't safe. I furthermore, couldn’t choose the higher floors because there was no elevator so I had to stay on the parking lot level, again, not safe for a disabled woman alone. The TV was only ROKU and no local tv just old movies on free ROKU tiles or put in your own password which is quite unsecured as well. Shower/tub barely had pressure and you couldn’t take a bath because they removed the stopper. Gave up and went to sleep. The room was clean and comfortable, that’s the best part of my stay.

The lobby was nice and the person who checked us in was okay. The rooms have exterior doors and there is no elevator. You have to walk outside around the building and carry all you stuff up and down the stairs and along the exterior walkway.

Alex was a good manager make sure everything was good even help me with the last change ups the room was decently clean had a lot of humidity moisture there was some stains on the lamp in the iron look like some type of stuff behind the headboard of the bed other than that it was an OK stay I’ll go again breakfast ok too the gym was extremely HOT my wife said it smelled of mold i checked it out it seems like there no where for the humidity to go no fans some of the equipment was down too prices for snacks were posted nice with a sign employees were kind some guest were kinda of sketchy put for the most part the parking lot was cameras and well lite id come again they were also reasonably priced

My children plazon the floor in their PJs ( which was majority white) and they were black when they when they were ready for bed. Floors had not been mopped. I wiped toilet seat with bleach and it also had brown reddish colored r in towel.

Friendly welcome but the room was very damp 💨 and even wet on the floor. Not a nice experience. But the manager was very friendly and even gave us fresh water to go!

The place is nice, clean, and newly remodeled, but unfortunately they have mold issues. I brought up the smell to the front desk and they offered to change me to another room upstairs but it still have the same mold odor. I could get my money back so I decided to just sleep there for only that night. In the morning while I was packing up, I saw where the mold was coming from. The mold was coming from the vent up on the ceiling. It was horrendous and very visible. I hope they fix the problem because otherwise the rooms are very good for the price. I would not go back due to their mold issues and the place does feel a little sketchy because of the visitors it attracts. Next time I’ll pay more instead. Lesson learned.

Wifi was horrible. Couches stiff. They cleaned the room but didn’t replace used hand towels, they just folded it and put it back on the shelf. I could see the dirt from when I washed my hands the day before on the towel I thought was a new one. Tissue box only had 3 in there, the next day when they “fixed” it up, the tissue box was still empty. Toilet paper wasn’t restocked either.

This was a very nice suite, set up like a one bedroom apartment. The bed was very comfortable, nice big bathroom, and a full kitchen. The kitchen is where I have issues. There is not a pot, pan, or utensil. No silverware, plates, etc. The kitchen is basically useless unless you import your own kitchen goods. That's not very convenient when you're traveling for work like I do. Also, no coat hangers in the closet. So weird. I asked at the front desk and they said they figured pots and pans would disappear if they provided them.

Really nice suite in a newish looking hotel in excellent condition. The room was quiet and comfortable but I would have liked a little softer mattress. The suite has a full kitchen, but my biggest complaint is that there wasn't a pot, pan, dish, cup, silverware, or utensils to be had. I like a room that allows me to cook so I don't have to eat junk every night but I'm not sure what the thought was to not stock the room with at least minimal stuff. It did have an air fryer but if I cooked I'd have to eat with my fingers.

Pros: the room was clean and bed comfortable. Cons: The TV in my room didn’t work - nor the internet. Though the front desk eventually helped in connecting to an alternate Wifi, no Wifi instructions are provided/printed at check-in. Water pressure was less than average.

Beautiful accommodations. Biggest complaint…the water pressure was terrible and they had some young girls running all around making noises but thankfully it stopped at a decent time. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Just stayed one night. Check in process was easy. Upgraded our room because the one we booked was sold out. Way better experience than the last one we had in Port Arthur at Days Inn. Great customer service all around! Room was very clean. Once we arrived to our room we received a call from the manager to make sure we found everything okay. Overall we felt safe and will stay again. Loved the budget friendly rates! Came to visit my daughter in college and I’m glad I didn’t have to pay $200 a night to stay at a decent place.

when I arrived I was asked for a CC and not told what it was for and because there is a mandatory fee that is actually a security deposit and they didn't even know how much my card would be charged. The wall paper was falling down in the fitness center and they didn't have the single king I booked so I had to take a double for the same price.

The staff's customer service was outstanding! They were beyond helpful with the accommodations we needed. The rooms were very clean and nicely remodeled. The entire hotel is updated and nice. Don't let the door opening to the outside trick you; the area was very safe and well-lit. Also, it was very affordable. I will definitely stay again when I come back to Port Author.

Stayed here many times, almost always the cheaper option but always nice and clean. my only complaint is there system or the way they designate the rooms, twice I had reserved single King room and reserved a week ahead and when I got there someone else got the room assigned to them and got stuck with 2 small beds.

Amazing stay! We absolutely loved everything about Clarion Pointe Port Arthur-Beaumont South. The manager was very attentive to details and providing a quality facility for his guests. A very clean home away from home.

I did not realize this was a motel, with the room doors opening to the outside. I'm not a fan. It didn't smell great either. I did not feel as safe here as I have in other hotels in this area.

So this is close to the highway so expect cars sound every so often. The area is safe, clean, well taken care of. Breakfast was good with a small options. Room I sayed was really clean. In the feature I will be staying here again.

My last rating was poor but I gave it another chance and what an improvement. The room, bathroom, refrigerator, microwave was very clean. Used towels were changed everyday and the bed made up with clean sheets. The trash cans were emptied with new lining. The breakfast was very good, with enough different (hot and cold) items to satisfy all the occupants. One dislike was the bath towel I first took from the rack it had hair with black fuzz, all the other towel were usable. I would have given an excellent rating if it wasn't for the one bath towel. I have made reservations to stay there again. If it continues to keep up the quality I experience, they have a repeat customer and excellent rating.

Dislikes: 1. Poor cleanliness, paper left over from the last occupant. 2. The lamps base were rusty and one lamp didn't work. 3. The Refrigerator internal wasn't clean it had spills. 4. Hotel staff was very kind and accommodated us very well. Breakfast was great!!! Hotel rooms are very modern and up to date. Like most other hotels, there was a few things we noticed in the room like the dirty bathroom door handle but overall it was decent for the price. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was super clean and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. The bed was comfortable & I always check for bed bugs with a hair dryer & thankfully there weren’t any critters. The breakfast had a good selection of items to choose from. Alex was especially friendly and even gave directions to avoid construction. I plan to make this my hotel whenever Im back in town.

Beautiful accommodations. Biggest complaint…the water pressure was terrible and they had some young girls running all around making noises but thankfully it stopped at a decent time. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.
