Bar didn't appear to be open an no menu available. Carpets were stained and threadbare. Pool area very over grown and not enough sunbeds to use. Pool was very rarely in the sun so not ready usable. This is by no means a 4 star hotel so very over priced for what was available. Area outside was not the nicest until you got to the main road and then the old town.

Excellent hotel. Right by the railway station but only about five/six minutes’ walk to the Centro Storico. Very quiet. Big and spacious rooms. Staff very polite and helpful. Big selection for breakfast. Pool and seating area outside ideal for a swim or just to sit and read. Absolutely recommended.

Hotel is not so gränd but very tired, definitely in need to some tlc. Pool area did not have enough loungers so was unable to enjoy this feature.

This is not a Grand hotel in the sense of the Danieli or Excelsior, however, that is probably because they choose not to have a restaurant, even though they put out a sumptuous breakfast and have a commercial kitchen and plenty of staff. Our room had filthy old green carpeting, but we noticed in the long hallway that some rooms have modern wood flooring, which is much more sanitary I don't know why we weren't given the upgrade since we are hotel gold members. The only other issue was the parking which we tried to reserve well in advance, but was unavailable, which was disappointing since we have a brand new Mercedes-Benz . The staff was very pleasant and the bathroom was spacious and had the best shower of our trip. Overall, it was good value for the money and it's probably one of the better hotels in Lecce.

The Hotel is in poor conditions. Torn and stained carpets, inroom refrigerator didn't work, AC didn't work, slow/clogged drains, bad coffee. Hard to find parking. (Reserve with anticipation). On the plus side... the "hotel" is about a 7 minute walk to the old city entrance. Area feels safe. It is also a block away from Lecce's train station. Therefore it has a great location, but the hotel is far from 4 stars.

Location was far from centre. The Grand Hotel was not grand. Elevator out order the entire stay, no towels, carpet dirty throughout hotel, furniture stained,; the hotel may have been wonderful at one time but needs an update. Only thing the was grand was the pool.

Déception pour cet hôtel avec fort potentiel, proche de la ville et avec un parking (à réserver). Le cadre est certes vieillissant mais cet hôtel manque d’un réel entretien. Les moquettes sont tachées et très sales dans les parties communes, la robinetterie fonctionne mal et éviers bouchées et l’odeur dans la salle de bain est infecte. La climatisation ne fonctionne pas et le wifi de manière discontinue. Le petit déjeuner est correct et le personnel du petit déjeuner souriant. L’accueil est vraiment médiocre avec un réel manque d’accueil et d’empathie. On ne nous a même pas demandé comment était notre séjour au moment du check out ! Un comble pour une réception…. There is no doubt that the hotel used to be beautiful. While the room was clean, the hallways leading to the rooms are completely run down and dirty. Many of the hallway sensor lights don’t work so you are walking down very long dark hallways to get to your room. This is fine during the day but it is very very dark at night. I asked the front desk for 2 glasses and they were unable to give me anything to pour my wine into. Wifi did not work at all. Shower was great but had a leak and created a massive pool of water all over the bathroom floor.

Checking with Hotel.com, the hotel was supposed to have an onsite parking. Upon arrival we were told all parking spots were taken, so we had to find a parking spot on the street. The hotel itself was very dated with dirty carpets. The shower door was missing and fridge was not working. There was a big step right by entrance, my hunand tripped over carrying the luggages and hurt his leg. The room had a very strong odor, smelling like Lysol. The bedding had a different strong perfumed smell which was not pleasant. On the plus side, the room was large with a large bathoom and closet and breakfast was really great.

Breakfast was incredible and plentiful. Fresh fruit and vegetables with Salento products. Room was spacious but a bit outdated. However that is the style of the hotel. We could not use the pool due to bad weather but the pool area seemed nice.

We had a 3 night stay and booked 2 rooms - 1 for my wife and I, and another for our 2 teenage boys. The Hotel as expected had a nice old world feel to it and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good, continuously replenished and offered plenty of choice. The pool was a welcome benefit given the heat of the August sun. Alas problems with the showers in both rooms and the poor service to get them repaired is what leaves us underwhelmed by our stay. We arrived late on the first night and the next morning found our shower to be completely non-functional. The shower in the boys room, worked but would not stay in place so had to be held in your hand while you showered. The first morning we all had to endure this ritual. We reported the issues to reception that morning. On our return in the late afternoon, no action had been taken and we again reported it before leaving for dinner. Arriving back we found that the problems still not had been addressed and we made do with the broken fixture in the boy's room once more. The issues were finally resolved only after our second day. Faults happen and repairs are a common thing in hotels, however it was the slowness to respond, the fact that we received no acknowldgement of the delays or an apology on leaving that really spoiled this stay for us. Unfortunately providing 2 rooms in poor state of repair then taking 2 days to react and repair is not what one would expect from what claims to be a 4 star hotel.

Déception pour cet hôtel avec fort potentiel, proche de la ville et avec un parking (à réserver). Le cadre est certes vieillissant mais cet hôtel manque d’un réel entretien. Les moquettes sont tachées et très sales dans les parties communes, la robinetterie fonctionne mal et éviers bouchées et l’odeur dans la salle de bain est infecte. La climatisation ne fonctionne pas et le wifi de manière discontinue. Le petit déjeuner est correct et le personnel du petit déjeuner souriant. L’accueil est vraiment médiocre avec un réel manque d’accueil et d’empathie. On ne nous a même pas demandé comment était notre séjour au moment du check out ! Un comble pour une réception…. Nous ne reviendrons pas dans cet établissement.

Accueil très bien. Le réceptionniste parlait français donnant des bons adresses des restaurants. 10 minutes du centre. Chambre et salle de bain spacieuse. L’hôtel plus très jeune mais il y toujours des stucks au plafond, très joli.

Excellent hotel. Right by the railway station but only about five/six minutes’ walk to the Centro Storico. Very quiet. Big and spacious rooms. Staff very polite and helpful. Big selection for breakfast. Pool and seating area outside ideal for a swim or just to sit and read. Absolutely recommended.

Great location and building however several minor issues culminated in irritation and disappointment.. no plugs in sinks, batteries low in Tv control ,kettle and mugs but no spoons tea sugar not replaced.Last morning a lot of breakfast choices not available. No croissants lady staff member very rude..Hard to comment on staff 2 in breakfast. No real interaction with us at reception

We had a 3 night stay and booked 2 rooms - 1 for my wife and I, and another for our 2 teenage boys. The Hotel as expected had a nice old world feel to it and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good, continuously replenished and offered plenty of choice. The pool was a welcome benefit given the heat of the August sun. Alas problems with the showers in both rooms and the poor service to get them repaired is what leaves us underwhelmed by our stay. We arrived late on the first night and the next morning found our shower to be completely non-functional. The shower in the boys room, worked but would not stay in place so had to be held in your hand while you showered. The first morning we all had to endure this ritual. We reported the issues to reception that morning. On our return in the late afternoon, no action had been taken and we again reported it before leaving for dinner. Arriving back we found that the problems still not had been addressed and we made do with the broken fixture in the boy's room once more. The issues were finally resolved only after our second day. Faults happen and repairs are a common thing in hotels, however it was the slowness to respond, the fact that we received no acknowldgement of the delays or an apology on leaving that really spoiled this stay for us. Unfortunately providing 2 rooms in poor state of repair then taking 2 days to react and repair is not what one would expect from what claims to be a 4 star hotel.

Location was far from centre. The Grand Hotel was not grand. Elevator out order the entire stay, no towels, carpet dirty throughout hotel, furniture stained,; the hotel may have been wonderful at one time but needs an update. Only thing the was grand was the pool.

Bar didn't appear to be open an no menu available. Carpets were stained and threadbare. Pool area very over grown and not enough sunbeds to use. Pool was very rarely in the sun so not ready usable. This is by no means a 4 star hotel so very over priced for what was available. Area outside was not the nicest until you got to the main road and then the old town.

The Hotel is in poor conditions. Torn and stained carpets, inroom refrigerator didn't work, AC didn't work, slow/clogged drains, bad coffee. Hard to find parking. (Reserve with anticipation). On the plus side... the "hotel" is about a 7 minute walk to the old city entrance. Area feels safe. It is also a block away from Lecce's train station. Therefore it has a great location, but the hotel is far from 4 stars.

In its former glory, as the railway hotel, this would have been the go-to accommodation for many Travellers and an overnight stay a normal thing to do. The opulence of the Grand Hotel at Lecce would have wowed the guests and there would have been a constant topping and doing of waiters and staff. There would have been a proper restaurant and kitchen serving up nice meals with local produce and the guests would have gone to bed without ever having to leave the hotel. Now, however, after the ravages of COVID and the various lockdowns that followed, the kitchen only operates for breakfast and the restaurant is a mere memory. Who knows? Staff were fantastic, really helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing. No restaurant for dinner unfortunately but it's only a few minutes walk from the town. Pool was lovely but needed more loungers and umbrellas

The hotel's greatest asset is the lovely pool area and large, comfortable rooms. If I had to point out one small thing, there are far too few sunbeds by the pool. A few parasols would also increase the value of the area. Another positive thing is definitely the friendly staff. Housekeeping was always in a good mood and Veronica was a little star at breakfast. We would love to come back.
