Super 8 by Wyndham Morganton

Very old run down property. The wrecking ball would be a great thing for this property!

An older property. It was clean, staff friendly, and close to restaurants.

Big caution!! Super 8 and Baymont are on the same property. Pay the extra $5-10 and use the Baymont. Two weeks ago we stayed at the Baymont. It was very nice. This week we decided to stay at the Super 8 and save $5. Big mistake. First, the non smoking room had been smoked in. Then the attendant couldn't find an acceptable king room, then found one in a dark hallway. The room was not very clean. It didn't look like the carpet had been vacuumed or cleaned for some time. The grout around the tub was moldy. Buyer beware. The price at both hotels is similar. Avoid the Super 8.

The room I chose online was not the room they gave me due to my dog. There’s no pet area on site. The room itself was dirty, holes in walls around baseboards, paint peeling in bathroom and just looked like it was under construction. When I asked front desk how long they had been under construction they said it had been completed for over a year. I will not go back & do not recommend..

We booked a smoking room only to find that they didn't have any. The property was under construction so there was constant noise. The floor of the bathroom area was covered in some sort of oil and was slick and dangerous the entire time. We tried to wipe it up but it was futile. The parking lot was difficult to navigate as parts of it are raised and there are barrier poles driven into certain parts. We had to rive backwards through half of the parking lot to get out.

Nice.balance of cheap and upscale...new granite vanity and rusty shower drain.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! There was mold on the ceiling in the shower, water pressure was like dancing in the rain, no coffee pot in the room, no ice bucket. Tub would not plug up to use so my habdicap husband had to sit in the tub with the shower on to wash. I usually love staying at the super 8 motels when traveling for my daughters rodeo. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! People had grills outside the rooms GRILLING!

Dead bugs all over, stained pillows and sheets, dirty toilet, and ROACHES!

Everything was fine. Very clean room and the breakfast was nice also.

toilet paper was stuck in a hole in the bathroom wall! cobwebs behind the bathroom door. stains on the bedspread and linens. Terrible experience. Many people hanging around the outside of the front the the hotel - didn't feel safe.

Not clean very loud showered halfway work only first checked in our first room they was someone in the room already or it didn't get clean but the give another room but wasn't non smoking so it smells really bad

Dirty rooms sheets weren’t washed, cigarette burns on the bedspread and carpet, room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I demanded a refund and they refused

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! There was mold on the ceiling in the shower, water pressure was like dancing in the rain, no coffee pot in the room, no ice bucket. Tub would not plug up to use so my habdicap husband had to sit in the tub with the shower on to wash. I usually love staying at the super 8 motels when traveling for my daughters rodeo. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! People had grills outside the rooms GRILLING!

It was supposed to be Jon smoking room. It smelled terrible. They would not change my room or offer anything. They just sprayed the room with something and turned the AC on. And claimed that they did not have a sense of smell so they could not do anything about it. Towels were filthy. Too dirty to take shower. This property should be condemned and demolished.

Took 3 hours to get che jed in. Staff had to restart computer multiple times. Owner had to call to verify information. Toliet did not work in first room, 2nd room horrible horrible smell, mold growing in fridge, customer service horrible.

It didn’t have a chair to sit on so you could work at the desk

Great place to stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms, well priced, comfortable beds, good location. I’d recommend the hotel.

The parking lot was difficult to navigate as parts of it are raised and there are barrier poles driven into certain parts. We had to rive backwards through half of the parking lot to get out.

Too close to the road

It was very comfortable here. Rosha in and Tracy were exceptional at the desk and very pleasant and respectful. The room was clean. It was disappointing that there was no variety or change of breakfast menu. Stayed more than a week and wasn’t happy that everyday I had the same breakfast to eat. No change. Anyway everything else was great. Would return but definitely bring some breakfast to have my own variety.

No breakfast. Has a reservation for a king bed, only had double beds when checked in. We checked in about 10 minutes after making the reservation. I was charged a $3 “fee” and $100 refundable deposit that, if I get it back, will take up to 10 days. That is unnacceptable. I’ve never had to pay a deposit and not get it back immediately upon checkout, or it not even get charged at time of departure. Get in the room, and the TV volume didn’t work. Took 30-45 minutes to resolve that issue. Overall, I will not use this again.

The staff, price and conditions of the room and facilities are really great. Everyone is always really friendly.

Excellent service from the staff

I am a huge fan of Wyndham Hotels, and I rarely give bad reviews, but the Wyndham folks may need to reconsider their affiliation with this one. When checking in, I was told that in addition to our reserved/pre-paid room there would be an additional "service fee" of $6.00, and a "Safety Fee" of $100.00. This sort of thing needs to be advertised up front, even if reimbursed later. Upon entering, the room looked decent...The art prints with the Super 8 logo stamped on the upper right were a classy touch...There was a strong, musky odor, a half-full foam cup was left on the bedside table and the carpet looked as if it had not been vacuumed because there was dirt and debris everywhere. The bedding had obvious stains and/or spills on the sheets and skirting. The towels had stains (some looked like old blood) on them. The bathroom door strike-plate was broken away from the jamb as if it had been kicked in, so the door would not close. The tub downspout was pretty cool because it was so loose it could be rotated to direct water in any direction. Someone was kind enough to leave a used bar of soap in the shower so we wouldn't have to open another one. The "Continental Breakfast" consisted of a juice machine with flooded drain pan, a coffee machine, a half empty acrylic case offering white bread and one type of muffin, and an empty refrigerator. If you are only looking for somewhere to pass out, this might be your place. Otherwise, not so much. Do better, Wyndham.

The front desk guy is amazing. He was helpful caring polite and accommodating. I recommend.

After a long day of travel and hiking my husband and I checked into the Super 8. I was exhausted. Miguel was an incredible front desk attendant. I was exhausted and Miguel was so incredibly kind, professional, compassionate, and composed when I wasn’t. He got me checked in quickly and really didn’t deserve to deal with me at that stage I was in. Super guy. The room was dirtier than what I expected. My husband and I travel a lot and we’ve stayed at Super 8s before. This was the dirtiest by far. The bathroom wall was deteriorating (chunks missing) along with the wall by the bed. Regarding the bed I thought it felt fine! Again, we’ve stayed at Super 8s and generally have a decent experience.

When I arrived, I was told that I had reserved an accessible room (I did not) and that neither accessible room was available and I had to pay an extra $20 to stay in another room. I was also told I should have called in advance to change rooms, which is ridiculous since I didn't know the accessible rooms they claimed I had booked were taken. Clearly this makes no sense and there is some issue between Travelocity and the hotel. I just payed the $20 since I had no other options, but this is unacceptable in several different ways.

The beds have stains on them, the towels aswell. The lady at the front desk had a attitude. Whenever you pay for the room from Hotels.com or etc. just know there is also another $100 deposit you have to pay when you check in.

The room andobby smelled of old smoke and something else I can't explain. People fighting in the parking lot and extremely uncomfortable environment.

I enjoyed my stay because I had a clean safe room environment for my kids. It’s also work distance. It’s also walking distance eating distance and the staff took care of us very well very nice. Very manageable appreciate them. I will give them all five stars and I will stay again.

Breakfast was basic, but not very healthy.

Everything was fine. Very clean room and the breakfast was nice also.

Nice stay overall. Good for family stay. Stayed for a 2 night stay. Breakfast included. Value for money
