Everything was excellent. Variety of restaurants, and we ate in all 3 of them, was great. Interior of Crystal Room could use an update. Very accommodating to our personal requests in Mirabelle and Adele. Housekeeping excellent. Overall great stay and perfect location.

The hotel was spotless and the staff were very nice. When we arrived there was a woman screaming in the lobby. Additionally the gym was new yet had a must order and down in the basement. It was called a spa yet not a spa. Breakfast beautiful and delicious as was the night lounge upstairs

The roof top dining and bar was exquisite. The view spectacular. The service top notch. Very much enjoyed the location and setting. Easily walkable from the Spanish steps and plenty of shopping options. Walked all the way to the Colosseum and back (5 miles), still a nice walk and lots of interesting sites along the way. The staff helped us navigate so it really was no problem!

Having stayed in many hotels across the world, Hotel Splendide was still able too provide the wow factor. Beautiful room, well appointed, with every amenity. Service was beyond great - when the doorman remembers your name it's a positive sign. Location wise, easy walk to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, and close to Spagna metro station. Roof top bar is to die for - not cheap but worth it for the impeccable service, and staggering views of the city skyline. The restaurant is top class and clearly a Rome go-to place to eat. This hotel makes it into my all time favourite top 10.

This hotel feels luxurious. The lobby has gorgeous decor, beautifully detailed marble floors, and wonderful flower arrangements. The prestige room we stayed in (418) was decorated to the nines and the bathroom was outstanding. The staff were welcoming and attentive, providing excellent service. We enjoyed the rooftop bar, Adele, which offers a beautiful view of the city. Although in a good area, the walk to the hotel would be uphill from Rome City Centre so we found it to be a little more remote than to our liking. The hotel and our room smelled a little musty and the carpets in the main hallways are flat brown and need to be upgraded to something more colourful but overall the hotel is beautiful. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Visited late Sept. 2023. While at Hotel Splendide Royal my husband and I had a exceptionally satisfying experience. The hotel itself was very clean, and visually appealing. Our spotless and cozy room felt more like being at an expensive retreat. After 10 hours of flying, the comfortable bed was a godsend. We awoke refreshed and restored. The morning breakfast buffet is worth the extra charge. There was a wide variety of tasty selections of meats, eggs, salads, cereals, pastries and fresh breads to choose from. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. Their attention to customer service far surpassed our expectations. We felt pampered. My husband and I highly recommend this hotel and we will gladly stay again for our next Roman visit.

Only negatives is the rooms were a bit small, only one tiny closet and not nearly enough room to put our clothes. also when checking out, the automatically added large tip to the bill, and only because I looked and asked did they tell me what it was. My favorite hotel in Rome! Everyone makes you feel completely comfortable and is incredibly helpful with a smile. Beds are like sleeping on clouds. Even the smaller category rooms are nicely sized. The building is beautiful, a small palazzo with unique decor that is incredibly classy. Can’t say enough about how helpful and kind the staff are in every way.

Amazing hotel if you're looking for a quiet place to get away from the Rome hustle and bustle. We stayed in the terrace room and found out that none of their rooms have a city view,.. so if your looking for a city view, the only place is on the top floor at the restaurant, which is by far the nicest view.

The hotel itself it’s incredibly beautiful, with luxury touches and noble marbles wherever you look. The bell boys are impeccable, always with a warm smile and ready to help with luggage, opening the doors or calling a cab. The front desk staff is as attentive, with great restaurants suggestions. The room is spacious, with great beds and luxury linens. I just had higher hopes for the breakfast, which was a bit limited, mostly in healthier options, and without a hot menu to choose from aside the buffet. The location is unbeatable, close to amazing restaurants, shops and few steps away from Via Veneto, Trevi and the Piazza di Spagna

Unfortunately, at the reception, we received a room on the first floor with windows to a busy street, where we were disturbed by the traffic of cars... Unpleasant...Further above us, RECONSTRUCTION of part of the hotel was taking place - construction work, again very unpleasant. When we requested a change of room, we were offered a room in the courtyard hotel. A negative experience with the front desk manager who was not willing to deal with our matter. What surprised us was that they practically do not know your system. Hotels memeber, I was especially surprised that when we were at the reception, we expected, as a gold member of your program, a significantly better attitude of all members of the reception. I would like to appreciate the wonderful view from the 8th floor restaurant and the excellent service from all members of this restaurant…

Absolutely fantastic stay in Rome. The staff was some of the most friendly and welcoming I’ve ever experienced. Everyone spoke English well, and knew us by our names. They had our room ready hours early and met some unique requests we had. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Large in size, elegant in style and well appointed. The bed was super comfortable and the AC worked phenomenally well. The breakfast was well done and very convenient. Easy in and easy out. The covered rooftop was a nice place for an aperitivo (although it rained heavily the night we went up there). Mirabelle was one of the best meals we’ve had. Michelin star dining in an extravagantly beautiful dining room. Best and most attentive service we have ever had dining. The location was perfect and quiet. Minutes from the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. 25 minutes to the colosseum and Roman forum. Quick trip to Vatican City by car or taxi. Overall, 5 Stars and would highly recommend if you’re looking for an upscale boutique hotel in Rome.

We booked this hotel based on its affiliation with “Leading Hotels of the World,” but the experience did not reflect that standard. The first room we were given was extremely outdated — old furniture, noisy air conditioning, and an overall worn feel. Given we were paying nearly $900 per night, we asked to change rooms. The second room was said to be refurbished, and while some elements were newer, the mattress was clearly not. It felt at least 20 years old, making it difficult to get any decent sleep. There was also a strong, unpleasant smell in the room, suggesting it hadn’t been used in a while. Breakfast, which was included, was well below expectations — closer to a 3-star hotel in quality and selection. Limited variety and lackluster presentation. The only two positives were the location and the well-known brand, but sadly, the hotel doesn’t live up to either in terms of experience. Would not stay here again or recommend until major improvements are made.

Was looking forward to this stay for a long time. Spent more money than we wanted to to get a “VIP” room. Upon arriving to the hotel, we entered our room and noticed an ant infestation filling the main entryway and front living room. Took management 35 minutes to mediate and employee sprayed the entire room and then blamed ants on welcome sweets they left for us. We chose to valet our car (60 euros per day) and following day needed to grab a few items we forgot. Scheduled with front desk for car to be brought at 8am only to receive two calls from bellhop at 7:20 & 7:25 demanding me to come retrieve my belongings since car was there and I was delaying them returning. Forget the fact that I scheduled for 8am, I quickly get dressed and head down only to get yelled at by the valet employee in the middle of the street, which I did not appreciate. We spent a lot of money to stay at the hotel and didn’t feel like a valued customer. Management was made aware of the situation and how much I didn’t appreciate it and I was told they “handled” it but only because I asked. Horrible experience.

I only rate this hotel a B because I have stayed at their sister hotel in Paris an it is an amazing property with A+ services. And I certainly believe they could do better! Although this property is beautiful, the service is not consistent. The gentlemen who work the front desk are attentive and welcoming but the women are not. That said, I had a good stay and enjoyed the ambiance at Adele.

Nice hotel with great service in a safe and quiet location off the beaten path. Very clean, a lot of attention to detail. We would definitely go back when in Rome again and would recommend it with the following caveats: if you plan to walk from and back to the hotel to visit the central core be aware that it is a tough walk back uphill especially after a hearty meal and drinks! Be prepared to call a taxi. Secondly, when we checked out, it was pointed to us that the hotel had taken the liberty of adding to our bill an extra 45 euros or so for the service for every day we stayed there, telling us that we had the option to remove or change it. The service was excellent and professional but we definitely felt put on the spot which was not a good feeling. We have stayed in many hotels and this a first for us.

My wife and I spent three nights wonderful nights at the Splendide Royal The service from all staff was amazing but I would like to give a special shout out to Ivan who was amazing and so helpful. The rooms are super lux with great beds and bathrooms The hotel is well located and all the sites and shops are within easy walking distance although our room remained well insulated from and traffic noise. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in the centre of the Eternal City

Recently stayed for four nights. Beautiful refurbished property. This was our second time staying at this hotel. Staff were truly exceptional. View from breakfast room looking out over Borghese Gardens and St. Peter's was magnificent and a great way to start each day. Hotel is a short five minute walk from the Spanish steps but avoids the awful crowds and noise of that location.

Really smashing team, always courteous and incredibly helpful. Lovely rooms with well appointed bathrooms and supply of toiletries. Only improvement that could be made to room would be the inclusion of tea and coffee making facility (though the room had the best stocked mini bar I’ve seen in a while). Hotel location was good - close enough to walk to principal sights but far enough to feel calm and quiet. Good eating options nearby too. Hotel was ok, breakfast very poor and no mention of needing long trousers on the booking site or hotel information which meant we couldn’t attend the Roof Top Bar, and another restaurant. Only reason I booked this was for the Roof Top and being a 5 Star Hotel - which it definitely wasn’t. The Carpet on the step down to Breakfast was manky and ripped/frayed on the edge which made it a trip hazard!!!

Overall, a clean luxury hotel with excellent service. Exactly as advertised. The bar and restaurant are a little spendy. Dinner for two with a nice bottle of wine was >450 euro, but the food is excellent and the views are amazing. Be sure to make a reservation so you can be seated outside. Breakfast was also first class. It's worth including in your rate.

This is a beautiful retrofitted property whose staff is incredibly gracious and friendly. I bumped the staff and service stars from excellent to good because of uneven housekeeping service which removed a robe and bidet towels from one of our rooms on day two of a three night stay. The breakfast buffet is pleasant enough, but The Mirabelle Restaurant is exhorbitantly priced relative to the quality of the food served. The prices are equally mind-bending at the sky bar Adele which does, however, offer a beautiful 360 view of Rome.
