It is a beautiful hotel. It was clean, spacious and quiet. It has great amenities, nice pool and hot tub, it also has fire pits outfront which are great at night to sit next to. Parking was $20 a night. That was a surprise. We didnt know about that before check-in.

This is a cool property but not what I would consider a top tier hotel. When we checked in there was only one person working the desk so we waited for a significant amount of time. Even though you pay to park there is zero valet parking. Parking also was not next to where our room was so we had to unload all of our belongings and then park the car. Felt very hillbilly like to have to make multiple trips since we also couldn’t find a luggage cart anywhere and here was zero bell hop. When we went to the pool…. The hot tub was out of order and there were zero towels. After going to the front desk we were told they were going to bring some towels. After a while towels were brought but if you have a pool you need to be on top of having towels.

Very busy line at check in, the hotel has awful parking, lots of empty handicap spaces near rooms and absolutely no parking anywhere near our room had to walk around an entire building and two floors to get to 3rd floor! Make sure to ask about proximity from parking to your room when staying here! Called front desk for a blanket because my daughter was cold and they never brought it. Hot tub stopped working didn’t fix until late the next day it was cold and dirty looking water. Front desk doesn’t answer phones because they’re so busy. Room was comfortable enough, dining was good at the bar but they need to do better on parking and hire more staff!

Computer system error upon check-in. Staff communication was adequate. Needed a key card to access pool/fitness area but due to system error was not able to get it. Forced into needing an escort to room and other areas everytime was frustrating and time consuming.

The say was really good the air conditioning felt amazing as well as the showers weren’t a long wait for hot comforting showers!! The pool felt nice not too cold but the sun kept it warm, disclaimer the pool isn’t heated. Only the hot tub 😆😆, the friendless of staff always felt inviting and walking around the property felt comforting and calming.

We checked out after an hr of being there . Room smelled like smoke , I have children with me , found dirty cups under the bed , the pool is dirty , spa is green , after letting the front desk know that we will not be staying there and checking out . We were told bc we already checked in we will not be getting a refund . DO NOT STAY HERE .

There was a huge daddy long leg spider above coffee carafe. I called front desk and someone came and got it in a white towel. Then I was afraid spiders probably in other parts of room , since the spider and web in plain sight. Went to run bath water and button to switch to bath from shower was stuck. Called front desk again and maintenance man came and agreed stuck. But he got button to work. We were there for 1 night stay, ahead of my surgery, the next morning. The top right window has fog on inside it. I booked room 3 to 4wks ahead. Room seemed to be ignored for repairs that are obvious. Checkin took very long time. Contactless checkin wasnt avail )

Came here last minute, the room was renovated up to date! Bathroom was clean, bedroom was really comfortable and spacious. The upkeep on site was nice and clean. We really enjoyed our quick stay here. Would definitely be back to enjoy the rest of the amenities next time.

The property was clean and the common areas were well maintained. The history of the mansion was interesting to read about and it made the stay even better. The restraunt onsite was nice and the breakfast option was worth the money. We stayed in the newer building by the large conference rooms. The rooms are dark enough that you need to open the curtains if you have sub standard vision like me. The finishes have a high end feel and the air conditioner worked great.

Beautiful setting but a bit out of place as the property is resort like but surrounded in the immediate area by single family homes. Beautiful hotel and grounds though. Room very nice and modern, except the HVAC was out of sync with the thermostat. We had engineering there to fix it the night we arrived and they said it was fixed but never-the-less ended up sleeping in a cold room with the fan continuing to blow even with the thermostat set to 80f.

Beautiful property. Room was nice. Staff were excellent. Two slight things. I noticed that at times there were a lot of glasses sitting around the common area that had not been picked up and were still there the next morning (when they did get picked up). Restaurant was good, but service slow. Having said that, the personnel were exceptional. Perhaps too few of them? My biggest complaint is that the room was very dark and the lights were dim. Seems an easy fix. In summary, I'd stay there again in a hearbeat!

Air conditioner did not work. Called front desk. Said they were sending someone. Opened 1 window. Other window had no screen. Waited an hour and half and then had to call again. Switched rooms. Wasted my time waiting while family was at the pool. Some light bulbs did not work. Room was dark.

This hotel is over priced, does not include main necessities. Have to pay for water, no makeup wipes, also the lighting was very dim. The staff saw us struggling to get inside and ignored us.

I recently stayed at Hayes Mansion and overall, I really liked the hotel. The property is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The room itself was very nice and comfortable once we got it. However, check-in was a bit of a hassle, we didn’t get a room until 6pm. I had to check in with the front desk several times, and unfortunately, the staff didn’t seem very friendly. They seemed a bit annoyed that I kept asking about the room status. That said, the hotel itself is lovely, and I would consider staying here again and hopefully with a smoother check-in experience next time.

We were pretty disappointed with our whole check in process. The first room was dirty, so had to walk all the way back to get another room. The front desk stated there were no rooms ready, which was fine, so we left to have an early dinner for about 2 hours. When we returned, the rooms were still not ready, and it's 5pm by now. So the front desk said we could stay in a single king bed room, which we agreed, because we needed to be an event. So this next room, the AC was broken, which they must have known because there was a window unit in the room. The temp of the room was 80 degrees. So we had to go back again for another room. The 3rd room was a charm though...clean and AC worked! We ended up being late to our event because of all the room changes...but we enjoyed the stay afterwards!

The front desk staff was very blah. Not what you would expect from a “luxury hotel.” At check-in the front desk agent was not welcoming at all, little to no eye contact, poor posture constantly leaning on the desk as if I was interrupting, did not discuss any of the amenities that the hotel had to offer and scoffed at me when I asked if I could add this stay to my Hilton Honors account. At checkout, the front desk agent was also just very straightfaced and did not check to see how our stay was just went straight to the facts of what the bill looked like. Aside from the front desk staff the property is pretty nice although our TV did not work in our room and we waited almost an hour and a half for someone to come fix it. The pool also had no towels and when I asked them to bring towels, we waited over 45 minutes and still no towels so we ended up leaving and walking back to our room, cold and soaking wet. Again, not something you would expect from a “luxury hotel”. For the price you pay for one of these hotels you expect much better service. I have a degree in Hospitality Management and worked for the Four Seasons, Hotels and Resorts for many years and I started at the front desk. This doesn’t make me picky. It just allows me to understand what should be expected when you stay at a luxury property. I understand that the Four Seasons may have higher standards, but if you consider yourself a luxury property, you should act like it.

Loved the stay, the room, the bed, and the restaurant. However, the security guard at the pool was a bit abrasive on sat and sun he was sitting in a chair literally snoring for a while when we first got to the pool and then we picked up food from the restaurant then he woke up came to our table while we were eating and just bent over our table staring at our food then finally in a rude tone asked “this from here?” The bag from the restaurant was on the table with the receipt stapled to it and where else would we have gotten a burger with the hotel logo branded into the bun? It’s not a very large menu I would think the security could maybe familiarize themselves with what food from the hotel looks like. Also, when we said yes he said nothing and just walked away. I understand he has a job to do but we are a family eating lunch at a pool in a hotel where we were staying in a suite i felt like i was being watched policed by a prison guard

The hotel is nice but it is more like a motel or condos style vibe. In a nicer way. The gardens and lobby are beautiful. The breakfast buffet was good. Good HBO variety of channels. The pool looks bigger in the pictures. It is a little far from downtown or any commercial place. The neighborhood seemed very residential.

Pretty, historic property. Theres a shop in the lobby which is handy if you're looking for snacks. I had a BLT in the restaurant and it was huge and delicious. Friendly staff. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the history of the hotel is interesting. A little isolated, but we just ordered an Uber for going downtown. Would recommend if you like historical properties.

Everything was great except parking in the back. It’s pitch black back there and very dangerous. The back door that goes to the area I would’ve needed to use is kept locked and it’s only used to exit. So I had to walk to another area in the dark each night. Not safe at all.

Pulled up after a hike and filling my truck with items from storage as I’m moving out of state. Items were covered by a tarp and bungees. As I pulled in there was some punk going from car to car trying to find a car with items left out or cars unlocked. I went straight to the manager to inform. He says he already talked to the guy and will handle it. Well, 40 min later when I roll my bags out, I see cut bungees. This punk stole things out of my truck bed right in front of the manager. I was pissed obviously, manager came out immediately and said he chased the kid away and called the police, 7 hours later the police called me all confused. But it is really annoying that the hotel didn’t take care of my 1 night or offer a free night in the future. Poor service.

We spent three nights at this hotel as part of a college tour of San Jose State. The hotel is wonderful - we had a lovely room and were very comfortable. A couple of things broke during our stay - the toilet paper holder and the electric shade and both were fixed right away. One thing -It was the week before California spring break and the hotel was eerily empty. Very few guests meant we got to have the pool and hot tub to ourselves the entire time. The park next to it is a little sketchy but we felt very safe. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood which was fine. It was really a great place to stay and if my daughter goes to college there I will stay there again.

There was a man walking around the parking lot pulling on door handles. He jumped the fence in broad daylight. When I saw that I did not feel comfortable leaving my car. Another person in our party had hee truck broken into that night. I dont recall seeing security when we checking in late Friday night. Place is beautiful orherwise.

A beautiful historic building with nice enough rooms, but the staff upon registration was not nice at all, and there were no good options for dining. One restaurant on property with limited hours and it was very cold (we were told there were issues with the HVAC system.) There is no complimentary coffee in the public areas. Since the restaurant has limited hours there are snacks and drinks (canned and bottled) for sale in the lobby. There were bottles of wine for sale in the lobby, as well. We asked if there were any cups or glasses and were told we could use paper cups from our room (which was located in a separate building, not convenient for staying in the "parlor area" of the lobby and sharing a glass of wine.) I loved the building and grounds but won\'t be returning to this property.

Part of our honey moon and at check in when I said this we were just ignored and told we were 30mins too early. The on-site restaurant was not great and the staff didn’t really know what they were doing and had little knowledge of their wine menu. The bed was comfy Pool was nice but it was a shame it was fenced in and did not have enough sun beds

I’ve been coming here since 2020! I just love the hotel! Everyone is so sweet and welcoming! Easy check in as well! Downside is you can’t access to more than Netflix and YouTube on the tv so that sucks. I’d recommend bringing a laptop for entertainment. The pool and jacuzzi is really nice! The menu at the restaurant changes every month so be aware of that! I loved their strawberry dulce de lece cake they served on VDay! So good! Must be a permanent dessert please!!

Beautiful property. Not as fancy as I expected. Questionable neighborhood. And they had what I can only describe as large hand towels at the pool one of the two days. Seemed impossible to get a proper coffee on-site.
