We loved it! The place is very nice, the green areas are very well maintained. The staff is wonderful, the waiters and bartenders. We used the kids' club for our 7-year-old son, and they are WONDERFUL, the treatment is super special, and they have lots of activities. The entertainment for adults is SUPER, they have a great and fun program. The food is very good and has a lot of variety. We'll definitely be back.

I really enjoyed this resort. The staff was very friendly. The club had great music. The grounds were immaculate. The french restaurant was outstanding as well as the breakfast buffet. Had allot of issues with the key card to the room. The beach has ALLOT of seaweed. I didn't go into the ocean once. Overall I would still return.

This resort was fantastic! We traveled as a family including an 8 year old. Right away from arriving, we were greeted by knowledgeable and friendly staff, given our welcome information, and ushered to our rooms... effortless check in, and we were in the pool within an hour! It was brilliant being able to walk from end to end of the resort in under 5 minutes, making it easy for getting around to the different amenities or asking for information. The beach was immaculate with plenty of shade and chairs for everyone! (Ocean water is wonderfully wavy!) For us, there was the perfect amount of food choices: buffets and snacks, and a few reservation type restaurants... not the overwhelming number of choices you find at those massive resorts. The room was spacious and beds were very comfy! Our view from the 4th floor was outstanding!!! Overall, I highly recommend this location!

The property entrance is shared by several other hotels, Iberostar group has like 4 different hotels in the same location. Some of the restaurants are accessible to guests from different hotels. The variety of food is great (asian, latin, french, italian, american/bar food) however; they love to nickel and dime you for things like steak and lobster (even as an all -inclusive these cost $25-$65 extra. The staff are very attentive and super friendly. One thing that I was hoping is for the waiters to come around the pool and serve us there. There is no service by the pool or by the beach, you have to walk to the nearest bar and get your drinks. They only have presidente beer as an offering in most of the bars. I called it Dictator beer. The rooms are showing their age, there is mold around the A/C vents in my room. Also the TV service is horrible at best. They offer over 100 channels of which only 30 or so are watchable. The rest are either no signal, or too pixelated. The best two restaurants La Sibila (French) and the Italian option are only with reservation, you can only do one reservation in each restaurant per each stay. Meaning you are not allowed to repeat any of the restaurants unless you are staying for more than 2 weeks. The service hours for the restaurants is also not the best. There're 30-45min gaps where there is no food around in any of the major buffets/restaurants. The food service also ends at 10:30pm on all restaurants. I wouldn't recommend this place

Wonderful place to stay! Would definitely go back. Beach was full of seaweed (that they worked on cleaning up daily) but still have 2 nice size pools with lots of activities for adults and kids thru out the day. The staff was AMAZING and friendly. Lots of options for food

Upon arrival, no room was ready for us despite it being after checkin time. We waited for a bit, then were given a room. It was not the type we had registered for and it was dirty. The toilet had visable stains on it, the floor was sandy. We returned to the checkin desk and they did give us a better room, although I never felt that anything was truly clean. The glasses had lip marks, and the dishes in the buffets were often crusty. I saw a huge dead roach in the lobby restroom. All that aside, the food was good for the most part. We generally chose the buffets as the restaurants were hard to get reservations and we didn't feel that they were anything special. We did wish the food areas were open more. We are early eaters and often the buffets weren't open until 1pm, 6pm. Trying to find a place to grab lunch at noon before our flight was tricky. The drinks at the bar were good and fast. The beach was well kept and easily accessible. The landscaping was beautiful. The staff was friendly. We did get bamboozled into "a fancy breakfast at their neighbor resort" which we quickly realized was a timeshare sales pitch. The shows started at 9:45pm, so we didn't really check them out. We get up early and run on the beach at sunrise, so it would have been nice to have some earlier show options. We are pretty well traveled. We have been to better, we've been to worse. Would I chose this particular resort again? Probably not.

Thia property had roaches. I had a roach in my room and they did nothing. The power frequently went out. The tv in the room didnt work. The only thing that was nice was the beach and thats more God than Iberostar. Do not stay here. Sanatation was subpar at best. Work resort ive ever stayed at in my life. The food was average at best. The resort was lovely and beautiful! The food is Great (I only ate at the buffet). Beach was great. You have to get out there 8am to get a good sit, by 10am they are mostly all taken. There was seaweed on the beach and in the ocean, but it was not bad. It was just that time of year. Ones that work at the resort are friendly. After you get past the front registration lobby area, 85-90 percent of the staff speak 5-10 percent English. Just know the basics bc you are visiting a Spanish-speaking country. Don’t assume that people/everyone speak English. Learn the language, just the basics or use your translation app. I even thought about coming back but after water seeping through the walls in my room, near the bathroom. I asked the front desk woman that wore glasses (she was very nonchalant/noncompliant) for help with this issue. I reported it the following day (after I asked for help one time) and I wasn’t even offered another room, even though I didn’t ask (bc I thought someone was coming to fix it) ,I should have been offered another room and I had to spend the rest of my vacation with the walls leaking and the water on the floor. She assume the water was coming from my shower and it was not. I took pictures bc I slipped and almost fell. I hope they will listen to the next guest bc someone can/will hurt themselves.

The place was beautiful but small. The activities were plentiful and the staff super enthusiastic - they would even see you later in the day and come chat with you. The food was not the 5 star food that I expected. The snack bar food was just eh and not often replenished. The buffets lacked cleanliness - people stuck their hand in to take things, used spoons from other dishes, etc.

The property was dated, but relatively clean. The air conditioner in our room was very loud, and we found a cockroach in there one night. The pool and beach were extremely loud with all of the entertainment/activities (fitness classes, bingo, foam parties all at full blast). The gym was the only very good thing about this resort. Modern, clean, and had everything we needed. Our biggest issue with our stay was with the food, which was not good at all. We ended up moving to a different resort halfway through our stay because we couldnt find anything we wanted to eat. Very greatful to Dahiana at the front desk, who helped us navigate our move to the Grand Bavaro, which was a much better experience.

Beautiful property, well kept. We could not make key room cards work. We’d have to walk to the reception several times a day to remagnatize them. I even changed the room because it was too much and it was the same problem. Lots of food but lots of it wasn’t good. If you’re a picky eater you may not like it but if food is down your priority list, then you’ll be fine, no way you’ll be hungry. Beautiful beach. I would recommend if you’re not expecting anything hosh-posh.

Property very outdated! Rooms need a major renovation. One example is bathroom faucet water handle leaks water when turned on, a lot water that needed to be wiped up after every use. Not what I expected from Iberostar! Dining options and times not as good as other all inclusives I’ve been to. Staff is very friendly!

Very spacious resort, lots of amenities. Room key cards regularly deactivated, which is one of the reasons for the low rating. Whe showering the washroom gets soaked. Room was clean and spacious. The beach was nice and always enough sun loungers. Buffets were nice with a lot of variety. À la cartes were, just book early as th fill up quickly.

The check in process was 45 mins once arriving at the counter. Our room was not available and we were offered a different option. The air-conditioning did not work from the first day and initially complaining i was told the whole building was out. Multiple trips to request service went unanswered. The day before leaving the front desk person said the answer i was givin was not correct and he would send someone. Needless to say that didnt happen and it remained broken and we had to leave the door open and the patio door open to get any cooling from the breeze. The entertainment was sub par and the only thing that made it entertaining was the included liquor. Spring breakers obviously just 18 and there drinking, pool volleyball was better entertainment. The weather was amazing and it made thr trip worth it over all. I was attempting for days before leaving to get details on thr resort for activities, menus, layout and found very little except the web sites trying to book you for a stay. Just expected more

The DR is beautiful but Iberostar Dominicana was terrible. The staff is rude and not helpful. The food was trash and made us sick each day. They also re-tarred the roof for entire stay, so we breathed that in by the pool daily and in our rooms, not to mention it sounded like a construction site and the crew threw debris off the roof next to the pool every day. When we spoke with the manager about how disappointing the rooms, rude staff and terrible food was, he told us we this resort of bottom tier and we should have paid more money for a better experience. Did I mention that we paid for an upgraded room, only to arrive and find out we paid more the same room. They’re ALL the same! Besides the sun, pool and drinks, it was trash! The worst part was trying to check out. They claimed they were having system issues and weren’t able to verify our credit card payment for a massage. They kept us there until we almost missed our flight over $155, even after I showed them the pending payment on my credit card app. Livid is an understatement. For nearly 2 hours we stood at the front desk, bc the concierge told us we were waiting on a manager. Worse service ever.

Iberostar All Inclusive is pretty much what you would expect from an economy resort. My only real complaint is the sales operation that hounded me to spend 90 minutes listening to their ownership program. Calls to my room before I was awake. Even knocking on my door twice before I was awake. This behavior by the sales team ("Concierge") was intolerable and in the end I shortened my stay to 3 days.

"Our stay was underwhelming due to several operational issues and inconsistent service. Upon check-in, our room keys were not working, requiring multiple trips to the front desk to resolve. My recent stay at Iberostar was wonderful. I was celebrating my 40th birthday and originally booked Iberostar Waves Dominicana. When I checked in we were upgraded to Iberostar Waves Punta Cana. Both resorts are next to each other. All the staff I encountered were pleasant and friendly. We received great service at all the restaurants especially at their buffet, Higuey. The hotel grounds are beautiful, each day there are activities and entertainment shows at night. I would highly recommend either resort. From beginning to end it was a memorable and great trip.

Loved our stay & the property. Only downfall to our trip was the seaweed on the beach. Apparently August is when mass amounts of seaweed wash up to shore, so we didn't enjoy the ocean water as I had imagined. This is obviously not the resorts fault, just mother nature & a lack of knowledge on my part. The resort did their best to clean it up every morning running tractors to discard as much as they could. Not all resorts along the beach were doing this & we were very grateful for their efforts! Definitely looking forward to returning at a different time of year when the seaweed isn't taking over the shoreline. The pool, the views, the staff & the excursions were all amazing!

The beach is gorgeous and clean, but very very crowded. Many vendors approaching your chair makes it difficult to relax. There was never any beach service for drinks and no swim up bar which was different than other all inclusives we’ve visited, but not a huge deal. The staff was almost too friendly. Many of the men made advances that left us uncomfortable and felt very unprofessional. The food was simply not good. We were able to dine at the a la carte restaurants most nights without a reservation because they were empty. It felt shady to us that they make it seem like you need to eat at the buffet. Still, the a la carte restaurants weren’t very good. The room was clean and comfortable and drinks were good so not all was lost, but we still wouldn’t return as we’ve had much better experiences elsewhere. I ignored reviews feeling that people are too picky, but the negative feedback is unfortunately very accurate.

Right away from arriving, we were greeted by knowledgeable and friendly staff, given our welcome information, and ushered to our rooms... effortless check in, and we were in the pool within an hour! It was brilliant being able to walk from end to end of the resort in under 5 minutes, making it easy for getting around to the different amenities or asking for information. The beach was immaculate with plenty of shade and chairs for everyone! (Ocean water is wonderfully wavy!) For us, there was the perfect amount of food choices: buffets and snacks, and a few reservation type restaurants... not the overwhelming number of choices you find at those massive resorts. The room was spacious and beds were very comfy! Our view from the 4th floor was outstanding!!! Overall, I highly recommend this location!

I had a fantastic experience staying at Iberostar Waves Dominicana. it was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The bed was super comfy. The location was perfect. We add access to the beach. The restaurants/buffet was delicious. A lot of options. Excellent customer service. The staff were very responsive, friendly, and helpful with local tips and recommendations. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. I felt very safe and welcoming. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting DR and I hope to stay here again on my next trip!

Entering into the property is very secure. The areas leading up to the properties were well manicured. The plam trees were beautiful. Hotel was in great condition entering common areas. I did not like not being able to make a reservation at all the dining locations and had to eat the cold, same food at the buffet. We were only allowed 2 nights reservation out of 6. Pool was nice. Ocean was very seaweedy and went from your knee depth to over 6ft in depth very quickly. I wouldn't stay at another iberostar cause of the dinner reservation policy they have.

We loved it! The place is very nice, the green areas are very well maintained. The staff is wonderful, the waiters and bartenders. We used the kids' club for our 7-year-old son, and they are WONDERFUL, the treatment is super special, and they have lots of activities. The entertainment for adults is SUPER, they have a great and fun program. The food is very good and has a lot of variety. We'll definitely be back.

The food was not good at all, the buffet was ok but the reservations to the other restaurants were pretty ba. Plates were served already and on the fridge. No fresh ingredients as very small portions. Food at the snack bar was old and dry. For the price that I paid was unacceptable.service is nice people are friendly but it was a poor experience!

Need better Management in the Dinning Food area, from Food safety to the meals quality and presentations. The food expense was there but it got lost in how poorly presented and served . Personnel Management was missing

Astonishing views, nice park like ground, very friendly employees, great and very clean housekeeping. Cons: only one thing, food was sometimes a little cold at the buffet, but the specialty restaurants were absolutely great. Ones in a while you saw a fly, but for the circumstances that the buffet area is not enclosed you can't be disappointed. Overall this property is at least 4.8 out of 5. Thank you to the staff

As the property is what we expected as it looked like the pictures.despite their best efforts the food was terrible. Most of it wasn’t even edible. The fruits were the only decent thing on the menu. The restaurant offer somewhat edible food but it won’t satisfy you especially if you havnt eaten all day. Be sure to have that uber eats app ready if you plan to stay here. And the shampoo wasn’t good either. Feels like nothing was being washed

The property entrance is shared by several other hotels, Iberostar group has like 4 different hotels in the same location. Some of the restaurants are accessible to guests from different hotels. The variety of food is great (asian, latin, french, italian, american/bar food) however; they love to nickel and dime you for things like steak and lobster (even as an all -inclusive these cost $25-$65 extra. The staff are very attentive and super friendly. One thing that I was hoping is for the waiters to come around the pool and serve us there. There is no service by the pool or by the beach, you have to walk to the nearest bar and get your drinks. They only have presidente beer as an offering in most of the bars. I called it Dictator beer. The rooms are showing their age, there is mold around the A/C vents in my room. Also the TV service is horrible at best. They offer over 100 channels of which only 30 or so are watchable. The rest are either no signal, or too pixelated. The best two restaurants La Sibila (French) and the Italian option are only with reservation, you can only do one reservation in each restaurant per each stay. Meaning you are not allowed to repeat any of the restaurants unless you are staying for more than 2 weeks. The service hours for the restaurants is also not the best. There're 30-45min gaps where there is no food around in any of the major buffets/restaurants. The food service also ends at 10:30pm on all restaurants. I wouldn't recommend this place
