WOW...ELEGANT... Courtyard VILLA + Golf CART, Steps to POOL, 3 Min to Sumter SQ

The landscaping was nonexistent. Just weeds and no lawn. The bark mulch has all washed away. No rug, bar stools, and decor on the lanai as pictured. We were very disappointed! I wanted to pack up and go home it looked so bad. Other than that everything else was okay.

The Villa is perfect! Beautifully decorated. Large kitchen with plenty of counter space. Bedrooms are lovely. Lanai and backyard was perfect for both family and dog! Will definitely keep in mind for future family gatherings!!!

We used VRBO because we are looking a place to retire. The villages were definitely someplace we were considering. We figured this was a great easy to experience the life style first hand. Thanks to the owners for giving us this opportunity. We were very disappointed in our experience. So please forward to the owners 1. Kitchen had ants on the counters 2. Sink in master bathroom was clogged 3. Would have been nice to know that certain things were not provided...I e. Soap, coffee (or at least what kind of coffee maker unit has 4. Instructions were unclear on the "badge to keep with it's at all times". Where to get it. We did not have one and only had trouble getting in once 5. Unit had not been cleaned prior to our visit. Floors full of sand, and trash on the carpet and bath mats. We have never done VRBO therefore did not know what to expect but we definitely left it cleaner than we found it. It definitely needs cleaning but due to no fault of ours therefore consider the cleaning fee excessive. Amenities were nice (pool, golf cart, proximity to town etc) We will not do a VRBO again though so for this we thank you. We can do a motel and still get the experience.

Pros: great location, good beds, appliances good. Cons: constant resetting the router for cable/ internet, saw bugs in house, grill was dirty but we cleaned it up and provided the propane tank. Furniture dirty and fairly uncomfortable. This little villa could really benefit from a deep scrub, new countertops, a paint job and screen repair. Some new lanai furniture wouldn’t hurt either.

Nice community. Enjoyed nice restaurants, golf and weather. Thanks for the use of golf car. Property was clean and convenient to everything.

The house was as beautiful as described. Great location too. Golf cart rode well. We used uber after dark rather than maneuver it at night. We were warned that we had to wash & dry sheets & towels. I would not choose to do that again. I prefer the cleaning company do all that. However it was stated b4 hand so that’s on me. The owners were terrific. FYI there is no coffee so bring some with you! The neighbors were friendly as well.

My wife and I stayed at this villa for 9 nights while closing on a home nearby. The rental had everything we needed to cook meals, though there were plenty of dining and shopping options 10 minutes away. The villa offered a gold cart but we didn't use it. Overall it was a great experience and we loved hanging out on the back porch!

We had a great stay at this property. The location was great close to a lot of golf courses and just a short golf cart ride to Sumter Landing.

The only thing we saw wrong was that it advertised free golf and we had to pay $11 for the executive courses and between $24 and $60 for the championship courses depending on what time of day you wanted to play. The villa itself was perfect for us.

The location of the home is close to Lake Sumter Landing, pools were very close as well.Any questions or issues I had were promptly taken care of by Tom and Christine.

The location was great. Short distance from Square I did have to clean glass ware before we could use it. We could still see lip marks on glasses. I had to clean coffee pot. It was very brown stained. My husband had to clean both toilets before we could use them. Very dirty under the lid. We exited after putting clean linen on beds.

We enjoyed renting in The Villages for January and February of 2024. The location can't be beat. But we were bummed that the unit had not been fully cleaned when we checked in. The owner refunded us the cleaning fee.

We loved the layout of the house and the location. Bathrooms needed some fixes on the wall around the shower. The large heavy bedspread had pet hair on it. We took it off the bed. The owners were very accommodating and communicated in a timely manner. Nice rental.

The golfcart had a flat tire after a few miles, and by the visual condition of that tire, was obvious we lost that round of "musical chairs." The 24hr golfcart maintenance number was a non-starter, answering on the stormy night, but unable to effect repair on the weekend. A spare tire was expected from them next morning, but they finally called at dinner time--no help. The linens washing/bed making requirement is new to us, and our booking was the day prior, so refund/cancellation not an option. In light of the housekeeping chores required, the random 10:00am checkout time is too early, without purpose. Checkout should be noon, or even later, as the "cleaning" is nearly done.

I thought it was good overall…great location. They could use a couple of items. Cookie sheets, clocks, and more comfortable porch furniture. Could also use a full length mirror. I feel like with a vrbo however I should not have had to buy my own toilet paper and paper towels, nor should I be required to wash sheets and make up beds if I am paying a cleaning fee.

Our trip was planned to get out of the cold weather and play a couple rounds of golf. We ordered the Lifestyle passes to let us get T times. As it turns out, you can’t make any arrangements until you’re physically there to pick up your passes. We were arriving Sunday evening and assumed we could set up for Monday. Additionally, through some snafu, they hadn’t received the owners request to reserve the passes for us. We weren’t able to reach the owners before the 6:00 pm deadline so had to wait until Monday morning. Then, we found the passes don’t activate until their (The Villages), overnight computer update so, Tuesday morning. So a lot of aggravation with that. Would have preferred scheduling our limited time there better. Minor dryer issue that was attended to immediately. Minor housekeeping issues we addressed with owner. Not enough toilet paper or paper towels. No tissues in house. Minimal detergent supplies. Previous occupants’ dogs left their nose prints on the patio doors. Not that great a deal for us to make the beds ourselves as we left , but really?? This could have been a whole lot nicer with a little effort.
