Really enjoyed our stay, we had 4 rooms and each had a small kitchen area. The walkway to the beach was the best and shortest that i saw during our visit. We loved the pool and hearing the ocean at night.

Great place with great beach access! Was very clean and comfortable. Only downside was the pool was shut down during our stay and we could hear the upstairs neighbors very loudly, a kid running around constantly. It was great to have a kitchenette with a big fridge! Front desk staff was very friendly!

Clean facility. Check in was easy with room code. Access directly to the beach. Nice pool. Wish they have a hot tub. The bed is spring though so it's a little uncomfortable to sleep in. Everything else is great. Thank you!

Ocean front, walking distance to booty treats icecream, and putt putt! Has multiple grills you can use! Good clean pool! Overall a perfect spot for the family!! Will be using Sandspurs again from here on out

Loved our time at SandSpur. Our room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. The pool looked clean and well maintained. We spent most of our time at the beach so we didn't use the pool, but it was nice to have if we wanted it. We cook almost every night so the kitchen was nice. It was clean and all the appliances worked. The room we had only the bare minimum of cooking utensils, but we made do with what was there. If you need more than one pot and pan you should plan to bring your own. The only complaint, that's not a real complaint but suggestion, is that there are no water hoses for quick rinsing of beach equipment near the units. It would be nice to have a way to rinse off boards and chairs before packing. In all, the place was perfect for our last relaxing vacation of the summer. I do look forward to staying with them again in the future.

Staff was nice. Beach was close. Things to do nearby. Check-in was fast over the phone. Someone had a dog next door to us, barking, very annoying. Sand in the bed sheets on the made beds. I would recommend again, negative things were small issues (bring your own sheets and hope no one has dogs).

Absolutely amazing! I never leave reviews but I wanted to be sure to leave a review for this stay because we will be booking for Thanksgiving again next year. Super clean with all the necessities and great place to bring your pet. Highly recommend!

The room clean & cozy , had all i needed for my stay. Beach was right in the back, also pool was clean and well maintained. The front desk was very helpful and nice, i would recommend sandspur cottages to anyone staying in Nags Head.

Pros: great location (walking distance to few local restaurants, the beach, and a pier), easy check-in, spacious rooms Cons: the bathrooms/showers were not that presentable (maybe consider replacing shower curtains) and some of the towels had stains

Really great location in touristy Nags Head, steps to the beach, sand-in-the-parking-lot kinda place, nice pool, clean. Really should spend some money updating a bit, however. Shower/bath enclosure coming apart, peeling floor tiles, old carpet, etc. How about a new LVP floor or something? But--, very importantly- it was clean.

Nice old school Nags Head accomodations. The rooms are decent, however the bathrooms need some maintenance. There was some mold in the bathroom due to the amount of moisture and no vent. The beds were absolutely HORRIBLE and need to be replaced. The pool was nice and the property was set up well with a nice cozy community feeling. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful.

The traditional cottage was perfect. So much more spacious than a typical hotel room, and we each had our own separate bedroom. The check-in instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It was a nice weekend stay.

The cottages look quaint from the outside but are very dated on the inside. Old noisy air conditioner, a ceiling fan that could only be adjusted on "high" setting or off, a mattress that has seen better days, touch sensitive lamps (one didn\'t work), tiny bathroom, wood paneling, 1960\'s ceiling tiles. On a positive note, nice location & close access to the beach. Prior reviews on Expedia were very positive so I thought this would be a nice place to stay. Overall, you get what you pay for. It was cheaper than other options but not sure I would stay again.

Cottages, most expensive lodging on our trip without any of the amenities such as free tea/coffee/hotwater, shampoo. They also require you to clean anything you used in the kitchen yourself. I assume they charge you extra if a teacup is wet. Bathroom as well as the rest needs uptading. Wifi did not work for us. It worked slow or not at all. I am not sure about charges yet. We booked a room for 6 through expedia and got a room for 4 adults. Not a big issue because we are only 4 but hoped for a pull-out couch and more space. It was quiet besides dehumidifier and air conditioning. Location close to ocean is nice.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway! The staff was very friendly. Everything was very clean. My husband mentioned that the air conditioner didn’t feel like it was cooling properly and they may want to check it when we checked out and in less than an hour a brand new unit was installed in our room no questions asked!! You can not ask for better service than that!! Very unexpected but appreciated. We will stay here again and can’t wait!!!

We arrived at 4:30 to check in and came to the clised office to be greeted by a sign that said to check in at the hotel next door. Drove next door and presented to the feont deak only to be met by someone who did not know why I wpuld be checking in over there. I called the # that was on the note of the front door of the original hotel and this receptionists phone rang however she said that wasnt the correct #. The receptionist got her manager and when the manager came in she checked in someone else thinking it was me. I eventually got checked in and got my room code (which she announced to the entire lobby). Other than that mess of a check in....the motel was perfect. Laid back. Local. Great neighbors. Great beach access. We will be returning.
