This place is amazing. The only issue is that they dont have on-site parking. They provide free parking through a 3rd party. 3rd party parking are open between 7:30am and 10:pm. So if you're renting a vehicle because you want to travel you might be restricted stricted of free parking. The parking location is about 2 blocks away from the hotel. If you have an early flight, something to consider.

This hotel has photo shopped pictures it’s very old and not maintained at all. The front it’s not friendly and does not give any info on additional services like laundry. It doesn’t not refund at all. There’s no pool or even an elevator . No room service or any type of hotel entertainment. I was stuck here for 3 nights I ended up spending another night at another hotel

Perfect for budget friendly travel! Common areas are beautiful and rooms are decent, with everything you need for comfort. Something to note is that, while there is a pool featured in their images on google, they in fact do not have a pool. Didn't end up being a huge deal for us, but a weird glitch that could lead to disappointment if you're looking for a hotel with one.

Es una propiedad antigua y no tiene refrigeracion en la estancia ni elevador y las escaleras son de las antiguas que se te va el aliento cuando subes y con el calor que hace en agosto es insufribles. Pero la ubicacion es excelente, lo unico malo es que el estacionamiento al cual te mandan si traes carro cierra muy temprano y si viajas alrededor es dificil llegar. El ultimo dia tuve que pagar un estacionamiento porque estaba cerrado cuando llegue y me cobraron 500.00 pesos por la noche y no podia sacar mi carro antes de las 8:00 am

Facil check-in, check out. Muy accesible a áreas principales. Recomendado. El único inconveniente para que sepan es que no tiene elevador, si te toca el 3er piso, tendrás que subir escaleras. De ahí en fuera, ¡todo muy bién!.

I don’t think my room was cleaned properly before I checked in. The bed was made but I found a champagne cork on my floor and the restroom floor was dirty. There are no elevators and don’t expect the workers to help you carry anything up the stairs. I had to carry everything myself, after having to walk a block with all my things in the heat, to the third floor. Can get really loud outside, the room lighting wasn’t the greatest but the aesthetic of the hotel was nice. I’m sure there were better options out there.

Hotel was conveniently located in the city center. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower water was hot. Not a new hotel but we were expecting this and liked the antique feeling. Good for the price. The staff is nice and professional.

El equipo fue súper agradable, nos recibieron muy bien. Vi oportunidades en higiene ya que por la noche m e levante y nos tocó ver algunas cucarachas. Si bien, pedimos al staff que nos ayudasen con un insecticida y amablemente nos ayudaron, el hecho en si fue desagradable. Entendemos que la zona centro un hotel antiguo puede tener ese problema, sin embargo, un alto standard sería fumigar cada cuanto. Otro tema fue el estacionamiento, está a 2 calles, deberían recibir a las personas , tomar sus maletas y que alguien lleve el coche, tuve que caminar en calles súper angostas, con mil personas y cargando maletas. Nada placentero. También había mucho ruido durante la madrugada, no se podía dormir. Además del mosco que no dejó de molestar toda la noche. Jajaj…en fin, repito, el equipo muy bien, desafortunadamente esa construcción debería ser renovada.

Esta en excelentes ubicación, el estacionamiento está a unas cuadras del hotel, la habitación es pequeña, el baño es extremadamente reducido, no tiene agua caliente la habitación por la noche, no cuenta con restaurante, la decoración interior del hotel es bastante bonita, al interior de la habitación le falta mantenimiento, tiene frigobar, caja de seguridad y burro para planchar, aunque no dan botellas de agua de bienvenida

This is not a three-star hotel. Air conditioner was too weak to cool the room. Refrigerator did not work, although staff insisted it did. TV remote sometimes worked. However, when i got it working, channel selection was great. Staff was very friendly. Location is excellent.

It is a beautiful building, yes Old, but still majestic. Our room was huge with three very big windows (2 of which had a balcony that we could go out and enjoy the music from the restaurant across the street-only Friday and Saturday). The beds were comfortable and the room was always clean. A HUGE plus was that the AC unit worked exceptionally well and the two ceiling fans really maintained the room cool, something very important since Merida is very hot and humid. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt extremely safe in the hotel and the area. If you like modern like a Hyatt, then this place is not for you. This is a historic landmark (100 years old) that reminded me of being in a Colonial/European museum exhibit hall.

The room I stayed was a bit small and bathroom was hard to get into since the step to get into bathroom was a bit high and anyone can easily trip and fall when having to go use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Pillows could be a bit softer as well as mattress. The furniture inside the lobby area was nice but the hotel itself needs lots of repairs since it’s an old building but the actual architecture of the hotel is nice and looks antique. The parking area can be updated and a bit closer to the hotel itself since it’s a few blocks away and could work on it being open 24/7.

The hotel itself was amazing, definitely colonial and old world. Even though it’s an old hotel, the AC was the best! Especially in the hot weather. The staff were very nice and helpful. The only downside about it which is why it didn’t get full stars was the bathroom in our room. With the amount of space we had it was a tiny little closet space. Barely had space to move around.

Stay somewhere else in Mérida. We moved to a different hotel eventually. The staff here are rude, unhelpful and dismissive. The hotel is beautiful inside but it has none of the amenities listed available. The rooms are old and need updating - bathroom smells and also needed refreshing. Our toilet broke on our last day staying here. This could be an amazing place to stay in Merida close to all attractions and easy to walk to nearby restaurants and parks. But the staff and lack of any real hotel amenities really ruined the trip for us. You will find many nicer places to stay in Merida - choose somewhere else!

I enjoyed my week long stay. Staff was very nice and especially the bell man who is an older gentleman (I didn’t get his name). The hotel was dated, but in a charming and antique-ish way. It fit my idea of what a grand hotel would have looked like in the past. My room and the hotel itself was very clean. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping. My mattress was not soft (I slept well). But the bedding was attractive. My room had an air conditioner and a ceiling fan. They kept the room nice and cool. Shower water ran warm enough to shower comfortably. It would have been nice if there was an elevator. Otherwise I don’t have any complaint.

This is a special place - it has all the allure of a historic hotel that has seen grand days in the past, combined with old world charm and beauty. The location is to die for - we were literal steps from the main square and every major attraction in historic Merida - I cannot recommend it enough!

The staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel is a colonial style building. It is only one block from the Centro with many different type of restaurant. I walked about 12 minutes from the long distance bus station to the hotel.

This an older hotel with a classic colonial style built in 1901. It feels like you are in a bygone era. Not for everyone but memorable for us as we spent our honeymoon there 36 years ago and this was a return trip. Staff were always helpful even though their english was spotty. A starbucks and icecream shop downstairs were great.

This is an old hotel with a great history! It does not have the amenities of a new and modern hotel but this is my second time staying here. I knew this before I stayed the first time. There are no elevators so you might need to walk up to the 3rd floor. The rooms are clean and the air conditioning is great and the beds are very comfortable!!! There is a Starbucks right next door as the hotel does not have a restaurant. The staff speaks limited English and I speak limited Spanish but has never been a problem!!! The hotel is within walking distance of the Cathedral and restaurants and shopping. It located on a beautiful large public courtyard so many places to sit outside and enjoy the weather. I will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here several times. Located in Centro and a walk to most activities and attractions. No restaurant in hotel but PLENTY of options within 200 feet! Romantic and secluded in a small square, this is a great hotel for couples.

Pro- Awesome building!!!. Helpful staff & perfect location. Con- nothing major, No breakfast. Coffee either in room or the lobby would have been nice (not a Starbucks fan) A/C unit would not shut off. Would definitely stay here on future trips!

This historic hotel is very charming, the lobby is very impressive but the rooms still need to be updated. We had originally booked a larger room with 2 beds with a sitting area because of our 5 night stay but had to request being moved after the first night because of the dingy carpet, dusty furnishings, cracked paint on the walls and uneven flooring. The next morning we were moved to a smaller corner room with a view, without carpet but the stained furniture in the sitting area definitely needed to be cleaned. On the plus side, the bedding and towels were clean and the room did have the original charm we had expected from the history of this hotel. The hotel does not have a restaurant but walkable to many restaurants and shops and around the corner from the main cathedral and main plaza. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. This charming hotel could be a 5 star if they updated the rooms

You are staying in a time capsule. Be open minded to the noises, the age of the building and the surrounding area. I'm a city girl so the Starbucks next to the lobby was my to go to every morning. Many vendors outside and I liked purchasing from them. Eat gorditas gordo down the street for good affordable local food. Delish! Only thing...have mosquito repellent on you and in your room. They have a way of getting in because the central part of the hotel is open to the elements.
