*Staff - Excellent *Food - Specialty restaurant was good, but the buffet is absolutely horrible. Frozen juice every morning - cannot drink it. Food bland, boring, and not very healthy. *All-Inclusive - Absolutely terrible. They cannot seem to decide if they want to be an all-inclusive resort or a time share. Drinks are slow to come, and measured out one shot per drink. Practically have to beg for the pool bar to fill a cup - and (unfortunately) I had tipped $10 when I asked for my cup to be filled. Plus, you have to sign a bill for EVERYTHING you eat or drink. It’s all inclusive, why is there a bill? Whoever runs this place knows nothing about AI, and needs to be fired for all the bad at this place. *Couple small pools, never enough chairs. *Grounds clean and well-kept. ***Things they conveniently forget to tell you - this place puts a $550 hold on your credit card, for “incidentals.” It’s all inclusive people, there won’t be a mini bar bill!! I’ve travelled all over the world, extensively in Mexico, and have never had a hold of more that $200. They also charge you a “fee” of roughly $20 per day - at checkout. They don’t tell you this, and Expedia doesn’t tell you. They say it’s a “government tax,” but with no other resorts charging it, this is clearly a lie. *Airport transfer from airport is very reasonably priced. The first driver was horrible, rude, and made the experience terrible. The driver from the resort to the airport was awesome, and was tipped very well.

They had active construction going on during our stay to one of the beach front restaurants. This was not mentioned or discussed anywhere in the hotel’s information section or when booking. There were active bull dozers and you could clearly hear the banging of the construction when sitting on the beach or at both pools. While this didn’t ruin our stay, it was something we would have appreciated knowing before hand. I’m not sure when the construction is planned to be completed but I do know they were about in the middle of their project. The access to the beach is easy and direct. Perfect and clear for snorkeling & swimming.

It was nice place to stay. The grounds and the lobby were beautiful. The rooms and some of the areas around the pools are in need of updating. The decision to close off the far pool and kids pool before the planned shutdown was not a good one as it crowded the other pools. The management and security needs to do a better job of enforcing the kids coming into the adult pools and hot tubs.Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

No access to the beach for two days! Staff amazing ! Did not receive the online amenities and adventures because they were not there! My son came to Cilla Del Palmar in July2025 I was booking through false advertisement didn’t get to enjoy Italian foods, which my son enjoyed didn’t have any pizza because there was none ! No waterfall jacuzzi which was suppose to be the main event ! Instead we struggled to get lounge chairs by the pool area because it was so crowded because of the construction . I understand getting a renovation would include all these negatives but I was never told I would be missing out on so much ! Very frustrating ! On the other hand I have to give a Big Shout out to Ismael, Carlos, Jorge and Keren. They made my stay tolerable. Even though we went in with all inclusive and laid that, it was not worth it I will have to wait until all renovations are done before even booking my next stay . We might just have to go to another place where I will call in advance and make sure that what they advertise is what I will be getting !

It had a beautiful ocean view. Our room was listed as :ocean view" but it was a forward facing room where you could only see a tiny bit of the ocean. The pools where ridiculous. People came out before breakfast to put their stuff out to save chairs. The 45 minute rule was never in forced so getting lucky with a chair was almost impossible! It would have been nice to have a little more variety on the room service menu and the coupons they give you are only for the most expensive things at the resort! Other then that we loved Cabo and plan on coming back but will probably stay somewhere else.

Our recent stay at your the Lila Del Palmar property. While I appreciated the convenient location and the enjoyable dinner-and-show experience, I unfortunately encountered some significant issues that impacted the overall quality of my stay. Firstly, the presence of numerous flies during meal times was extremely unpleasant and detracted from the dining experience. This was a considerable hygiene concern. More importantly, on my first day, I became ill, necessitating a premature departure on the second day. I commend the staff at the front desk for their prompt and helpful service. They were accommodating in providing a room upgrade to an oceanfront location and provided an earlier check-in time, and they also assisted me in securing a reservation at another Villa resort. I am grateful for their assistance in this difficult situation. The refund for the unused nights of my stay was greatly appreciated and a fair resolution to the inconvenience caused. However, I do hope you will investigate the fly issue in the dining area to prevent similar experiences for future guests. Addressing the underlying hygiene concerns would significantly improve the guest experience. I also hope that you may consider reviewing your procedures to determine if there were any contributing factors to my illness.

There were some very friendly staff but it was a hit or miss. Check in staff would not engage in conversation and some staff was even argumentative. A man cut his head going down the slide and they didn't clean the pool until the pool was closed. Kids were nearly drowning and the lifeguard was chatting it up at the adult pool. Room areas assigned were musty with carpet stains which looked like blood. Would not choose them for all inclusive as they do not live up to what an all inclusive resort typically provides. There were a few amazing staff which we tended to try to go to their zones to make it through the vacation, however, I would not return to this resort. Had it not been high season and that we were traveling with a large family group, I would have moved to another resort.

HTL: 10/10. Our room was very clean and had an unbelievable view. We stayed on the 6th floor and had an ocean view. The room also came stocked with drinks/snacks everyday. Food: 10/10. Best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive. The taco bar has the best chicken tacos, and the Italian place was phenomenal. Plus, you don’t need reservations. I wasn’t a fan of the buffet as much, but they did serve great deserts! Drinks: 7.5/10. I’m not to picky on drinks, but my only complain, they make you sign after each “order”, same with food, because some guest don’t have the all inclusive package. The reason why I wasn’t a fan: 1. Because it took to long to get drinks. Some people were waiting 5-10 minutes. 2. When you were finished eating, you couldn’t leave, until you signed (they would chase you). It felt like my time was being wasted waiting for my server to come back. Entertainment: 6/10. Not saying the entertainment wasn’t good, but it wasn't my type. Although they had different “themes”, nothing I enjoyed. Also, the shows happen in the buffet. So, that means if you want to see the show, you have to eat at the buffet. They have “blinders” that they shut, so you can’t even stand on the outside and watch. Plus, if they have 2 shows, they make you get out after the first one so the next people can come in. Beach: 7/10. The water was beautiful, but too rough to swim in, and it’s on a slope, so be prepared to walk 10 or so minutes to the nearest beach. Overall: Highly Recommend.

Our one bedroom was large, clean, well designed. Beds were very comfortable and the AC was great. The food was very good and a great selection of food and drinks. The servers walking by the pools were always nice and prompt. Cons: long lines for Breakfast and dinner; the property seemed short in staff and at times we had to wait a long time until someone came to the table. The shows were great with very talented artists which we enjoyed very much! The show space was limited many people waited in line and most of the times not able to see the show. At other similar resorts the shows are separate from dinning. Just sitting/standing area so this way everyone can be part of the experience. The check in and concierge extremely slow and overwhelmed. Some, one in particular concierge lady was even rude. We also had to sign in everytime we needed to eat. No coffee available and included in the package during the day. Only for breakfast. Other than that, the resort was nice, quiet, no nightly activities, except for the show and one night dancing. The facilities extremely clean and we had a good relaxing time.

The room was had a terrible odor - incredibly smelly - musty. Also we were told we had 2 queen beds in each room and the rooms were VERY SMALL with one bed in each. We had to move our children to a separate floor. Not convenient.

The staff here is absolutely amazing from start to finish! The facility is very clean, and the sports bar quickly became our favorite spot. We rented a day bed for the duration of our trip, and it was totally worth it at $125 a day. The rooms are a bit dated, but nothing that took away from our experience. A few tips for travelers: check your currency before you come — if your U.S. bills are taped, ripped, excessively worn, or have any markings, they won’t accept them. The staff here is absolutely amazing from start to finish! The facility is very clean, and the sports bar quickly became our favorite spot. We rented a day bed for the duration of our trip, and it was totally worth it at $125 a day. The rooms are a bit dated, but nothing that took away from our experience. A few tips for travelers: check your currency before you come — if your U.S. bills are taped, ripped, excessively worn, or have any markings, they won’t accept them. The place was beautiful, our rooms were spacious. The view of the ocean was amazing from our balcony. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms. We enjoyed the activities especially the water volleyball. The restaurants had amazing food. My favorite is the carbon grill restaurant with the fresh guacamole, ceviche their sushi rolls. The only issue we had was the wait at the Bella breakfast buffet. I think it can be more organized.

2nd time being here and it has always been a good time new pools are nice and the outdoor esthetics are very cool now. However room was still a little outdated ,always clean and comfortable but wish they remolded that already. Basic WiFi was not good I kept losing connection throughout the resort.

We had an amazing time at Villa del Palmar and would consider returning. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff was fantastic. The food was also great - we didn't have a single bad meal. There was construction going on, which presented a minor inconvenience when walking around. The wifi was weak at best.

From the beginning the check out took over 40 minutes. Super disorganized and slow process. Though Luis Fernando did an amazing job and actually made me feel welcomed initially. The non waiter staff were also excellent. Like the reception, cleaning staff, or bellhop. They were the ones that treated everyone exceptionally and welcoming. For the waiters if you are light complected then you will have a good time and service. God forbid that you have any melanin or you will get discriminated. From getting placed in the back of restaurants to getting accused of breaking the rules just because you want to enjoy the “all inclusive package”. The “all inclusive package” is so misleading. They have strict limitations on what you can consume or what amenities you can use. It’s sad to see that the staff discriminates against essentially anyone that looks Hispanic. Just because the prejudice that we can’t afford such perceived luxuries. I expected better this. I’ve been to other resorts and places around Mexico and not once felt that way. I talked to a manager about it and gave me such platitudes with excuses and were dismissive. Do not recommend. I expected better from this place.

The service was excellent by the pool, show and most of the time in the restaurants. I have to say that Sergio, Nayeli and Oscar all went above and beyond for us. We traveled with our young adult children and expected this to be a lively location which it was. The beds and rooms were all clean, comfortable and well appointed. I have stayed in totally different Cabo resort for years and this one beat it in price, food quality and drink quality. The only suggestion/concern is the overcrowded pool for the number of guests. If you want to spend all day by the pool and it’s a busy time, be prepared to pick a spot and be in it by 7:00 am. Not the resorts fault but what the situation has been forced into. A suggestion would be to offer the “more experienced adults” an upgrade at a neighboring pool possibly and keep this one for the youngsters when it’s really busy. We figured it out however and everyone had a great time in our large group. This is not a quiet vacation but definitely fun and things got quiet early which was good since the parents were at the pool early scouting for the day. Honestly, we didn’t really mind and the young adults all kind of showed up in the afternoon when we were ready for a snooze before dinner. All in all a great week of vacation that won’t break the family’s bank. We also tried the spa next door which was nice if the prices don’t scare you off. Very professional. The decor could use some updating but really how much are you in your room?

My spouse & I booked this trip hoping for a relaxing getaway, especially after dealing with some difficult health issues. Unfortunately, what we got was one of the worst resort experiences we’ve ever had—we’ve been to many all-inclusives. From the moment we arrived, it was chaos. Not being able to use our phones made everything harder, especially since the resort’s system is confusing & inconsistent. We paid for the all-inclusive package, but it hardly felt that way. Every meal required signing a check. Service was painfully slow—often taking 40 minutes to 2 hours to get food or drinks, plus another 20–30 minutes to get the check. Even getting a bottle of water was a hassle, w/staff telling us we had to go to the bar instead of giving us one at the front desk. I go to Cabo every year with a group of friends. We try to change up the properties we stay at each time. This one was by far the worst out of all that I have tried. Some of the staff were super friendly others were absolutely not, including cussing an elderly man because they had 10 in their party. Restaurants took forever, 3 hours to get food & the check that must be signed even all inclusive. We missed the show several times for slow service. Not nearly enough pool chairs for the amount of people at the resort and people were getting there as early as 530 in order to claim a seat. While swimming in the pool on multiple occasions I had people trying to move stuff off the chair to claim it and felt like I couldn’t really swim because I had to guard my stuff. The buffet was lacking and I found it easier to just have room service for breakfast. The lines to get in anywhere were ridiculous and spent a large majority of my time waiting for almost anything. Offer free paddle boards, kayaks etc but they are at the neighboring resorts and multiple employees said to not bother trying as you will never get anything. The rooms were typical resort rooms but extensive mold on the walls and on the shower walls. Also beware this is a time share property so upon checking in they are going to try and hook you into their talk. Some of the group decided to check it out and lost 5.5 hours of their day to the talk.

I enjoyed my stay at Villa Del Palmar. The property is a little dated but still beautiful. Service was impeccable, and staff was super friendly. Some of the coms were that upon check-in, we were forced to meet with a “concierge” that was trying to get us to attend a presentation. That was not ok. Like I just checked-in and haven’t even been up to the room, why are you trying to sell me a time share on something I haven’t even seen. The food was hit or miss. A lot more misses than hits to be honest. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. The resort. We will stay at another location when we return to Cabo San Lucas.

Our stay was all that we envisioned and more! The resort was so clean and well-maintained and every staff member was so kind. The variety dining options was wonderful and the nightly entertainment was a real treat. Carlos took amazing care of us every day by the pool. Can’t wait for our next trip!

The beach was beautiful! Great spot to watch the sunrise, turtles on the beach most mornings as well as constant action happening in the water that you can see from the pool area above the beach. Water was rough but still able to swim most days. Hotel was a little old but renovations are in process and the hotel was still quiet and calm. Rooms were still clean cute and comfortable. Beds were stiff but still comfortable to sleep on. Food for the most part was pretty good. Breakfast buffet and poolside menu were a hit for our family. The omlet guy really knows what he's doing! The pizza by the pool was also pretty good. Dinner buffet was good 2 of our 4 nights but we're also not really bbq people and thats what we felt like the theme of one of those nights were. The night time dinner entertainment was pretty good. They work hard to put on a good show. Get to dinner really early so you can get a seat.

My family and I had a great time overall, especially since it was budget-friendly. However, the pictures were a bit misleading because they show multiple properties next to each other, but guests only have access to the Palmer. I was hoping for larger pools, more space, and access to some of the other amenities shown in the photos. That said, everything else was awesome—the location is very close to the casino, nightlife, and offers easy access to all the water activities.

After our 4th visit here, we loved it just as much as the other times. Amazing staff and by far the best food/dining experiences. We have stayed at a number of other all inclusive resorts and none of them have come close to the quality of food offered at Villa Del Palmar. Highly recommend.

The all inclusive treatment with waiting for bills and signing is pretty confusing. I felt many times it was inconvenient. The main breakfast venue was nice but wait times varied significantly whether 8/9/10 am. Surprisingly the best food was at the sport bar and the fine dining at the Italian option was lackluster with quality of food. For children swimming under, they would get close to the metal rods sticking out and is clearly a hazard no one cares about. The staff is very nice and service was good otherwise. The concierge will also surprise you with extra taxes and fees when checking out. Apparently taxes for wifi are a thing.
The all inclusive treatment with waiting for bills and signing is pretty confusing. I felt many times it was inconvenient. The main breakfast venue was nice but wait times varied significantly whether 8/9/10 am. Surprisingly the best food was at the sport bar and the fine dining at the Italian option was lackluster with quality of food. This is a solid choice for vacation. I found the dining options a bit limited and service slow in most restaurants (taco bar was the exception). The entertainment at the pool and the nightly shows were good—you could tell the entertainment crew enjoyed their jobs. The beach was gorgeous. The folks helping coordinate taxis and shuttles were very helpful.

First off, I’ve stayed in several all-inclusive hotels in Mexico and around the world, and this hotel had some of the best food I’ve encountered to date. You have different options (Italian, steakhouse, sushi, bar food) and they don’t require reservations except for one of their restaurants, Tomatillos. The room was spacious enough for me, my cousin, and her 15 yr old daughter, however the room description states that there is a sleeping couch but that was not the case. There was two queen beds and one chair (not fold out). We had an ocean view junior suite and the view was amazing! 4 chairs and a table on the balcony for everyone to enjoy the view of the property and the ocean. The biggest negative was being suckered into sitting through their presentation of their timeshares (we had our reasons, but in retrospect it was not worth it). They tell you it’ll take 90 mins, but 2,5 hours later I was annoyed and frustrated. Why they would have someone undergo this presentation on day ONE is beyond me. We hadn’t event stepped foot on the property yet, and you want me to invest in a time share when I don’t know if I’m even going to like it? Mind boggling. All in all, we had a lovely time. Would I go back? No.

Great food, great staff, great environment. However, the only issue is that they have one restaurant in the morning, which is a buffet for the whole resort and it gets really crowded. I would’ve liked to have more variety of restaurants to have been opened.

Enjoyed a week at Villa del Palmar. The food was excellent, especially the steak at Tomatillo! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice location with access to beach and pools. HTL: 10/10. Our room was very clean and had an unbelievable view. We stayed on the 6th floor and had an ocean view. The room also came stocked with drinks/snacks everyday. Food: 10/10. Best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive. The taco bar has the best chicken tacos, and the Italian place was phenomenal. Plus, you don’t need reservations. I wasn’t a fan of the buffet as much, but they did serve great deserts! Drinks: 7.5/10. I’m not to picky on drinks, but my only complain, they make you sign after each “order”, same with food, because some guest don’t have the all inclusive package. The reason why I wasn’t a fan: 1. Because it took to long to get drinks. Some people were waiting 5-10 minutes. 2. When you were finished eating, you couldn’t leave, until you signed (they would chase you). It felt like my time was being wasted waiting for my server to come back. Entertainment: 6/10. Not saying the entertainment wasn’t good, but it wasn't my type. Although they had different “themes”, nothing I enjoyed. Also, the shows happen in the buffet. So, that means if you want to see the show, you have to eat at the buffet. Our stay went better than expected considering the endless pressure to upgrade to AI. The persistent pushing for this is relentless prior to arriving, at the time you enter the building, & then even prevents you fr/reaching your room after check-in. To get to your room-your solace after a long, tiring travel exp, you must wait because your so-called concierge requires covering planned excursions/activities, restaurants, etc, after guests had been waiting @chkin, stuck in horrific traffic (pvt transfer) due to protest & staff was FULLY aware of it yet still seriously delayed paying/exhausted/& possibly unwell travelers. IMO, prices are complete overkill. AI here promotes waste & some people don't clean^ after themselves. The hard-working staff can only keep up w/so much. The guest privilege is impossible to miss & reaches a level of embarrassment. My daughter was cleaning trash repeatedly. Room was clean, beds comfy, minimal pillows-full/firm. Great kitchen. The chair padding is extremely dirty in the restaurants, mostly noticed at Bella Cali. Location is great besides the req'd trek to swimmable waters. Pool staff great. Although they have overcharged me. It appears there was a dup chrg I made pymt via CC & not to the room. Not that they supplied me w/an itemized bill... The staff was great (except for the concierge/salespeople). Bellman at the entrance, PHENOMENAL. No fault of theirs, but our luggage was basically held hostage until we finished the meeting with concierge.
