It was a great experience. Staff was friendly and courteous. They had great activities for the whole family: kayaking, volleyball, pickleball and gym in the complex are available. Only negative was the elevator of my assigned building was not working, no biggie since we could take the next building’s elevator and walk a little extra!

Enjoyed our stay and liked the option for just breakfast as we generally like to go out of the resort for lunch and dinner daily. Pools and beach were nice. Elevator was old and slow but otherwise everything was fine. Staff was great. Good value. We stayed 9 nights

Mi estancia estuvo muy bien en este resort, las instalaciones muy bien, disfruté del gym y su sauna, las albercas, pero sobre todo su personal en general todos amables y atentos, pero en especial Paty la chica que nos atendió durante nuestros desayunos, da ese plus con su sonrisa al recibirnos cada mañana. una grata experiencia hospedarse en este resort.

A nice example of a fairly well maintained hotel, with great staff, beach access and access to public transport if you’re inclined. Bed was too soft for me but fine for my wife. Overall pretty great experience.

Rafael at the pool services is excellent, he is very attentive, very nice humble man. The Asian restaurant food was good but poor service. We like the aqua aerobics/dance at the pool. The property is small. They need more pool chairs, people reserve them and by 9am they were none available. The sunsets at PV are the best!

The location is great! It’s next door to La Isla shopping mall and a 10minute taxi drive to el malecón. The staff and hospitality is great! The hotel is not too bad for its price I have to say it definitely needs to be remodeled but it not too bad I actually enjoyed it. The pools are great there is a big pool and a kids pool area. It has its own beach access and 3 restaurants and a cafe. For the price I would definitely return.

The good: Staff were great, grounds and pools were nice, beach was very nice. The rooms were clean on the surface, very dated but overall in good repair. The bad: After twelve hours of travelling we were greeted by the “concierge”: a high pressure time share salesman employed by the hotel. Two days into our stay we had to request a new room, as there was an overpowering mold smell in our room. Not visibly moldy but one wonders what is hiding behind the vents in the hvac system…it was giving us headaches and flu like symptoms which cleared up once we were out of the room for awhile. Staff were able to accommodate the switch and the new room was much better, just a faint smell by the door. The restaurants are very expensive. The hotel staff definitely cater to the all inclusive guests first and foremost. Vendors on the beach are non stop, literally every five minutes all day long. The hotel doesn’t seem to do anything to discourage them, and in fact we started to wonder if the hotel was getting a cut… Speaking of cuts: my husband cut his foot (if it hadn’t been on his very callused heel it would have needed stitches) on the very sharp metal on the legs of the patio furniture on our balcony. Accidents happen, but apparently the hotel does not have a first aid kit, as we couldn’t seem to get a band aid.

There was black mold in bathroom, the smell in the unit was horrible. I have asthma, I had to practically beg for a new room. The guy at front desk Ivan was very rude about the whole situation. Ruined our trip, had to cancel trip to Saulita because we had to check out of our room and wait for a new one

This property is in a good central location. We have stayed many times since 2007. Some things NEVER change! People ALWAYS come out in the mornings and put towels on the loungers in numerous locations and the pool concierge does absolutely NOTHING about it despite the signs telling people to not reserve chairs. I know it’s uncomfortable for staff to enforce this but it is SUPER annoying and disrespectful to all the guests walking around & around and trying to find somewhere to sit and relax. Now to the housekeeping. The floors in the rooms are not just dirty but filthy. How can they expect to clean the floors with dirty water and just push it around? It’s also super annoying that they remove face cloths and towels and don’t bother to replace them with new. I’m not sure that I would stay here again. 😖😖

A decent place, but very very dated. It is clean and the staff is pleasant. Room service is mostly responsive, but we are still waiting for the coffee packets. The concierge service is lacking. They only seem interested in you until you refuse their sales pitch and invitation for a membership presentation. Then is it like "Guest Who". Avoid the initial concierge meeting after check in if you can. Just a glorified sales pitch. If you stay in this area, you will need transportation to get around, unless you taxi everywhere. If you do rent a vehicle, be aware of the $35 per day extra liability insurance coverage which they say is "mandatory".

Our stay started out terrible! Our room was not ready and we were issued the worst room in the resort. Our room overlooked the parking lot and street. Extremely noisy! Also, we requested a King bed ( reservation made on Expedia (3) months prior). We were told none were available! We spent our first two nights sleeping in small, twin size beds, listening to the traffic noise that is 24 hours. Room was also very small and very outdated. Don’t be fooled by the term, Jr. Suite. It was a standard, small, Motel 6 type room We were upgraded the third day of our stay to a new room after making several complaints! Finally, a King bed with a view of the pool area. It finally felt like a vacation!

I really enjoyed our stay, it was really spacious we did the one bed and it looked like an apartment the bathroom was spacious, came with a living room area/ kitchen. the staff was great and there was security at night walking around. i would stay here again its really family oriented so if you have kids its perfect!

I think they need to make people aware that the two bedroom suite is not a two bedroom suite but it’s a two room separate keys separate doors. Also, we had continuous AC issues where it kept on causing condensation in the hallway, which then caused a tripping hazard.

My adult daughter and I stayed in a studio that was perfect for our needs. We were in the main building facing the mountains, and i enjoyed a sunrise coffee on my balcony every morning. We did not do all inclusive because we like to experience the fantastic food in PV, and had lots of outings planned. There is a grocery store nearby, where we stocked up. And the small market onsite for the convenience. The pool was the highlight of the hotel for us. The beach was also enjoyable. For those who smoke, the little smoking section out front was always clean and sociable. We found the location convenient, and a reasonable cab to anything you might want (or a cheap and easy bus for the adventurous). While we spent most of our time offsite, we enjoyed the hotel while we were there. Note, be prepared to wait if you want a crepe. My daughter said it was really good, but it took a very long time. I would stay here again, but i am not a fan of the planned renovations which seem to be stalled as of Dec/24.

The concierges were extremely nice during check-in. However, for the first 4 of our 10 day stay, we couldn’t walk through the lobby without one of them bombarding us to buy a time share. Each time we told them we already owned 2 timeshares and weren’t interested. After the 4th day, they were rude and wouldn’t even say hi to us. That said, all other staff were extremely pleasant. I give the concierge staff a 1 star. Other staff, especially the maids, 5 star! The room air conditioning was set at 71.5 degrees F and although rooms have thermostats, they are locked. We had to get maintenance to come in the room with a ladder to access the crawl space to adjust the temperature to 68. The room phone didn’t work so we had no way to take advantage of the 24 hour room service without using our cell to call the front desk. The tv remote control didn’t work. The bedside lamp didn’t work. The food on site was mediocre, at BEST! (Unless you get an American pizza, which was amazing. On our 5 night, after returning from a day on the beach and getting back to the resort around 10:30 pm, there were staff members changing a gas tank of one of their personal vehicles under the entrance to the resort at the FRONT DOOR! The entire lobby to include the hallways to our room reeked of gasoline the entire night and next morning.

It was great. This is our third time. (Probably our last) We would appreciate if the sales efforts could be less invasive. I did not appreciate my phone ringing several times throughout the days prior to arrival. Even when I said we did not transportation nor excursions the efforts did not stop. We only had two full days to relax so we were not wanting to do anything.
It was great. This is our third time. (Probably our last) We would appreciate if the sales efforts could be less invasive. I did not appreciate my phone ringing several times throughout the days prior to arrival. Even when I said we did not transportation nor excursions the efforts did not stop. We only had two full days to relax so we were not wanting to do anything.

We had not been to Villa Del Palmar since 1990 (35 years) so it had changed a lot. The check-in was quick & Melane was very efficient & pleasant. Our room attendant, Angela, was wonderful. We didn't eat or drink on the property as I enjoy cooking but I did think the prices were high. The only things we were unhappy with was a lack of enforcing the pool rules (no diving, etc) and no saving chairs. Unless we were up & out at 7am if was difficult to get a spot. We were also unhappy with being approached by the concierge on arrival to try & get us to a timeshare presentation. There were alot of noisy kids in both pools so it was not relaxing. We did not like that vendors (peddlers) were allowed to approach people sitting in the beach area. Other resorts have a roped off area (Villa Del Palmar in Cabo san Lucas) where they are not allowed. All in all it was good.

The hotel was clean same as our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen has everything you need, fridge, microwave, an electric stove. The hotel is in a very convenient location, you can walk to the supermarkets, take a bus downtown 10 pesos. You can take bus to Bucerías, Punta Mita and Sayulita.

Overall the property is good. We didn't do the all inclusive so i cannot comment on the restaurants. From what i was hearing the food and drinks were average like most resorts. The grounds were kept very clean and the beach,pools and staff were excellent! The gym is one of the better gyms I have used at a resort. The rooms are a bit dated but we aren't too fussy about the rooms as we don't spend much time in them aside from sleeping. Property location is probably the best part of the resort. Super close to lots of shopping ,restaurants,airport and outside activities. We walked around outside the resort during the day and night and never felt safer in Mexico.

The location is great! It’s next door to La Isla shopping mall and a 10minute taxi drive to el malecón. The staff and hospitality is great! The hotel is not too bad for its price I have to say it definitely needs to be remodeled but it not too bad I actually enjoyed it. The pools are great there is a big pool and a kids pool area. It has its own beach access and 3 restaurants and a cafe. For the price I would definitely return.

The front staff will keep trying to sell you things you don't need even after you have checked in and the same people will not even remember they tried to sell you something and act like you just arrived. This takes up your vacation time. I also needed some things in the early morning and the guy in the lobby said nothing was open, that was untrue and I was able to go to oxxo 24hrs. The food was lacking in many areas and the buffet was terrible. I thankfully did not do all inclusive as I like to go outside of the hotel to find the best restaurants but was charged $70 for orange juice pancakes we didn't eat and unripe and incorrectly cut fruit which left the hard parts of the melon and pineapple attached. I went out for a night out and came back to a clean room but a non working toliet. I know stuff like this happens but this should be handled differently. I will find other options for the future.

Fuera de eso el hotel es tranquilo, hay más extranjeros que nacionales, por lo que la preferencia es para extranjeros

This property was a huge disappointment. Pushy timeshare pitches, even calling our room daily after we declined in person several times. Extremely overpriced and mediocre quality food at tue restaurants (when theyre open). They also charge a 15% "service fee" on top of everything and then you still tip as well. I used my cc on file for charges and at one point tue pool bar "which had abysmal service, said we reached the "credit limit". I had to go to the front desk and see what was going on and it turns out, there is a 4,000 pesos/200 usd limit set when you check in that they never even mentioned to us. Needless to say, we didnt spend 1 more cent there after that incident. We will definitely not stay here or its sister propert again and would recommend to others to look elsewhere. 2/10 experience at this property.

We just finished a 10 day stay and we loved it. This is a great place to bring your family. It's in an awesome location with everything you need. The beach is great, great mall next door, restaurants nearby, grocery close by, and a short drive to downtown. We went during a very busy time and the service was still amazing. We ate at the restaurants for lunch quite a bit and it was always good and served well. Special thanks to Melany at check in for a very friendly and smooth experience and also, Magali in sales for her courtesy during the breakfast consultation.

I will do a list of positives and negatives, as there were a few of both. Postives: - Lovely pools and beach area - Helpful concierge staff (shout out Ruben) - Room was good size with a great view from the balcony - Kitchen was well-equipped - The "El Patron" restaurant was mostly very good. Negatives: - The Kids Club was a massive disappointment. The kids were not allowed to stay there as long as they wanted, we were constantly asked to pick them up and take them back again between activities. For the parents at least, that completely defeats the point. - The "La Trattoria" restaurant at lunchtime was not very good. - The air conditioning had to stay on all the time to avoid condensation collecting and making the floors slippery and dangerous. - Everytime ordering something seemed to turn into a bureaucratic exercise - ordering ice-creams using a 2x1 voucher somehow required two signatures.

The only reason why I would give a 4 star review is because of the bird problem they have at the buffet. I’m terrified of birds and they just swarm your table as you’re eating and also they are up on the buffet stealing food. Was hard to sit and relax to enjoy your food. There’s just so many of them. There was a guy there with hawk on a leash to try and scare them away but not there all the time

The stay at the hotel was fine, the staff was very nice and it’s a quick drive to/from the airport. It’s a convenient location right next to the beach. The dining options are not that great though, the service at the restaurants is terrible and the waiting times and prices are excessive. Our first room on the ground floor of the main building smelt strongly on damp, as did the second. We were finally moved to a room on the fifth floor, which didn't smell damp. All three rooms were dated, with various marks/stains on bed headboards, lampshades, bathrooms walls, etc. Restaurant and pool areas were generally pleasant and well maintained. Frustratingly, people are up early to reserve deck chairs/loungers (both pool and beach). You're lucky to find two free if arriving after 7am - the vast vast majority are unused, but are 'reserved' with towels, bags, books.
