Villa La Valencia is promoting itself as a 5 star luxury resort but it is not at that level. No welcome drink. The concierge service is not that. We never heard from or saw ours after the first day. I think he was annoyed that we didn’t want to do their “ownership presentation” (Time Share warning). The facility is beautiful and the food is delicious. Most staff are friendly and gracious. The servers around the pool were fabulous, as were the breakfast staff at the buffet. Housekeeping was inconsistent and we received turndown service 5/10 nights. The resort was quite full when we stayed and this created problems. Guests were getting down to the pool before 5:30am to claim chairs around the infinity pool and all pool loungers were taken by 8am. We ordered room service breakfast to be delivered at 7:15am and it arrived almost an hour late. Generally we enjoyed our holiday but the resort is not worth the money. The location and spa were wonderful. If you want a truly first rate experience, go to Grand Velas just up the beach. We have been there twice… incomparable luxury service!

This resort is beautiful. The check in process was fast and easy. The rooms are amazing. The motion sensor lights to the heated toilet seat are pretty awesome. The grounds are always being maintained. The 107degree hot tub was so great to relax in. Wait staff around the pools was very good. Alessandro, the wait staff on the beach always went above and beyond his duties getting you anything you wanted. He is so polite and easy to understand. Loved having him help us every day. The food on this resort is so amazing. The steaks that were served were so good. Shrimp tacos on the beach was another favorite. The guacamole here was so good I could eat it every meal. Made to order breakfasts were above and beyond expectations. There is no evening entertainment at this resort. The lazy river is something different and very relaxing. The ONLY problem at this resort we had was checking out and having extra gratuities added to our bill. Watch this and make sure you fill out the tip section on each cash out ticket you get.

The property was really good and the food and drinks were top quality the only problem is that the property don’t have any entertainment and everything close super early including the lobby bar closes at 10 pm and you have to go sleep at 10 because of that

We had a great stay with our family of 5 (3 teens) in a two bedroom suite for 4 nights. The resort is gorgeous and well maintained. We used the gym and swam in all 3 pools and tried all of the restaurants. Pros: Great room, food is excellent, pools are clean and lovely. Lazy River was a nice bonus. Loved that we could order food and eat poolside. Resort is stunningly gorgeous. Cons: The infinity pool closed on our 3rd day there. Luckily we spent day 1 and 2 there knowing it was about to close for remodeling. We weren’t expecting to hear jackhammers for the next two days so that was disappointing. Plus we lost the great views of the ocean and coastline. If you are wanting to book I would wait until after this remodel is finished. Also having the all inclusive plan and still having to close out checks poolside and at every restaurant is exhausting. We always bring plenty of cash to tip our waiters so if they were doing it for that reason, it was extra unnecessary. Y'all really need to figure out a way to not burden your all inclusive guests with these worthless bills. Literally no other resort does this. Also they were lacking in entertainment options in the evenings especially for adults. Otherwise a great family resort!

Gorgeous, new property with beautiful landscaping, pools and ocean views. The staff was amazing, friendly, gracious and so accommodating. The food was delicious, we were on the all inclusive plan and ate at the buffet-style restaurant as well as sit-down restaurants and we were happy with them all. The best food we've had at an all-inclusive. They just need to fix the housekeeping and honor bar re-fill. Our daughter's room was only cleaned once during the week we stayed there and I had to call daily to get our fridge and snacks replenished - and there were days they still didn't come. But, other than that - which should be easy to fix - we loved it and would return.

Pros: Great resort. Employees were friendly and accommodating. Room was very spacious and had two bathrooms. Favorite restaurant was the Italian Taberna but enjoyed all our meals. Kids spent so much time in the lazy river and pools. Would definitely return. Downsides: Construction is ongoing for the next month at the infinity pool area so it was closed and there was noise from jackhammers during parts of the day. Online menus not available for all restaurants which is difficult when trying to pick for picky kids. All inclusive guests have to sign checks even if there are no charges. Ocean isn’t swimmable in front of resort.

In short: This resort is not 5 stars! Had it been advertised as a 3 star hotel, I would have given it 5 stars! Pros: - the food quality was good - Pool water was heated and - it had an infinity pool with beach view Cons: - there were only 3 restaurants and one of the was a buffet. - too many things were not included in the “all inclusive” services! While we expected that the prime steak would be extra charge, we didn’t expect refilling the beer in the room would get charged! - the “ocean view” rooms are not ocean view. If you walk out in the balcony and look to your left, then you will see the ocean! Otherwise, the view of your window is the building of the resort!

Our experience was great. The room is appointed nicely and had views of the ocean and pools. The pools are clean and big. The restaurant at the pool was the best value and food in our opinion. We did not do the all inclusive and the kitchen in our two bedroom was fine for cooking meals. We were able to get to town using Uber and it was reasonable. Communication with the owner was top notch. She not only was prompt but also offered assistance above and beyond our expectations.

The suite was great but we had vip access booking & with 2 babies they put us in a room right on top the Mexican Buffett restaurant so it was loud. Not a party hotel so it was quiet by 10-10:30.

Villa La Valencia was gorgeous! The entire property was impeccable, beautiful and remarkably maintained. The service was friendly and efficient, though beware the “concierge” as it is just a way to get you into a time share pitch which will eat up 3-4 hours of your vacation time (this happens at every resort). Our room was amazing, just a double queen but it was spacious, quiet and clean. The beds were wonderful as was the bedding and pillows, everything feels luxurious! We were all inclusive and enjoyed all four restaurants, our favorite was by far the Italian and we ate there three of the 5 nights. Lots of live music, very chill vibe and a lot of fun. This didn’t have a party-vibe like some places in Cabo San Lucas, we are in our 40s and didn’t want base blaring through the night. As a matter of fact, one bachelor party came on our last day and they were a stark contrast to the rest of the guests; loud, obnoxious, belligerent. If I came back I would stay here again. The spa is INCREDIBLE! I had the best massage of my life and then got to enjoy the hydrotherapy room. The gym is immaculate and has brand-new equipment. Marcos was our server at the beach and he was THE BEST! All across an amazing experience, you can’t go wrong here.

We were traveling as a family and had reserved four rooms. Upon arrival, we were informed that there were no rooms available together. Since I was traveling with my daughter, I did not feel comfortable staying on the other side of the hotel while my family stayed on the other wing. I asked, pleaded even to look into it. Without any effort, check in person strictly said no and there was no room. My sister did the same with another check in person, and she was upgraded and got a connecting room. If was disheartening that the person I checked in with was so cold and unwelcoming. Like many places, this was resort was shortstaffed for dining services. Most restaurants with reservations had a one week waitlist, which didn’t work for us because we would only be there a week. It was a long process to get seated, served and receive our bill. Yes, even though it was all inclusive we would still receive a bill at the end of meal service in which we had to fill out our name, room number, signature, tips, and total. This seemed unnecessary since it is an all inclusive resort - magician, because I traveled with my daughter, I would receive two bills (One for her, one for me) this was excessive in my opinion. Upon check out, I received a bill in which on two occasions, someone charged “extra gratuity” , The gratuity totaled $16 which isn’t much but was not approved by me what makes it unethical. I would always place a zero on extra gratuity because I would only leave cash.

If was disheartening that the person I checked in with was so cold and unwelcoming. Like many places, this was resort was shortstaffed for dining services. The property was beautiful and we had a wonderful time. The service was excellent. Somethings to note. The beach isn't swimmable. This is a Wellness and membership resort. It's very relaxing but there aren't any entertainment shows at night. The membership presentation was supposed to be 90 minutes however I felt like I was being held hostage after 3.5 hrs. After I said no 6 times I thought I was leaving to collect my discounted excursion vouchers but was taken into another room to be hassled by another sales person. It was awful. Other than that everything else was great. We were then able to enjoy the rest of our trip.

Check in was easy. They try to pressure you in buying a timeshare *dont do it”. Rooms: clean and very modern. Restaurants: decent but not many options at all. Buffett was very limited. Same stuff everyday. Service at the restaurants besides the pool and the steakhouse were very slow. No one pre bussed their tables, drinks arrived way late and it took forever to get your tab. *need to sign for everything*. Looked like they had way more guest than servers. Pool was nice but really warm. Beach is off limits to swim due to the current. Property was clean. Very limited on activities. Shows at el patron only lasted for an hour. For the amount of money you spend for an all inclusive, I would recommend another resort. Wouldn’t be surprised I get an automated response back from the resort.

The place was clean and fairly new. The pool staff and pool service was good. Room service was quick and the food was good. Overall the food was very good, however the restaurant service was poor. It is a new resort so many things are still working and functioning super good, amazing staff and good food. But you need a splash park/slide for kids. Two things we don't like is. 1) signing a cheque after every meal for an all inclusive resort, is not necessary and a waste of time. One of the worst experiences at an all inclusive. Each and every item (bottle of water even) needed to have a receipt printed, presented, you have to write your room #, name and sign. For "inventory". Each time we wanted food or drinks - min one hour. Even for a salad. 12 year olds with wristbands denied ANY FOOD OR WATER because they were told they were not allowed to sign. They had to get me, I had to get out of the pool, walk and sign for every morsel of food or drink. 45 min for a towel to the room and pool bins frequently empty. Waited over an hour for coffee to the room (because the coffee packet was just a welcome gift and not replenished) and eas served a pot of hot beige water (like they forgot to brew with grounds). That was it! I called the manager and blew my top - we were all having a miserable.time. AND we had friends that also were staying. They had 2 teens and 2 adults and given One king and one cot. For a week. We had one day the staff was on high alert but my friends said it went downhill supersonic fast after that. Just an awful, awful waste of a beautiful property and waste of our time and money. We have been to many all inclusives around Mexico and thought we\'d "treat" ourselves. Ended up with a huge trick.

Property was gorgeous and staff were very helpful and polite. This hotel has everything you could want at an all inclusive! Food and drinks were great at every restaurant! We had such a fun and relaxing time. We have already recommended this place to family and friends! Also loved that it was right in between San Jose and Cabo San Lucas - easy Uber rides to each. Our only complaint was if you didn’t get a reservation for dinner, there was pretty much no option besides room service, which takes forever and isn’t anything special in terms of quality. They do warn you about reservations, but of course, plans can change and then you’re stuck. They should have another small market available at dinner time for those who need it. All and all, an amazing stay though!!

The property is conveniently located between downtown Cabo and San Jose. Hotel is brand new and rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Laundry in room was a bonus. Lazy river is fun for kids and a great workout for adults walking opposite direction. Gym was fabulous and had great equipment. Spa was coed for main area and had wonderful amenities- jacuzzi, plunge pool, jets, sauna, etc. They do add a $40 facility fee and don’t tell you. That was disappointing. Three places to eat - two required reservations and one was a walk up. Food was pretty good - not amazing. We couldn’t get a reservation for the first night since people book for the entire week. The buffet dinner was not great but maybe that was because it was Carribean night?! Drinks at restaurants were well done. The servers work really hard! But the hardest part at this hotel during December is that you had to wake up SOO early on vacation (6:30am) to get seats by the ocean / pool view. Seats on the north side of the hotel were often cold and in the shade. Also the pools towards the back got very little service because they are so far from the bar/grill. We learned the first day and then service was better by moving closer towards the beach/restaurant. The seating situation would disuade us from returning again. We wanted to be on vacation but we did get to see great sunrises.

Highly recommend this resort. The kids had a blast utilizing all the pools and the lazy river. Service, cleanliness, rooms and food were 10/10. Would definitely go back. It’s beautiful! If you’re planning on swimming in the ocean, this resort has a black flag warning so you can’t.

Nice newer property, clean. Avoid the sales pitch if possible. Very enjoyable dining options and very good food. Staff is a bit hit or miss and never sure how much to tip. Lovely pools but don’t think they’ll cool you off in July…. Only real dislike is no swimming on beach’s as too dangerous. Quiet place so if looking for action and activities maybe go elsewhere

The resort and accommodations for our family vacation were exceptional. This is definitely a luxury resort and the staff were amazing. The view from the unit is stunning. It overlooks the pool and the pacific ocean. We had a wonderful stay. The only downside to our trip was the location was quite a distance from the town area so we had to use Uber to get out to shops and different restaurants. Overall I would definitely recommend. The resort is amazing!

Very expensive for the stay. The food is horrible and they don’t put liquor in your drinks but they claim that they do. It’s not a lot to do on the resort. They don’t have any good places to eat on the resort either. The wait for my room was 4 hours long when I arrived and they also charge you an extra $600 when you check in which I was not aware of before I got there.

It’s a beautiful hotel with great looking rooms. However, the restaurants were fully booked. The service at the Italian restaurant was horrible- waiting 30-45 minutes to get a table, and then 1 hour more to get the food served. The Steak house was super professional- but to get a table you must be at the opening at 3:00 to even have a chance to get a table- if you are staying for more than three days that is… The Buffet is open, but also here there was a lot of waiting. Especially when there was entertainment- people would finish their food and enjoy the show while hungry guests were waiting for a table. The pool was dirty, but a lot of space. Not overcrowded. Children should wear earplugs in the water to avoid getting ear infections… There is not much to do for children, except for the pool and kids club, no playground. It was great joining the karaoke in the evening- that was amazing🙌

We stayed over the Christmas break, 2023. The Pros: very clean, new property. Our suite was very nice and the pools were great. Cons: early every morning we tried to make a reservation at the steakhouse or Italian restaurant. We were never able to get anything earlier than 9pm, which is very inconvenient with children. We would show up before our reservation, and even though there were tables free, we were told we had to wait. It was our impression that they wanted as many people to go to the buffet as possible (presumably the lower cost option for the hotel). Service, although friendly, was slow. Food quality was average overall, certainly not fine dining. The pool area is significantly lacking in seating, resulting in groups standing around trying to find space. In 5 days we only got a seat at the pool once. Service at the pool was very slow for drinks. Overall, it seems like they didn’t have enough staff for the number of guests they have. In short, if we go back to Cabos, we will try somewhere else. The quality was far from what we expected for the price we paid.

As a result, every time we tried to go to the Steak house or the Italian restaurant, we got very late time slots (9:00 pm or later). This needs to be communicated with all the guests from Expedia, Costco, etc. Also, people leave their towels on the pool chairs early in the morning and leave :) it is impossible to find a chair or recliner by the pool even though nobody is using them !!! Getting a table at the restaurants and seating by the pool was a big challenge :(

This was my first time going to this property. It was very clean and noticeably a newer property. All of the staff were extremely warm, welcoming, and kind. I got the all-inclusive package which was convenient. This package took a little bit of time to get used as we still needed to sign a check after EVERY transaction for food. There was only one buffet available for breakfast. Lunch had the buffet, poolside restaurant, and the Italian restaurant to choose from. The dinner options were the steakhouse, Italian restaurant, and the buffet. And, room service was available. All the food was great. Like I said, the worst part is having to wait for a bill to come when you really just want to get up and walk off your really full tummies. It would’ve been nice to have Moore walk up bars available but I figured out that if you just hang out around the pool, the waiters will bring you drinks. Again, you have to wait for the bill. I got used to this by constantly telling myself that I am on vacation and there is no hurry. I would tell myself that dinner IS the event, and there was nothing else to do but calm down relax and enjoy. The facilities were beautiful. There were always workers straightening the grounds, and this attention to detail was visible as you walked around the beautifully maintained grounds. In the evening I noticed, they scrubbed down the walkways and around the pools. Again, everything in the resort was very clean. The resort was very quiet, which I like.
This was my first time going to this property. It was very clean and noticeably a newer property. All of the staff were extremely warm, welcoming, and kind. I got the all-inclusive package which was convenient. This package took a little bit of time to get used as we still needed to sign a check after EVERY transaction for food. There was only one buffet available for breakfast. Lunch had the buffet, poolside restaurant, and the Italian restaurant to choose from. The dinner options were the steakhouse, Italian restaurant, and the buffet. And, room service was available. All the food was great. Like I said, the worst part is having to wait for a bill to come when you really just want to get up and walk off your really full tummies. Villa La Valencia is an amazing resort located in the tourist corridor. We have 2 kids (ages 8 and 11) and we stayed for 9 nights. Our room was fantastic - lots of space for everyone to spread out in. Fully equipped kitchen was amazing and daily housekeeping service with evening turn down. The resort is 5 star! All the pools are warm and clean. We ate a few times at the restaurants on property. Service was great and food outstanding but expensive. Communication with the owner/property manage was outstanding - Amy always wrote back to me extremely quickly answering any questions I might have. We would definitely stay here again.
