Construction taking place. I think it was the restaurant under construction. Lots of restaurants around the area. Only real issue is the Limited parking. I got lucky and was able to get a parking spot. Parking spots are for small cars. If you have a truck, good luck. View was stunning from our patio. Patio is for standing only. Chair does not fit on the patio. But the view is worth standing and watching the sunset.

Under construction! It’s a tall, concrete, rather soulless hotel in a long line of hotels just like it. The pool is outside the front lobby- no real seclusion. The beach is dirty but swimmable.if you have to stay here, try to get an ocean view. But the Zona Dorada is not for those who want a tranquil getaway.

The ocean view from the room was the highlight. Otherwise my husband & I had concerns with the pigeon excrement in and around the pool area, so I was hesitant to use the pool. The staff seemed indifferent at times but the cleaning staff seemed attentive. The rooms look well used could use an upgrade.

My stay at the hotel over the weekend was excellent! The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the pool area was well-kept with an amazing view of the ocean. The buffet food was delicious, with plenty of variety to choose from. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. I also loved that convenient stores, bars, and restaurants were within walking distance, which made everything even easier. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

La atención de todo el personal muy bueno, particularmente la recepción. La limpieza deja mucho que desear, inclusive el sanitario no estaba limpio, tenía gotas que quiero pensar eran agua... La habitación cómoda. La alberca en mal estado, está deteriorada y el piso alrededor en muy mal estado.Ademas los huéspedes no colaboran ya que se meten directo de la playa así que está esa área muy sucia de arena... La playa es pública y al lado está el ingreso público, así que la verdad nones una experiencia agradable. La verdad las fotografías no corresponden al estado actual del hotel.

This Holiday Inn exceeded our expectations as compared to others. Room was spacious, exceptionally clean, bed was comfortable, housekeeping were excellent. Only suggestions are that it would be nice to have a small mini fridge to keep refreshments cold. Wifi worked well but we had to sign in every day & Apple phone was a bit difficult to sign in initially. * Buffet was only on weekends * Noise from bands is noticeable but didn’t bother us

This is a n ew hotel with some construction still in progress (Nov 2025). The front door man is a very friendly and helpful fellow. The shower floor is slippery when wet and needs a grab handle. Parking is underground and still under construction. Excellent beach views.

Overall pleased with the hotel. Rooms were very nice and clean, and the view was spectacular. Great location. Overall great service. My only complaint is that they were stingy with water and coffee. There were nice water dispensers in the lobby, but they filled them only once in the morning and by noon they were empty, and only 2 small bottles brought to the room per day. No coffee available in the lobby. Maybe this is the way that hotels are in Mexico, if which is the case I would award 5 stars due to the coffee, but the water issue should be rectified. If these things would not bother someone I would suggest this hotel.

Only two elevators. You can wait a long time for an elevator if the hotel is busy. Large groups are extremely loud on the beach and go until the wee hours of the morning. Pool area food service is minimal at best. Rarely does any of the staff come to your area to ask if you need anything from the bar or to eat. I was honestly expecting better from this hotel.

No me gustó que el del Bar es muy grosero, me robaron dos toallas las dejé dentro de la habitación y tuve que pagarlas , también el de seguridad de la alberca muy grosero para decir que no se pueden tener hieleras . Si deberían de decir ya que nadie ve el reglamento . Las piñas coladas la primera muy rica ya después no le ponen alcohol . y fue muy grosero, obviamente gente frac de ya está harta , pero si deberían de poner a gente que realmente disfrute de su trabajado. La señorita de seguridad bien, fue amable y me ayudó a subir mi hielera y fue muy atenta. Jamás regresaría a ese Hotel gracias.

Let me start off by saying that Mazatlan is my favorite place to go on vacation. We visit a few times a year and always choose a different hotel for the experience. This hotel is in a great location, however, the customer service is not great. Upon arrival, the lady that helped us was bitter because I always prepay for my room and she wasn't able to upsell or have me add to our stay. As soon as she saw I prepaid, it was an unpleasant attitude towards us the entire time. We didn't even receive towels while we were there. The coffee wasn't refilled in our room and when we went downstairs to ask for a packet of salt we were denied. It was in a way where this lady made us feel like we were horrible people for asking for salt. I have never been treated so poorly. She was very condescending. I asked for towels and they never showed so we went and bought our own. We got stuck in the elevator because she never told us how to use our room key for the elevator and we weren't the only ones. Then on a different day the elevator broke down and she had an "oh well" kind of attitude. Luckily for us that we don't let things like that ruin our vacation. We still had a great time, but not at the hotel at all. Never again.

Dos personales de seguridad nos hicieron pasar un mal rato, al no darse cuenta que nuestros jerseys de natación, era de natacion y pideron k nos lo quitaramos.... en un tono muy grosero... alndarse cuenta que estaban en un error, no se disculparon, y buscaron otro tema para pelearnos en publico... Pesimo servicio de esos dos, tambien eso era alentado por la de servicio de la alberca que siempre tuvo su cara de amargada!¡ Si no saben estar en el area de servicio al cliente, mejor no deberian tenerlos ahi.

Todo excelente en cuestión de instalaciones y playa, lo único malo fue el servicio. Mala recepción sin explicar nada. La regla era que no podía haber hieleras en la alberca, pero la gente que estaba en el bar quitaba bolsas hasta en los camastros para obligarte a consumir en el bar y eran muy groseros.
