Hotel Le Notre Dame Saint Michel

Very good location and well priced. It is a three star hotel but has a lift and air conditioning however these only go from level 1 so you need to get them to level 1 via the stairs yourself, there is no porter staff. Despite the busy location it is very quiet and has a great view from the room if you have the Notre Dame room. The crepe restaurant downstairs is also very good

Quirky property. Clean and quiet. Good location. But no elevator from street up to first floor lobby. If you have heavy suitcases, you need to carry them up yourself. No one will help you. Rooms are small, but then most rooms in Paris are small. Staff started out friendly but when I asked how to use the coffee machine, the lady got exasperated and almost threw a fit.

Great location!!! Clean, cute! Lots of stairs but there was an elevator but still flight of stairs to get up. And a couple to the elevator. Bed was so comfy!

The place is nice, but everything is small. The staircase is small, the elevator is small, the bathroom area is very small. Your leg touches the glass window of the shower when using the toilet. Expedia shows that they have a laundry service, but they do not. We ended up having to go to a self-service laundromat which was fine, but this derailed some of our plans. I emailed Expedia, but who knows when they will update their listing.

Charming Hotel, beautiful decor, comfortable bed by Seine River in the Latin Quarter with view of Notre Dame Cathedral. Many restaurants, shopping, however no parking, public parking was a distance. Small elevator, made several trips up the elevator to bring in luggage. Had to carry luggage up 1st floor to reach 2nd floor elevator. Staff did not offer to help carry.

Parking nearby is hard to find. No parking option at the hotel . No valet . No spaces . Rooms were small . Elevator was scary.

Staff was pleasant and helpful, hotel lacked a few amenities. AC didn't seem to work, and while the weather was nice outside police sirens prevented sleeping with the windows open. Also, no mini fridge in the room.

Considerar que el primer piso NO tiene asensor por lo que se deberán cargar las maletas hasta el segundo piso para acceder a la habitación (con asensor desde el 2do piso hacia arriba) Instalado justo frente a Notre Dame y con mucha variedad de restaurantes y pequeños cafes a su alrededor al igual que de tiendas con para comprar souvenirs

Toilet was not working and was not fixed upon request. Poor soundproofing around the door and windows. Noisy area into late night, so we had trouble getting much sleep. Tiny elevator, only accessible on top of two flights of stairs. Giant creepy painting reproduction above the bed. Velour on walls gives the room a dusty feel. Service was ok otherwise, the location was very close to Notre Dame, and the shared washroom on the second floor was very clean.

To begin with, I’m not a review guy - I never write them but this time I felt it was absolutely necessary. We thought the hotel itself was really cute. Great location, decent service, but honestly we didn’t know what to expect, and so we’re happily surprised when it turned out to be decent. Yes, the hotel rooms are small and the shower is just a tub, but you’re not going to Paris to stay in your hotel .. and we made it work. The surprise came 3 days into staying in the hotel when we realized that we started feeling itchy. It was uncomfortable and I thought it was just allergies. When we came back home and went to the doctors, we realized that we caught scabies which were highly likely to have come from the hotel bedsheets not being clean. I contacted the hotel to let them know, and in a typical response they were very dismissive, not willing to take any responsibility, or take any action to look into the matter or address it .. they simply said “we are not responsible for it” and argued that I could’ve gotten it from somewhere else. Which usually I would be open to investigating further, but the reality is THIS was the only hotel we stayed at during our entire visit to Paris, which matched the incubation period for scabies. Needless to say, I would never stay there again and would highly recommend you look at other options.

Our rom stunk first I thought it was just from the river but there was some kind of plumbing issue otherwise it was nice

This hotel has the best view of Notre Dame. Our room on the other hand smelled of sour milk. I think this is from the scoops being sold beneath the room. If you are looking for quiet this is not for you. The location is good for access to the Latin Quarter, RER B and Notre Dame. The boat ride on the Seine can be accessed near the Henri IV statue on the Ile de la Cite.

My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice. There were a lot of shops and cafes nearby. And, of course, the best thing … the location right along the Seine and across from Notre Dame! Also, near Shakespeare Bookshop. My views from my room were brilliant.

Desk staff was great. The view, of course, was great. I wish I could say the room was great. The bed was good, clean linens. But the rest of the room, especially the bathroom, was not especially clean. Carpet wasn't freshly vacuumed. Hairs in the tub, etc. Can't beat view of Notre Dame and location, but it is what it is.

Our stay at this hotel was quite disappointing due to several significant issues. First, the room was extremely dusty, which unfortunately led to both me and my partner developing rashes on our legs. The noise level was another major problem. The hotel is situated on a busy, touristy street with bars nearby, and because the windows are not soundproof, we were constantly disturbed by the loud noises of people drinking late into the night. Adding to the disturbance, our visit coincided with the Olympics, resulting in frequent police sirens and ongoing road construction that continued well past midnight. The lack of soundproofing made it almost impossible to get a good night’s sleep, as we were repeatedly woken up by the noise outside. The bathroom design also left much to be desired. There was no door or curtain in the shower, which meant that every time we used it, water splashed everywhere, essentially flooding the bathroom. The hotel itself is an old building, and it shows. The floors were creaky and uneven, and the rooms were poorly insulated, allowing us to hear every footstep in the hallway and noise from downstairs. To make matters worse, the toilet had no ventilation or window, causing unpleasant odors to linger for a long time. While the hotel’s location may be convenient for those wanting to be in the heart of the action, the numerous drawbacks—poor soundproofing, dust, and outdated facilities—made our stay uncomfortable and unsatisfactory.

The staff were friendly and polite. The room was clean.

The location of this hotel simply could not be beat, at least for my plans on my 3 day trip. It was SO centralized for me. And right off the metro. I ended up getting a double queen room on the 3rd floor with a view of Notre Dame. Talk about a win. I’ve read rooms can be small but I’d say the room I had was very spacious. Walls are pretty thin tho, I couldn’t hear anyone but those opening and closing doors throughout the night felt like my door was opening. I can’t really say anything about the service as I was gone most of the day and didn’t need anything but the front desk was still polite nonetheless. Based on the location itself, I would totally stay here again.

To begin, the older gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and polite. The women who helped with breakfast - again very helpful and polite. The issues I experienced were the WIFI was non-existent on the 6th floor - unusable! … the second was our shower ran out of hot water, and we were simply told - take a shower later. Unfortunately, we aren’t happy with the service. They locked us out, when they claim they have 24/7 front desk service. We were almost late for our train. We were knocking and calling for 20 minutes without knowing when/if they would come back!! I paid more for the room with Notre Dame view, but they gave me one with a tiny window were you had to open it to look outside, I will attach pictures. When people were in the corridor you could hear them, we woke up many times. When they opened their door was as if they were opening our door. The rooms are nicely renovated with good toiletries. Good aircon. Nice and clean. Their breakfast costs too much for what it is, but quality is ok. Per person they offer 1 croissant, 1 tiny pain au chocolate, 1 other pastry, piece of baguette, jam, 1 yogurt, coffee or tea and juice. You can eat cheaper anywhere around.

The breakfast was probably one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The view was absolutely incredible! The only downside was our room was on the sixth floor and my husband is 6 foot 3 and the bathroom ceiling was extremely low for using the toilet. Other than that, it was perfection! The bath tub was big and deep and nice hot water. It was walking distance to so many things and the staff were all really nice.

The view from the room as AMAZING !!! We opened the window and there was Notre Dame !!! If you want an Old World style hotel, then this is your place.

Excellent location across from Notre Dame. Quirky and different decor. Nice staff, clean rooms. There are stairs to climb up to the lobby, but an elevator for the upper floors. Only two rooms have showers and the rest have deep tall tubs and are not accessible friendly. The breakfast was on the light side with yougurt and lots of bread and pastry items.

Liked the location to sites, restaurants and the Metro. It’s a lively and fun area! I know it’s common for European hotels, but the rooms are tiny. The bed was quite firm (if that’s good for you), There was no true shower, rather a tub with a curtain and then a handheld sprayer, but no way to hang it for hands free use. Very awkward. Staff were wonderful.

A very nice Parisian hotel in a fantastic location. Notre Dame Cathedral, the Siene and a metro station only moments away. Our loft room was very quirky but clean and spacious enough offering great street and cathedral views. Surrounded by plenty of eating places. As a tallish and cuddly couple the toilet and bathroom presented its challenges as the walls were close and the ceiling sloped. There wasn't a shower but a hand held shower hose attached to the bath. A traditional French breakfast was on offer so no bacon eggs or toast but still a fulfilling breakfast and all part of the experience. Despire the challenges of the bathroom we would stay there again.

My experience at this hotel was disappointing. The staff member Henry was particularly rude and unfriendly throughout my stay. I was also unfairly charged for an extra day of breakfast for two people, even though I was the only one who ate. Strangely, my friends who stayed at the same hotel weren’t charged the same. The room itself was very small and uncomfortable. Noise was a constant issue — police sirens and people shouting outside made it nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

I had read previous reviews and knew the hotel was quirky. My husband is coeliac I had emailed the hotel prior to arrival and explained that my husband needed a gluten free diet, but I didn’t get a reply. On arrival when we checked in I explained this again to the man on the desk and asked if a gluten free breakfast could be provided for my husband. His exact words were absolutely not it’s a continental breakfast, I asked if gluten free bread could be provided as we had payed for breakfast and again he said no. We ended up buying gluten free bread and bringing it to the breakfast room. We have been to Paris before and previous hotel had provided a gluten free option for my husband. We would definitely go back to the same area but not the hotel. All the staff were professional and approachable except for the man on the reception, so much so that when he was on we would not ask him any questions.

Staff was excellent help me with my luggage. Just spend one night, but it was a good time very clean spotless great view.

The staff was outstanding and offered numerous places to eat. They arranged for taxi service a few times so we would get a good driver.

This hotel is wonderful. The staff was kind, helpful and friendly. The location is great. There is so much to see and do within walking distance. There was a beautiful view of Notre Dame from the breakfast area. We highly recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff was incredibly rude and tried to charge me several times for things that had already been paid for, and that I had paid for on the spot. This is totally unacceptable and I didn’t feel welcomed in their facility from the time I arrived to even now well after leaving the hotel. Disgraceful

From start to finish, this hotel was just perfect for my 4 day solo trip to Paris. Easy direct train access from CDG airport. Direct RER and metro with the station just minutes away. The area has cafes and restaurants everywhere. Hotel staff were very helpful. The room was just perfect with everything I had hoped for including an amazing view of the Seine and Notre Dame. Will definitely stay here if I ever returned to Paris.

As the name indicates, Hôtel Le Notre Dame Saint Michel is just accross the Seine from Notre Dame's church: we could even see it from our room's window. It's also conveniently located in the Latin district which has its bars and restaurants opened until late. It's great since you can go around the city all you want and still come back to a nice dinner in a bar, pub or restaurant a few feet away from the hotel. The rooms have very stylish decorations and are really comfy and clean. The staff was good: they even gifted us a Notredame souvenir! Still, our main takeaway from the hotel is the location, since we walked the city all day long and didn't come back until late to a gorgeus and lit up Notre Dame that was just a bridge away from us! Very recommended.

Location for the Notre Dame is the primary reason to sty here. It's a classic old school Paris Hotel, very eclectic.

The hotel is perfectly located for anyone visiting Paris wanting a central location that has great transport links to airports an all the surrounding sights. The hotel amenities are a little limited compared to higher priced hotels but for its location you get a completely sufficient breakfast with views of Notre Dame Cathedral. Ultimately the staff make this hotel an absolute gem in the centre of Paris.

Fun decor! Great location across the street from Notre Dame Cathedral and a subway/train stop. Dining options abound, too.

Great location across from Nitre Dame. Loved hearing the bells in the morning. Walkable to most of the major attractions, lots of dining options, and less than a block away from Metro and RERB which goes directly to airport. Also elevator from RERB to street level just steps away so you don’t need to carry your bags up the stairs. Unfortunately didn’t see it until after we arrived

This hotel is right amongst the tourist and restaurant district. Right on top of Notre Dame, Ile de Cite and Ile St Louis, and also on top of a metro/RER station. Eating options are endless. It’s a direct route to and from the airport from here which made travelling around Paris super easy. The main concern for me was that we had three days of cold showers in the middle of winter. The first two days the water would be hot and then after a minute would go cold. The third day there was no hot water at all. The other thing I didn’t like was that the foyer always smelled horribly smoky, but that’s Paris for you, with its more relaxed smoking laws. Because the hotel is in the heart of all the action, it was often quite noisy into the night with sirens and people making noise on the street, but I didn’t mind too much. Make sure you pay extra for a Notre Dame view - it’s beautiful.

The breakfast was very good - promptly served and nice variety of French breakfast foods. A fabulous variety of restaurants, shops and famous Paris sites are all just outside the hotel.

部屋からノートルダム大聖堂が見え、地下鉄やRER駅も直ぐの最高の立地でした。 朝食もとても美味しいバケットとクロワッサンを楽しめました。 トイレの水の流れに問題があったのですが、スタッフが直ぐに部屋まで見に来て対応してくれ、翌日には業者が入って直ってました。 2階のフロントまでは階段しかないので思い荷物は要注意です。

Es un hotel antiguo muy bien ubicado. Tiene buen aislamiento de ruido externo. Lo único defraudante es el desayuno: pan/jugo/café o chocolate.

Lovely area and location with view of Nore Dame. However, bathroom very tiny and difficult to shower with water going everywhere which was very annoying. Breakfast good but rather expensive.

We did not pay attention & booked a room that was a loft room that had a staircase to the bed. Our fault but be careful. GREAT location. Friendly staff. GREAT pastries for breakfast.
