The Claridge has so much potential and I hope someone one invests in improving it. Pros: convenient to boardwalk/beach, staff was nice, Rooftop restaurant a plus and connected to a dispensary if that’s your thing, walkway to nearby casino Cons: Two out of five elevators were working which led to long wait times on the weekend. Pool was dirty (hair, debris floating), outdated decor. Affordable but I would suggest staying Sunday or during the week when it’s less crowded.

The hotel was nice, parking is a scam as a guest for the weekend I paid $53 because apparently the hotel doesn't own the parking lot. I like the easy access to the casino. I was excited to go to The Vue but it has very limited seating.

The room needs a microwave, the handle to the shower sliding door was broken. The toilet bowl had turned brown. Customer service was not professional. The water in the vending machine was too expensive for the size that was dispensed. The elevators were always crowded. I did like the roof top bar and view. I also loved the boardwalk.

The hotel is located on the boardwalk, which is pretty nice. However, we were looking forward to enjoying the pool, and while I expected it to be a bit dated, I didn’t expect it to be as dirty as it was. We went in the water but felt unclean afterward. I felt bad asking my mom to join us—she was hesitant at first but eventually did. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families, especially if you plan to use the pool. The room was okay, and I could tell the staff did their best, but overall, this place just wasn’t for me.

great location, good for the money ! it's quiet plenty of elevators, rooms are nice and clean , it has a nice size gym and pool . you can just walk to find food the boardwalk its just steps away. no casinos, but Ballys is next door it connects .

Parking is $25 + tax per day as a hotel guest on or off street. We arrived on time for check in and was told we had to wait for rooms to be cleaned. Elevator wait times are outrageous. We waited up to 25 minutes for an elevator. They cleaned our room and took our dirty linen without replacing them. It took almost 6 hours to get more linen. Queen beds are more like twin beds although they were comfortable. It smells old in the hallways. Carpets could use cleaning. And on and on.

The pool there is a joke. The food at the restaurant, in the hotel had to be the most unseasoned food I've tasted. The hotel is outdated, and the beds were horrible the middle of the bed sank in. The rooms needed to be cleaned better.

I would not recommended this hotel rooms have bad smell bathroom was not finish painting . The faucet to take a shower is so wrong installed , when I was going to open the faucet to take a shower all my clothes got wet it’s hard to open . Terrible I stayed 8 years ago and everything was nice . We didn’t have any body can bring all the bags and stuff we have 2 stroller with babies and no help at all . I will not recommend this hotel to Jo body

The room was not clean and smelled musty upon our arrival. The floors looked like they needed to be vacuumed. We cleaned out the sink and shower ourselves. When we mentioned it at the front desk they only took off the $18 resort fee and wouldn't do anything else. Also, make sure to watch your receipt - we self parked and they charged us a valet fee. We paid for our parking when we arrived. I am really disappointed in the Claridge hotel. We have stayed here numerous times over the last five years and we have never had this bad of an experience. The only other issue we have ever had, funny enough in the same room we stayed in this past weekend, was that the AC didn't work and they moved us to another room down the hall.

Obvious that room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Found someone's dirty underwear under the chair and cotton swabs under the sink. They dont move things or get the edges when they vacuum. The bed was clean and comfortable. Long walk to elevators.

The room had roaches spoke to the manager. They didn’t care. Also charge was done to my credit card that wasn’t supposed be there manager. Didn’t care also had an attitude the area around the hotel had lots of homeless,personal unsafe.

There are 5 elevators and I believe two were working during our stay for the entire hotel. We used the stairs for most of our stay but we were on the twelfth floor. The bed was broken and was not a king sized mattress. We fixed it but it broke overnight. Lastly the toilet was NOT fastened to the floor and easily could have fallen off! Close to the boardwalk. Staff was pleasant and helpful when we got locked out of our room.

The hotel is very clean and well managed, the view from the hotel is beautiful. We didn’t really stay in the hotel. In part due to the elevators taking 20-25 minutes for each use. Also for $300 a night the bathroom (specifically the shower) should be bigger.

The wait for the five elevators going busy times took quite a while to get back to your room or down from your room. The doors on the rooms have absolutely no insulation and you can hear everything from the hallway and other rooms. It’s an old hotel but in OK shape it is in a good location and easy to get in and out of

This was a great stay for the price! Super close to the boardwalk with ocean views. While it did seem that only a couple elevators were working, we never waited longer than a few minutes if that. Checkin was slow, it appeared there was always a line of folks through the lobby waiting to check in. Our initial room had a couple issues, the plugs didn't work and neither did the phone. They resolved this by upgrading us to a fantastic suite! Overall, we would definitely stay here again. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we appreciate the more "dated" charm of older hotels.

Room had an odor of “old”. Hotel needs major renovations and I didn’t like the motion censor for the air conditioning. It would stop when we were a sleep. Had to get up so it can turn back on.

Stayed here during the July 4th weekend. Hotel was nice, had an older vibe but overall very nice. Room was a bit hot (lack of AC), but very nice for a last minute booking. Boardwalk was a 3 minute walk and very convenient.

Location to the center of everything is the main perk of this hotel. Check in took over an hour but that was no fault of the front desk staff who were all very kind, they were just under-staffed. The elevators also took excessively long due to the amount of people accessing them. Otherwise, the room itself was the quality to be expected.

Not bad for the price. Hotel decor is very antique but goes with the vibe of the hotel. Check in was not great long line but staff was nice. I did enjoy all the antique pictures on the wall showing the boardwalk and hotel in its hay day.

Staff was wonderful and friendly...my friend who has MS...was so hsppy they let us check in early...as he has multiple issues...also they helped us find parking for the handicapped van that was 9ft1" so we couldnt use any parking garage...they were just incredible!

Location is central and price is better than the casino properties nearby. Lack of functioning elevators caused massive traffic jams during weekend check in and check out. Room was not ready when I got there at 6 PM despite a quoted 4 PM check in time.

Check in took an hour waiting in line , when I checked in the guy said there were no towels in my room but he will make sure there will be, it is now almost midnight, the towels are still not here, I called the front desk 15 minutes ago and the towels are still not here, never ever ever coming back here

The check in process was terrible. Check in is as 4pm. I arrived around 4:15 to a very long line. I reached the desk around 5pm to be told my room still wasn’t ready. We had plans for dinner before a concert at 7:30 so after waiting 45 minutes in line, this was disappointing. They said they would call me when the room was ready. We drug the luggage back to the parking garage and went to dinner. By 6:30, we were finished and still no call. I called, and they said I could check in. We finally got in the room at 7. I asked for late check out, which I had to argue for. I thought I was being very reasonable, I couldn’t use my room for 3 hours, staying an extra 2 was all I asked for. The elevators were very crowded and slow. People were waiting for long periods of time, one customer said after 30 min wait the day prior they just did 21 flights of stairs. The room itself is ok. It was outdated but clean with a comfortable bed.

Location was convenient to the boardwalk. No over head or vanity lights in the bathroom and bedroom!' Extremely dim lighting!!! My remote control had electrical tape to hold tge batteries! My refrigerator was caked with freezer ice! It needed defrosted! I did swap it out for a different refrigerator. Female valet was rude (Lorren)!

OK it is the Claridge Hotel, one of the oldest existing hotels in the city. It's showing its age everywhere you go in the building. Let say thought that the fitness center was great even thought pool was unfit to use. The Twenties Restaurant was GREAT! Loved their Chicken and Waffles. The pathway to BALLY's was good because it took you to a nice food court. The rooms were dated. The smells around the place was weird. It was historic, but it needs more renovation.

Across the hotel is a wonderful, little park, Brighton Park, also a war memorial for the Korean war. Unfortunately, the park is now a place where the homeless have decided to take up residence. Imagine walking out of the hotel to see homeless people, shopping carts, quite unsavory (I saw one man urinating). I will NEVER stay at the Claridge again. It may be the city's fault for allowing the homeless to stay, regardless, it is now a Claridge problem. Do not stay.

I was pleased with our stay at The Claridge. We are a family of 3 and chose The Claridge based on location, indoor pool, and cost. My daughter and I participated in the AC 10K. The room was clean and quiet with a nice view over the park and of the beach. The hotel has an indoor corridor connecting it with Bally's wich was very convenient. We thought the pool area was nicer than both Hard Rock and Tropicana. Upon booking several reviews mentioned unsatisfactory water temp in the shower, I did not experience this, the water took a little bit to heat up but did get hot. My daughter didn't think her bed was very comfortable but seemed to sleep fine, I had no issue with the bed but thought the pillows were a little lumpy. The carpet was vacuumed but didn't feel clean, probably needs a shampoo or replace. Other than that we were very happy and would recommend as a more cost effective stay to Bally's and Cesar's

Everything was great just what reserved overview room the hall ways smelled clean and good room was nice and clean pool area was perfect pool was warm and relaxing. Little issue with check in but both front desk ladies were nice and polite. My only concerns is my family and I was hungry and went to 23flr to VUE was disappointed of the hospitality wasn’t clean and wasn’t please with staff so we left.

Happy hour was great at the rooftop bar the Vue with nachos piled high with tons of toppings and a good Long Island Iced Tea. Went out to breakfast before trying hotel restaurant Twenties, had Eggs Benedict one day and it was great. Bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast another day. The bacon was great and cut so thick you can make a meal of it. Parking was convenient with in and out privileges, centrally located hotel that you can walk to everything. A short walk down to the most southern casino, the Tropicana and a little bit more of a walk to the most northern casino ocean. Nice rooms with coffee and good air conditioning. The front desk woman was very nice and explained everything I needed to know.

Fantastic staff at check in. Bar staff is wonderful. Disappointed in the food itself as oven was broken so food was slow. Only one working elevator. Valet service was quick and friendly. Room was beautiful, clean, quiet and comfortable. The pool was warm, nicely lit and clean. Stayed here many times, hands down my favorite spot in AC. This weekend seemed busy and I think they may have been understaffed but was still overall a wonderful stay with some minor inconveniences.

It was very difficult to get to the lobby from the parking garage. The only option was the elevators, which took an extremely long time to get. Restaurants were closed when they clearly advertise them being open.
