I booked two rooms here for two nights. Checking in was confusing and frustrating due to Expedia and their hotel system not communicating well, apparently. I originally booked two king bed rooms, and ended up with one room with a king bed and a room with two double beds. The room with the double beds had a broken handle on the toilet, so you could not flush it without opening the tank. Luckily I could do this, but not everyone can. The parking lot had very limited spaces. The nicest thing about this place was that there was a gate to enter the parking lot. I would not stay here again.

Very nice place for the price. I was especially happy with the secured parking behind a gate as my car had been broken into in Portland years before

I honestly really liked this hotel, I don’t remember it having a microwave, but it did have a really safe area where you could park your car. I’m talking a gated parking lot for your vehicle at night. That was really really appreciated especially considering it was Portland! The lobby attendant was nice and very respectful:)

totally secure fenced in property/parking. Quiet large room, bed very comfortable. Newer basic remodel. good value

The one positive thing I can say about it is that it felt pretty safe, as there is a huge gate that prevents people from entering the hotel area without a key. First, they said that my reservation (through Expedia) had been cancelled. That seemed bogus, although they did have a room, and they did match the Expedia rate. The room was really unclean. Nothing seemed clean, not the floor, sink, bathtub, floor, walls, etch. Everywhere you looked at the walls, they had... something on them. Different things, but clearly the walls were never washed from splashes? Dirty hands? Who knows. The towels felt unclean. Things are banged up and broken. No bedside tables or lamps in the room I had. Lights on outside the rooms that shone through the blackout curtains, so if you woke up at 3 am, the light was bright enough for you to think it was 9 am. The whole place is grungy. It's clearly a long-term living situation for many families, which is fine, but it gives off a feeling of these poor families having to live in squalor. One sorry blanket on the bed with a couple of holes in it.

Gated property with key card access, staff is always onsite to assist Affordable while still in a decent locale. Would happily stay again.

Parking was promised but when we returned at midnight from a celebration of life we were told that gated parking was full, we couldn’t park in front of our room and would have to find street parking. We eventually got the night manager to respond, but he smelled like alcohol and initially refused us parking even tho parking was included. When we expressed that parking was supposed to be included he suddenly found us a non-secure parking space. He & the security guy were truly awful, so was everything about the place.

The room wasn't really clean when I got there.They're still crumbs inside the microwave and there is still a used bar of soap in the bathroom for. The parking is nice because it's gated and the noise at night was quiet. The water was the biggest issue.As it was mostly cold, there was only 1 day that It was hot out of the 3 days i was there.

Basic motel. Friendly staff. Bathroom was not very clean. Paper thin towels. Very secure parking. Excessive lighting at night made the room almost too bright to sleep.

Very safe, gated parking area on premises. Very good coffee place next door. Good rates for short or longer stays. Walk with friends or take an Uber/Lyft.

The bedding was not fresh.

Room was spacious but poorly cleaned. Coke can left in window sill, hair in shower and dusty bed side table.

There were bugs in the bathroom, the lady who checked me in was rude, she probably gave me the worst room. She didn’t tell me the WiFi password, and it wasn’t in the room, so I went and asked someone later and they acted like I was an idiot because it was printed on the card sleeve. I wasn’t told it was on the card sleeve, and it didn’t say it was the WiFi password. I might have gotten an infection from the bed. The carpet was disgusting. They didn’t even give me a blanket. The only reason it wasn’t zero stars was because the AC worked. I won’t go again, and I’m worried they will blame the quality of the room on me and charge me for ‘damages’ I thought it was a good deal.. but it seems like deals are for the devil

Front desk couldn’t figure out what to do for 15min and then called the manager(Indian). Other tenants were loud, sometimes playing music at midnight. Area looked shady and the property even more so. The room wasn’t clean and the sheets weren’t washed i believe. The AC breathes dirty smell. No way I’d return here.

The carpet was filthy and the room stunk enough that it affected my asthma a bit. The bed was clean and comfortable.

Room was not as clean as it should have been. The shower/tub was not clean there was hair and soap scum on the edge of the tub. The floors were not vacuumed very well. Other then that it was ok

Very dirty, old, run-down cheap place to crash in a beat-up part of town. Blazing ceiling lights in hallways burning into room window made it impossible to darken the room for sleep at night with cheesy window shades. Tenants, in number, “hang out” in front of their rooms and common areas, noisy, wall banging, right near loud Sandy Blvd. Shady things going on in neighborhood. Was worried about my car being parked there. Only “plus” was it was $70 a night. Many seemed to be “living there” full-time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The couple that checked me in were kind and friendly, but the room was filthy. There was hair and lint on the bedding, the towels were stained and felt thin and wimpy, and there were mystery stains EVERYWHERE on the rugs, most notably some large neon pink blotches in various places and some red droplet stains on the floor by the door. The photos of the property were completely different than what I got, not to mention the photos show the bed with three pillows and a comforter, but my bed only had two pillows and a thin fleece sheet.

The property was dirty with trash littering the stairways. The rooms were small with poor quality furnishings. A king room was reserved but "not available." No suitable alternative was offered. I left the property and found suitable accommodations elsewhere. Banfield studios refused to refund even a portion of my two-day payment. This is the worst motel I have ever experienced.

Pros: Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Clean bedding and linens. Sparkling bathroom. working fridge, microwave and kitchen sink. Quiet (no small feat when surrounded by a freeway and busy arterials). Excellent security with a room-key-activated motorized gate. Many fun places to visit along Sandy Blvd, including a wonderful French patisserie/restaurant (went there twice), Voodoo Donuts and some really great bars, like the Sandy Hut and the Moon and Sixpence Pub. Cool restored historic movie theater two or 3 blocks away. Cons: Some cigarette burns in the rug. I wasn't about to do my push-up workout on that rug. Excellent value.

For the reviews and the number of stars, I was expecting more. There was no coffee maker or coffee in the room, no table or chairs. The room number was written on a piece of paper and taped to the door. I choose this property as it is close to Providence Medical Center, and I had to be there the next morning for a procedure. I will not be staying there again.

The motel is outdated. The owner was friendly and check in was fine except the initial room had not been cleaned from prior guests. The rooms are studios so it had cabinets, a mini Fridge, kitchen-styled sink, microwave, and counter top. Excellent lighting of the property. Made me feel safe parking there. No seating or tables. Overall, it was ok for a single night stay.

The people working there were very nice.

Staff was great, and helped us work through a reservation snafu. However, the room itself was pretty beat up and dirty (sticky floors, stained towels, etc). Seems like maybe the big bosses are trying to run it on a shoestring budget for staffing and repairs and need to step it up a bit

I made a reservation, but when I arrived, there was no room for me. You had cancelled my reservation, and I had to get another hotel. Very inconvenient. To top it all, you charged me a cancellation fee, but it was YOU, NOT ME, who cancelled my reservation. Please cancel my cancellation fee. I have complained to Expedia. Thanks, but no thanks.

It took 45 minutes to check in. No one was at the front desk and I had to call Expedia to call the property to get someone to check us in to the hotel and then she was rude about it.

Parking is very limited. I liked that it is gated. Staff is nice but not super friendly. The room was decent but nothing special. It was fairly clean, I didn’t find any hair on anything like the other reviews mentioned. I did however find what looks like a blood stain on the pillow case. The air conditioner works great the fridge does not work well. The area around the place is dirty and you don’t feel safe. I won’t be staying here again.

Old motor lodge but is located convientently along transit including bus lines and the Max (Hollywood Station).

Good value for money. Basic facilities, but fine for a place to stay. Convenient to buses and train.

Affordable no frills motel. Great for quick stays placed conveniently near the airport and downtown. Many great shops and restaurants are just a short walk away.

This place was decently clean. I don't have the highest standards, but the carpet was dirty enough to make me think twice about being barefoot. The bathroom was probably the nicest part of the room. We walked to many great breweries and donut shops/bakeries.

Very affordable and in a central location.

The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly however my stay was mostly downhill from there. There were what seemed like nearby gunshots about midnight, loud guests taking about 4AM, stained towels in the room, and homeless individuals camping next to the property. The parking area is gated however, so cars seem unlikely to be broken into.
