Our stay at Villa Ganz was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location—especially the garden—is heavenly. Our room was on the first floor with a small private garden. I thought there might be noise from local bars but at night the room was exceptionally peaceful. The whole place makes for an elegant stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Ganz in Guadalajara and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beauty of the location - the hotel is situated in a charming, tree-lined neighborhood that feels like a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city. But what really sets Villa Ganz apart is the exceptional staff. The location was perfect for us. It was close to a wide variety of restaurants and nightlife options. The hacienda design and the beautiful courtyard were special parts of our experience at the Villa Ganz. Most importantly, we appreciated the attentiveness and warmth of the staff. This property is Beautiful, it’s a beautiful home remodeled into a small quite quaint Hotel, rooms are beautiful the patio in and outdoors are beautiful, you feel like you are at home. Let me tell you about the staff “Absolutely Amazing!” Armando, Ivan, Carlos, Leo all of the staff including the ones I can’t remember their names were GREAT! Luis Sioux Chef, wonderful. The food at the Hotel restaurant was GREAT! They were all soooo sweet, every evening we came back they would take the time to ask about our day, where did you go, did you have fun? My Husband and I would go up to our room and rest a bit, then come downstairs sit in the covered patio enjoy the weather and drink the best Margaritas, Ivan Carlos and Luis would come and chat with us and we would enjoy their company and kindness. We were there for 6 nights and not once were we disappointed. We would definitely recommend this Beautiful Hotel and the Amazing Staff! Thank you to all of you at Villa Ganz for making us feel so welcomed. Muchas Gracias

It's an exceedingly beautiful space and very comfortable. We had a large, gorgeously decorated room that opened onto the beautiful patio. We love the staff, the breakfasts, the freshly-made margaritas in the evening. The Lebanese restaurant next door is excellent. The neighborhood is great for walking. My husband and I have stayed here twice. We highly, highly recommend it.

I absolutely loved my stay at Villa Ganz Boutique Hotel! Located in the vibrant Chapultepec area, the hotel is perfectly situated—safe, walkable, and surrounded by great restaurants and cafes. What makes this place even more special is its history: originally a 1930s mansion, it was beautifully renovated into what is now the first boutique hotel in all of Guadalajara. The French-inspired charm and timeless elegance can be felt throughout the property. The staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming. We arrived early and were kindly allowed to check in ahead of time for a small fee. They even offered us coffee upon arrival—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for a warm and comfortable stay. Our room was cozy and well-appointed, with a super comfy bed and pillows. I especially loved the French doors, which we left open to enjoy the fresh breeze. The courtyard is stunning, with a peaceful ambiance and a beautiful on-site restaurant perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A couple of minor notes: the bathroom lighting was a bit dim, which made it tricky for makeup application, and the shower design caused some water to spill onto the bathroom floor. That said, these were small inconveniences compared to the overall charm, comfort, and hospitality we experienced. We were only there for one night but we loved the aesthetic and cleanliness. It truly felt like an oasis in the bustling city. The only bummer was that we were charged for breakfast and early checkin even though the rooms were clearly ready. Most properties of this level, in my experience, do not charge (especially for breakfast).

El día que llegué yo había reservado para una master suite, y cuando la mostraron era un cuarto refundido en lo mas recondito y funebre del lugar, definitivamente les dije que no podia estar ahi; me cabiaron a una suite, sin revisar que el contenedor de shampoo, acondiciandor y jabon de cuerpo estaban vacíos. por lo que cuando fueron a llenarlos (ya que son contenedores ) todos fueron llenados con el mismo contenido sin diferenciar entre shampoo, acondicionador y jabón...

If I coule leave 10 stars for the cleaning and service(front desk) I would. Excellent front desk and daily cleaning service. The front desk gave us helpful suggestions for local places and even made cocktails upon request. Cleaning was fast and detailed.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Ganz. All of the staff were great, and the hotel is located in a nice neighborhood. The hotel has been renovated which wasn't reflected in photos so the hotel in reality was nicer than the pictures.

Escogimos esta boutique hotel por la cercanía a la embajada lo cual fue muy acertado. A parte nos gusta mucho la modalidad boutique ya que la tranquilidad y el buen dormir son nuestra prioridad cuando escuchamos hemos un alojamiento. Esta casona es la típica casona tradicional de Guadalajara. Obviamente la antigua casa necesita algunas mejoras pero al mismo tiempo su estado avituallamiento con los pisos originales y paredes de los años 30 con el desgaste de los años se nos hizo muy romántico. La habitación es amplia y la cama cómoda. La terraza del comedor es muy bonita y agradable. Lo mejor de todo fue el Personal de este lugar desde los trabajadores de l construcción hasta el personal de recepción fueron muy atentos a cualquier cosa que necesitamos. Cabe mencionar que la primera reserva que hicimos no nos agradó mucho y nos hicieron un cambio más adecuado para nosotros ya que había disponibilidad. El desayuno es básico pero bueno y conveniente para quien no quiere echarse andar a buscar un café. Recomendamos este lugar para quienes la tranquilidad, el buen descanso y el servicio son una prioridad. Ah y buba el hermoso gato que se pasea por el hotel es un excelente toque para esta casona amigable y cariñoso, lo amamos!

This is a charming boutique hotel with friendly and helpful service in an ideal location. The area is full of excellent restaurants, cafes and notable architecture, all within easy walking distance. Yet, the hotel is far enough away from the loud bars and clubs to remain quiet and peaceful. It’s a quick Uber ride to Zona Centro, which is about 2 miles east. The period Spanish building is tastefully furnished and exudes old world charm.

The rooms are all unique and cute and the staff is very nice. The location is great, tons of walkable restaurants in the neighborhood and a short Uber ride to historic sites. The mattress and pillows are very uncomfortable though, those could use an update. Everything else was nice! There’s a cat that lives on the premises and while he doesn’t bother anyone, he’s happy to receive pets if you go up to him, handsome Bubba! They don’t allow him in the rooms, so no allergy worries.

We stayed in a room that was told by staff renovated. We had no phone in room to contact room service or any other amenities. But the staff were very generous and helpful with our needs. At night it rains but during day is nice and warm. The property was empty didn’t see to much guest felt like we had our place to ourselves.

I had the best experience! The hotel is an enchanted place! And they are even working in making it even more beautiful. Although the heart of this hotel is the staff, from the staff at the concierge area to everyone working there! They go far and beyond to make you feel welcome. Im a coffee drinker and they will bring me coffee to my room before breakfast started(I need coffee before the coffee). I can’t give enough praise for this hotel. It was so beautiful from the patio to the room to the staff. The staff!! They were so friendly, attentive and always exceeded expectation. Armando,Oscar, Ivan, Carlos and the entire staff made it feel like our home.

La remodelación de las áreas públicas del hotel realmente ha elevado la experiencia general; sin embargo, considero que sería ideal extender ese mismo nivel de renovación a las habitaciones. This property is Beautiful, it’s a beautiful home remodeled into a small quite quaint Hotel, rooms are beautiful the patio in and outdoors are beautiful, you feel like you are at home. Let me tell you about the staff “Absolutely Amazing!” Armando, Ivan, Carlos, Leo all of the staff including the ones I can’t remember their names were GREAT! Luis Sioux Chef, wonderful. The food at the Hotel restaurant was GREAT! They were all soooo sweet, every evening we came back they would take the time to ask about our day, where did you go, did you have fun? My Husband and I would go up to our room and rest a bit, then come downstairs sit in the covered patio enjoy the weather and drink the best Margaritas, Ivan Carlos and Luis would come and chat with us and we would enjoy their company and kindness. We were there for 6 nights and not once were we disappointed. We would definitely recommend this Beautiful Hotel and the Amazing Staff! Thank you to all of you at Villa Ganz for making us feel so welcomed. Muchas Gracias

We had a lovely stay at Villa Ganz. All of the staff were great, and the hotel is located in a nice neighborhood. The hotel has been renovated which wasn't reflected in photos so the hotel in reality was nicer than the pictures.

This is a charming boutique hotel with friendly and helpful service in an ideal location. The area is full of excellent restaurants, cafes and notable architecture, all within easy walking distance. Yet, the hotel is far enough away from the loud bars and clubs to remain quiet and peaceful. It’s a quick Uber ride to Zona Centro, which is about 2 miles east. The period Spanish building is tastefully furnished and exudes old world charm.

This hotel is very charming and in a really great, central location. Colonia Americana is a cute, quaint area of town and it is so easy to walk everywhere like restaurants and bars. Pluls, you aren't too far from Centro. The hotel staff is very nice and personable and make you feel welcome. The room is a good size, the king beds are very comfortable, the showers are hot & the water pressure is good. It is pet friendly and they have a resident cat on the property so if you are allergic to cats then I'd think twice about staying. But otherwise, I'd definitely recommend it when in Guadalajara if you want to stay in old world Mexico charm in the middle of the city.

We were only there for one night but we loved the aesthetic and cleanliness. It truly felt like an oasis in the bustling city. The only bummer was that we were charged for breakfast and early checkin even though the rooms were clearly ready. The location was perfect for us. It was close to a wide variety of restaurants and nightlife options. The hacienda design and the beautiful courtyard were special parts of our experience at the Villa Ganz. Most importantly, we appreciated the attentiveness and warmth of the staff. We love the staff, the breakfasts, the freshly-made margaritas in the evening. The Lebanese restaurant next door is excellent. The neighborhood is great for walking. My husband and I have stayed here twice. We highly, highly recommend it.

Everything was great until we checked out. They charged us $70 to replace a few towels that had some makeup on it. There was no sign indicating they charged for that and didn’t have a “dark” makeup towel to use like many hotels I’ve stayed at. I wouldn’t have use the washcloths for my face if I had known.

Great location and service, with a few areas for improvement- We had a very nice stay at Hotel Villa Ganz. The location is excellent — close to many attractions and easy to get around either on foot or with a short Uber ride. The staff were outstanding: friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The property itself is charming, with beautiful grounds and a lovely garden restaurant. Dining in the courtyard was a highlight, and the food was very good. There are a few areas where the hotel could improve. The bathroom felt a bit outdated and not quite in line with expectations for a five-star boutique property. While the room was comfortable overall, a mini fridge would have been especially helpful given the warm weather. An in-room iron or steamer would also be a convenient addition for quick touch-ups, even though laundry service is available. Overall, this is a warm, well-located boutique hotel with excellent service. With a few updates and added amenities, it would be even better.

Beautiful Hotel with exemplary service. As good or better than anywhere I’ve ever stayed. Short walk to many restaurants and bars as well. Armando, our host is first rate! The restaurant was also fabulous! Can’t say enough about this property! Muchas gracias a todos!

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff were phenomenal, the rooms and premises were clean and tranquil, the location perfect for walking to food, coffee, bars, snacks etc. You won’t be disappointed.
