The Gresham Aparthotel

Fantastic location right in the heart of the city. The room/apartment itself was beautifully furnished with all mod cons. Easy, friendly and quick check in was at the reception in the lovely wine bar underneath. The only thing was, there is no parking, however we parked up in an NCP around a 10 minute walk away. Would definitely use again.

The room.was very well appointed and bed comfortable. I ate in the associated restaurant the the food was great both nights. Parking just around the corner was just £6 overnight each time which was a pleasant surprise.

Parking is 3 mins walk in a multi story car park

Wonderful location, friendly staff, clean room, lots of amenities and comfy bed. Would definitely stay again. Right in the heart of it all and multi storey car park a short walk away. Also surprisingly quiet considering you are right near all the nightlife

Cannot fault any element of the hotel with the only issue being the lack of parking - overnight local parking is expensive and the traffic in the area is always busy. This should not put you off as the hotel itself is great.

This property provided a lovely stay for myself and a friend. The welcome was lovely and we were met with a smile and hello every time we came in/out. The rooms were clean, and well maintained with everything you might need. Despite the freezing temps outside the room was warm and cozy and not too noisy either. There are a number of parking options nearby, but watch the costs...it cost us £53 each for 2 days despite it stating there was a reduced overnight fee which didn't get applied! We would definitely stay at The Gresham again if coming back to Leicester.

Well situated in the centre of town. Lovely reception area and bar. Room was clean and modern. Used a chair as a bedside table with lamp supplied. Room a bit stuffy. Plumbing noises from other rooms were loud! No parking.

Great location. Very clean modern apartment. Friendly check in staff. Lovely bar below. No windows in our apartment which was strange. Doors close quite loudly so a bit noisy when other people are leaving their rooms. Overall very good for visiting city centre. The nearby car park on Newarke Street is expensive- £48 for two days.

I was attending an event in the city centre so the Gresham Aparthotel was ideally located. Being in the annex it was a bit of a labyrinth finding my way to the room, but I did manage to get back to it after my night out. Although there was still noise in the streets when I got back, I heard nothing in my room, which was clean and well-equipped. I was there for little over 12 hours but would definitely recommend this place for a short break in the city. Although there's no parking, being there from late afternoon Saturday until Sunday morning, I even managed to find free on-street parking nearby, but I imagine that is pretty rare.

Always a warm welcome at The Gresham. Rooms very well appointed and clean.

Lovely area, staff are very pleasant and hotel is of a great standard. This is my second time staying here however this time around the room was not of the same standard and had a very unpleasant pungent smell similar to that of blocked drains. Unfortunately the team were unable to re-accommodate me.

Really comfortable and clean room. Good facilities and the staff were all helpful and friendly.

Amazing room, spotlessly clean, good friendly staff, my only doubt was that my bed was 2 single beds joined together, at homeI naturally sleep in the middle of the bed, so was unable to...I will definalty be back to stay again, one of the best places I have stayed, Clean, safe and very rwasonably priced

Bed sheets dirty had to sleep without duvet cover, uncomfortable bed, cups also not 100% clean

The reason I selected was cleanliness was the smells around the hotel. The reception area didn't smell pleasant, I then used the lift which also smelt really bad. I then entered my room and was hit with an overwhelming odour.

It was clean, well cared for, spacious and tasteful. A must for my next visit to Leicester.

Staff were super friendly, room was spacious, well equipped and perfect for what needed (bed was also super comfy) only downside was our room didn't really have any natural light being inward facing and was in need a good deep clean as floor was v dusty.

Really nice modern hotel. My room was spotlessly clean and the staff on reception were friendly and helpful. The bar area and restaurant looked nice and was really busy, although I didn’t get chance to use them. Only thing I was disappointed with was that the room has no window, just a skylight in the roof. I don’t remember seeing a mention of this when I booked it (unless I missed it). Would definitely stay again without hesitation.

Was slightly disappointed with the room. Expected higher quality feel. Was a large space, but only a standard double sized bed. Outer windows could be closed fully (old) and this was supplemented with secondary double glazing which was nowhere near sufficient to keep out the very noisy area below, which remained until 6am. We slept very badly. Staff both on arrival and at the bar later were friendly which helped. Unlikely to used this hotel again though.

clean, modern,spacious room. nice to have a kitchen sink though i imagine most guests do not cook a meal. in the city centre easy walking distance to train and bus stations

Really noisy as close a nightclub. Breakfast the waiter was asking if you wanted salt and pepper as they didn't have enough to go round. Our salt came in a small bowl. Our cooked breakfast was of good quality and staff friendly. Bed comfortable. One thing i didn't appreciate was the online check-in process, i gave up and went old school. My wife is French and it wouldn't let me check in without her passport details. You don't need it and I found asking for it invasive.

Nice modern hotel and was pleased with the room in general, however the most important part of the room was poor - the bed. The bed was the smallest double I have ever slept in, the mattress was too soft so felt like you would fall out of this small bed and it the frame constantly creaked. The strangest thing was there was plenty of space for a larger bed

Room was very cold. Arctic cold. Bathroom was equally as cold and the heater in the bathroom didnt work. They didn't have a spare room so gave a portable heater to warm the room up at 1a.

Check in, check out and all communication ere great. The Bar service was excellent. The only item I can say that spoiled the stay was the air-conditioning in the room. It was hot and the aircon could not cope to cool the room

This was a spacious and comfortable apartment within an aparthotel. The kitchen area comprised of two hobs and a microwave, as well as a fridge with a small freezer compartment. No chopping board or sharp knives, which wasn't helpful, but everything else was there. I found the wifi too slow. My old phone wouldn't even't connect to it, but my up to date laptop did. I also couldn't work out how to keep the towel rail warm or the heating sufficiently high during the cold snap that I was visiting. But the room was lovely and spacious, well decorated and elegant, with lovely big windows and a quiet location. Housekeeping only comes once every 5 days - didn't bother me, but it might be off-putting for those expecting someone to give them the hotel experience. I had dinner at the Black Iron Social on the ground floor on my last night and wish I had gone before - the food was outstanding and the staff were lovely. The aparthotel will give you details of car parks nearby when you book but of note is the fact that the Newarke Road car park closes at 6pm on a Sunday, If you arrive before that, you'll be fine. Overnight parking from 5pm to 6am is only £2.00, but if leaving at 8.30ish, you'll be charged about £6.00 for overnight parking. Not bad for the centre of Leicester, and less than 3 minutes walk to the Gresham. I'll come back, but will bring a hot water bottle if it's winter - I feel the cold though!

Good central location, clean rooms and nice hotel. The windowless room was fine at night, but felt strange not to know what the weather was like until you'd steeped outside in the morning. The bed was oddly shaped and tiny though - our feet hung off the end...!

A spacious room with comfortable bed, convenient kitchen and shower room. We upgraded on arrival to a superior room on arrival for a small fee which I think was worth it. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Leicester. We didn't use the the bar or restaurant so can't comment but they looked good.

Very nice apart-hotel. Staff were so lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be back when next in Leicester.

staff were lovely and super helpful, needed help around 1am due to personal issues and was absolute stars and didnt make me feel pressured. so amazing there. really amazed with how lovely the staff are.

Great hotel friendly helpful staff and very convenient for city centre

Waited at check in desk for approximately 10 minutes before anybody came and acknowledged us by which time there were another 3 people waiting. Lift was out of use but got told thete was a back lift to use so that was ok. Room itself was clean and bed was comfortable. However, bathroom sink was blocked and the lights had to be re set in the middle of the night with key card. The windows didn't close fully due to them being over painted which made for a noisy night as you could here cars - police sirens and people heading home after there night out.

Great location, particularly for the university, the cathedral, and the Richard III visitor center. No street noise at night.

Centrally located in Leicester near nice restaurants and the local stores. Convenient. Well kept hotel which was clean. One material issue is the noise level as there are several bars on/around the hotel and we were kept up into the wee hours (noisy up through 2 a.m.) by people hanging around after the pubs closed.

I had not realized how beautifully located The Gresham is to old town Leicester. The Gresham could use some refurbishing (hall carpets as an example) however, the ambiance was perfect for me. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast each day was delicious with reasonable selections. My room was quite cozy and comfortable. I have other trips planned from the US to Leicester and I will always book The Gresham for my stay. Overall, it was perfect for my needs.

Perfect weekend accommodation in a 10 minute walk from the rail station. Decent lounge bar in reception. Close to the centre of Leicester, 5 mins walk from the cathedral and Richard III museum.

Excellent hotel with great bar and staff.

Clean room, great breakfast. Interrupted sleep through inconsiderate guests coming in at 3am and then taking a shower in the room above. This is third time i've stayed here and will do again.

This is so much better than a hotel. The room is big and airy with a little kitchen so we could make a snack and mugs of tea and coffee. Loved having a sofa and a table and chairs. The bathroom was immaculate. Check in and out was easy and staff were friendly. The area is quiet but the city centre is an easy walk so the location is ideal. Breakfast was excellent.

Nice enough for the price, furniture in rooms probably needs a bit of TLC. The signage for getting to the rooms on each floor is incredibly confusing however and it took a while to initially find the room. Breakfast was decent.

Lovely welcome, big comfortable warm room in a fine old building. No fridge, which seemed odd. There was a kitchen area with microwave after all. But that was the only (small) issue. We enjoyed our two nights there very much. The cooked breakfast was really good and we liked the bar on the ground floor. It was the weekend and the bar and restaurant were busy and noisy but soundproofing was good and our room above was quiet. We slept very well. Every member of staff with whom we interacted was helpful and friendly, even first thing in the morning at breakfast or at the apparent end of a long shift. Recommended!

Great location for bars & restaurants. Studio was a good size and in good condition. Only downside, limited plug points, bed isn’t of high standard and the room could do with being repainted. Limited breakfast meal but quality of food is good.
