This was a one night stop over during a multi state road trip. The facility isn’t new. However, the rooms have been updated/renovated. Everything was clean. No complaints. not a ding, just FYI, there is no elevator for upstairs rooms. Not a huge problem unless you are physically limited.

Check in was easy. The representative was very friendly and nice. The housekeeping staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel offers onsite guest laundry room. Close to a few restaurants. This place has recently been renovated and it shows, everything felt newish and clean. The bed was comfortable although a little squeaky, and the shower hot although pressure was just ok. We had some noisy cars and bikes in the morning but otherwise it was quiet. The courtyard was lovely and a great spot to chill. Coin laundry is also available. Staff were lovely. Breakfast wasn’t much, waffles, biscuits and gravy and then the usual continental. This one was the nicest we’ve stayed in our 2 week road trip.

Fantastic little stay in Amarillo! Staff was super friendly, accommodations were new and clean, ice machine and laundry facilities were great. Sausage gravy, biscuits and assortment of cereal during the week, but I hear there's eggs on the weekend. Next to a fire station as well. Will stay here every time we pass through! Dog friendly as well, very cool to see all the pups walking in the little courtyard, which is a gem btw!

This motel is awesome! It is so cute and is fully remodeled. It's conveniently located off of I-40. There are plenty of restaurants, fast food, a grocery store, and shopping near by. The staff was so friendly. The lobby/breakfast area is very nice. Outside there is a courtyard with artificial grass and plenty of seating for lounging outside, tables for eating, grills for cooking your own food, cool outdoor lighting, and a cornhole set. Also a really cool mural is painted on the side. The rooms are well designed, well lit, and clean! Everything is new. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The TV had basic channels, but there was no guide to know what the channels were, so that could be an improvement they could make. The free breakfast was good, they have a waffle maker that makes waffles in the shape of Texas, super cute and delicious, but they could use another for busier times. The sausage was yummy, definitely some of the best hotel sausage we have ever had. Overall this place was great, you can't beat the value. If I ever go to Amarillo again I would definitely stay here again.

A very cute, quirky vibe, mid century modern style, reminiscent of Austin. Sadly, the floors in my room were not clean. I called the front office to ask if housekeeping would sweep and mop. The front desk said they would but housekeeping never came. Housekeeping doesn’t come every day (the sign said MWF); however, I was there a Thursday and Friday so this shouldn’t have been an issue.

The Atrea Inn has the potential to be a really great place. However, there seems to be a lack of attention to detail when it comes to housekeeping. The floor in our room was filthy. I first noticed the bathroom floor. I tried to do a little damage control, just to get by, but my efforts, without a room and mop were futile. We soon realized that the entire floor had not been swept or mopped. It was pretty disgusting.

We were driving from flagstaff, AZ to Alabama and needed a place to stay to rest for a bit. Found this place and the pictures online look nice and the reviews were 4.2 stars….. but our room was FAR from that…… dirty rugs, smoke smell, towels dirty, flies on the wall.. I have my 5 year old with me and it was not clean at all! It was so frustrating, lessons learned tho…..

We stayed at the Atrea on both ends of our roadtrip. The first time, I was charmed by the little design touches to this highway motel, but noted that the floors of the room were filthy (as judged by the bottoms of our bare feet at the end of the night). We specifically chose it because it allows dogs and has rooms with full-size fridge/freezers (we carried food with us). The second stay, however, was alarming -- we unloaded our whole car and I pulled back the covers to see MULTIPLE dark hairs all over the sheets. I can only assume the bed linens were not changed out. CHECK YOUR LINENS! Again, the floor was filthy. This place has such potential, but it cannot get by on design and affordability alone -- they need to do thorough cleanings between guests, no excuses!

Check-in staff was pleasant and friendly. The room was clean, but the floors felt like they needed to be mopped again. They had some sort of coating and you could feel on the bottom of your feet. The heater/air conditioner was really noisy. You could hear people going up and down the metal steps to the top floor during the night. The bed was comfortable. Didnt get much rest.

The receptionist was not friendly at all and did not even greet me or welcome me . It seems I was the employee that day and she was the guest 😂. She got upset probably because upon entering she was not at the front and I have to say “hello”2 times before she showed up . I just didn’t get her name because she looked so upset already . All I remember she is kinda old and I think that was her child or granddaughter that she brought to work skating around the facility . Over all she was very unprofessional. Our checked in day was on May 18 in the afternoon between 5 I think to 7pm . So just figure it out 🙂.

Nice spot to rejuvenate before another long driving day. We had problems with our room heater (on a very cold night) - that was fixed promptly by very helpful maintenance staff person. Loved our room. It was very comfortable and reasonable. Our dog didn't want to leave in the morning!

The reception at the hotel was handled efficiently and professionally. There isn't any signs telling dog owners to pick up their dog poo and warning them they could be fined. Dog poo was in places people walk. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast has a poor setup and makes for waiting and confusion. For the price it's worth the stay.

The motel itself was fine and a good value. Good breakfast. You can hear I-40 traffic from the front side, and it is a pet-friendly motel, so many people bring their dogs to stay. (We did hear a dog whining from 5:30 am to 7 am the first morning as their owner kept them alone in their room.)

If you can, stay on the south side. There’s a fire station right next to the north side. However , I never heard any sirens. There were several diesel pickups that you could hear if you were in one of the four roo S closest to the parking lot. I definitely stay here again.

This is an aging but attractive and creative hotel a bit off the beaten path. The room was clean and neat and typical of less costly hotels in that it lacked a few amenities one usually expects. It's not hard to get around Amarillo, so being a bit out of the way was fine. We enjoyed the Asian restaurant next door and were glad not to have to drive to find a place to eat.

This is an ok budget hotel. Comfortable beds but the bathroom floor was dirty, the tub was stained in the middle rust color and had some pink mold in the corner of the tub. Breakfast was carb and sugar loaded with no straight protein like eggs or meat, or even plain oatmeal or light yogurt, plus no fruit. Staff were courteous. Ask to stay on the front courtyard side if you decide to stay here. Back side has no where to sit or be outside nor would you want to.

We intentionally chose this hotel, basically for sleeping and grabbing breakfast in the morning because we were traveling to another destination. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable, but the breakfast in the morning which was supposed to be served until nine because it was a Saturday was pretty much a basket of apples, some defeated looking pastries, three leftover sausage patties and an empty egg tray and this was at eight in the morning. There also wasn't enough seating for the people that were present let alone us. Just seems like a good way to advertise that they served a free continental breakfast, but didn't actually provide it

Great Motel! Clean and updated for the most part. Comfy beds. Shower was good but small. Room was quiet. The lobby was absolutely gorgeous and the breakfast was good. Not to often you can have a waffle shaped like Texas😂. For the price, you can’t beat it.
