Quiet and relaxing…fun rooftop for fireworks

Pool was advertised as being heated. I disagree. Also, needs a hot tub especially in in the fall and winter.

The hotel itself is aesthetically beautiful, with clean, well-kept rooms that made for a very comfortable stay. The property has great potential, but there were a few areas that left me disappointed. The gym, while spacious, felt underutilized. Adding a cable station or a Smith Machine would elevate it into a truly top-tier fitness center. The pool, unfortunately, is positioned so that it falls into the shade shortly after noon, which really limits its appeal for guests who want to enjoy the sun. I was also surprised to find that there was no jacuzzi, which would have been a welcome amenity. My main concern, however, was with the service. When my wife checked in ahead of me, she experienced repeated flirtatious comments from a staff member, to the point that she felt uncomfortable moving around the hotel alone. This was deeply upsetting and unacceptable, and it left me extremely offended. In addition, service at the wine tasting event on the rooftop was not ready at the advertised 5 PM start time, leaving guests waiting about 15 minutes before it began. Finally, when we asked a simple question at the front desk, one staff member responded in a condescending way that did not reflect the level of professionalism I expect at a hotel of this caliber. While the hotel is beautiful and has qualities worth appreciating, the lack of professionalism and inappropriate behavior from staff overshadowed the positives. I stay at many hotels in the area, but will not return here.

We just spent 5 nights at JW Marriot Anaheim and it was an excellent overall experience. Make sure to use the onsite food options they are the best in the area. We used the coffee shop every morning before Disney, had a late night wine on the rooftop deck, and breakfast at Tocca. The rooms were clean and spacious. It was fairly cold so we didn’t use the pool would have been great if there was also a hot tub for sore Disney legs but the rooms have generous bathtubs.

Incredible, attentive staff. Thank you Bri, Max, Hutchinson, Reuben, and many more whose names I can't remember. Great location next to GardenWalk and across the street from Toy Story 20 shuttle to Disney. Many food options and rental cars next door. Breakfast was good. Parkestry was a great place to see Disney fireworks. Outdoor gardens were nice. Pool was nice (fyi there is only direct sun in the morning).

Nice modern rooms. Property in excellent condition. Guest should be aware that you will likely need to pay for valet parking as self parking is inconvenient.

Water pressure was TERRIBLE! Valet parking is $70 per night plus tax? That’s insane! Other than that, everything was perfect. Loved seeing the girl at the small cafe every morning. They were so sweet!

We stayed at JW Marriott Anaheim from July 17–24 and while the hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious, our overall experience didn’t live up to the 5-star label. The rooftop bar—one of the key amenities we were excited for—was unexpectedly inaccessible without a reservation, which was never mentioned by staff during check-in or orientation. Both Seth and Joy had highlighted the rooftop as a major perk, but never once said reservations were needed. When we tried to go up, we were denied access and told it was in a text they had sent—something we felt should have been clearly explained in person, not hidden in fine print. To the hotel’s credit, management did follow up: Duncan reached out and offered us Executive Lounge access for the fireworks and complimentary breakfast (which we appreciated and used for two days). The director, Cindy, also invited us back to the rooftop bar, but we declined based on our initial experience. Valet service was excellent (although being $70 a day is ludicrous), and the front staff—including Seth and Joy—were kind and welcoming at first. That said, the hotel just doesn’t deliver a true 5-star experience, especially at nearly $400/night when you include daily parking and resort fees, There are other hotels nearby with similar amenities at a better value. One and done for us.

Hotel is great but the cleaning of rooms service was terrible

Very clean, and well-maintained hotel!

Do not let the photos fool you. The carpeting is old and outdated. We felt like we traveled back to the 1980s. Everyone in our group got bad allergies as soon as we return to the hotel. The check in staff never greeted us. He acted like we weren't there. The bellhops guys saw my wife pushing the cart with 3 large suitcases and never offered to help. The water pressure in the shower is so bad and weak. The housekeeper didn't bother to take out one of the trash bins. We even tipped them $10 daily. This is the worst 4.5 star hotel we had stayed at. The carpet is old and smelly and the staff doesn't care about you at all. Horrible horrible horrible hotel. DO NOT stay here if you want cleanliness and friendly, helpful staff.

The hotel is very nice but our room was not clean in the hard to reach areas that I always check. Such as the baseboards by the beds. I also booked this hotel for the pool as the kids were looking forward to this amenity. I was displeased to find out the pool was closed for maintenance our entire stay and nowhere was this mentioned before booking or even at the counter checking in. I feel completely mislead because of this and the hotel has failed to respond to this issue in any manner that is reasonable.

Amenities are always of a very high standard and the hotel as a whole is spotlessly clean. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly, particularly the valet and bell desk. Nothing was too much of an ask for them.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Shower was a little dirty had hair on the floor. We could hear sounds from other rooms, rolling up the window shades for example.

It was clean!

The hotel and our room were very clean. The beds were comfortable for both us and our kids. The staff were helpful in delivering our bags and loading our bags from room to car. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed here for my son’s birthday and we booked a cabana by the pool. The staff was very welcoming all-around. Our room was clean and as pictured. We had a theme park view on the 9th floor. I’m not sure what was above us on the 10th floor, but we could frequently hear chairs being pushed around which was a little bothersome. Specifically, a server by the pool and in the hotel restaurant, Heidy was super helpful and kind. Would stay here again.

We didn’t like the constant flashing of light coming from the smoke detectors as well as the bathroom mirror light does not completely turn off leaving the room too light.

Great location, comfortable beds. The bathrooms had nice toiletries, it was quiet.

Overall, a good choice if you want to go to Disney park with family. The in-room air conditioning was not functionally working enough—-too humid in room. Other than that, a good place to stay.

Beautiful hotel, very clean really enjoyed it. The room was spacious and had everything I needed.

The hotel was very nice but what troubles me is that the 2 beds provided in the room were Full beds and not Queen sized. I actually measured the width of the mattress and it was 52 inches. We were not comfortable as s couple sleeping together. Is the property lying to it's customers and trying to save money!!!!

Property was nice. Asked about best route to get to Disney on foot, was not told about shuttles. Incidental hold was $500, not told about it-$120 was what the email stated. Internet is not free. They nickel and dimed me. That’s not what I expect from a Marriott hotel. I can’t recommend and won’t be back.

When I book the the reservation it says free wifi but when I checked in I was told I need to pay for some other fees in order to get free wifi. I have to download the app and registered myself an account and codes authorization sent to email to verify for all electronic devices to get free wifi. I don’t know why they made things not convenient for you and we didn’t even have much time to stay in the room as this was our Dinsneyland trip - out in the early morning back in the late evening.

Everything was excellent (beds were amazing) except for the restaurant - very very slow service. 2hrs for dinner and 15-20min waits to be seated for breakfast. I would book again but would not include breakfast or use the restaurant again.

The staff were excellent! They personalized interactions with us. Made us seem truly welcomed!

My family and I had a terrible… TERRIBLE… check in experience. We got to the hotel at 12:00 to drop off our bags and leave them with valet so we could tour around Anaheim until our check in time at 4:00PM. We got back at 5:00 PM and our rooms weren’t ready. My brother’s was the first ready at 6:30 PM. My parent’s afterwards at 7:00 PM. My sister in law even paid a 100 USD deposit to secure two connecting rooms would be ready since she has 3 kids, and the rooms weren’t ready until past 10:00 PM. The kids had to sleep in the car. Unacceptable. We were greeted by Huntington and Jessica who were very accommodating and sweet, I’m grateful for their patience. But afterwards we were met by Alexis who left a lot to be desired of the hospitality service the Marriott chain is known for. Our rooms were never made during our stay, we were there for 3 nights. And the compensation that was promised to my mother and sister in law was never given. I’ve stayed in various Marriott hotels before, but never had this kind of experience, very disappointing.

The hotel was fine but we had just terrible room service issues. It was really bad. Took 3 hours.

We tried to check in at 4pm and were informed the room is not ready yet. We left and came back at 6:45pm and still didn't have the room ready.

Everyone was super friendly , even when just walking through lobby! Service great! Rooms super comfy!

The entire stay was incredible, especially the entire staff. Starting from valet, bell men, front desk, restaurants, bar, housekeeping, managers, everyone! Thank you!

Staff were super helpful. Location v convenient and car rental right across the street. Their roof bar opens until 11:30pm and has view of Disney. We went back to hotel every night at 11:00pm and staff were still around to help us sort things out. Love this hotel.

A good experience ruined by feeling cheated at check out. Their systems were down, our bill was incorrect, and they aren’t responding to emails to try and sort it out. What a shame as that is the lasting experience of what otherwise was a good stay

Very nice hotel. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very attentive. They have luggage storage which was very helpful. The resort fee is very reasonable as you can use part of it for a credit at Starbucks or other dining options in the hotel

Misleading in how close this is to Disneyland in advertising. Not very clean for the substantial price difference. Check in took more than 20 minutes waiting. Direct staff but not helpful or pleasant.

What a great place to stay for you Anaheim visit. All you expect from a J.W. and a convenient 10 minute walk to Disney OR an $8 Uber. Great park views from room 942, and adjacent to restauranta galore.

Close to Disneyland - walkable. Good dining close by.

Quiet, clean, good service, near attractions and close to freeway

We stayed here because it’s close to Disney. I did timed myself from walking from the hotel to the entrance of Disney and it is 15 mins of walking. Doesn’t seem far to walk. I will definitely stay here again.

Toy Story shuttles are right across the street. Very convent if you’re going to Disney.

Fantastic hotel - a pleasant and shaded 10 minute walk to Disneyland, staff were all very friendly and helpful, and room was bright, beautiful and quiet. Would definitely stay here again the next time we do Disneyland!

This hotel is across the street from Disneyland Parking lots offering Convenient and free Disneyland Toy Story shuttle, a quick 5 minute walk away. Many restaurants nearby. All staff were friendly and so helpful, we were constantly offered cold bottled water from the valet staff after long HOT (40 degrees C) days at the parks. Pool is excellent and very clean with enough super comfy oversized well cushioned deck chairs. Will definitely stay here again

Overall we really liked the property however I booked for my sons 13th birthday in hopes to use the amenities and dine at the rooftop for his birthday dinner. Unfortunately, after we arrived I found out both restaurants were CLOSED. By that time I had not booked reservations inside Disneyland. No one let me know this at the front desk as well as online. I had to call guest services as no one answered the restaurants phone (Italian restaurant and rooftop). We were very upset and the front desk stated they would have a manager call me and no one reached out. Was not looking for a comp just communication and to give feedback. Also note the rooftop was still taking reservations on open table for the day it was closed which was odd and got our hopes up! Luis from guest services was great, he was the one that had to get to the bottom of the outlets being closed. I work I’m luxury hospitality as well and this was a let down as specifically we book for restaurants and amenities. The property is beautiful and the cleanliness was top tier. We wish next visit is better!

We really enjoyed our stay at the JW. It was very quiet, clean, and an easy walk to Disney through the Garden Walk. We loved the food at the pool restaurant. The pizza is amazing! We’ll definitely be back.

Very impressive how everything smells so good. The scents machines really work. Not impressed with breakfst restaurant: poor and slow service and mediocre food. We expected a bit higher end food given the looks and the price of this place.

Very well designed and maintained property with an excellent bar and other dining options on property. The rooms are very well design for business traveler. Greatly appreciated oversized tub and shower.

Such a great place to stay. The breakfast buffet was great and a lovely way to start the day. The proximity to Disneyland is walking distance which makes it great and convenient. There are also shuttles available if one prefers to take the shuttle to Disneyland. My family and I would definitely stay again.

Overall the hotel was pretty good, prices for parking are quite high for $65/night. Some dining experiences prices are also high for $8 coffee. Service is awesome, rooms are overall good.
