Really great location right by Notre Dame and many cool places in the Latin Quarter. The staff was very nice and accommodating, particularly when storing my luggage. I used the fitness center, which was pretty cool because it feels like you’re working out in a medieval basement…which you kind of are, I suppose. The only drawback is that the room is TINY. I mean barely any room to open your suitcase tiny. I know small rooms are generally the case in Europe, especially Paris, but I suppose this felt like a bit much.

Hotel Abbatial was the perfect choice for Six Natiobs stay in Paris. It’s conveniently located near the RER B, making it easy to reach Charles de Gaulle Airport and the Stade de France. We were delighted with the variety of café bars, pubs, and shops nearby. We were particularly impressed by the quietness of our street-facing fourth-floor comfort double room. The reception staff was incredibly friendly, and we were grateful for the luggage storage facilities when we arrived early.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. It’s near the RER as well as the Metro. It’s a short walk to Norte Dame and the Seine. Boulevard St Germain has plenty of shops and cafes all over. The hotel has a very good buffet breakfast and the workers were all friendly and helpful. The gym is in the “basement “ and it looks like an old bomb shelter. They made it look really nice and put all the equipment needed while on the road. We would definitely stay here again

Perfect for a short stay/solo travel. Rooms are small but well-equipped, as are the hotel and its amenities (gym, luggage storage, kitchen/restaurant, lounge area). Staff are kind, polite and very helpful. Location was awesome - walkable to everywhere in the Latin Quarter and across the Seine, with supermarkets, boulangeries, bistros and gift stores all accessible on foot. Charming stay overall.

The location can't be beat. The staffs were kind and professional. One issue we had was that someone was smoking below our window - which happened to be right above the entrance of the hotel lobby. They should have a sign prohibit smoking right in front of the hotel. In addition, the elevator is PAINFULLY slow. Especially during the check out hours when the cleaning crew and guests are all trying to use the elevator. Over all, it's a very nice and clean hotel with great staff. I hope we will get a room with a better view next time.

Lovely little hotel close to notre dame and public transit but just off the main roads enough to be peaceful. The shops and restaurants nearby cater more to locals than tourists. And I loved having my coffee on my room’s small balcony! Note that the elevator is very very small—suitable for one person and a suitcase or two people without luggage, but it would be challenging with a stroller or wheelchair.

While the staff were attentive and professional we did not like that the junior suite was on ground level and the windows were not soundproofed. The shower had great pressure but the drain was poor so the bathroom flooded with each use. We also could not cast to the TV despite a dedicated button. The room was clean and comfortable but we expected better considering the cost for the 3 nights we stayed. Had we known it was ground level we would have opted for a cheaper room on a higher floor.

It is a great location. Easy to arrive from the airport via train and walk to the hotel. Lots of great restaurants and an easy walk to metro stations and Luxembourg Garden. The rooms are tiny. We couldn’t open our suitcases on the floor while standing. Had to be on the bed to deal with the suitcase. Air conditioner worked, which was critical during the heat wave happening during our visit. Old building, so the air system smelled really bad, but better than not having it. The curtains were falling off the wall in out room, which looked like an ongoing problem that hadn’t been repaired properly. It’s an average hotel in a great location. It will never feel like value for your money when staying in Paris. There is really nothing that would make me book here again. Not terrible though.

Very loud at night, all street noise can be heard in the rooms (even on upper floors). Rooms were extremely hot, but because of the noise it was too loud to open windows at night (cars, sirens, screaming, construction etc). The air conditioning cannot be operated from the room either. Bathroom was very musty (no fan) and the entire room smelled (like mold). Stained carpets in the rooms. We asked to move rooms, but were not accommodated by staff. The photos of the room and other reviews on Expedia were notably misleading. The redeeming feature of the property is the location and nice lobby, otherwise I would have rated 1-star.

A month long vacation coming to an end. The hotel is clean, updated and staffed 24/7. Great location to just about all the main sights. Restaurants, markets all within walking distance. The room was clean, bed comfortable and the television worked.

Meget fint hotel med god beliggenhed i Paris. Vi var desværre meget skuffede over værelset. Det var pænt og rent og gode senge, men vi havde betalt en del ekstra for at få et superior værelse med balkon. Men fik et værelse under taget med en meget lille platform på taget (som en vindueskarm), vi kunne stå på - IKKE en balkon! :( Det var virkelig en skuffelse. Spild af vores penge.

The hotel was nothing as described outside of the room looking like the photo. Uppn arrival we were told the included breakfast offered was available due to renovations which is fine that is understandable. What wasnt is the suite was actually a converted store front that still had the door to the street in place. No where in the listing did it state it would be on the ground floor. The tv was a smart tv but wasnt able to connect to the hotel wifi so no channels were available as was described when booking. Before booking we verified there would be AC yet upon arrival they stated they only turned it on during the summer. Being you are street level you cant exactly just open a window as it is a busy street. You could hear every conversation passing by and see peolle looking in the windows even through the blinds. We addressed these concerns with management who said there was nothing they could do and tried to say it was said in the listing (it wasnt when booking as I double checked). We decoded to leave as we didnt feel safe and found another hotel. All thr owner/manager had to say about our concerns is if you leave I wont refund which in itself is terrible business wjen you drastically misrepresented the product and what else is available with better quality and having an actual view for the same price range. I wouldnt recommend given the experience.

Great service!!! The desk was very helpful. The room was nice; a bit small. Bath was very modern and very small. The only objection I had was noise from the street. We had the fartherest room on the side street, but it was a bit noisy. Overall, a nice updated older hotel!

What an EXCELLENT place to stay in Paris. This was our first time to Paris and this hotel was literally a dream. He had a balcony room view of the Notre Dame and heard those magical bells everyday. AC in room was excellent, and the Staff was fantastic. So many incredible dining options around, would definitely be back to stay at this property.

The staff were always very helpful and cleanliness in the hotel was excellent. Was disappointed with the room on the whole. It was very tired looking and didn’t look anything like the photos online. There was one small wardrobe but no drawers so I didn’t bother to unpack. The shower was over a bath, with little or no support to enable getting in and out, really an accident waiting to happen. Staff did eventually provide a bath mat.

The strangest thing with this hotel is that they only give out a single, numbered keycard per room at the reception, that they want you to return any time you go out. They also doesn’t do a careful check when you get back (if the receptionist has changed), which I find a bit concerning. The safe in the room is unfortunately not big enough for a 13" laptop.

The staff is wonderful at Abbatial St Germain. They were kind, and attentive. We are in Paris at least once a year and will definitely stay here again. The location is near the Latin Quarter and all the restaurants. It is close to the river and Notre Dame. I rate my experience on whether I would return to this hotel. Without a doubt I recommend this site and will return.

This is a beautiful property located in the heart of the Latin Quarter right on Saint Germaine. Dining and food options all around. Close to markets and grocery. Two blocks from the metro and a brief two blocks from the Seine. Air conditioning was crisp and COLD. So appreciated after a long day of touring. Reception staff are friendly and helpful.

We love this hotel, the location is great and the team are lovely. Our disappointment this trip was the breakfast room being closed for refurbishment and we had paid for breakfast in advance, and now I'm having difficulty getting a refund for this (via hotels.com, not the property itself). I think we could have been warned about this and it made our stay not as nice as we expected. But it was still a lovely short stay in Paris and we will return to this hotel as long as the breakfast room is back in action!
