When you walked into hotel, you had to proceed to the holiday inn side (attached) to check in. There was roadwork happening but it wasn't loud and needs to be done. Extremely nice room and pool

not even cheap slippers in rooms. the pool is too small. the breakfast room is too small. skip the breakfast which they claim is complimentary (❗) and even the coffee. on the other hand, the suite rooms are large and excellent, except the shower and again the coffee. the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. wi-fi is strong and reliable

Reception was closed and had to go to Holiday Inn reception. Shared property and facilities. But room was new and fresh. Big tv with easy viewing from bed but only provided with casting from phone. Kitchen was well equipped and even had cleaning supplies.

It was a really nice hotel, the room was very modern and had everything you needed. I was a little disappointed with the gym (very basic). I was also under the impression that the continental breakfast was included, but I came to find out it was $10 a day. It was well worth the $10, I will say that. I just would have been nice to know that beforehand. Overall good experience. My only complaints would be the gym and the fact that there is no room service or restaurant/bar at the hotel.

Newley built hotel, clean salt water pool, kitchen and stove inside the room, you can make easy food for yourself, the breakfast was complete, just the eggs is in one form, scrambled, other than that they included everything. Close to highway, I recommend.

I like everything about this hotel! Like the swimming pool, and the pool’s hr was starting at 6am till 11:00pm. Which you can go for a swim before your breakfast and after your dinner. Love it!!!!!!!!

Staff were great, very helpful, well trained, but the room service was the worst that I have seen in my life. We did not got daily service, our room wasn’t clean as cleaned at all (Sunday to Friday) even when requested. We run out of soap and shampoo.

I feel that for the cost of the rooms there should be daily room service with new towels etc. the request for more towels took over 2 hrs.

Hotel property and rooms were very clean and spacious. Full kitchen was such a convinience. Loved that the roms had two queen beds and a sofa ;really nice. They dont allow pets to be left alone in the rooms, so we had to take turns to eat as a family, as someone had to stay in the room when we had our dog. This was a bit of an inconvinience but its undertsandable from the hotel side, but if the pet is well behaved and is used to stayinv on thier own especially as a waiver was also signed, I guess it would be helpful. Having the property with enough green space around was wonderful with pets ,especially for walks. Appreciate the poop bin at the rear of the building. Breakfast was basic, less options for vegeratrians and the seating was not enough. The refilling of the items took a lot of time as well, so there was a lot of waiting. Again we saw just one person doing everything, so seems they need at least two people to manage when the crowd picks up. I would say, the stay was excellent as we just spent one long weekend.

I loved how big of a room it was and how the kitchenette was a full one! Wasnt expecting to see that! Never used any of the kitchen appliances or anything! We arrived late and just needed to sleep and be gone by 830 am ! But i truly loved the room

The Candlewood Suites & Holiday Inn Express are “Dual properties”. They are in the same building which was very confusing pulling up because 1 side of the building says CS & the other side says HIE. Check in was in the same place at HIE. The downside is the Candlewood doesn’t include breakfast but our King suite had a full kitchen so would be great for work travel or LT stay.

The hotel is clean and modern with plenty of free parking. The location is excellent for us as we came to watch our granddaughter's ringette tournament and the hotel is minutes from the arena. Brittany Cormier was welcoming, helpful, friendly and accommodating - 10/10 for customer service as she made us feel at home. Our room is spacious and comfortable - 2 very comfortable queen size beds and a kitchenette. We like the coffee machine in the lobby. There is a plaza close by with plenty of restaurants though if you have some dietary restrictions or simply prefer to make your own meals, you can easily do so in the kitchenette - pots, pans, dishes, bowls, cutlery available, and the full-size fridge will store your groceries. We are very happy we booked this hotel, nothing really to complain about.

Made to rent room with kitchen facilities as no two double beds only. Treat hockey teams better than mature adults. No books on things to do, restaurants, visitor information about kingston. Quiet place to stay but not when let hockey teams take over motel and pool. Would not return.

Front desk staff are very pleasant and helpful. Suite was very clean and had everything needed and lots of space. There are many seating areas around hotel to sit and have a quiet coffee. Breakfast has a few timing issues to work out at the buffet. Overall a great property to stay at!

Lovely young lady at the front desk ( from Kanata ) - she was excellent. We book on Expedia months in advance and selected the option to pay later at the hotel . We had a few hour drive and during that time I missed a call from them . They left a message stating that they couldn’t get my credit card to work that I put on Expedia ( it was a Visa Debit which was the reason) and they were trying to charge me for my first full night because they were sold out and if I didn’t call back by check in they would cancel my room . I was lucky that we stopped long enough to hear the message and was able to call but imagine getting there and they gave your room away because they couldn’t get a hold of you and you couldn’t be there by check in ? I also don’t like that they were charging it without permission… a phone call asking would have been courteous but if the option is to pay at the hotel ( whether it be on your arrival or whatever) then that’s how it should be, not threatening to give the room away on a phone call while you are travelling to your destination . Hotel was a good location, close to the rink and clean .

They left a message stating that they couldn’t get my credit card to work that I put on Expedia ( it was a Visa Debit which was the reason) and they were trying to charge me for my first full night because they were sold out and if I didn’t call back by check in they would cancel my room . I was lucky that we stopped long enough to hear the message and was able to call but imagine getting there and they gave your room away because they couldn’t get a hold of you and you couldn’t be there by check in ? I also don’t like that they were charging it without permission… a phone call asking would have been courteous but if the option is to pay at the hotel ( whether it be on your arrival or whatever) then that’s how it should be, not threatening to give the room away on a phone call while you are travelling to your destination . Hotel was a good location, close to the rink and clean .

Overall the hotel its self was great. But we wouldnt sleep for 2 night because there were teenagers running the halls and pounding on the doors. One night till 1am the next till 4am. Tried calling down to front desk at 3am but there was no answer.

We had a very nice comfortable stay. The location of this hotel is perfect. Close enough to the city to have lots of Dining and shopping options, but fall enough to still have a quiet environment around the hotel. This hotel was very clean, and well kept. Would come again!

This is our "new" place to call home when in the Kingston area. We love the convenience of having a suite with kitchen facilities and all the necessary items one would need to prepare a meal. Right down to the dishwasher. This place was so quiet, no noise and was fairly busy the three nights we spent there. It is in an industrial/commercial area not really in walking distance to anything. We will definitely consider this place again when in the area.

Newley built hotel, clean salt water pool, kitchen and stove inside the room, you can make easy food for yourself, the breakfast was complete, just the eggs is in one form, scrambled, other than that they included everything. Close to highway, I recommend.

The hotel is clean and modern with plenty of free parking. The location is excellent for us as we came to watch our granddaughter's ringette tournament and the hotel is minutes from the arena. Brittany Cormier was welcoming, helpful, friendly and accommodating - 10/10 for customer service as she made us feel at home. Our room is spacious and comfortable - 2 very comfortable queen size beds and a kitchenette. We like the coffee machine in the lobby. There is a plaza close by with plenty of restaurants though if you have some dietary restrictions or simply prefer to make your own meals, you can easily do so in the kitchenette - pots, pans, dishes, bowls, cutlery available, and the full-size fridge will store your groceries. We are very happy we booked this hotel, nothing really to complain about.

Place is nice, our room had a good size, the only thing is that our room smelled a lot of food. Someone cooked some kind of indian food or something that the smell was all over the furniture and bedding. Other than that staff was super friendly. Breakfast was okay, not the best to be honest.

Front desk staff are very pleasant and helpful. Suite was very clean and had everything needed and lots of space. There are many seating areas around hotel to sit and have a quiet coffee. Breakfast has a few timing issues to work out at the buffet. Overall a great property to stay at!

It was a really nice hotel, the room was very modern and had everything you needed. I was a little disappointed with the gym (very basic). I was also under the impression that the continental breakfast was included, but I came to find out it was $10 a day. It was well worth the $10, I will say that. I just would have been nice to know that beforehand. Overall good experience. My only complaints would be the gym and the fact that there is no room service or restaurant/bar at the hotel.

Hotel property and rooms were very clean and spacious. Full kitchen was such a convinience. Loved that the roms had two queen beds and a sofa ;really nice. They dont allow pets to be left alone in the rooms, so we had to take turns to eat as a family, as someone had to stay in the room when we had our dog. This was a bit of an inconvinience but its undertsandable from the hotel side, but if the pet is well behaved and is used to stayinv on thier own especially as a waiver was also signed, I guess it would be helpful. Having the property with enough green space around was wonderful with pets ,especially for walks. Appreciate the poop bin at the rear of the building. Breakfast was basic, less options for vegeratrians and the seating was not enough. The refilling of the items took a lot of time as well, so there was a lot of waiting. Again we saw just one person doing everything, so seems they need at least two people to manage when the crowd picks up. I would say, the stay was excellent as we just spent one long weekend.
