Great breakfast buffet with a lot to choose from. Friendly staff. As a regular gym goer I wasn't impressed by the gym. I've seen both worse and better hotel gyms. You could at least get some work done. Very close to the underground and bus stations was a definitive plus. Rooms where clean and tidy. If they fixed the strength training part of the gym I would definitely stay here again because everything else was to my satisfaction. If you're not a gym goer I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for a work event. The day I booked- actually two hours later- my location changed 45 min Away and the hotel refused to let me have a refund or change hotels or even to another property of Theirs. Expedia and the hotel Both claimed it was up to the other. The smoke alarm went off during the middle of the night. And the air and heat was tricky- kept waking up to no air and a boiling room. Or freezing when I tried to get warm. We had a few incidents where the elevator got stuck, and a really creepy guy stared at me all the way up the elevator and came to my floor. And the hotel had a strange setup- when trying to get back from the gym I got lost because it’s in a different wing from some rooms. But the staff was super super friendly and accommodating and helpful. The place was very clean other than the sofa thing and headboard which were dusty. The area has a lot of food options, but it was 30 min taxi or Uber from most things in the city I tried to get to and thus an extra expense.

Good location and nice hotel. There is a free parking outside hotel from 7pm to 8:30 am (based on availability). There are few parking around but expensive. I parked at City Car park which was 8-10 mins walk to hotel and is only £15 for 24 hours. Thanks

From the welcome reception to the attentiveness of checking everything ok, sorting a small issue with the tv and providing extra pillows within 3 mins of request, this was a GREAT hotel find. It's situated right at the Aldgate end of Beick Lane so 3 minute walk to a variety of restaurants in a great atmosphere. The double glazing was great, blocked out all noise. Air conditioning was quiet and effective. TV was HUGE! Room and bathroom were spotless. We were in room 27 on ground floor. Breakfast was great, varied and good quality. Only downside was rudeness of other guests not looking where they were going. The only improvement could be a "one way" direction on the buffet to stop this ignorant behaviour. Overall a great stay and would definitely go back

The property itself is in good condition. Very quiet rooms. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Hot breakfast is outstanding! The area around the hotel LOOKS kind of sketchy. Graffiti and litter around the area. However, I had absolutely no problems with anybody around there. Not nearly as bad as I first expected just seeing the area. We felt very secure in the hotel. You need your room key to enter the hotel and to get through locked doors inside, and used your room key to use the elevator. My wife and I walked all around the area and no problems at all. Looks can be deceiving! I would definitely stay there again now that I saw there was really nothing to worry about.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hampton by Hilton London City. The room was spotless and the bathroom bright and clean. The shower was excellent. I also like the toiletries which were without chemicals. Breakfast was a great buffet and very nice staff. Haris one of the staff was very kind and smiley and offered great service. The only thing I'd add was the TV didn't operate on my 2nd day which was odd and I couldn't get an answer from reception when I called (but it was 10pm when I'd got back). Other than that it was perfect. A very quiet room even though it was close to the lift I didn't hear anything.

The property was as advertised and a good price. Staff at reception welcoming. Room was cclean, well laid out with all that was needed. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff, especially Adi were ver friendly and helpful. What was not nice was on checkin being told what we wouldn't be getting because we didnt book using the Hilton Honours scheme. It felt like we were tier 2 guests because we used Expedia. Also the volume on the tv was stuck at a very low volume. I respect that this might be a courtesy to guests in other rooms but unless they had bionic ears that wasnt necessary. A good hotel but not one I'd be running back to. Btw our hearing is normal.

When I first arrived, I noticed the bed sheets weren’t completely clean—they had a few small hairs and some dust. However, after requesting a change, the staff quickly replaced them and from then on, the stay was excellent. The location is fantastic, with plenty of shops and restaurants within a five-minute walk, plus a nearby Tube station that made exploring London easy. The breakfast was delicious, and the lobby had a very welcoming atmosphere. Overall, an extremely pleasant and enjoyable stay.

I took 35 minutes to get checked in because the two desk staff were both checking in one person, and then offered to take their baggage to the left, help them with directions to stuff in London and generally chat about their trip. There was a queue of about 10 people waiting and they could. not. care. less. When I finally got to the desk I was happily told I was upgraded on my room, which sounded great, except when I got to my room, it was in the basement, tiny and had a small window directly facing a wall, so had no light. If this was the *upgrade* I dread to think what the original room was like... Also got told I was given "complimentary" breakfast, which would have been fine, but I paid for breakfast when I booked the hotel and they wouldn't offer a refund on that... The condition of the hotel looks "OK" on face value - fairly clean (though my toilet was cracked and dirty), but all the fixtures and fittings were soulless. The rooms are in a labyrinth of corridors with signs pointing to staircases which were locked and inaccessible, so finding your way around was a bit of a nightmare. All in all, a very disappointing experience for a hotel with the Hilton brand name associated with it. I won't be staying again, and I wouldn't recommend it, either.

Had a lovely stay at Hampton by Hilton London City. The room and facilities were nice. However there are small remarks. I always like to sleep with a fresh air flow, but our window could not be opened. It also did not have an air vent, so was quite muggy in the morning. Next to that, there was a small yellow light in the room, that lit up the ceiling a bit. Which caused me waking up a few times thinking my friend was on her phone. The room was a bit noisy as well, but only from what was happening on the hallway. Overall loved the friendly staff and the location. Was very close to exit 3/4 of metro station Aldgate East, which would take you into the city center very frequently.

Stayed here with my wife and 10 year old son. The location is incredible with great access to Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Liverpool St etc. Service was top notch. Everyone we spoke to had a smile on their faces. The team couldn’t do enough to help. Flawless service. The room was small but clean and fresh. Breakfast was a real surprise. The number of options available was amazing. Fresh waffles, cooked breakfast options, fresh fruit etc. We’ll definitely stay here again.

First time here, have stayed in the area, so i was aware of the great location to the underground and bus routes. Check in was smooth and simple, polite friendly staff. My roon was on the 3rd floor a nd away from lifts, exactly what i like. That being said the room itself was very compact, very limited space around the bed, the external window was fully frosted (assuming not a good view). The bathroom was compact also, and the water pressure (from the shower) not great. Despite the "not greats" i would come back and hopefully get a better room.
First time here, have stayed in the area, so i was aware of the great location to the underground and bus routes. Check in was smooth and simple, polite friendly staff. My roon was on the 3rd floor a nd away from lifts, exactly what i like. That being said the room itself was very compact, very limited space around the bed, the external window was fully frosted (assuming not a good view). The bathroom was compact also, and the water pressure (from the shower) not great. Despite the "not greats" i would come back and hopefully get a better room.

Property Manager Rakesh is a fantastic person. He took care of everything right from check-in till check-out. He made sure that every hotel guest is happy. I am very happy to see this level of hospitality. Great job by every staff member. I’ll book my stay again for my future London trips.

After managing to get inside (the first main hotel I've ever seen around the world where arriving guests may have to buzz for entry to get past the firmly-closed 'automatic' front doors, unless you have a key card), check-in was fine, although I had to correct a couple of things about the room that was first offered. However, the hotel itself was very nice, and all the staff were also notably very friendly. The room was also a good size, and quite comfortable and clean. The TV remote was terrible - confusing to be able to adjust the volume - and the in-room safe lock just wouldn't work properly, but they were minor issues. Packed breakfast times were something of a free-for-all, but the food selection was fair, and the staff on hand were helpful and efficient. Waiting times for the small lifts/elevators were often a slight issue, but that can be common in a hotel like this. The area around the hotel is rough and run-down, but that's London for you. There's a Tube station very close by, so travel was very handy and easy; also a decent Tesco supermarket around the corner for stocking up on food or essentials. So, overall, we had a good stay, and it was good value for money. I'd definitely recommend staying here, and will look to see if it's available again for any future stays.

Pleasantly surprised by this brand hotel. It was immaculately clean and very modern. The rooms, although not huge were ergonomically designed to make best use of the space. Handy for Brick Lane and Aldgate East underground. Felt very safe on Brick Lane but Whitechapel Road which is close is very seedy. I thought the cooked breakfast was disappointing. Really enjoyed this property, clean, friendly, well appointed. Within walking distance of the Thames and key historical sites in London. Close to tube stations, although parking is really challenging. Close to Spittlefield Market, which is a lovely area to explore.

Arrived early and our room was ready straight away, which was an enormous help. Large, tidy room, with good sized beds. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, large t.v, hairdrier, fridge and iron and ironing board. We went to breakfast at 09:30, and it was extremely busy. I would recommend either going early or after 10am.

The property was as advertised and a good price. Staff at reception welcoming. Room was cclean, well laid out with all that was needed. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff, especially Adi were ver friendly and helpful. What was not nice was on checkin being told what we wouldn't be getting because we didnt book using the Hilton Honours scheme. It felt like we were tier 2 guests because we used Expedia. Also the volume on the tv was stuck at a very low volume. I respect that this might be a courtesy to guests in other rooms but unless they had bionic ears that wasnt necessary. A good hotel but not one I'd be running back to. Btw our hearing is normal.

The property itself is in good condition. Very quiet rooms. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Hot breakfast is outstanding! The area around the hotel LOOKS kind of sketchy. Graffiti and litter around the area. However, I had absolutely no problems with anybody around there. Not nearly as bad as I first expected just seeing the area. We felt very secure in the hotel. You need your room key to enter the hotel and to get through locked doors inside, and used your room key to use the elevator. My wife and I walked all around the area and no problems at all. Looks can be deceiving! I would definitely stay there again now that I saw there was really nothing to worry about.

Room was very nice , however reported to reception at 5pm that that the sink plug was stuck and water was not draining away. Male staff member promised to get this sorted whilst we went out for dinner that evening, however on our return 4 hours later, sink was still full with water, shaving stubble and toothpaste as nothing had been done. No explanation or apology was made during check out at 11am the following morning which given that we were on the whole pleased with our stay, made us think whether we would stay at the hotel again.

Great location, a couple of minutes walk from the tube and on two tube lines, so easy to reach all the London attractions. The rooms are clean and modern, just a little small for 3 people but adequate for a 2 night stay. The rooms have AC which was great. Breakfast was very busy as expected during the school holidays. A great choice of hot food, cereal, fruit and the waffle machine. Staff were friendly and helpful. If visiting London again in the future, I would definitely look to stay here again.
