The restaurant is conveniently situated for visiting south Birmingham. It has a large car park and parking is free. The hotel has a large bar area and a restaurant, The bar serves bar snacks and the food is good and the service is efficient and friendly. The rooms are large and very clean.

The room was comfortable and very clean. Little extras such as the ironing board was much appreciated. Locality of car park also good and bar was comfortable with the right level of ambience. Scores were reduced as not disability friendly. All rooms are accessed by some stairs, albeit for some no more than 6 and no lift. As reliant on crutches and juggling luggage I requested a ground floor room. Advised all rooms have stairs but they did try to accommodate me by placing me in a room with as few stairs as possible. Hotel would not beable to accommodate wheelchair users

Checked out a night before I was due to. Venue is a hotel which caters for events as well. Extremely noisy until late at night. Leaving in the morning found food waste, vomit, broken glass outside main entrance door and car park. If you expect to actually rest there, you will be disappointed.

Plenty of parking and pleasant staff. Good size room with table and two chairs. After using the showers the bathroom floor was very wet and slippery. Good bar area and wood fired pizzas served.

Nice hotel with good acces to M42 & M5. Good sized rooms & bed, but pillows were tired, flat, hard & uncomfortable. Staff were friendly, dressed appropriately & provided a great service. Safe for lone female travellers. No lifts, so request room near to reception if you are not good with stairs. Ample parking.

The exterior was nice but the room had a mouldy smell and there was weird stains on the walls and could feel crumbs on the carpet as if it hadn’t been hoovered at all or properly. It just didn’t feel very clean but the bed was very comfy and the sheets were clean.

Easy to find. Access to hotel was clear but should advise up a number of steps. Greeting was basic but efficient as I was the only person at reception. Some stairs and no lift to negotiate with heavy luggage as no lift. Corridors were tired, stained and tatty so I was reasonably surprised by the cleanliness of my room which was good. I say reasonably as mould in bathroom did let it down. Room was serviced every day which was nice too. Maybe a refurb is in the plans

Not the best, not the worst. Definitely needs some updating, decorating and cleaning, especially in the bathroom. The staff were lovely, check in was quick and easy! Cannot comment on food as we didn’t eat in the restaurant. Not worth the £75 asking price for the night.

Staff were amazing, very attentive and helpful but the rooms are well past their best before date. The walls in the room were filthy and looks like grease all over them. Our window was minging and you couldn’t see out of it. The room was stifling but I asked for a fan and got a small one, better than nothing. The soap dispenser had dust all around it and no other amenities in the bathroom, as described online. No glasses to drink out of, just 2 mugs. A few tea bags and one packet of (2) biscuits between 2 of us. The carpets all need replacing throughout the hallways and the room. It served its purpose but would I go back, probably not. As I said, the staff were lovely and it had a busy bar, there were no other bars around so that helps.

The hotel is ok. Very basic. A fridge in the room would be ideal. Also extra toilet roll. Cheap 1 roll toilet roll was not enough. Shower quite weak and did not stay in the holder well. On the plus side room is large with a huge bed. Everything was very clean. Little touches could be done to improve and make a big difference. Food was very overpriced for what it was. However the staff were lovely.

A great stay. It’s a lovely hotel - very friendly staff and excellent service. We had a standard double and it could have been updated, but overall was clean and large with all facilities you would expect. Quite cold as wall heater not adequate for size of room. Bring warm pyjamas. Bar also chilly, but very pleasant to sit and have a drink. We had a family get together at the festive Sunday lunch and it was excellent. Food very tasty and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you! We would definitely stay here again.

Noisy - wedding reception - music LOUD at Reception. Bathroom shower drain hadn't been cleaned out for a long time so water drained slowly; bathroom door lock was broken. Dated property - needs some renos. Beds and mattresses were very hard but surprisingly we both got a good night's sleep. We did appreciate the restaurant staff accommodating us for a late dinner when we arrived at 9.30PM. We won't be back, there are better properties in the area.

Booked ground floor room because of mobility issues and informed hotel of this, but still had to deal with two sets of stairs to access our room. Check in was slow and not informative. Had to run the gauntlet of smokers to access the hotel. Tried to order room service but in room phone not working. Went to reception to order food only to be told that they do not serve after 9.00pm despite advertising 24 hour room service. They also demanded a credit card to go against room charges, something which should have been “requested” at check in. Very disappointed throughout and would never stay here again.

Stayed for one night - got the train from nearby Longbridge to Villa Park stadium. Arrived at midnight and check in guy was very helpful, he opened the bar to sell me a drink I needed. Room was fine, big bed. Hotel is a bit worn around the edges but ok. Breakfast was a bit slow, it was a buffet but the one girl working there served everyone one at a time which took a while when there was a queue. Would be better to let us serve ourselves. Ample free parking. Fine as a place to sleep.

We enjoyed our stay at Westmead, the only fault I can say about was the breakfast on Saturday morning, It had been kept warm and was not freshly cooked except the eggs, I had trouble cutting they sausages, they were that hard. and I found a couple of hairs in the food. The breakfast on Sunday was a different experience and was good.

Good sized room with huge bed. Despite a noisy wedding in the hotel, there was no noise in the room. Bar food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff friendly and helpful.

The staff seemed really badly organised, no communication between check in staff and bar staff. The food is over priced and over cooked, my breakfast wasn't edible. Poor.
